Princess

Princess by Vera Wang is a true fairytale fragrance. Creamy, feminine, soft, and innocent. I imagine this scent on a ballerina, on Aurora or Odette, or on Juliet Capulet. It is the perfect fragrance for Juliet from the 2013 Romeo and Juliet movie. To me, this fragrance goes perfectly with the atmosphere of the film; castles and candlelight, beauty and tragedy, the rush of new love, rose petals, climbing vines, youth and hopefulness, warmth and tenderness. This is the perfect perfume for fallng in love. A captivating collection of vanilla ribbons and orange, of waterlilies and rain. The note which truly stands out to me is a lovely hot chocolate note; warm, creamy, and inviting. It has a beauty and magic all its own. There is also an aquatic element to this fragrance which only adds to its beauty, like starlight on a lake. It is captivating and magical. I am simply enchanted by this perfume. It smells so beautiful on me, so soft and ethereal that it almost seems unreal, like a dream or a fantasy. My husband loves it too. It is his absolute favorite perfume of mine. So delicate and romantic, enchanting and ethereal. The name suits the fragrance perfectly; this fragrance evokes an imagine of a perfect princess, a feminine ideal of grace and poise, with delicate features and creamy white skin, with elegant fingers, and long cascading locks of hair. It is everything I aspire to be; soft, graceful, feminine, classical, romantic, elegant. It is forever my signature scent. It smells like Valentine's day, like a luxurious box of chocolates wrapped with a shiny red bow, like bouquets of delicate white flowers, like love letters covered with kisses, like whispered confessions of love.

Floral, whispers of fruit, amber with vanilla and chocolate that give it that rounded sweetness as opposed to the toothache sweet so many perfumes dubbed "young" have. For me, it wears down to a chocolatey warm sweetness that lasts. During the fall and winter months, I've noticed it keeps in my hair(between wash days) and coats for days! I'm one of the many that has emotional ties to Princess by Vera Wang and have worn this scent since I was 20 (ten+ years). I wore this throughout my husband and I dating; this was my wedding day perfume and morbidly what I want to wear to my funeral. I was a serial VS perfume wearer and when I outgrew VS (they discontinued everything I tried to make a signature scent) and through every new favorite since, Princess has always remained a front runner for me. To many, this might be a "common/teen/nothing special" scent, but for those of us that wore it while finding ourselves, meeting our significant others or for other monumental/special occasions; it will always be a signature and have a front row spot on the perfume tray.

I wore this, Coco Mademoiselle and Flowerbomb for YEARS. Super basic girly girl fragrances. This one, while it is “youthful”, it still has complexity. The notes shine while also being cohesive and beautifully blended. I think this would still be a perfect first perfume for any young woman, however, I still wore this well into my 30’s! To me, the apricot and vanilla are really the stars of the show here. I have another chocolate and apricot perfume with Dulce Diablo and that is a much more grown up take on those notes. The chocolate is so smooth and not reminiscent of cocoa powder like it is in most chocolate fragrances. There is a powdery quality to it, that makes it feel youthful for me, not sure where it’s coming from but as a person who dislikes powdery scents, it never stopped me from loving this one. I love my Chanel fragrances, I love my Roja perfumes, PDM, Initio, Ex Nihilo, I have a huge collection now, but I also love a good fruity, girly sweet fragrance and this one will always be a classic for me.

Princess opens up with watery guava and chocolate on my skin! I never quite get the woody base or intense fruit.. Its a soft and sweet scent that leans aquatic~ It can be slightly green as it starts to dry, maybe from the tuberose? But it isn't exactly floral.. When its totally dry, its a smooth milky chocolate ♡ While its a simple scent, its very fun and girly! Its very 2000s but not a scent I owned at the time.. For me, it evokes polka dot prints and plastic tiaras (ala 2007 ageha)~ A little kitsch, a playful and modern princess ^^/ It might not be the most "me" scent in my collection, but its one I love to reach for! I love airy and aquatic scents, and fruity gourmands, so it was an instant hit with me~ I like wearing it on rainy days the most, but its easy to wear year round~

To my nose and I have an extensive collection. This doesn’t smell cheap at all but maybe it’s all that nostalgia talking... lol. Seriously though I do love this fragrance someone bought it for me as a high school graduation gift when I was younger and I think I’ve loved it ever since. It’s simple but very potent and beautiful it works very well with my chemistry and literally lasts all day on me which is amazing for an EDT! On me this pulls very guava, chocolate, Lilly, vanilla which makes for a delicious and yummy scent. There is something innocent and mature about it at the same time. Love to use it out of the shower with my vanilla lotion. I get a lot of compliments on this too. It’s sweet without being cloying and fresh without being citrusy. Love this forever!

