Rock Princess

I've had this for years, and this one seems to be REALLY different for everyone based on all the reviews. On my skin, I don't get any of the spices/spiciness others seem to. I get this creamy, powdery, exotic coconut from start to finish! I definitely pick up on the iris and jasmine, from start to finish. I think both lend a certain powderiness to this,but not in a baby powder kind of way. But the coconut is definitely the most noticeable note in this (on my skin) this is creamy, powdery and unique. I definitely get the cashmere as well, which gives it a sort of coziness. I get little to no fruit in this, it's very mild. It lends a tiny bit of sweetness/juiciness, but again, it's very mild. This is unique, exotic, and different. I don't own anything that smells like this. To me, this is a fun,sultry and sexy. It's sexy in a clean/coconut type of way. This is gorgeous in EVERY season apart from winter. It's absolutely incredible in the summer time! This isn't juvenile, or too mature in my opinion also, It's not synthetic,or overwhelmed with alcohol. The staying power is above average in my opinion, especially if you have hydrated skin, and if you spray it on clothing. This could absolutely be a signature/everyday scent. It's really, really lovley. I feel this fragrance is underappreciated and very underated.

I guess Vera Wang Rock Princess is a 'love it' or 'hate it' type of concoction. I happen to love it. It begins on a semi-sweet note of juicy peach with a hint of raspberry with the bergamont making only a momentary appearance. This is a plus for me as I feel that bergamont is waaayyy over-used in most fragrances and sometimes lends a 'cold' or 'harsh' tone to a lot of fragrances. It's not sugary sweet like Princess and it's warmer than Flower Princess. The heliotrope and lily round out Rock Princess in the heart notes while the peach lingers. The stars of this fragrance are in the drydown. The drydown is unbelievable. Instead of coconut as I'm used to smelling it, it has a cocoa butter type drydown to it. I suppose that this is due to the musk and cashmere wood. Rock Princess is utterly edible throughout the fragrance. To me it smells like my grandma's peach tart. Slightly spicy and buttery with warm baked peaches. Reminds me of Christmas! When we did the sniff test, my husband favored Rock Princess second after the original Princess fragrances. Rock Princess is my favorite of the three, but I do like all of them. The only negative is that it only lasted for about 6 hours on me. I'll need to purchase the lotion in order to layer the fragrance. I rate it an 8 out of 10.

I like all the *Princess* range, but this is one that stands out for me, because it is so different from its sister scents. I consider Rock Princess as being the fun outgoing slightly more grown up sister to the demure original Princess. It starts out with a sharp burst of raspberry and other juicy fruits. Perhaps that is the "rock" part of this fragrance, as it does announce itself with vigor. Rock Princess then calms down a little as the rose and jasmine soothe the sharpness of the fruits. The dry down is a delicate fruity musk on me. Perhaps that represents the calmness a real rock princess feels after she has danced the night away. All in all it's a very nice perfume. Yes, it may be aimed at a younger audience but it's still a more mature scent than others in the Princess range. The unfortunate downside that I encounter with most Vera Wang perfumes is that they don't last longer than a few hours, and this one isn't an exception. Still it's fun and flirty and good for wear in the day time or at night.

This as well as glam princess where my favorites from this line. I wore this one a lot (probably like 15 years ago now!), and still do on occasion. I was absolutely a rock princess, complete with a heavy metal lover (meant to be sung like the gaga song), and so I gravitated towards this. I would spritz this on before I would go see said guy, and it just seemed to add the finishing touch. A little bit of edge, and sexiness. At least it made me feel that way haha. I remember nights dressing up going to concerts wearing this fragrance. I liked to wear it to concerts because it wasn’t overpowering but it still smelled good. Yes, it has a boosy but fruity note, but I liked that. It also reminded me of going to dark clubs with loud music and beer on tap, so it was perfect for those occasions. It is definitely a young scent but I still enjoy it, if just for memory’s sake. I didn’t know there was a newer version until recently... I will be trying it soon.

