Eros Eau de Parfum

@Dior Sausage.....Practically every men's fragrance YouTube reviewer having a distinguished level of reputation/ credibility has reviewed and rated the edp as a marginally less sweet, deeper and "more mature" version of Eros edt. .....recommending the edp for guys who have moved beyond the edt (aged out of it) and are now older, even into middle-age. I actually owned a bottle of the OG edt from 2017 to about 2019 and sprayed it on EXTREMELY light just to be able to wear it (being middle-aged)---eventually "giving up on it" because I decided it was just too sweet and playful smelling for my age. Actually though, the fact is that BOTH of us CAN be "RIGHT" here (and that is really the POINT of my original post).....Check it out: Let's compare what was done to "change" the edt to make the edp more mature: Yes, they removed the green apple to add candy apple (as PART of the top notes), BUT--in the stronger and longer-lasting mid-- they removed a HUGE amount of SWEET tonka bean (see edt note pyramid) and added some herbal clary sage. Then (in the base), they took out the vetiver, added even more woods (well documented), bitter orange, and notably leather and patchouli to further add to its "maturity". The fact is, Eros EDT may well go down in perfume history as the greatest "clubbing" fragrance ever! AND, if it's true that Versace has now reformulated the edt in the past years, being evidently weaker than before, it makes sense that "clubbers" would prefer the edp for performance (usually spraying on more than "normal"). BUT, is the edp "For clubbers only!"?? Absolutely not. And here's where I differ with you just a bit. In a club "especially with all of the other fragrances in the air", no one will probably notice the difference in wearing the edp vs. the edt. But worn in a normal setting, in my opinion--along with noted fragrance reviewers--the edp is definitely a more mature fragrance BEST suited for wearers 26 and older. Finally, I simply LOVE the Eros dna, compliments aside. But--to @Dior Sausage's point, because it IS a sweet creamy men's fragrance regardless the concentration, I have ALWAYS recommended that men try it before they buy it. And because all Eros is both sweet with solid performance, I typically apply 2 to 4 sprays a fair distance AWAY from my skin for greater dispersion, and a lighter application for best results (presenting less of its sweetness and more of its mature elements).

I thought about this fragrance at least twice a week since I first sampled and reviewed it months ago. Honestly the main thing holding me back was its contemporary connotations, but I said fuck it and I finally snagged a bottle like a couple weeks ago. Oh yeah, best frag purchase of my life so far and my new signature scent I DONT EVEN CARE Someone once compared the sillage of this fragrance to a puff of icing sugar + Axe/"locker-room musk" and I agree... to me it's like a shaving cream and metal-sugar type beat, with an accord that reminds me of mens deodorant (think the Nivea men silver protect roll-on!)... Cooling/fresh and a little metallic but still with some density and sweetness to it. A freshie with some actual weight and power, and sweet without being cloying or really sugary. Smooth too, not powdery. I love it, it's a perf braindead reach (so versatile, all-occassions, not dtm or plain, just nice), I just don't have any complaints whatsoever! I also find it really projects well (hell yeah), and lasts nicely, you definetly don't need to overspray this. I actually find it's easy to overapply lol. This makes the already reasonable price point even better, totally worth the bucks. I'm a woman but this is like my signature scent indefinetly... It's a little masculine sure, but I don't care. (I dress more unisex so that contributes to it... I think girls can totally pull it off but, but probably not hyperfems) TL;DR: Shaving cream with icing sugar mixed in and men's deodorant metallic-ey fresh musk This is also actually my first fragrance to get complimented on; even my mother always notices and asks me what I'm wearing, saying it smells nice and that I smell expensive, and she's a picky judgemental person with hate in her heart and evil in her soul. Hell yeah Versace Eros Update: yeah really gives me a reliable scent bubble with like 1-2 sprays, gosh I notice it and love it, and so will other people!!! Some little kid sniffed the air and then like kept sniffing while inching closer to my legs and sniffing me bro (yes I spray my calves/ankles) it was so fucking funny. Don't do like more than 3 sprays and walk into an elevator on god you'll kill everyone.