I wouldn't consider this to be a white floral, at all. It has white flowers IN it, but it's so much more. I'm surprised there aren't any violets or iris in it because it is powdery. It's sweet with the vanilla, and has sparkly fruit notes with the apricots and guava-I definitely smell the guava. With the amber base, the scent manages to have a more rounded, full scent profile which creates depth. Overall, it's a feminine, youthful, pretty fragrance and very appropriate for women under 30, however, I still have a bottle and reach for it from time to time. It carries nostalgia like Viva La Juicy does, but this is not a basic fruity, floral scent and has more complexity to it. I could see this being made by a fragrance house like Guerlain.

The first time I saw this perfume online, I felt instantly drawn to it. The bottle was adorable... just too cute! In 2006, I had just finished university and started working. I was beginning to get into perfumes and dreamed of owning this one, but sadly, it wasn’t available where I lived. Every year, I would see the little bottle on social media and whisper to myself... one day, I will have it. Fast forward to 2025, and I finally got my Princess perfume. Thank you so much to my sister-in-law who got it from the UK. Just as I imagined all these years, this perfume feels like it was made for me. I instantly fell in love with its sweet chocalatey and white floral scent.The cute bottle looks perfect on my vanity table... so precious!!

This is a great option if you’re just getting into perfumes. Very versatile, inoffensive and easy to wear. It’s slightly more on the gourmand side but the drydown is very fresh and floral, almost powdery. The orange and guava notes stand out the most to me. The chocolate notes were not noticeable at first but they came out eventually. This is a great everyday scent and very feminine, but not too juvenile despite the name. The overall performance is relatively good and it’s very affordable. I found a full size bottle at TJMaxx for around $30. Composition: 8.5/10 Sillage: 7/10 (projects decently without being obnoxious, doesn’t become a skin scent until around 5hrs) Longevity: 7/10 (around 6 hrs)

I own over 50 bottles of perfume, many of them niche or high end, and yet my 100ml bottle of Princess is already half empty. That says something. She's sweet, but not cloying, thanks to a generous underpinning of aquatic notes. Be warned though, the chocolate might not come through on you. It definitely doesn't on me. Instead, I get pleasant, but generic honeydew-and-vanilla kind of sweetness. Princess lasts through the office day, has reasonable projection, but won't choke anyone coming in for a hug. If I had fewer frags, I'd definitely repurchase. I think Princess is a classic "quality white T-shirt" kind of scent. Very versatile, which some might read as "boring", but I don't mind.

💲 I continually repurchase this; Every time I run out of Vera Wang Princess, I restock on it at Ross, where they usually have the full size for about $24-27. 👃 This has been my signature scent for years; I just love smelling like a soft, fluffy, chocolate-dipped marshmallow. Upon initial spray, the scent can come across as a strong, very generic perfume-counter fragrance, but this will dissipate within a few minutes. What you will be left with at dry down is a light creamy scent that is just sweet enough without becoming cloying. There is a touch of powderiness but in a clean airy, way, not like baby butt talc.

This is a very elegant, soft, feminine, and beautiful scent. It smells like what you would imagine a princess would smell like if you were younger. My mother used to wear this in 2006 and gave it to me when I was a teenager. It makes me very nostalgic. I even have an extra bottle sealed in the box for when it runs out. I'm in my 20s now and I wear it occasionally when I'm out somewhere nice for a dinner or anniversary. My only critique is, I don't smell any chocolate as advertised at all. I didn't even know it had a chocolate note before I looked on here.

I bought my bottle in 2020, and time has developed this scent into something even more rich and beautiful than it was before. The vanilla and chocolate are more pronounced, the tiare and waterlily have more backbone, and the fruits are more present, the amber is always humming in the background but louder now, which I LOVE. The longevity and sillage have improved, though still nothing to write home about. I'm half way through this bottle now, and tempted to buy another to let sit while I finish this up.

