Lumière d’Iris

First, I want to profess my love for reading reviews because they always encourage me to go back with the perspective another person has about a fragrance or refer me to other fragrances I have not tried or even heard of. Just a note of gratitude that I feel now after reading reviews below - I'm surprised there are not more--but they are so insightful, even if I disagree with an opinion, they always provide some perspective that opens my mind to how I experience a particular scent or fragrances in general. That said, I really love this fragrance. I bought a 10 ml decant last year and ran through it in the summer. Despite my love for it, I still looked for a deal on a bottle given the ridiculous price point which I'm sorry to say is completely unaffordable for most people -- but I never found one. Instead, I purchased massive refill for around $180 and picked up a couple bottles to put it in. For unknown reasons, I haven't pulled it out in awhile - perhaps because I've been testing and wearing so many other fragrances recently - but since I've been dousing myself in this for the past couple days, I want to share a few thoughts. This is an iris for people who are turned off by Orris Root and can't get past that intense and distinctive earthy. carroty, sweaty-wheaty, iris smell. Lumiere d' Iris is truly transparent and a bit sweet, apparently accented by a bunch of other florals that I can't smell. For that reason, I feel like I can get on board with this scent any time of year. I would also describe this as slightly above body-spray level because it is so light in terms of both silage and longevity. Silage is noticeable for people who come within your personal space only and the longevity is about 4 hours. I imagine this is what a very expensive body spray of very high quality would smell like. In closing, I've smelled a number of Veronique Gabai scents and while this is my favorite, they all have a very Cote d' Azure feel to them. When you wear them, you kind of feel wealthy and stylish and you don't many major life concerns as they are dealt with or handled by others. I wouldn't mind having a bottle of everything she's commissioned for her brand, and I am surprised that she's not more popular in the fragrance community. Just thoughts. Happy smelling!

I have not always been a lover of iris, it’s almost always been a note that has turned me off of a fragrance. But Lumière d’Iris is done so exquisitely, it made me question if I really disliked it in the first place. It’s so masterfully blended, and when I smelled it for the first time I knew in that instant that this was somehow a part of me. Whenever I wear it, it makes me feel like the best version of myself. I think it would be the most beautiful wedding scent, it’s so elegant and refined, not too loud, but just makes you feel like the most beautiful woman (and the bottle could be your something blue!) - Lumière d’Iris also opened doors for me to explore the world of iris, and while I still don’t love all of them- I do have a deep appreciation for them, and have found a few more loves thanks to this one.

I initially got the travel version, and loved it, but a FB felt extremely expensive for it's longevity. I finally found it with a very acceptable discount, so here I am with my first FB. It's a lovely fresh and citrusy scent, different from the usual fresh scents, classy and sophisticated. It's true that it doesn't last long and the sillage is quite intimate, but the scent is so beautiful that I don't care spraying two or three times a day. It will not last a lifetime, but I prefer to enjoy it rather than saving it.

This is beautiful and indeed luminous! The Iris is beautiful and present throughout the entire wear but it’s airy and not heavy at all. If you’ve tried Ibitira by Xerjoff, they start similar. But Lumière d’Iris has a citrusy/floral dimension that Ibitira doesn’t. Ibitira wears more powdery on my skin. Regardless, this is a delightful scent and I am enjoying it immensely! Longevity: 6-7 hours Projection: moderate Sillage: moderate Price: expensive, I got my bottle at a discount. It’s worth waiting for discounts or sales.

As a fan of iris, this is very pleasant to me. It has a very soothing opening, not too bright, not too loud. Immediately I am getting a lot of rose, a lot of floral. It quickly transitions onto iris. Beautiful concoction but perhaps lacking character. After a while powdery iris and neroli are all that remain. When compared to Psychedelic Love by Initio Parfums, I am more drawn to Lumiere d'Iris but that's probably because I adore anything iris. Psychedelic Love has more character and is more unique in my opinion. When compared to Apollonia by Xerjoff, I prefer Apollonia. Lumiere d'Iris is more floral and uplifting in the beginning, but over time Apollonia retains it's character better. Apollonia settles into a beautiful well rounded comforting scent while Lumiere d'Iris feels quite noisy and obscure after a while.

Leathery... Slightly fizzy... Iris... Leathery iris with fizzy touches.. The perfumerCreatorowner wrote: "Ultimate chic revisited by the sunshine of the Côte d’Azur. A scent that hesitates between flower and wood, between the masculine and the feminine, to find its perfect balance marrying both, in an explosion of light, radiance and mystery." I really can see this clearly! the fizzy touch hat added the bergamot, mandarin, neroli, cedar, & aqua are mingled perfectly to form that Cote d'Azur stamp of sensuality! I'd def purchase it if it were 70$ but $260 is way too much! i don't aim to put it down but it's a blend i have sniffed before and it doesn't lean that much on the quality ingredients or even the factor of the "beauty that i can't live without" statement! it's nice but overpriced...

Oh this is beautiful. My sig scent is Prada Iris and I love anything Iris so I got a travel size of this. It is along the same lines of Prada but definitely less sharp and herbal, and instead more soft and floral, a bit lotiony if that makes sense. It would take over Prada in my book but the price is insane and the lasting power is even worse than Prada. It is gorgeous tho.
