Glam Princess

As an inveterate chypre and classic floral aldehydic lover, I did NOT expect to love this one as much as I do, but it's part of participating in the Great Scent Mystery when this inexplicably happens with a perfume... Glam Princess is a hard one for me to describe but reading other folks describe it as "airy" seems about right. I finally figured out it's a mix of a guava top note + lightly sweet powdery marshmallow + cashmeran (don't know how to describe this!) + pear + musk/ambrette, with a tiny honey note in the drydown, once it becomes a skin scent -- which, unfortunately, it does WAAAAYYY too fast. The sillage is gentle -- which is fine -- but the longevity is pretty bad on this one, I'm sad to say. But when I wear it with a base layer of iso e super (I bought it on Amazon), that does amp up the longevity, thankfully, and I can smell this gentle, airy beauty for maybe 5 hours -- acceptable longevity, in my book. So, at first blast in the beginning, it's sweet but not too sweet; the guava is juicy, fresh but tart, and I think I get a bit of pear underneath (I LOVE pear). I can't say I exactly smell marshmallows, but there is a slightly powdery, delicate sweetness that could be marshmallow. And then there's the lovely base of musk/ambrette -- a vegetal, rather than animalic, musk that you also get in Calvin Klein Beauty, another perfume that just makes me happy (but is much sweeter with all the jasmine that one has). At the very end, I get a lovely honey note, just as the scent trails off. It actually is kind of similar to Juicy Couture Hollywood Royal that I saw it compared to above, but I think Glam Princess is actually more interesting than that one. As you've gathered, I really love Glam Princess even though it's a pretty poor performer without the help of the iso e super. I find the original Princess just OK, so won't bother with a full bottle of that one, and I did try Flower Princess but found it way too sharp aquatic/cleanser-y for me. But Glam Princess, to me, is just perfect. <3

Vera Wang Glam Princess is a nice fragrance, I felt as if this one is a bit weightier, spicier, and muskier version of the original. Upon the first spritz I did experience the guava and pear with a mild hint of the red currant. I believe that I would have increased the ratio of red currant over that of the pear note to make this scent fractionally more uplifting. As it fades, I found a bit more of the original VW Princess pushing to the foreground. The heart notes are sweeter and a bit powdery (which I ordinarily don't like)--but for this fragrance it works. I could really pick up on the orchid in the heart as well. The basenotes are sweeter than the opening and the middle. Creamy, sugary, and slighty moist...like a marshmallow. Strangely enough, I did think this one would be sweeter and more gourmand than the orignal and other flankers because of the brightness of the bottle and ad campaign. It really isn't a bright fragrance. It's smoky, darker, and heavier even though it still exudes the sweetness of Princess. Actually, I believe this to be the first of the Princess line more suited to someone in her late 20s and beyond. There is something classic and classy about this one without giving up on the whimsy of womanhood. Overall, I really like it and will buy more. It's well done and more interesting than some of the other newly released fragrances out there. I rate it an 8 out of 10.

Glam Princess is my favorite princess. I sort of feel like she is the ignored and unappreciated princess. Probably because the general audience it was made for wasn't prepared for something almost unisex coming from a bottle labeled princess. This fragrance reminds me of a feminine dior homme intense (the formulation with ambrette seed). The opening is sparkly like and it almost gives off a champagne kind of vibe to me. I smell the pear and guava clearly. The middle with the honey and orchid explains right off the bat why I probably am in love with glam princess. That velvet candy like sweetness from orchid comes out to play and the sticky sweet honey with orange flower adds a nice sticky sweet floral heart pairing off that fruity almost bubbly kind of top fruit notes. Throughout the whole fragrance the cashmere note is quite strong with a bit of cedar, it creates a creamy softly spicy white smelling kind of wood. The Ambrette seed adds this wonderful sweet powdery musk smell that I love that can only really be described as ambrette seed smell because something that awesome really deserves it's own category. I feel like more people would like this walking up to the bottle expecting something woody and unisex. The blend isn't as smooth as I would have hoped it to be, but I do love it and crave it time to time. I'm on my second bottle.