Vey safe perfume if you're looking for a perfume for a girl in your life. Smells fruity and sweet yet refreshing, and the vanilla/chocolate scents aren't overpowering. It may be a safer blind buy but it's still a very unique scent. Very versatile but it feels more like a winter/spring scent, I would recommend for younger girls, maybe teens and tweens. But in general, very good perfume, smells amazing. Overall rating: 9/10 (took off a point because sadly its not as strong as i'd like it to be.)

This was the first perfume I bought myself in my early 20's. Recently found the last remains stashed away and tried it out again for fun. I'm not sure if I ever paid attention to it before & hid it in the back of my mind- but my God. The guava and dark chocolate notes are amazing. Was drawing when I caught a wiff and couldn't believe I never noticed. I'm in my early 30's and will definitely buy another bottle (* ́ ▽ ` *)

This is what millennials (teenagers in the 2000s) were obsessed with. There is nothing special about the scent, but it was the IT scent back then and I’m not mad at it because it’s so nostalgic 🥹. This is a soft sweet floral, there is barely any fruitness to it. Longevity and projection is not ever at all but the bottle is everything. It’s the type of fragrance you would wear at the gym or for fast errands.

Vera Wang Princess was a blind buy during a rough time, and wow—what a perfect choice. It’s feminine, delicate, and beautifully balanced between musky, woodsy, floral, and slightly fruity notes. I can totally see this being a bridal favorite—it’s soft, romantic, and effortlessly elegant. I don’t pick up the chocolate or vanilla, but the fruity undertones make it feel fresh and timeless. Love, love, love!

I didn't even like this one at first but later when i sprayed on my wrist i changed my mind . Smells the same way as something magical. The key for that smell are those aquatic notes ,the vanilla and chocolate all together. Literally feels like a magic potion from the fairytales. Such a soft one , with surprising long longevity for EDT ( for me). So mad i have like 2 ml left.

This was one of my go-to’s along with DKNY Be Delicious back in 2006-2008. Takes me back to staying up all night, listening to the newest Muse album on repeat on my Walkman CD player. Now it’s one of my favorite bedtime scents. Longevity is impressive for an EDT. I mainly get the chocolate, vanilla and a non-descript floral. So relaxing and dreamy. Enjoy this 2000s gem!

love this! gourmand and fruity at the same time. the longevity is meh, on skin it evaporates very quick. the initial smell when just sprayed is musky? musky/mature in the way that chanel no. 5 is musky and mature, but the dry down is much nicer and less offensive, but still very sophisticated. i wish it lasted a bit longer but aside from that its one of my go to scents

I bought this back over the summer and was absolutely not impressed with it. However, I’m revisiting it today in 30° weather and it is stunning! I wouldn’t have thought this perfume would be a good one for a cold weather, but I am pleasantly surprised! Perhaps, it is because I let it sit for a few months but either way, I am loving it! Highly recommend!

This was a blind buy based on notes and low price, I have rock princess (gifted) which I dislike as very powdery. I adore this scent. Perfect balance of fruity and floral but with the deliciously edible vanilla. I sprayed this on then unintentionally crashed out and slept 9 hours and when I woke up I could still smell lovely fruity vanilla.

Pretty generic but I love it. It really does give the vibe of princess, I smell the sweetness of a disney princess, and yet it also gives an air of high royalty, professionalism. Apple and wood is what I can detect easily. I can't sense a chocolate note but I'm no expert. It's a go to for everyday, but I can see how it won't be for everyone

My dad gifted this to me for Christmas and I love it! I don't get any gourmand or fruity notes in this though. Just because I only smell flowers doesn't mean it ain't good though, because it's such an addictive scent. It smells like a bouquet of colorful flowers someone would get for valentines day or something, but I love the vibe.

If I could use one word to describe this fragrance, it would be: whimsy. This is fun, flirty, girly; my idea of a spoiled rich teen, or one of the emotionally stunted women from the movie Saltburn. If I decide to drink from a flask, wear a leather jacket and a tutu as a middle aged lady, this is my signature fragrance.

I feel kinda silly to wear a purple perfume in a heart shaped bottle with a rhinestone wearable ring named Princess in my late fourties', but I don’t care. It’s this pretty, and it makes me feel like Im an 8 year old girl wearing fairy costume at the birthday party :) Instant time travel!

This was many girls signature of there 20s include myself:) soft fruity soft sweet which was quite unique in that time, guava and peach combination is so cute, still miss that scent but wont wear it agian since I become 35yrs old so I can say its vera wang young princess!

