Look

This is not a review but a kind request to all the members of the site, for help. Look by Vera Wang and Dawn by Sarah Jessica Parker have been my favourite perfumes so far but I can not find them any more as they have been discontinued. I guess they have/share a common note that belongs to the green family/group (green notes for Look-violet leaf for Dawn) that gives to the perfume respectively a fresh, uplifting vibe. I have been looking in the Greek market for something similar or close enough for a long time now, but with no luck. I have read here on Fragrantica about 2 brands (Philosophy and Clean respectively) that produce this kind of perfumes (plain, clean, fresh, green type) but they do not exist in the Greek market. I read a few reviews from both brands but I have not come into a conclusion. I would like eventually to dare and buy one perfume from one brand or the other (blind order, I can not do differently) but I would really appreciate any member who knows the perfumes very well to tell me his/her opinion about them. For example if they have similarities or not, if at least one is better than the other in terms of quality, duration and value for money or they are tied. I know when it comes to perfumes, it is a very subjective matter but certainly some members that they can find these brands in their countries and can try them first hand, can tell the difference if any and suggest me something. The most elegant perfume of Vera Wang. It is a very nice perfume, easy to wear, fresh but sophisticate at the same time. It is the third time that, I add it to my collection and I have not regret it. It is very fresh, uplifting and cheerful. As far as its duration, is enormous. At least 8 hours...Excellent... I wore it, yesterday in the office and my colleague commented about it (what a nice perfume etc......) and gave me compliments, at the end of the day..... As far as I can tell, it is one of the perfumes that every time I wear it, I get many compliments from the people around me. I think it is a very nice perfume, very well done that can be used/worn all the months of the year and smell wonderful. Although I hardly stick in one fragrance only (I like to change them with the first opportunity and try new ones...), I will certainly repurchase it, when my current bottle will be empty, too....I highly recommend it, it's worthy.... P.S: I had the chance to try 4 other perfumes by Vera Wang that I could find in Greece (lovestruck, princess, glam, preppy) but none of them, changed my mind about Look.....

Dear friends of Fragrantica, this is not a review but a kind request to most of you and especially to those who live in EU/ UK. I am a great fan of Vera Wang's perfumes but unfortunately I can not find them in Greece any more (she withdrew from the Greek market). Therefore I would like to kindly ask in which countries and stores ( for example at Sephora in France? at Boots in UK? ) I can still find Wang's perfumes, to bear it in mind. Generally speaking, I would like to kindly ask (in order to have a clear picture in my mind) if in other countries of EU, someone can find the majority of V. Wang's perfumes in local retailers or she has totally withdrawn from the European market in general....To be honest with you, I have lost hope from the internet, because the last 2 times that I found some sites that, theoritically carried Wang's perfumes they were all knockoffs. LONG LASTING I like it! Update: I love this site! lol I listen to what you guys and ladies say and you all have been a really big help thanx! ;D Anyway, I just wanted to say....... This fragrance is also excellent for spring and summer and it gets sooo flirty as it dries down. I smell the mandarin, lily and patchouli the most and for some reason I'm smelling grapefruit, I love the smell of grapefruit in a fragrance sometimes! It makes it so playful feeling after it dries down, it makes it kind of sexy too! This can be worn during the day or night and I like the way it makes my clothes smell. It may not be for everyone but try be for you buy, let it dry down completely and after it wears off you just might like it. When I decide to wear this sometimes, I'm always told, everytime, I smell really good Great for 25+ :D

Looking at the list of notes I really shouldn't like this. There is fruit, Musk, jasmine.. Stuff that many people like but I have found can be a bit harsh on me. However, I do. And have done since I first sniffed it almost five years ago. I got a sample vile of this with a magasine and became obsessed! I couldn't afford a whole bottle but scowered the internet for more samples. I even wore it to my wedding (and yes, I had the VW dress as well, that's why I couldn't afford the scent. ;) I found this at a bargain price a few weeks ago and I still love it! It is so fresh, powdery, soapy and nice. I don't get any vanilla, just flowery, green musc. I love lilys and I think that could be one of the reasons I like it so. It is heads down one of the prettiest lily-scents I have smelled. Love it.
