Flower Princess

This perfume deserves way more love and attention. But I guess that's good for me that it doesn't, because it means the likelihood of someone else wearing the same perfume is low ;) I suppose the fact that it's no longer sold or made in the U.S. contributes to its minimal recognition, which is a shame really because it's suuuch a lovely scent. And really, lovely is the perfect word to describe it. If *only* it was a tad bit stronger and had better staying power, it would be the perfect fragrance imo. No other perfume I've tried makes me feel as feminine and just...pretty wearing it. The name is spot on really, as you feel exactly like a ~flower princess~ with it on, as cheesy as that sounds. I like how it's fresh and not too heady while not being too masculine/neutral. It's super feminine and soft, and I imagine anyone else wearing it would be a dream to hug lol. It's not overly sweet either, which you'll find with a lot of fruity-floral fragrances aimed at the younger crowd. It's more floral than fruity, but without the bitterness or in-your-face quality I find with a lot of other florals. I am obsessed. I slightly want to horde a stash of these before they stop making them forever (God forbid), but #collegelyfe says otherwise. I'm 21 and have loved this since it came out in '06, so I'm guessing an older crowd looking into perfumes probably wouldn't have the same opinion-- probably too light and insubstantial. But for me right now, this is one of my favorite--if not my favorite--scents still. I really wish it wasn't limited edition, but at least it's still sold on the magical wonderland that is the internet.

This was one of three Vera Wang perfumes that I blind bought for fun because they were a great price. This was the one I was most excited about, because I love floral and amber perfumes. Flower Princess is a fresh white floral scent. When I first sprayed it, I immediately liked it. I wasn't wowed by it, but it was nice. It was very strong white floral, and I wasn't getting much else. I've been wearing it for a couple hours now, and I have to say that I really like it a lot. The dry down is so pretty! Once the floral notes calm down a bit, the musk and amber come through, along with apricot. It gives it a very nice warmth to balance things out. One thing I will say is that the sillage is not great on this. I sprayed a few sprays on my wrists, and it faded pretty quickly. I had to reapply, and sprayed the insides of my elbows and my neck as well. I need at least 8 sprays to be able to actually smell like I'm wearing perfume, lol. Flower Princess isnt exactly unique, but it is very pretty. It does remind me of a couple BBW scents, like Wild Honeysuckle and Lily & Green Tea. However, Wild Honeysuckle is more earthy and pungent. I would say FP is closer to Lily & Green Tea, it has the same light green freshness. They both have lily, although different types, and amber. The ivy and the tea lend similar green notes as well. So all in all, a successful blind buy and I'm happy to add this to my collection!

I love PRINCESS. I remember the first time I wore this beautiful perfume portraying Cinderella on Disney Cruise Lines about a year ago this month. I have also worn it as Princess Aurora Sleeping Beauty. It suits the Disney Princess costumes and I could see myself wearing this as Snow White, Ariel or Elsa from Frozen. This is a very soft powdery little perfume. The design of the bottle is adorable in the shape of a heart adorned with a crown. The fragrance I can describe as being fruity, floral, amber woodsy. I don't think this has any musk. My mother who is in her 60's wears a lot of musky perfumes and this is so not a musk. I can smell the apricot, the tangerine and something orange, not entirely citric, probably the pairing of mimosa and orange blossom. This is a perfume with little power it's a soft scent and probably lasted about 2 hours but I wasn't keeping track of time. It's sold as an adult fragrance but the design of the bottle and the scent itself is really youthful, like it's actually a perfume a mom AND her under-18 daughter can both wear. This is a dreamy delicate perfume that I have loved for a long time. I recommend this perfume for women who are young at heart and who want to feel like the princess she knows she is.

I blind bought this one because I already have the original Princess, wanted to try a new floral fragrance and this was reasonably priced so no big deal if I didn't like it and the bottle is cute. When it arrived I sprayed a bit on my wrists and at first I didn't like it, I though it smelled like fabric softener, somewhat like the new Ocean Dream which I absolutely hated. However, to give it another chance and make up my mind, after taking a shower I liberally sprayed all over my body and hair, like about 15-20 sprays and got dressed. The flower scent filled up the room beautifully, I felt like I had stuffed my nose in a fresh bunch of lilies, could also identify a little musk, amber, rose and something fresh citrus-y. I got compliments on this when out and about and after 12+ hours can still smell the lovely floral notes on my clothes. Officially my favorite fragrance now.