Just purchased another bottle at tjmaxx today and still have my old one but this smells good and very potent because I'm a heavy sprayer and before I left the house I used one spray on the wrist and the whole time I was out shopping I smelled it. I originally picked lady gaga fame but it didn't smell like anything so I took it back into tjs and exchanged for rock princess... This to me has a slight banana smell and reminds me of a sweet version of Halloween. Idk but to me it lasts just like the original princess and I feel better knowing its from a designer instead of lady gaga lol tbh I only got the lady gaga cause it was 9.99 and I'm scared of her lol I don't do evil but the fame bottle is pretty and I woulda kept it if it smelled but it was like spraying water .. I'll stick with Vera cause she knows her fragrance like she knows her gowns.

I got this today at Marshalls a 3.4 oz for $32.00 on discount.I am happy with it.I seen it yesterday and I had to go back and get it today.I like the bottle alot my son says it stands out from all of the others in my collection.It is very light and I would say lighter than the original I guess someone would have to be right up on me to smell it. It does smell familiar to me like a light sweet candy scent maybe those little valentines candy hearts and I do detect some bannana in this.Overall I give it a 4 out of 5 only because it is too light.I wouldn't repurchase but it is nice to have.Now I need Flower Princess and all 3 lotions and I have the collection.

Sheesh! So many haters! But this too adds to the true nature that is Rock Princess. The Rock princess is a princess of the night, but not the princess of darkness. She's not dark in an "Alice in Chains" way, but she's a creature of the night, who comes out to party like a rockstar. She's rock like a "Party Rock Anthem", shes rock like a "Rock You like a Hurricane." She takes style cues from Ke$ha and David Bowie. She's dark in a way, dark compared to her princess sisters, but not so much dark as she is just different. She's the bad girl in the company of the good girl princess line, but a princess nonetheless.

I like the princess line, particularly the original, which I do find quite sweet and girly. This however is not. It has subtle sweetness to it but it opens quite spicy (nearly unisex) and dries down to a nice soft sweet musky with a nice bit of depth and warmth. More so than any of the other Vera Wang fragrances I have tried. I love it. But for those after something younger and sweeter this isn't it.

I love this perfume. I would definitely say it is heavier than others, like Glam princess, but not so heavy that it's overpowering. It's sweet and I can definitely smell the jasmine and rose. Everything else just kinda blends it all together. I wear it all the time. I think it is more of an evening/night scent but can be worn during the day. I wish it lasted longer though.

This is quite an unusual scent. I smell the banana and coconut in it and I find the blend very interesting! I imagined something darker, though... But it smells really good, I like it, it ́s good for an easy summer day because it ́s somehow playful and sweet (but not candy-sweet). I will buy the original "Princess", too, and then I will compare them! :-)

I have to review this again because since I have had it I haven't used it and the other day I sprayed some on and I said to myself "man I really do like this one". I would repurchase I guess but for now I still have a full bottle lol! Overall I do like this alot but yet flower princess is still my favorite.

I got this 4 my birthday yesterday and I have 2 say I quite liked its fruity/floralness w/ and edge... The patchouli and the musk made it dark and mysterious just like the bottle and box suggest... The peach and raspberry are apparent as is patchouli which isnt listed here... A nice change indeed!!!

This and Glam princess are my favorites out of all the vera wang princess perfumes. (Although this one doesn't really smell like the others.) At first I thought it seemed a bit too strong and that I might not like it... but now I can't get enough of it.. and I get compliments when I wear it.

I like rock princess. It does not smell super "girly". The musk comes off pretty nicely on this one. Not too strong, just enough to still be a princess that she is. Too bad the longevity is weak. Does not stay more than 2 hours on my skin. But, I enjoy it while it lasts. :)

Smells so much like Parma Violets on my skin :) I LOVE it! Bottle and scent totally matches my style, dark on the outside yet sweet inside :) Definitely need to repurchase this, didn't realise how much I missed it!

I wear this perfume regularly because i LOVE it! When i first smelled it from the bottle i wasn't sure but its one of my faves now. Its so wearable and unique and the bottle is absolutely fab!