Although I don't wear this one as a perfume anymore, I never get tired of this gorgeous scent and keep coming back to it. 10 years ago as a teen I loved it and still today the fruity-chocolate makes me so happy. I now use to spray around my house and I love it.

such a nostalgic perfume for me as my sister first got it for me on my 13th bday and it was my signature scent up until i was 15 🤍 not my signature scent anymore but i still spray it time to time .. love it smells so nice, lowkey like good trauma in a bottle

This is my signature scent. It gets compliments all of the time. It's such a soft sweet smelling perfume. Not offensive, and very versatile. I wear this all year round for any occasion. You can't fault the price point, under $50 for 100ml. Love it. 10/10

This is such a beautiful light powdery floral fragrance. It's an easy to grab everyday fragrance suitable for all seasons. I just wish it lasted longer and projected more like in earlier batches when it first came out. Quiet an ethereal fragrance.

This was my signature in my 20's! It's a good scent, with a diverse note profile. I got a lot of compliments off princess! I agree with the commenter who said "before there was a good girl, there was a princess" -priceless and well stated. 😉

Just for anyone wondering: I have an ex that would wear this and I absolutely loved smelling this on her. Plus later on in the day, I would be able to catch it coming off my shirt and it would make me melt.

Nothing to do with the description notes! No chocolate, no vanilla, not sweet, not fresh, just a mixture of synthetic chemicals. Not at all what I expected. Indeed Vera Wang fragrances are cheap and boring.

this smells pretty! sweet, but not cloying and i do get the chocolate and guava which go nicely. it also lasts surprisingly long for how cheap it was. very nice addition to any collection

I love her and she will always be in my collection. I discovered her very late though (about 5 years ago) Floral, sweet and musky. There’s something about this that I find comforting.

Starts out as a musky floral and transforms into a sweet bubblegum. It’s rare I like a floral scent. It’s feminine and sophisticated, while still being young and fun.

This smells just like Charmin Bath Tissue. Just BEAUTIFUL!!!! I have always worn this throughout the years and NEVER tire of this Baby Bath Scent.

Sweet but without being overpowering. Good for subtle and drydown smells like vanilla and musk.

I was expecting something heavier & aggressively syrupy sweeter due to the combination of chocolate, vanilla and amber. However the standout notes of the fragrance are a freshly sweet mild combination of vanilla-infused apple, mandarin and apricot on me, with a powdered white floral heart. For the floral notes; I can separate orange blossom, waterlily & tuberose most clearly and this combination stops the fragrance from being sickly sweet & seeming too 'young'. The waterlily & tuberose are more distinct than I remembered them being, but the guava develops around the same time and helps boost the existing fruits slighty above the floral bouquet at every stage of the fragrance. There isn't much difference between the heart and the base; but you know you're reaching the final stretch as a creamy sandalwood & ambery musk develops, plus slight hint of dark chocolate and something that brings patchouli to mind, adds a tiny bit more depth to the fragrance as it dries down. I always remembered my first couple of bottles of Princess as being slightly nutty, as well as having having barely existing florals - however I now don't pick up on anything nutty and whilst the floral notes aren't as loud as the fruits, sweet and woody notes, a couple of them are pretty distinct. Formula changes, or mixed memories? Overall I still find Princess to be a pleasant, all occasions, all year round scent that's only let down a bit by its poor staying power [around 5 hours on average] - but as the concentration is a edt, I'm not really surprised. Since you can easily find the 100ml bottles of Princess below £25 in outlet stores & online, I find the performance reasonable enough. I think that it's perfectly fine for adults to wear Princess both as casual wear and for more conservative places like work, as it's not something too 'young' and it is mild enough not to irritate scent-sensitive people around you.

This is a pampered princess. She sleeps on a four poster canopy bed covered in plush pillows and layers of tulle. She’s pretty; not in the regal / timeless way the way her mom the queen is but with an effortless beauty of someone young who is always fresh faced with perfect skin and pink cheeks (and doesn’t wear makeup). Her favorite color is pink and she has a weakness for fruit, candy, and anything sweet. But she’s not spoiled or mean. She’s actually pretty down to earth and even though you’d usually be jealous you can’t even hate her because she’s actually really sweet. Underneath all that sweetness is something a little earthy and soft, like she spent time outside in the garden and got dirt on her slippers. It’s a little unexpected for a princess but it also makes her more endearing. My experience wearing it was just as interesting as the impression I got of what type of girl this princess perfume would be if she were a person! On my skin, Princess's opening is very sweet and bright. It’s powdery, pink, and girly, and reminds me of bubble baths and bubblegum. As it dries down I get something more doughy, almost like sweet Play-Doh?? I don’t know what I’m smelling but I don’t hate it. On my shirt, it's completely different. It’s super sweet and it feels brighter, fruitier, and fluffier. I think my skin chemistry pulls out the earthier side of the fragrance?? I’ve never experienced something smelling so different on me versus what I’m wearing! I like the effect though, its pleasant and fun to wear. And also the bottle is adorable.