At first, I’m going to be honest I didn’t really like it; it reminded me of fresh scented baby wipes. After a while though, it really grew on me. It smells like a sweet candied floral on my skin (no specific flowers however) this may be a rebuy, but I’d usually want something with stronger silage, which this one lacks. Longevity: 6/10 Lasts quite enough for me, but not what I would want Smell: 8/10 Smells amazing after a while- at first a little off-putting, but the more you smell it the better it gets. Sillage: 3/10 I can smell it in the aroma around me, but unless its really windy and they’re pretty close to me- nobody is gonna smell it. It smells like a sweeter version of my favorite body mist (Aqua Kiss by VS- probably sweeter florals and the fruit) it’s watery while being sweet and fresh.

I was quite into this Flower Princess at the first sniff, its floral note really attracted me. That made it standout comparing with a double of "sweet notes" I was testing at the same time. I have used about 15ml out of my 50ml bottle, but now... I just find it not that special, pherhaps because it's not that intoxicatingly changeful: the top note, middle note and the base note are almost the same to me. It's classified as "Floral Fruity" on this webpage, though I can't tell any fruity note from the entire life of this fragrance. I'm a little disappointed, for I thought I had found my signature scent, but I'm wrong. I'm repositioning it from "Love" to simply "Like". ---------Update: Green Tea + Jasmine, good enough for summer. (07/14/2010)

Floral bouquet noticeable in a way that feels like a fresh shower on a warm spring morning. Slightly soapy at first, but then developing into a warm, sweet floral. The sweetness is not overbearing, but it's there. I initially received this as a gift sometime circa 2009 after wearing regular Princess for a while, and made Flower Princess my spring/summer fragrance and Princess the fall/winter go-to. However, I enjoy Flower Princess immensely and like to wear it year-round. It's like having a touch of spring with you every day. I love it and get compliments when I wear it.

It smells clean. It smells like shampoo in the best way possible. The white flower smell is strong at first especially water lily. As it dries down it becomes sweeter and more citrusy. The lasting power is very moderate. I sprayed this on me after a shower and I feel like I smelt clean even after I was dry. It’s worth the price considering it was less than 30$ CAD. It’s a very fresh floral in my opinion

I really like this Vera Wang scent because it's floral. The bottle is just like almost all the other Vera Wang perfumes with the heart and crown lid. I love the beginning and ending notes of tangerine and ivy green notes in the beginning and base of amber and peach. I recommend this to all Vera Wang lovers out there.

This has got to be my favorite spring perfume! It’s such a beautiful youthful (but not too young) sweet floral fragrance. The water lily is quite prominent as is the jasmine. The dry down is like a soft citrus fragrance that’s still noticeable after several hours. I probably got 6-8 hours of longevity out of this.

It smells or rose and jasmine - a very sweet rose, like a garden labyrinth with vanilla cake smell coming from the open kitchen window. It s a fragrance for young woman, but it not smell like a princess at all. More like little Red Riding Hood, innocent and girly.

I really love this one but not as much as the original Princess. A nice floral perfume that is pretty and youthful, just like you would imagine it would smell like.

11/18 - I was sitting in the library on the computers and this girl about 20 feet away from me sat down. A few moments later, this beautiful scent wafted over to me. Clean, floral, elegant... I KNEW it was her. I told myself to keep quiet and just enjoy the fragrance, but the more it enveloped around me, the more I HAD to find out what it was! I mustered up enough nerve to go over to her: "Pardon me. I know you're going to think I'm crazy, but what is that wonderful scent you are wearing?" She and her friend looked at each other and laughed, but she blushed and politely said, "Thank you. My brother gave it to me as a gift, and I don't know what it is... Princess-something?" I asked, "Is it Vera Wang?" She turned around and did a web search and, when she found this bottle, she pointed and exclaimed, "That's it!" I immediately went out and bought the 3.4 oz bottle and I am not sorry. Not one bit. It's exquisite - just what I adore in perfumes - it's a glorious fusion of florals and fruits. Crisp, airy, clean. This is what I want to smell like always, even when I've not seen a shower in 18 hours. It's perfect for moments when you're in close proximity to others as long as you've not bathed in it. This is what being a woman and the wondrous feminity we celebrate is all about! I had the original Princess, which my husband always complimented. When I found out my sister in law loved it, I gave her my nearly full bottle with the intention to purchase another original princess for myself. However, when I saw the Flower Princess flanker and read that it had a prominent water Lily note, I was curious and intrigued so I blind bought it. Indeed, I this is a lovely water Lily perfume with what I would describe as a sheer iris. Some reviewers are comparing this the Avon Haiku; which I would put both Flower Princess and Haiku in the same family but I do not think they are the same or dupes. Flower Princess is less green and sharp than Haiku. It has none of the chocolate or coffee notes of the original Princess. I consider the original Princess to be an autumn or winter scent. If you like floral perfumes, I highly recommend Flower Princess. I normally wear Lily of the Valley perfumes and now I am thinking I also like water Lily perfumes based on how I like Flower Princess. Very fresh, shear, and “watery.”