OKAY SO... This is popular so im going to do my best to break it down... This is a fragrance where you really have to focus and be in the moment in order to pick out each note. It openes with a Minty , citrusy scent which weirdly enough I feel as it dries down , the citrus does wear off a fair bit as that mint is quite primary to the rest of the notes.. The green apple isnt NOTICEABLE but its not invisible, its just a touch of sweetness. I cant really smell the sage or geranium but the ambroxan is doing wonders for making this last long. When it's dried down, its this lovely woody vanilla with a slight overtone of freshness. Its not Armani SWY type vanilla, its soft, and relaxing. It is a party scent sure, but can be worn for casual wear and every day wear too, I dont go to clubs or Parties and I wear this casually and it suits so many occasions. Its a social fragrance for sure, but you dont have to be a party animal... Can also wear for office days LIGHTLY otherwise youre cooked. Depending who you are as a person and how you style yourself, you could be 30 and wear this , dont need to be some sort of clubbing player that everyone refers this fragrance too as said before. Id say between the ages of 13-30 you could style this fragrance. There's option and the fragrance compliments your style so if youre older youre not smelling like a 13 year old kid or on the flip side, a full grown adult. the good thing about eros is if you want this smell and just want a more refined , mature profile, you can go up a notch to the parfum or eros flame, but the EDP has an amazing median and performance is nearly nuclear for me . Atomiser is strong too you will run out quickly if you like it no idea why but the sprays are big price - 8/10 , love this thing practicality - 8/10 , so versitile perfomance/projection - 9/10

Eros EDP......Only for clubbing?? This is a general response to @lovetribes's #1 rated review here of Eros EDP (under the link "Positive Reviews" above)---where he conveys that the edp is renewed and extremely improved.....yet "not a real change" from the edt. Also stating within his review that because he "loves high performance" .....Eros edp is the "King of Clubs", ending his commentary with the definitive statement that the edp is "Only for clubbers." And while I totally understand the reason for his post's popularity in "sending a signal" to all of the clubbers out there that the edp is potentially a better alternative to the often surmised notion that the OG edt has been reformulated and neutered a bit of its well-regarded performance, I disagree with the "message implied" for the MANY here that may well take his #1 review to heart---And NEVER try the edp. (I also want to be clear that I'm quite fine that @lovetribe posted just the way he did, because he had his own personal ideas in mind FOR the edp, and HIS audience). However, Eros EDP was not primarily designed by Versace to attract more clubbers. Just the opposite. It was upgraded and reformulated to an edp as the next logical step in marketing to and attracting the demographics of males that were in fact either "aged out" of the original edt, or for those who were even older thinking that the edt had always been too sweet and playful, or a "clubbing" fragrance. Without covering what is already extensively covered in my review of the edp (dated 3/22/23), in short the edp is marginally less sweet, more mature smelling, with arguably a bit less projection than the edt, and most importantly best suited for those aged about 26 and UP. I'm a middle-aged dad with teenagers and I absolutely LOVE Eros edp!

TL;DR Smells exactly like Sauvage + 1 Million Elixir layered: fresh mint and super smooth sugar with a apple nuance Sampled: Smelled like showergel (in the best way) in the opening and when it settled... Ok so this smells like Dior Sauvage (mint leaves and pepper) and Rabanne 1 Million Elixir (super smooth sugar with osmanthus, apple-ey, vanillic depth) layered on top of each other and I think that's really funny and also really nice. I mean it really does makes sense considering the notes, just take a look! I really like this, I like Sauvage and I loooove 1ME, heyy it's like I can layer them for the price of one. Genuinely, it's really nice. If it wasn't for its contemporary connotations I feel like this would make a good office scent if you don't overspray (of course), I mean it's just clean and fresh and sweet with a little kick. I think this is a masc-leaning unisex. Yeah I'm a girl and I dunno if I'll buy but I would definetly wear this. Wtf is wrong with me Every single time I go out sampling mens fragrances to find stuff to recommend my boyfriend I always like it better on me than he probably ever will on himself Small edit: I think I sell it short in this review, I wanna emphasize I honestly love this fragrance and think about it all the time, it's signature scent worthy for me. I just don't own it because of it's associations/bad popularity. One day I'll just say fuck it and cop I'm sure lol