I bought this brand new in wrapping for only $9 (3.4 oz)! At first I really didnt care for it but this really grew on me and I came to adore it! Favorite of the Princess line.

I adore this fragrance, heavy vanilla sweet , hints of raspberry, and musky. My husband uses it sometimes I guess it’s sort of unisex?

This can be a weird one! It takes a few tries to figure out what it is. The first couple times I tested this on myself, it was a nondescript, muddled mess. Top notes were banana, a sweet red wine and baby powder to me. Not at all what I'd imagine a Rock Princess to smell like... And it still isn't. However the notes are more discernable to me now and it's really quite nice. It's not the cottony, dark chocolate frosting that the original was, nor the crushed berry juice that Preppy Princess is. The notes that are most apparent to me are raspberry, begamot, white peach, and if you look really hard, a tiny bit of the coconut. The drydown is quiet, clean and powdery with a slight tartness from the top notes. Sillage and longevity are pretty mild. This juice can be a hit or miss so I suggest trying it out on your own skin. I find it smells best when sprayed from 3-4 inches away from skin rather than right up against it, somehow I can pick apart more of the notes this way.

I strongly dislike everything else in the Princess line, but this one has grown on me. Forget the bottle and the name, and this is an interesting scent. I first smelled it on a blotter at Ulta & wasn't sure about it. A few weeks later I smelled it on someone else and absolutely loved it- it smelled sweet and edible (kudos to the random strangers who will tell you what they are wearing). When I finally caved and bought it along with the lotion I was still mixed at first, but now I really like it. It's a weird mix- kinda foody and warm, even a touch masculine somehow, but it works out well in the end. There's a lot going on with the notes in this one, but it gets points for being different. I don't smell the middle/flowery notes mentioned in the description much at all. I am still sniffing my wrists a lot every time I wear it. Also, the staying power is very good.

a coucounty.. deeper version of princess veraa wang ..trying to catch up with the rock and rose orrock and drems or packo rban rock but there is one problem its too light you can hardly smell it it can hardly leave a trail or a lasting impression.. they say its sweet musky woody fruity powdery but you really have to hunt for the accords it takes while un till yo get to smell anything..its not an explosive perfume nor a fine one its lost in between.. in a category of its own.. ok its sweet alright but not overwhelmingly so its niceish it needs a wake up call a serious one..its a bit dull to my nose it doesn't evoke sensations or strong feelings .its merely there a faint trail of happiness..she needs to scream louder..for all that black rock black bottle..! perfume ratting 3.8 out 5 bottle ratting 4 out of 5 edp 100ml bougt from sephora about 100 us $

I blind bought this today. I’ve never had a Vera Wang perfume so I had nothing to compare it to. The first spray was very sweet and slightly marshmallowy to me. After that the raspberry came through very strong and I do smell a faint coconut coming through it. I’m baffled by all of these negative reviews but I like a lot of different types of perfumes.For me this was a good blind buy. It’s sweet, like more modern perfumes, but also floral. The dry down is a powdery floral. I would have considered this a safe blind buy before reading the negative reviews. This is a rockstar princess in a Gwen Stefani way= not a goth, dark way. It feels like it could be the cousin to the Betsy Johnson perfume, Halloween or Mystic by Jean Arthes. Longevity 5 hours + and the price was less than $20 for more than 3 oz. A steal!

the first time i smelled this i was testing both rock princess and the original and honestly in the beginning they kind of smelled similar, this was probably due to all the other perfumes that were around. when i actually sprayed it on my skin the first thing i smelled was something kind of sour and sharp, then it kind of mellowed out to a little bit on a fruity soap smell, okay so far not great, but surprisingly enough the dry down is pretty good. this isn't my favorite perfume and but i do like it, and the lasting power is very good, especially compared to the original. overall i think i would wear this in the summer/spring just because the initial notes are citricy and the dry down actually smells very clean.