This is a very clean and fresh white floral, simple and easy to wear. I can imagine it being a safe office scent as it is unoffensive and lacks character, but I feel this is the charm of Flower Princess. Of course it is not anything unique or special, as it is marketed for teenagers and maybe needed to be a nice, floral all-pleasing scent. You are not missing out on anything if you don't have/get this one. I like the simplicity of it-is perfect for days when I feel I want some gentle and girly perfume to wear. I also find this is great for layering. It is a super girly bottle that looks very pretty, but overall not a must smell or must have. Still more than happy to wear it, and I have to note that longevity and sillage are surprisingly great for this. I could easily smell it after 6-7 hours, without having to bury my nose in my wrist and it only came off after a shower. I was very impressed by the performance.

i thrifted this last summer in the heat of new orleans. i immediately recognized the iconic vera wang princess bottle design and picked it up assuming it was the original but was still pleasantly surprised to find out it was the flower flanker. this fragrance is nothing special really, just a strong white floral scent. however, the staying power is insane! 12 hours will pass and this will still be going strong on me, every time. this is awesome for layering, since it lasts so long and works well with my chemistry. even though its a little basic on its own, i just love having this in my collection. :^)

At fisrt I wasn't particularly fond of this scent so it sat on the back burner for a while. Eventually I tried it again and I was suprised how well it worked with my skin! I don't think I have ever been complimented as much about my perfume as I did with Vera Wang Princess. The intensity of the floral that I didn't like at first fades into a soft, feminine scent that follows you everywhere all day long and mus really do something for the fellas because I couldn't stop all the complements hehehe! Pretty good stuff.

This fragrance has more of a fruity musk scent. There are some floral notes I can tell but it is not overpowering. This is a scent I like. I love the pretty, romantic scents. And Princess certainly smells like something a Princess would wear. I like this and would buy it again. My mom didn't like it for her she said it smelled too young. But I think this scent would be good for most ages. If it is too girly of a scent than Miss Dior Cherie may be a better scent to try

I finally tried it on my skin today. I love it when I sniffed it on the testing paper. But today when I spritzed it on my skin, it was not as good as I expected. It's just "sweet" floral and nothing more than that. Also, it disappeared within an hour! I was so suprised as the original one last quite long but this one didn't work on me. I will buy one for collection, but I don't think I will use it for special occations. I love the bottle.

Picked up Flower Princess today for $30 unsniffed. I was betting that I would like it based on the good reputation of Vera Wang's brand (usually reliable for nice scents) . I wasn't mistaken. This is very soft, pretty, girly, and young. It smells like a field of wildflowers and jasmine on a warm spring day. It's inoffensive, which makes it a nice perfume for school and work. Unfortunately, the silage and lasting power aren't very good.

I sampled this little treasure at a fragrance counter. On my skin vanilla really comes through but I love the florals and also there is a bit of freshness to the scent. It is a lovely understated fragrance that can be worn on weekends or to the office. It's not pronounced enough on me to wear on dates or to special occasions but it is easy and comforting. I am looking forward to adding it to my collection.

This smells just like bbw wild honeysuckle but without the melon smell! It's also reminiscent of happy by clinique. Ive been trying out the princess line and I'm learning I had those smells all along. Noir smells like VS forbidden pure seduction, power smells like Ralph, preppy smells like coco mademoiselle, night smells like jessica Simpson fancy, etc...

I finally got this one yesterday at Marshalls 3.4 oz for $39.99 and I like this better than the original Princess it smells alot like Ralph Lauren Style to me but a little bit sweet and it is stronger smelling than the others in the Princess line. I want another bottle I could wear this everyday its so pretty and noticable! 5 stars!

i smell sweet vanilla ..it reminds me of Hanna Mori..a nice sent very young at heart..very pleasant some how its fit for a fairy tale princess whose not older than 17 years old..its a mass production perfume just like any other sweet perfume does not have a character of its own..yet is likable by young fairy lovers! rating 3.5 out 5

I, too, thought I had the original Princess... thrifted her for $15 as a blind buy because I liked the packaging. She's cute, nothing groundbreaking but I never liked strong florals anyways and I appreciate that the jasmine doesn't overtake the water lily. I do wish I got more tangerine from this fragrance though.