I like this perfume. On my skin it projects very sweet and fruity. After a few hours it settles in the marshmellow scent. my boyfriend said 'it doesnt smell like vanilla. it smells like cream' lol also, it lasts quite a long time :) im pleased and got two bottles :) Edit: Ive had both perfume bottles since 2010, When I first tested it, i really loved it and everyone that was with me, (7 pple) loved it too. During the months and years I kept receiving more fragrances and I liked them more than this one. But now that I have 26 bottles Ive decided to not buy no more until I use them up. I decided to use them in the order in which ive gotten them, oldest to newest, and this one is the oldest I have. Now that Im using this scent every day and will continue until I finish both bottles I've come to appreciate it even more. It starts out with a pear and guava scent, very fruity. Then after an hour the fruity scent remains but there's a slight spice in it. Smells richer, deeper. In the drydown it turns to a creamy, marshmallow scent. Ive gotten compliments from many. This fragrance makes me feel girly, delicate, feminine. Im glad I decided to go back to this one again. <3

I feel like this is Princess' moody older sister; the top notes aren't scintillating, they seem dusty and mellow. It takes a couple hours for this girl to warm up and become sweet and outgoing. It's a soft opening, and I detect the guava and berries in the top notes. The middle is shy... the fruit of the opening morphs into the vanilla orchid (I suspect that's responsible for the dusty feel) and you think the meeting may be over. The scent grows, though, and climaxes in the dry-down! On me it's more about marshmallow than woody notes, though they are certainly anchoring everything. This radiates off the skin gently, yet I can still smell it easily six hours in. I am surprised by how much the notes in this differ from the notes in Princess! The overall effect of the middle notes and dry-down are so very similar. I love this as much as the original (which I wore for my wedding day); this version feels more all-season, appropriate for cozy fall and winter weather, too. I find the journey of this girl quite interesting! She is the introverted Princess, and every bit as lovely as her sister.

I really like this perfume. I got it as a tester a while back and fell in love. I have since bought the full size and wear it almost everyday. On me it is a light sweet scent and perfect for daytime wear. It's not too strong but not too weak either, it's just the right combo. It doesn't have much lasting power and does tend to wear off quicker than others, but it's not enough to make me stop wearing or buying this. It is one of my top everyday running around perfumes.

The bottle is original but different than the others because of the sparkles and yellow bottle. In the top note, I really smell the berries, guava and pear. In the middle notes, I'm not really smelling the African Orange Flower. I do smell the orchid. In the bas, the only things I am smelling is the Cashmere Wood and the marshmallows. I would say people under 25 would like this best. This scent kind of reminds me of a carnival. I'm not sure why. :)

Out of all the Princess flankers, Glam is the best one. No it doesn’t last long & it would probably work better layered with another scent. I love this scent so much that it is one of the very few times I have overlooked a perfume’s longevity. I will always have this one in my collection.

Im so excited that I finally finished my bottle of Glam Princess, so I can use happily my other fragrances and then I remember.. I still have another almost full bottle also waiting. lol oh well.. it shall wait a couple more years for it to be used up lol

I love this!! i bought it!!! it smells so good!!! i was looking for something light and sweet for the spring and summer. if you are looking for something like that this is for you. Cuz everything smells different on everyone!!

This was the first perfume I purchased from the Vera Wang princess line.. and still one of my favorites out of the lot. Stronger and stays on longer than most of the others... smells great.

Beautiful bottle, and the scent is gorgeous, fruity, sweet and musky.

Airy, floral, musky woods fresh. All non realistic in their actual scent, this one is pale, gentle, clean. There isn’t a whole lot to it, the dry down sweetens which I’m .. on the fence abuot, I have princess, the princess with silver neck and nozzle, the one with pink heart, a couple of the black bottled ones, the red one. Glam isn’t really this, this scent is a simple and pleasant freshie leaning airy and slightly aquatic - just nuances mind, not a full marine or aquatic. On fabric the guava, tart and water comes out more, I get more of the warm and fruity notes, on my skin I get none, and that’s fine. I get a slight bitter, a slight green but this still is light watery airy florals and gentle musk and gentle non woody woods. But no discerning notes, just a feel. Lasted last night abuot 4 hours, I have sprayed again this morning and seems the same, will edit if it lasts longer. Sillage is quiet. Probably suitable for a workplace or time when you just need to smell clean and pleasant.

OK, blind buy (based on the notes listed here) for $20 at marshalls (for the big bottle)... At first I was unimpressed- it smelled almost exactly like Soul Curve to my nose, which isn't necessarily bad... Too much fruity/floral/semi aquatic stuff happening- at first. BUT about an hour after applying. the sweeter, deeper notes show up. Warm vanilla and cashmere woods... with just a hint of sweet fruit- probably the pear. Sweet, slightly deep, comfy.Now that's what Im here for.... Keep in mind I live in FL, and its summer here, so it may smell totally different in cooler and drier weather... hoping those deep-ish notes show better then, but for now its pretty decent for a simple daily scent. Wouldn't rebuy, but am happy with 100ml for $20.