At first try I had to agree I wasn't sure where the "Rock" in Rock Princess came from. However after pairing it with an outfit that made me feel a bit sexier than the standard tshirt and jeans I realized that RP felt right at home and indeed does have a darker slightly sultry side. This makes it a player that fits in well on several occasions. And that makes me happy. RP is slightly tart slightly sweet red berries with a light floral air and a slight feel of coconut and wood. It's light but still has a presence and decent sillage. It's feminine / girly / slightly smoldering, and it's a winner in my book. I say check it out. Oh, and I have to add, this is nothing like Supermodel for me. It's far better.

I'm surprised this is so polarizing. When I first got it, I thought it was fruity and powdery in a wrinkle-your-nose way. But I gave it a chance because the bottle and smell gave me Gossip Girl vibes --- Jenny Humphrey would wear this. Now, I get a raspberry-peach-lime coconut cream dessert vibe. Fruity and creamy, like something from the Cheesecake Factory (but not in an edible, sugary gourmand way). I love!! It's not inherently spicy but kind of suggests an edgy vibe. Picture an early 2010s party, smokey eyes and silver jewelry. I wear this out all the time and it has pretty good sillage!

I really like this, it is certainly the most unique of the Princess flankers that I own. It starts out a slightly, but well balanced, smoky raspberry and then a hint of the florals and then the cashmere wood and musk come through. But this is all pretty quick as it has horrendous longevity (or at least my bottle does), it is absolutely a skin scent after about an hour. It is such a pity as I like this a lot and would love it if it had decent longevity (for reference I have original Princess and Glam Princess and both have acceptable/moderate longevity on me).

I was using her going to work for awhile and I find her edgy and very unique. I quite like her but I know people who don’t vibe with her so this can’t be a safe blind buy. I love the idea of an “edgy princess” that doesn't sit on het ass waiting for her prince to come and rescue her. Androgynous perfume. Definitely has the masculine touch to it but for me it’s still very feminine due to the variety of floral notes. The Coconut note bring a bit of a sweetness to soften the musk. The sillage is quite good for such a drug store kinda perfume!

The impression I get is that this particular rock princess is rather a wallflower, standing at the edge of the crowd and willing not to be noticed. Don't get me wrong, it's a nice fragrance, but that's all it is. From a fragrance named Rock Princess I would expect something more edgy and unique, but instead its a mediocre fruity floral musky blend. At first the sweet raspberry and florals are noticeable then it dries down to a soft musky coconut. Reasonable price, sillage and lasting power. Soft and pretty, but it definitely doesn't rock.

The best word for me to describe this scent is strange. It's very fruity but also extremely woody. The fruitiness is all raspberry which is the part I enjoy. I think the wood note is very much enhanced from the coconut and iris being mixed in here. It smells like raspberry bush deep in the woods after a heavy rain. I don't hate it but I sure don't love it. It just find it very strange. And I think they missed the Rocker vibe they were going after. It should be called like Forest Princess or Fairy Princess...

francamente pensavo peggio. non che si tratti di un profumo molto originale, beninteso, ma neppure uno di quelli fruttati, dolcissimi e caramellosi per le giovincelle zuccherose. no, qui si rintracciano i frutti rossi, anche un po' di pesca, sostenuti da un cuore floreale non male. anche il fondo non è sgradevole, un po' polveroso e ambrato, ma dignitoso. non esattemente il mio genere ma neanche da gettare via. cosa ci sia di rock in tutto ciò proprio non si capisce.

On my skin, this opens very sharply and is slightly unpleasant. But once it dries down, it changes completely. I get this dark, I almost want to say sinful, scent that is hard to describe. It has a touch of boozy smokiness, I pick up on a honey note for some reason, and then roses. To me, this would qualify as a gothic scent, and it would be a great choice for those evenings dressed in black velvet and plenty of eyeliner.

When I first smelled it from the bottle it smelled like any other perfume. When I put it on my wrist it was nothing special but when it dried out I was enjoing it more than I thought. On my skin It smells a little sweet (not rotten, at all) and woody, which I love. It sort of smells like shampoo but when it dries is nice and woody, with a hint of coconuts... If you like coconuts and wood you should try this.