My experience with this perfume was simply upsetting. My friend is in love with original Princess but since it's to sweet for me i decided to try the Flower one. What a disappointment it was. Yes, smell is nice but it doesn't last at all. I could spray it all over and it would disappear in 30 min anyway :(

Typical floral :) to me this smells like a watered down Haiku. It absolutely could be a dupe. Great for spring and summer. It smells clean and fresh. Anyone could wear this and its a safe blind buy! Its also my first princess so I can't compare it to any other flanker. Its good though for the price!

It's nothing special or revolutionary, just a nice, basic, watery-floral scent. Let's be honest though, the best part about the Princess line is that every bottle comes with a little ring! I miss the days when the cereals and magazines each had a little toy in them, you rarely get that as an adult!

My baby! My Flower Princess lol! I really do like this scent alot I have a full bottle and I don't want to use it because it is a limited edition and I don't want to run out! If I can find another bottle I will use it but for now I keep my lil baby girl full and safe on my dresser!

Pretty spring and summer floral freshie. Nothing unique but it's clean, pleasant, soft and inoffensive. Longevity could be better but it's typical for Vera Wang fragrances. Projection is a little less than arm's length for the first hour or so and then it becomes a skin scent.

Soft, too soft for my taste. I get a lot of citrus and water lily going on here. This is made more for fairies than princesses. The projection is pretty bad, so if you like to be noticed, this one is not for you, but if you love skin scents, than here you go.

I was disappointed in this because I LOVE Vera Wang's perfumes and have several of them. This was too watery, too non-descript flowery. I use it as an air freshener. It doesn't smell bad. There's just not much to it.

Very flowery pleasant scent. Clean and fresh. Pretty heart shaped bottle with detachable ring with pink crystal stones. As for longevity...IDK I just received this bottle 3.4 oz

super light, fresh and clean. it’s honestly nothing extraordinary, just a super basic light floral. doesnt last very long on me but i loveeee using it for layering.

strange observation but smells really good when you spray just before a shower then wash off with water. simple and cute, reminds me of the 2000's, i'm a fan :)

Light, sweet and refreshing. A fruity/flower summer scent. Not heavy like the original. A scent everyone will like. A spring/summer fragrance.

An uncomplicated pretty floral, nothing groundbreaking, a nice safe unobtrusive scent, clean floral shower gel type scent.

A good choice of Vera for the younger set. I bought it for my 20 something daugther a few years ago, and she liked it.

It smells lively, florally vivacious. It reminds me of the song sweet sixteen by Hilary Duff.

I get a lot of citrus and jasmine and water lily. It doesn't really evolve for me. I want it to have more depth, a creamier sweeter base with some oomph. It is a lot nicer than the original Princess and I do wear this because I love citrus but it is not a favourite. It is something I would wear to the beach, not on a date.

Very basic sweet floral, not for me

Flower Princess by Vera Wang is a woody floral which does not suit me at all. I truly dislike this fragrance. On me, it smells like baby powder, moth balls, cheap soap, and overly-ripened oranges rotting beneath a tree. It is heavy and suffocating, like a humid garden overgrown with jasmine. This perfume smells old in the worst way possible. While I expected fresh waterlily and cold sparkling tangerine, something fresh and light, aqauatic, summery, and youthful, instead I was met with a hot stagnant pond covered with dying waterlilies, wilted white flowers, and sandlewood smoke. It smells like grandma's linen closet mixed with cheap rose air freshener, baby powder, and ivory soap bars. I was suprised that I did not like this fragrance, considering that the Original Princess by Vera Wang is one of my favorite scents and holds a special place in my heart. This fragrance, however, has disapointed me deeply.

When I first spray this it is sweet but sharp at the same time. When it settles I can smell peach or apricot which doesn't bother me. I wondered if it smelt like that for anyone else or just me? It is quite a plain drydown to a boring peach but I do like it. Everyone has commented on how sweet it is but I wondered if they noticed a peach dry down? It lasts pretty well on me I didn't think it was a waste of money but it will not fill the room people need to be close to you to notice it.

Nice sweet scent, a little bit woody and deep. Love the opening notes - citrus/vanilla/caramel. After 15 minutes it starts smelling like woods mixed with vanilla, coconut and jasmine :) Not overaly sweet, it is pleasant and quite warm scent for girls/women 17 - 30(?) years old. I would wear this in fall and winter.But I wouldn't buy it because of the bad lasting power (on my skin max. 3 hours). GREETINGS FROM THE CZECH REPUBLIC! :)

I had high hopes from this perfume. Or may be its just me. But this perfume smelt too plasticy and aldehydey to me. And was not lasting at all. It was gone completely in three hours. I somehow didnt smell anything but aldehyde from top and middle notes and then just got base notes (musk and amber only). Though I still smelt plastic like something even in base.