This was my 1st Vera Wang princess fragrance and I have to say when I first sprayed it I really didn't enjoy the scent. However, after the perfume lingered a bit it started to smell lovely!(Like another reviewer stated it smells mostly like a sweet pear and I absolutely love that type of fragrance in the spring and summer.) It reminds me of when I was in college and I wore Victoria Secret's Pear Glace body spray and lotion. LOL!) Never thought I would be wearing something similar to that again! Purchased a 1 fl oz at Ross for $24.95....Yeah! Not to mention that I love the little crown and the shape of the bottle. If you purchase this at a low cost that's great but I would not spend a lot of money for this fragrance.

Firstly, this perfume is marketed as a Floral Fruity Gourmand, which is misleading imo. Nothing edible about this, unless you enjoy eating flowers or wood! I generally have enjoyed the Princess line however this is a Jekyll/Hyde perfume. I was gifted this last Christmas and I'm really struggling to use it up. I do like it, but at the same time there's something about it that is not appealing. Maybe I am going crazy? Fruity/floral with an intense wood and musky drydown. Do not be fooled by the marshmallow or honey, they are very subtle. Lasing power is mehhh on my skin- about 1/2 hours. The true and original Princess still sits proudly on her throne at the top as my fav 'Princess' perfumes.

Soft fruity and woody. If you like this combination you will like this. At first spritz is slightly masculine, but it dries down into a very feminine scent that is not too sweet and has the right amount of woodiness. It is very nice, I love it. I can smell the guava, pear, some flowery note and the cashmere wood (I love cashmere wood). The only thing is that the women I work with said it smelled masculine at first (I agree), and when it dried down they could not even smell it anymore, lol. That's why I said it was soft, although they are all older than me: 47-65 years old, and they only like my very strong smelling perfumes (Amarige, Fairy Dust, etc.)

When first sprayed the musk mallow or cedar (not sure which) I don't like. It reminds me of patchouli or pencil shavings which I'm not fond of at all. But after about 2 or 3 minutes this dries down to a very pretty floral fragrance. I won't say that it hasn't been done before but it's not so horrible that I won't wear it. This is a fragrance for running errands or when you don't want to wear your best stuff out. If you are looking for unique this isn't it. I don't see me reaching for this one often but that's because I have other perfumes that I like to wear more.

Smells a lot like the original Princess, (maybe because they were both made by the same perfumers), but this one doesn’t have a great sillage or longevity. It only lasts about 1 to 2 hours on me, so I wear this one in the spring and summer and the original Princess in the fall and winter, but to me, the original is much better. The bottle looks better in pictures than it does in real life. They sprayed it with this weird shimmery gold spray paint that makes the bottle look almost dirty. But other than that I don’t regret buying this at least.

Despite its youthful appearance, which for me personally does not appeal to people over 20. it smells like perfumes for the mature audience. which I thought was due to notes of pepper. but apparently there is none in it. So maybe it's the ambrette? Fruity, light, summery, spring perfume but with a hint of something expensive. I think everyone can wear it. (if you are into fruity sweet scents) . A coincidence I got to smell this, because I got it for free in a collection of old perfumes. I like it and will wear it for casual everyday use.

This is my first Vera Wang for my collection. Blind buy from a supermarket!!!! I don't really like the initial first spray of this. It's dry, slightly annoys my sinuses. Luckily for me, it doesn't last long. However, after dry down, this settles to a lovely feminine aroma. It is not overwhelming, it sits nicely with you. It's not gourmand sweet, or honey sweet. It's sweetness is floral. Lasts most of the day. Suitable for summer - day or evening. And I love the bottle.

This is gorgeous. It’s so much more mature than I was expecting but that tropical vibe just lifts the whole thing to another level. The notes made me expect a more youthful fragrance but it’s actually classy as heck without losing its playfulness. What a surprise. I just love the Princess range - so versatile and the bottles are so pretty. What a nice addition to my collection. I just wish I could find Hippy Princess again!

This is less sweet compared to the original princess perfume of VW. It is also in my opinion a fragrance that suits most age groups and is a versatile scent from day to night time. I find this 1 is a bit more mellowed out by the woodsy notes so if you like very sweet scents then VW's princess perfume is recommended, however if princess it appears too girly and young for you, then opt for the glam princess.

Smells great when first applied, it's just a subtle sweet floral, great for day wear, very inoffensive to others. I don't know if it is the heat of our Summer here in Australia but it burns away to nothing within an hour and needs to be reapplied. Lasts longer if you moisturise your skin first or spray your clothes. I really like the feminine smell just wish it would last longer.