Its really different. There are so many perfumes that smell exactly the same but to me this on is distinct. Its powdery-musky ambiance but its deeply floral as well. Also, this scent has longevity compared to other perfumes. It stays on throughout the day.If I could rename this perfume it would be called Arabian princess because if you leave it on for a while it has a dewey ,sultry scent.

I had previously owned a bottle of Vera wang's rock princess and I must say I used it at every chance I could get. It's lovely, quite sweet. I find it works really well when combined with another perfume. The only worry with this scent is that it is not very long lasting. Although, all in all, i'd still go back and buy it again. I love the entire princess range from Vera Wang! :)

i bought this perfume as a blind buy and i'm glad i did, well when i first sprayed it on my wrist it smelt like vodka - but after about 30 seconds the fruit/floral notes started coming through, the only problem i have with it is that it doesn't last long it fades away after about an hour and 30 minutes, but it is a nice perfume once it's left for a little while.

This one is ok. I do not get any fruits, just a soft, sweet, vaguely spicy, vanillic coconut aroma which is my bag. It lasts about four hours on my skin before fading to a skin scent which is a pleasant, light version of itself. Sillage is average. I probably won't buy it again but I am satisfied with the 100ml I bought for a bargain price.

Sweet Musk and Jasmine mixed with a baby powder scent followed up by a smooth sweet woody notes is what I get when I wear this. It's very different to the other Princesses and that is exactly why I like it so much! Light enough to wear during the day or paired over the body lotion is strong enough to wear in the evening! Beautiful!

this has a weird, scratch-and-sniff perfume sample from a magazine quality to it... that i honestly kind of like? it’s slightly synthetic, very clean, almost androgynous. it’s really barely fruity at all on me, except for a slight shampoo-like whisper. i struggle to see how it shares the princess dna, but i don’t hate it

This was at TJ Maxx and I have not seen this there yet so I thought I'd try it. Hmmm... well, def not at all like Preppy Princess lol!! This one is kinda strange, can't decide if I like it or not. It's OK but not something I sprayed and loved. It smells like cocoa butter or shea butter to me. Very linear.

The rose, and jasmine seem to be the main notes in this, at least on my skin. Any raspberry, peach, or coconut are very very light additions (and the notes I was hoping for). If your a rose fan I would say you should give this a chance. Sweet and floral. Nice but not really what I was looking for.

I can smell mostly raspberry and a bit of coconut, and something else. Not sure what but it's not in anyway pleasant. I don't find it that sweet and I think it is different than other Princess editions. I can't see myself wearing so it will probably have to go and make space for something I love.

All I can smell is ginger and it isn't even listed in the notes. There is such a muddle of flavours, I just can't figure this perfume out. I have read all the reviews and mine just doesn't match. It is a much more masculine flavour compared to other Vera Wang perfumes. Maybe I got a bad batch.

I am not fond of the Princess line, but this one I thought held the most promise. I really liked it when I first sprayed it on. WHen I got home...'where did it go'? It just disappeared. I prefer my perfumes to stick around for at least a few hours!

i like the original princess, and i really wanted a chance to buy this because the bottle is so gorgeous. the perfume inside the pretty bottle disappointed me though. there ́s nothing "rock" about it, it ́s just floral fruity and nothing original.

I really like this I got it from a swap. I'd probably never had tried it otherwise. I find this scent unique and different. It's woody yet sweet. A very uncommon combination done properly. I also think this bottle is too cool.

Loved this original. Juicy energetic raspberry with a cashmere hug smooth base. The new 2023 version smells like cheap men's aftershave mixed with baby powder. Who wants to smell like a snoring old man baby?! Stupid! 😭

A slightly more grown up version of the original princess. Just as sweet and fruity but slightly more floral with the jasmine and rose notes. Definitely not a "Rock Princess" fragrance, as it is very cute and girly.

This smells like blackberry jam but in a good way? Initially it's very boozy, like you spilled rum on yourself at the bar, but once that dies down it's pleasant. Warm and coconut at the end, a little powdery.

When i was got this smell for the first time, I felt warm and strange to this one. But after 2 weeks later I started to addict this one. It smells really great and long lasting power also good.
