Le Point G

This is a really beautiful scent but it's soooooo weak! I don't have anything else like it in my collection and will be keeping it for that reason but it's pretty much a skin scent from first spray. This would be perfect for bedtime or the office or anywhere you'll be in close proximity with people. It's totally inoffensive while still smelling very unique. It pretty much smells like a second skin and not a perfume. Iris and rose are the star players here. The blend is maybe a 65/35. One of the most beautiful iris or rose fragrances I've had the pleasure of smelling. They're blended to perfection here. The scent is powdery; not in a heavy, guerlain powder sort of way, but rather a light sprinkling of babypowder and old book dust swirling around an 18th century castle nursery in a spring breeze sort of way. There's a rose bush outside the window and the trail of their scent is coming in and swirling with the papery iris. It's magical and innocent. The fragrance really is as delicate as they come. It conjures the sweet relationship between the Romanov sisters while they played in their forest cottage, away from chaos of revolutionary tides. If you don't mind a skin scent, I highly recommend this perfume. It's very unique, soft and airy. Longevity 6/10 Projection 3/10 Sillage 5/10 Scent 10/10 *Personal memory for this fragrance is the smell of my granny reading me golden books in her bed that was adorned with with blankets from the 1950's. It's the scent of old books, talcum powdered, soft skin and vintage fabric all melted together in a beautiful puff of air.

I had to revise my entire review of this perfume because this fragrance single-handedly got me over my hatred of iris. I usually truly cannot stand iris but I hate being cut off from enjoying a scent so I try to expand my palette. I’m not sure if I just trained myself to like the note or if the juice changed once it settled after a few months - I suspect it’s the latter. I always adored the opening but when the iris hit I literally would have to scrub it off. Today I sprayed it in the morning, then took a shower and reapplied it and then reapplied it late at night, I’m obsessed! So cozy and super sensual in this subtle way. Not saying I’d love all iris perfumes but in this case the musk and iris are blended to perfection. But again, if you don’t like it I’d recommend waiting at least a month or so in case it grows on you like it did me.

Normally, I go for sweet, girly fragrances, but I wanted to branch out a bit, so I started with a sample of Le Point G from Scentbox. (I’d be lying if I said the name isn’t what sold me🤷♀️) This fragrance is clean, subtle, calming, and ever-so-slightly powdery, (and not in a grandmotherly way,) as well as it is “comforting and intriguing,” like @/maddy.cucu put it. Le Point G is a minimalist, French-girl-chic, rose scent for a woman in her late 20’s or 30’s. I do also smell a hint of leather, even though it is not listed in the notes (and yet it is listed as a leather perfume? confusing.) I do like this fragrance, but I can’t see myself buying a full bottle, because it’s not my vibe (if I’m wearing perfume I want to smell like perfume.) But, this is a nice option if you’re looking for a light, clean, skin scent.

This is one of my favorites from Véronique Gabai! These are the notes from her website: Pink Pepper, Rose, Iris, Vanilla, White Musks, Leather, Cedar Wood. I am not sure where fragrantica got the Tonka beans and amber notes from? Anyway, this fragrance is gorgeous. It has a slight, and I mean slight, leathery touch to it that makes it very sexy and a bit naughty but this is a subtle floral and gorgeous musky scent. It is a daytime scent in my opinion but to each their own. This can be worn by anyone, it does qualify as a unisex in my humble opinion. I love how quiet and serene this makes me feel when I wear it. I discovered it last year and wore it throughout the summer and early fall and received compliments each time I wore it. Worth a try for sure and full bottle worthy for me : )

This is a very feminine, soft, sensual scent. It's not powdery to my nose. It's more floral, creamy, musky. There's a subtle pink rose in there mixed in with other florals like iris and a delicate, clean musk. There are several notes in there that make the perfume interesting, complex and mysterious in the sense that it doesn't go in any particular direction. If you like soft feminine perfumes like Creed's Love in White, Good Girl Gone Bad or Xerjoff's Dama Bianca, then you will enjoy this one, however, please note that it's very fleeting. Tried this out at Bloomingdales. Smell: 9 out of 10 Strength: 4 out of 10 Feminine For reference, I'm female.