This one's interesting. I really like the opening, it's very vaguely sweet but it has this "womanly" feeling at first sniff. It's mature, definitely not a gourmand at first spray. My nose isn't strong enough to detect where the sweetness is coming from, but when it fully dries down into that chocolate note it's pure bliss. Such a sweet yet not childish scent, but I wouldn't characterize this perfume as being "old lady". Kind of reminds me of what my cool, pretty older cousins smelled like when I was a child. I really enjoy perfumes with chocolate notes and this one just feels so much more complex than the cheaper one's I've bought. Once it settles past the chocolate, it gets straight into the fresh note which is a little jarring but not un-welcomed. Does it smell like a princess? I don't know what a princess should smell like, but I feel like one when I wear it. Also this perfume is described as an "oriental floral" fragrance and I originally thought it leaned more into the middle eastern portion, which is more familiar to me. After some googling it seems like it's more East Asian. Kind of reminds me of a more western and complex take on cheaper arab perfumes I buy from local markets.

At first I didn’t like princess but the more I wore it the more it grew me. I want to curate a small selection of cozy perfumes for the fall winter sadly a lot of gourmand fragrances give me headaches and make me nauseous even when they smell pleasant. I’ve been looking for soft slightly sweet fragrances. The start of this fragrance is a little strong smelling a lot like baby wipes then it warms up to be a sweet musky chocolate vanilla perfume. It’s quite cozy and warm but I’d suggest trying a sample first as it’s not be for everyone. It lasts me about 9-10 hours but everyone’s skin is different. The opening reminds me of the baby wipe smell in code by Giorgio Armani minus the citrusy smell and when it sets into the skin it reminds me of skin reserve but chocolaty! UPDATE! Smells amazing on skin but leaves a plasticky mature smell on clothing unfortunately. sadly most likely not going to purchase the full bottle because of that.

I tried this properly for the first time today. Its a lovely fragrance, so I 100% get the popularity through all the years. Beautiful florals- which are white flowers, kind I like, where it's not too Rosey, or too "bouquet of flowers". And fresh fruits too, rather than juicy dessert fruits, are mixed really well too. This is also the first fragrance I can detect dark chocolate in! Despite this being seen as (and marketed as) a young perfume, I could see it being for basically any age. It's very soft and doesn't make much of a statement so it's pretty safe too. Edit: this sounds insane but I created a stronger version of this by layering Rock Princess (2023) and Burberry Brit EDT. Everything in Princess is kicked up a notch with this combo. After testing Princess again to confirm this, I see no need to ever buy it as its like I've created the stronger longer lasting "EDP version" loool.

I had it years ago, when I was first released, I bought an used bottle to finish off and I wasn’t a fan, I was even worried, that maybe it was fake or gone off. Fast forward to now, they sell often to £20 for a big bottle and I grabbed one. The bottle is so beautiful, probably one of the nicest out there. The original bottle I had must have been original because this smell the same and it also causes me headaches... When it arrived I sprayed myself like i would normally, a few sprays and I felt nauseous. I kinda can wear it if I only use two sprays. On me, this is a floral fragrance, I don’t find it to be a gourmand. It’s sweet smelling but so heavy on flowers. I kept it, i wear it sometimes, i guess I am trying to get myself to like it, or at least to get used to and not develop a headache from it. It’s kinda clean girl type of fragrance, it’s nice really...

I had given my bottle to my sister a couple years ago and decided to revisit it today, and I’m surprised how much I like it. Yes, it is vanilla powdery and chocolatey, but the water lily and apple are also quite prominent, making it smell clean and fresh too. I might have to get another small bottle. This is definitely a “clean girl” scent, but with a slight gourmand twist. I think this is great for a starter fragrance — extremely likable and inoffensive. I could see it making a comeback if the marketing was right. Also, here are the OFFICIAL notes from Vera Wang... a little bit different, maybe it was recently reformulated?