This was my signature fragrance for many months. It always smelled sweet and warm on my skin, never masculine at all, really loved it. Initially when you spray it it smells strong but after it settles it smells very fruity and warm. Prefer Glam Princess over Princess, which is a more powdery, sweet, floral scent.

I agree with the last reviewer - the opening of this is very fresh and citrusy, not sweet. I can smell guava, red currant and pear on my skin and a hint of cashmere in the drydown. I am a bit dissapointed, because I can't smell the marshmallow, but overall Glam princess is a lovely summery scent.

It’s nice, but I returned it. Safe, crowd pleasing Burlington blind buy but anything but unique. Clean, breezy, fresh but flat and bland. Was hoping for a rich honey drizzled gourmand but that isn’t what I got. Where is that honey?

YUMMY FRESH FRUIT! The pear stands out upon the first spray! The dry down is still quite fruity but I can also detect the orchid and cashmere wood after a short while. Sillage and lasting power could be better.

This has to be my favorite from this line. I get the tangy sweet honey note upon first spray, it can easily be a day to day fragrance without annoying anybody. Great for fall/winter.

It's nice, but it's nothing special. I actually love the bottle, it's childish, but it reminds me of something I would have LOVED as a little girl.. i wouldn't buy this again.

OK, I tested it today again and I really got the marshmallow note! It's very lovely summer scemt for party with good sillage and longevity. I want a bottle of this.

The base us a bit flat. Pleasant but meh. Top end is clean airy, then a pale versionof something like the original princess. 3 hours lasting

Musky, wood, floral fresh, bitter, clean, airy. Well seewhat longevity like. Skintest, three spraysto elbow, winter weather.

A pleasant every day scent. Fruity, fresh, inoffensive.

This is super mature for such a youthful and girly bottle. Smells like a vintage perfume as in its very obviously a perfume. Not at all gourmand, not as sweet as the notes would suggest but the sweet notes mixed with the very woody vibe is cloying and headache inducing for me. It honestly smells like Versace Dylan Turquoise though, so it’s a great budget alternative to that one if you’re into Turquoise!

All I smell is pear and florals. If that marshmallow was more prominent, this might be alright. I'm in my late thirties, but this smells much more mature than even my age. The original princess is my favorite out of the three I own (princess, rock princess, glam princess).

I bought this fragrance yesterday :3 I read the notes and thought I had found my dream perfume, but I was a little hesitant because of the mixed reviews :/ I saw it on sale so I decided to blind buy it. Don’t be misled by the girly notes listed; the honey, marshmallow, musk, redcurrant. There is definitely more emphasis on the woody notes. I can smell a dash of honey in the dry-down, but this perfume is spicier than I would’ve thought :( I can’t really smell the fruits on me, just plain woods, honey and a little marshmallow. I can imagine the floral scents being mixed in there too. Though the notes all sound like ones I’d enjoy, I guess they just can’t all go together. It’s very woody, musky, powdery, more ‘mellow’ than I’d like :P It smells a bit like the original Princess, I’m pretty sure I prefer that one over the Glam though. It is a nice perfume, and I can see others liking it, but I don’t feel feminine when I wear it. Less woods and more fruits and I’d be much more fond of it ^^ I wasn’t expecting something like this from the cute bottle c: Yes, I find it a little masculine as other reviewers do, but it’s not too bad :) Don’t think I’ll be wearing this one much. As for sillage, it sits close to the skin. To do this review I’m constantly smelling my wrist xD I’d say the longevity is weak to moderate as this is a softer scent. Bit disappointed with this one, but if you like woody perfumes that aren’t too sweet then you may like Glam Princess :3 If you are looking for something yummy and girly, you might need to pass on this one, although the notes sound perfect :/ Hope this helps :] EDIT: I tried to wear this again but all I can smell is woods with a dash of honey. I don't like it at all :/ It doesn't make me feel pretty, maybe a pretty tree trunk, but yeah I won't be wearing this :(

I wanted to like this so much. I love the Princess line, but none are as lovely to me as the original. To my nose, Glam Princess is just a sharp, musky, almost sour smell with guava. And I hate guava. Not detecting any florals or freshness at all. It's unfortunate... I'm really struggling to use up my bottle. Perhaps it'll just be an air freshener. This is a little more tolerable in the evening with lighter application— 3-4 sprays (it'll last longer with 4-6 sprays though). Drydown is okay. It isn't sharp and is slightly sweet and woody. Not memorable or special. Longevity and Sillage are also disappointing. So far my least favourite of the Princess line :( It does do what the name says, however. It is for the more "Glamorous" girl. I can see people wearing it to evening events, such as a banquet, wedding reception, or even Prom/Homecoming. Nothing to hate about this fragrance except longevity and sillage (which does vary by each person). It's just not for me.