I've tried eros EDT and now own the EDP version. IMHO they goes in a different direction. Imagine this. When you smell The EDT version, it is like when you meet someone who you falling in love with and your heart beating fast, you are curious to see what will happen next. While smelling the EDP version is like when you meet your s/o, you are couple who has been together for sometime, and you feel content, relaxed, happy and calm when you meet each other. Yes, EDP got more mature (not old) and relaxing vibe, which is good and more suitable for me because i want girls to feel happy and relaxed when they are with me 😁 Make no mistake, the EDP still got the badboy and alpha male side, which makes this release worth every penny. Sillage : 8/10 in the first 2 hrs Projection : 8/10 in the first 2 hrs Longetivity : 6-7hrs (The average temperature in my country is 28-30 Celcius) Here i bought EDP 100ml for $70, so for me its a solid 9/10 The only perfume in my collection that beat this one is Sauvage, just because it smells similar to my character and it completes me. Got complimented A LOT by girls, and for me im sure eros EDP will get the same reaction too. My advice is, buy fragrance that resemblance your character, and dont be blinded by reviews/reviewer ☺️

Oh Eros, oh Eros.. I still imagine how such a unique zesty fragrance that's so well blended with a vanilla note by the perfumer. You cannot easily find such a unique fresh-all season fragrance like this! For me,it's a compliment beast.The edp variant lasts easily 9-10 hr on my cloths, can be considered as an all season wear, no cap but i appreciate it during the spring. Starting phase starts with-Mint + Red apple jam+ Lemon + hints of sweetness from inedible Vanilla, first phase does smell a bit sharp though; during second phase, the mint starts setting off meanwhile Red apple jam, Lemon and Vanilla starts becoming more potent adding a hint of salt water note;Final phase takes off the zesty notes away from the Red apple and lemon leaves completely meanwhile the Vanilla and salt water stays active until it reaches it's end. It projects well enough giving pleasant waves every minute, i wouldn't want it to be a beast projector tbh.. The downside for me is during the first 30min of spray the juice starts giving off kerosene-like or ironic element's smell that sometimes irritates your own nose but after this it's all good..Although it has a unique blend but all i can say "Men" can blind buy this perfume.

10/10 Eros Eau de Parfum is an absolute unit of a fragrance. It’s the only fragrance that is versatile enough to validate you right through one midlife crisis and into the next. Where the OG Eros used to scream, “I’m a college kid with enough of mom and dad’s money to get us both drunk tonight,” the new, improved (and more mature) EDP raises one eyebrow and whispers, “I’m looking for a younger woman with an annoying laugh and daddy issues.” Let’s face it. This is weapons grade material, so let’s cut to the chase so nobody gets hurt. Longevity: Four sprays of this will outlast your current marriage and your next one. Sillage: Galactic. Requires measurements in light-years. Closing thoughts: The first time I wore it I got two marriage proposals and a raise. The next time I wore it a lady told me I smell like all of the best things at the state fair and none of the animal poop. After wearing it for a week I noticed my hairline improving and my teeth were 20% whiter. This isn’t a fragrance you should wear to a business meeting but you’ll want to. And you know what? Why shouldn’t you? This is your life. Grab it by the Mediterranean blue/green bottle and live it!

Versace Eros EDP is actually very nice! Its my favorite from the entire Eros line. Its a very unique blend of notes, typically mint & vanilla on top of green accords isn't common. It does something unique, its not a gourmand vanilla but it blends the vanilla, mint & aromatic patchouli into an incredible DNA. I beleive this is why Eros EDP is so popular, its unique & strong. Most fragrances lose their opening scent profile within 10 minutes, but that's what I love about this fragrance, that opening is present for the entire duration even as it dries down. Once the dry down appears you'll get whiffs of the apple, sage & woody base. Its got great performance, longevity & projection. 4 sprays lasted me all day. I do think Eros EDP is best suited for colder seasons, however, it can be year round with less sprays, that crisp mint lends to warmer weather. Especially because its not a true gourmand. I also think its a great scent DNA for all ages, I've known teenagers to middle aged men wearing it. Versace did wonderfully with this release & i do again consider it the best Eros version.