Beautiful musky iris powdery slightly rosey. The likes of Fleur de peu, gossier, valentino donna come to mind. Sweeter and less waxy than Fleur, stronger than Gossier, and better drydown than VD. Really fluffy musky, not too strong, rose is barely present, lots and lots of iris and spice. Very elegant makeup bag scent, and I do get some longevity from it too. Love the name! Between small decanters and full size of perfumes I think I own a 300 fragrances of many different brands...so many indeed This is a very noteworthy fragrance. A fragrance without equal. It's really a scent that seems to be made to remind you of a woman's smell, the exact spot in the middle of her breasts--it's incredibly sensual. It has no comparison at all! It’s totally worth its price. It moves me every time I wear it. I am sure it will be a scent I will have for a lifetime.

Update: I LOOOVVE this scent. Definitely signature scent worthy. If I didn’t have so much perfume, I would only wear this. I find this much more comparable to Ledda’s Orris 22 than Glossier You. This has been sitting unused amongst my other perfumes. Today I did a side by side comparison of Le Point G and Glossier You. This is much more smooth and dreamy than You. It lasts a lot longer too.

This is my second signature scent. Smells like skin, iris, musk. It’s addicting. I will admit the performance isn’t the best. Yet, in the Florida heat it really blooms and on me, there’s quite a longevity. I have had many people compliment me, and they tell me I simply smell like a great smelling person. Androgynous.

It is a beautiful scent of skin that blends musk, iris, and rose scents. When someone asks, "What perfume did you wear?" you can say, "Oh, I didn't wear perfume!" You can act like a person who smells good on your skin without wearing perfume. It is also very good to layer with other perfumes :)

This might be my favorite new fragrance. I LOVE this perfume. A wonderful, yummy floral. It's sensual, musky, romantic and elegant. Rich but not overpowering. It doesn't smell like anything else I own. I'm not a signature scent person, but this could be my signature scent.

I keep seeing that this smells like Glossier You, but to my nose, I smell more Chanel 1957, which I love. So this is easy to settle into. I’m enjoying my sample so much. Deciding if I need both 1957 and this, but probably.

This is beautiful! It reminds me of another scent..almost like a viva la juicy, Tommy girl mix but not as bright. From the first spray to the dry down, this is so lovely.

It was interesting to get acquainted with the brand Veronique Gabai because of the personality of the creator. Firstly, she worked for the Estée Lauder concern and recommended buying brands such as Le Labo and Kilian, that is, she has a taste. Secondly, she inherited a villa in the south of France, which inspired her to create her brand, because the south of France suggests thoughts of pleasure (you can't argue). Now the provocative fragrance Le Point G, dedicated to point G, has been released. So guys, you can finally find her! The fragrance turned out to be rather leather in sound, neutral, one that can be worn everywhere, because it will not interfere, and then completely shifts with the body odor. I see it as "perfume underwear". But the fragrance that I paid more attention to and I advise you to sniff is Noir de Mai. Live with him for half an hour and watch him play. At first you will feel the smell of the body and the smell, if I may say, of passion. Later, find tobacco smoke enveloping the rose in it. Very sensual!

Oh, goodness! If I didn't have a budget, I'd own a full bottle of this. It is such a clean scent, but that hit of leather makes it so sensual. It would certainly be purple if it had a color. I have a little decant that I'm hoarding jealously, but needs-must and I'd be a bit ashamed to purchase a full bottle at this price.

Upon spraying this I instantly was reminded of Glossier You, but with a soft pink rose. I like it, but the lasting power is poor. This turns into a faint skin scent within an hour.

This stands out from my other Iris focused scents. I really like the powdery softness with the delicate rose note.

Soft, gentle, comforting skin scent. I get more iris than rose. It's quite lovely and fresh watery at first then becomes a warmer clean musky and powdery scent. I must not be an iris lover because while this was lovely, it felt like it was not "me." This does not project much, but had better longevity than some other Veronique Gabai scents (which I found surprisingly nice but the performance was sadly lacking). To me this is a "safe likeable" sort of day/anytime fragrance - no shock factor, but there may be people who don't like iris who do not prefer it.