A boring musky floral with no longevity or sillage. I dont think any Vera Wang perfume I ever had lasted more than 3 hours. I only buy the original Princess because its good for a relaxing, cozy scent. You cant actually wear any of Veras perfumes out since they just dont last. I dont get any marshmallow or sweetness to this at all. For the 2 hours it actually lasts I find myself very boared with the scent. At this price point there are better done musky florals. Paris Hiltons Siren & Jessica Simpsons Vintage bloom being 2 off of the top of my head that at least are interesting when you get a whiff & they last longer. I def wont rebuy this & I doubt Ill will even be able to finish the bottle its just so blah.

just bought this one on a whim. I have never tried the original, and thought, while browsing, why not give it a try? My usual go-to fragrances are typically Borneo 1834, and Un Bois Vanille, so I figured why not try something a bit out of my comfort zone. When I got it home and gave it a test run, I was quite pleased. Overall, I feel that this is definitely something for a younger audience, the tween-early 20's. But nonetheless, for something fun and a little different (for me at least) this will be at the top of my list for a warm summer day/evening. later that week: having worn it for a few days now, i can't stand it personally. it's not a bad fragrance, it just doesn't suit me in the slightest.

This is like a rank version of the original Princess. I HAD high hopes for this- I honestly thought it would be lovely, but it's just weird to me,and slightly rotting. It smells a bit fresh, fruity and sweet, and bright, with undertones that are super similar to the original Princess, but everything just comes off a bit rotten. I love guava as a flavour, so I'm not convinced it's only the guavas fault- maybe the way the sweet marshmallow and honey mix with it. It's a fermenting kind of rotten- like kombucha. I think this would be a great tasting kombucha but a fragrance? No.

I tested this in a store the other day. I loved it, thought it so similar to Miss dior cherie eau de pritemps (2007) it was on sale 50% off and I decided to buy it. I browsed a further 5 minutes and at the counter I smelled my wrist again... GONE!! a whiff of vanilla marshmallow was all that remained of this scent. I immediately cancelled the sale. The cashier agreed that this was a poor quality fragrance. Just to make myself happy I wore My Dior the next day. Im really glad I didnt waste my money.

Oh Glam Princess.... I agree with several reviews here that note-wise, this should be right up my alley. I adore guava notes as well as pear, and thought as a blind buy, this would be ok. I get no fruity notes from this, nor sweetness. I smell a lot of woods, but not a lot else. I would say this is a woody/earthy perfume. The packaging is lovely, though!

Very sharpe, very tropical, I only smell the guava on me. It’s giving me high end scent, especially when I layer it with another vanilla based scent. Not sure if I’ll keep this one or pass along. Definitely worth the price just to try it- FragranceNet had this for a really cheap price. The bottle is gorgeous, might just keep it for the aesthetic.

The only thing I'll keep from this one is the crown-shaped cap and I will use it as a ring for my little finger. Joking aside, I had high expectations from it like many of you I see cause the notes are delicious but I'm quite disappointed because I don't smell anything nice or pleasant, I prefer the original but won't buy that neither.

I bought this blindly since I loved the original Princess perfume and this one was on sale. Sadly, this is EXTREMELY strong and for me. Too flowery. It's so overpowering that it's almost nauseating. I love perfumes, so that experience was a first for me. I tried this a couple times, but it just sits on my shelf to this day...

Sweet and youthful. It smells just like candy. The top notes smell great but as it settles it starts to really remind of a another newly released perfume. Circus Fantasy! Knew it reminded me of something. LOL! May have actually been interested in this if the basenotes had more of an edge but as it stands I think I'll pass.

not for me. it smells a bit like beer? i found i didnt feel like i was pretty in this scent. its really meant for a tom boy or someone who is into light un sweetened scents. feeling beautiful or strong is the best feelings i get from my perfumes. this one does not give me any of those feelings.

I kind of liked it at first but it ends up smelling a bit old lady-ish. when i wear this perfume my husband says i smell like my mother :-| needless to say i don't wear it anymore.

Very musky it’s kind of disgusting? And woody. It’s not as fruity sweet as it says. Maybe I have an older bottle Maybe I haven’t tried it enough but not my cup of tea