They put crack in this, istg. I usually hate how men's fragrances smell so similar and either have notes of tobacco or smell like rubbing alcohol? But this??? Ohhhhhhhh this I really like. This is something that can be taken easily from day to night. It's sexy and approachable at the same time. Kind of like how when a guy has a really nice smile and it disarms you in the best way? It's refreshing with mint and citrus but there's a distinct sweetness. I think the vanilla was so necessary here and what sets this apart from other men's fragrances. I think men's fragrances are generally too afraid to add an element of sweetness to the notes and that's what makes them all smell too sterile. Vanilla with sandalwood will always be a banger, no notes. You can never get that wrong. So seeing it here makes so much sense. My partner wore this and the warmth from his skin only made the fragrance smell more beautiful as the day wore on. He could wear it to meet my parents during the day and I'd still lick it off his skin at night. Sorry for that strong visual.

The opening has that sweet apple vibe, but it comes off a bit synthetic to me. Not offensive, just not clean or natural. I don’t really see it competing with anything strong in its category, and honestly I don’t get the hype around it. Performance is not what people say. It’s more on the moderate side nothing crazy in projection or longevity. The main issue for me is the synthetic feel overall. It gets a bit annoying after a while. I also don’t see it as a date night scent like people claim. To me it feels more casual, even leaning a bit young. Once you’re 30+, I’d say just skip it. I tried Versace Eros Flame and found it better, but still not perfect the spicy notes there were a bit harsh for me. I’d say it works as a casual everyday scent, especially considering the price you can find it for really good deals. Just don’t expect anything special. Let me get this out of the way first: please don’t listen to people who say this is for young people only. That is the dumbest thing I have heard. If it smells good, then it smells good. I’m 44 and I just discovered this fragrance and picked up a new tester for $50. I promise you no one is going to say “you smell great but you aren’t 25, so please stop smelling good by using this fragrance”. Give me a break. Ok now on to the juice itself. I don’t really get excited for the opening. It’s not bad at all, but it doesn’t excite me. The dry down however is a different story. It’s this vanilla creamy woody scent in the dry down and it’s just awesome. I can’t imagine anyone being offended by this scent. It’s a crowd pleaser. This stuff lasts too. I wouldn’t ever do more than 2 sprays of this stuff. So bottom line, if you like how it smells, buy it and enjoy it, no matter your age. If you put this stuff in a Parfums de Marley bottle and charged $250 for it, no one would say this smells “youthful”.

I have to update my previous review because this is fire. I want to start by saying the opening is horrible. For the first 10 minutes, it smells sour, almost like pickles. But after 20-30 minutes, it settles into a gorgeous, sweet smell that invites you in. I was, for some reason, worried about longevity. Don't be. 4 hours after applying 2 sprays in 40 degree Fahrenheit weather, someone on the Lacrosse field told my sweaty ahh I smelled "sweeter than apple pie". I can still smell the skin scent 8 hours later RN, and it is divine. Great pricing for a unique and popular fragrance. One thing to add- People like to mention this is good for the ladies. NOT FOR THE COUGARS!!! If you're pulling bad bittys above the age of 30, I advise you to find another, more mature, and less synthetic fragrance. My mom, for example, liked it more than Dylan Blue but still did not find it better than a 5/10. It's doable as a daily as long as you limit your sprays, and certainly great for going out. 9/10

Versace Eros EDP is the Eros every man should get regardless of age. It's the best balanced and most versatile to me. Minty fresh and lightly sweet. The winning combo. The mint, candy apple and vanilla really blend incredibly well. I get a bit of geranium and sandalwood coming out as it dries down, but that's about it as far as stand out notes to me. Longevity is about 8 hours on my skin and projection is good, but reserved. It's not blasting people in the face, but noticeable by people around you. A crowd pleasing hit for a reason. I tend to go nose blind to this one, but I get compliments many hours later so it's not a weak performer. This is another anytime, anywhere cologne as long as you adjust sprays accordingly. I think every guy should have an Eros in their rotation. This is yet another fragrance you can get amazing deals at discounters. I highly recommend it fellas.