Now everything is solved. I got a new Le Point G, and this is definitely Iris and sweet rose, musky scent with sticky vanilla-amber. The last note is similar to Iris de Champ (Houbigant), or It just smells like Iris de Champ added sweet roses smell.

I wanted to love this since I’m searching for my perfect skin scent, but unfortunately Le Point G is not it for me. I haven’t seen this mentioned by anyone else so it’s probably just my skin chemistry, but this smelled very much like the ash of a cigarette on my skin.

This is so faint and fleeting. I could hardly smell it after 10 minutes that I dont know why people like this. Perhaps my skin chemistry is different or what.

I decided to give this a go because I saw people compared it to Fleur de Peau and Glossier. I love those two but I was hoping this would have better sillage. I only got travel size. It is lovely and I will use it up, however it is just different enough that I dont think it is FBW. It has a honey/suede/leather note that is not listed, but is definitely there and I am not a honey/suede/leather note person. I see the comparison and it is the same TYPE of scent as those others but not enough alike to buy. *** I must note that the sillage on this is waaaaaaay better than 95% of my scents. It leaves a bit of an oiliness on my skin and that makes it last and last! Plus i LOVE those bottles. I am going to check out the other scents because the quality of these are amazing. UPDATE: i’m here to eat Major crow on this one! The honey type leather note is still there, but most of it goes away within the first 10 minutes or so. And I have to tell you what is left smells so similar to Chanel Venise that it thrills me! I fing my self reaching for this and the silage and longevity is way better than Venise. But that price is just crazy!🫤

I met Veronique Gabai at a perfume conference, where she had me apply this in the crook of my elbow. At first I liked it. Clean, iris, rose, musk. I went on to smell many of her scents on blotters and discuss the brand with her. She captures the South of France lifestyle in the bottle. When I went back to smell Le Point G in my elbow I was blown away. It had transformed into the most magnificent skin scent. The projection is not huge hence the G Spot reference, but I had 6-8 hour performance. Beautiful wafts of clean, musky sensuality came throughout the evenings from my elbow. I must have smelled hundreds of fragrances from the conference and this one just outshone them all with it's parred down simplicity. Fans of Glossier You, Le Labo's Santal, Iris and The Noir will recognize this DNA from perfumer Frank Voelkl. In this iteration of musky, woody he has leans into the rose and iris giving a sensual touch. The bottle is refillable and absolute work of art.

I recently visited Bergdorfs in New York and was drawn into Veronique Gabai by a lovely and super knowledgable SA who took the time to understand my scent profile. The perfumer behind Le Point G is Frank Vogel, who is credited for creating Glossier's You and Le Labo's Santal 33. To my nose, this is a clean/freshie skin scent that does not project much. The opening is a creamy iris musk, but the dry down smells *exactly* like Glossier You, which I already own so I don't think I'll be needing this in my collection.

Just get Chanel 1957, you'll be happier if iso e super bothers you. This aroma chemical, which in and of itself isn't bothersome at lower concentrations, is very apparent to my sense of smell here. It makes it almost a peppery cedar by product with musky iris. This isn't an inexpensive perfume which is why I said what I did about the Chanel, if your going to pay for this at least try the 1957 and you won't get that odor.

Sweet iris violet combo. It does smell like vintage lipstick. It is very pretty but there are nicer scents with this profile. I have Dioramour, I think they are similar but Dior's quality is much nicer, something in Veronique Gabai scents is a little too harsh. Sample it first.

Veronique Gabai Le Point G smells like Glossier You's clean skin, purple floral musk but a tad more powdery, in a make-up powdery way, with a little more freshness from the pink rose addition. Pretty moderate projection and on me it lasted past 6 hours.

Very soft and comforting. I have nothing like this in my collection. Like a warm cashmere sweater... But I think this fragrance would work for any season. I received a sample and now I want the full bottle.

Unfortunately, the rose in this turns grassy on my skin for whatever reason. Otherwise, this would be a beautiful smelling skin scent. This is going to be a pass for me.

Smelled familiar when I sprayed it.... Like a mixture of Putain de Palaces with Glossier You. Comforting and intriguing

This fragrance is gorgeous. It’s similar to Chanel 1957 but no citrus. Same musk dry down.