2025 update: - Picked up the Eros shower gel recently and, honestly, it feels stronger and more concentrated than the current EDP batches. - The shower gel leans heavily on the base notes, which made me realise: the secret to Eros’ iconic popularity is in its base. - The cedar in the EDP’s drydown is still smooth, masculine, and addictive. - I wear it to work often – not too strong, not too soft. Perfect balance. - I live in a country where people wear heavy oud and ultra-expensive Arabic woody perfumes, yet Eros still manages to grab attention. - The current EDP batches don’t perform like they used to. Projection is moderate, and longevity isn’t beast mode anymore. - Wearing it again after the shower gel reminded me why this DNA is so appealing.

renewed and extremely improved, for those who love high performance like me it is the top. slight citrus at the opening: Italian mandarin and lemon, an excellent mint that will always be present and a candied apple that makes it very, very sweet but pleasant. then a light geranium, a light clary sage and a good ambermax (which I think is a kind of amber). among the final notes a wonderful and sweet very strong vanilla and Virginia cedar, Vetiver Orpur®, Patchouli Orpur®, Sandalwood, Leather. Strong cedar but not vetiver, patchouli and sandalwood. in conclusion, an increase in essential oils and not a real change, perhaps less apple, but much more balsamic. the king of clubs. longevity more than 12 hours, high sillage. vote 9/10 only for clubbers.

So my scent of the day is Versace Eros, and honestly, I still love it. For me it’s Timeless, not just because of the DNA itself, but for the good memories it brings back. It was my entry into the fragrance world, and every time I wear it I get hit with that wave of nostalgia. But here’s my question: is Eros still valid in 2025? Some people call it dated, overplayed, even a clubbing relic. Others (like me) think it’ll always have a place in the game, whether as a signature for someone starting out or as a throwback scent for those of us who lived through its peak. For me, it will always stay in my collection. I think it deserves respect for what it did for men’s designer fragrances and the way it opened doors for so many.

I decided to give Versace Eros another try after the harsh reviews I gave and I kinda changed my mind, I started to appreciate it more especially for the cold time This is a perfect fragrance for the cold weather, very nice burst of green apples and mint combined with sandalwood and vanilla in the beginning The dry down is woody and kinda metallic/rust like smelling, very linear and non-bothering, it reminds me of Arabian fragrances in a way because of the sandalwood Not made to be an everyday fragrance, this is a special occasion, clubbing, dating fragrance, very powerful and can give headaches when oversprayed Overall, not bad, you want a good designer fragrance for winter? Go get this one

It is quite strong and rich. Not something I think I would recommend wearing all the time unless you want to nuke the sensitive people out of your presence. The bottle is nice, blue glass always has a nice look to it in the light. I wish it was a slightly different bottle from the parfum however so that kinda sucks. This is a favorite of many people I've encountered. Lots of reviewers on YouTube include the Eros family as their favorites. This is probably best used as an any event smell. I think it actually reminds me of "wedding". Probably wouldn't just wear this to work though. I have been experimenting wit CK Everyone + Eros EDP and it smells like an absolute hotel pool.

If you've already smelled the EDT, then look at the EDP as it's older more mature brother. It's not as loud, but still noticeable, and last that much longer. Can pick it up from most online discounters, can be worn all year round. People hate on it for 2 reasons. 1. It was at one stage, overly popular and 2. When some folks spray this on themselves, they go to town with it, which is a no no. It's a powerful scent, and literally 3 to 4 sprays max is enough. It's hard to hate on this scent though really, definitely great for those who are starting out or who just don't want to break the bank on something strong yet pleasant, but yeah, just go easy with the sprays.
