Gingembre Pétillant

Amazingly delicious!!! First and foremost this is a Praline/Vanilla dominant fragrance, it’s also warm and ambery, slightly spicy, and with a very enjoyable sweet synthetic bottom which rounds all of the accords in the best possible way. There are two important things to mention about this perfume, the first is that the ginger is not the usual one with the citrusy or zesty accord, but rather Red Ginger which has an addictive warm spicy aroma. Don’t even think about this perfume as being citrusy or fresh because it’s not. The second important thing to mention is that Praline is a synthetic molecule resembling caramel, such a molecule also causes this perfume to resemble some other synthetic fragrances with a sweet/ambery accord such as Cheeky Smile from Jusbox; Another 13 from Le Labo; Magnetic Blend 7, Blessed Baraka and Oud for Greatness from Initio; and finally, because of its choice of Vanilla, it also resembles some salty-vanilla fragrances such as Tero from Nishane. It’s completely unisex, and better suited for cold or mild weather, it can perfectly be worn day or night. Projection is moderate for the first 3 hours becoming intimate but present afterwards, longevity is around 12+ hours. An instant favorite which I’ll be wearing a lot this Christmas season.

A very sophisticated yet also youthful fragrance. Name can be a little misleading, as I thought it was going to be a ingenious ginger esque scent but its more like a dark and unique praline and ginger fragrance that gets better every second it dries down imo. Its not super youthful but doesn't smell extremely sophisticated and old. Honestly one of the best fragrances I have ever smelt and lasts pretty long on my skin. Cap is magnetic, bottle is amazing, presentation good, etc etc.Only big con is the price. Ive never smelt a fragrance to be worth 300 dollars and this unfortunately is also not. If you can somehow find this for under 200, I would instantly buy it. I only could buy it because I had to buy a bottle of man eau fraiche for someone and the duty free had a 30 percent off discount so I ended up getting the eau fraiche for 65 and the gingembre peliltant for around 190. I am very lucky and thankful to have been able to buy this fragrance. Smell: 9.6/10 Longevity:9.5/10 Versatility: 8/10 Age range: Depends on style and situation but prob 16-40 maybe a touch younger depends on person.

Beautiful perfume, can’t deny, but very overpriced, on a market where there is something like Mancera’s Instant Crush or Montale’s Sensual Instinct. Both fairly inexpensive, super long lasting and easily accessible. For those who found Instant Crush or Sensual Instinct too synthetic or too anything offensive to your noses, you might want to check Gingembre Petillant instead. It’s way smoother and has a more natural smelling scent overall, but costs double the price.... The performance is top notch and leans a tiny more on the feminine side. Still consider it unisex, but with a bit of a feminine edge. Me personally, I would not pay 350 euros for a bottle of Gingembre Petillant when I have already Instant Crush in my collection. Would I’d be over the moon happy to own/get gifted a bottle? Absolutely, it’s more elegant, more refined and more feminine than Instant Crush. And the presentation, bottle and everything is just over the top with this Atelier collection from Versace. To sum it up on this, I love everything about Gingembre Petillant besides the price point...

I was heading on holiday to Greece and I purchased my wife a Aqua Di Parma perfume. With the perfume I received a 20% discount code for any additional purchases made that day. I used the discount with the duty free and purchased Amouage Interlude Black Iris. However, the store manager sprayed Versace Gingembre Petillant on a tester strip and mentioned how much she loved it. I met with my family for food and I quickly became obsessed with the most incredible smell which felt like hints of BR540, Versace Eros and Grand Soir. I have over 100 fragrances in my collection, some niche, some designer... yet I truly believe this is the nicest smell I have ever came across. I could not stop sniffing my tester strip, to a stranger it may have seemed really weird haha. I finished my lunch and immediately returned to the store and exchanged my Interlude for Gingembre Petillant. It cost me £220 with the savings which is approximately £100 better than online so I am absolutely over the moon with the purchase.

EDIT: Still loving this Parfum. The paper strip that a sprayed over 5 weeks ago btw still smells. I can’t believe how strong this is. This stays forever. Sprayed one spray on a paper strip and it’s still going strong after almost a week! Similar to Montale’s Arabians Tonka. I love it but not sure if I would get tired of it after a while because of how strong it is.

This was love at first sniff.. soft and sweet but has that very prominent ginger smell, which made this perfume so special! I couldn’t resist the amazing scent it was one of a kind, so I bought it immediately. Turned out to be with a great performance too! Scent: 9 Longevity: 8.5 Sillage: 7

I wouldn’t buy it (or really anything else) for dept store prices, but at a discounter it may be worth it to you. One of my favorites. It lasts a long time. Wore it the other day and could smell it after work. It’s strong to wear but not off putting to those around you.

How does Ginger, White flowers, Vanilla and Praline turn into....Arabians Tonka? Wow! I’m not mad at this though since A.T is in my top 3 fragrances for life. Edit: What is happening? The dry down is all ginger; aromatic full fledged ginger. I looooooooove this!

Compliment getter right here. Amazing fragrance, it has a baccarat DNA with a sensual vanilla note added. Lasts a long time too, the presentation is to die for.

I like that this is a "fresh" spicy scent. The ginger note is done quite well. It's a clear, sharp scent and I think it wears well for a variety of occasions.

I’m not sure if this is a thing but warm sugared ginger cookies through and through. Divine! Will literally last a week in clothes!

Delicious and decadent, I adore this scent.

I have decided to give it a go. Well, it turned to be pleasant enough, not so much Rouge Baccarat as Slava Zaitsev's Velour Gourmand, but Velour Gourmand is better balanced, or a bit of THOO Emerald Green. I am glad that I bought just 10 ml, but 1 would have been enough. Nothing ground breaking, we smelled it all before, one way or another. On my skin there is no ginger, but something sweet and ambroxanic.

I struggled to choose between this and Figue Blanche and went with FB in the end. Recently I bought some samples of Gingembre and have used on myself (female) and my husband. It smells completely different on both of us but I don’t know if I love it as much as I did a couple of years ago. I feel it’s one better suited to autumn and winter.

I got it from Dubai Duty Free last year, I didn’t open it and I forgot that even I have it, until I try to give away some of my perfumes last month, now it’s one of my favorites perfumes, smells like nothing else. About the price I can’t say anything, cuz it’s all about your budget and money you want to spend to smell good or wow good.

Notes Mandarin, Ginger, Cinnamon, Ylang Ylang, Jasmine absolu, & Praline. This reminds me quite a bit of instant crush, but I find myself enjoying Gingembre better. Gingembre is better blended to my nose and it has kind of a milky quality to it. Gingembre is airy, fluffy, and isn’t as spicy as instant crush.

well well, here we go.. closing the year with this magnificent piece of art. I should admit, its not my line of perfume, but I'm very impressed and pleased with it. its a sophisticated, complex and very unique. its about time for Ginger sparkling Overall 9/10

One of the best perfumes I've had the pleasure of sampling lately. Ginger-praline-vanilla goodness, so thick and gooey you can practically taste it in your mouth. If you can afford to splurge on this, by all means, do it.

Amazing opening, warm, lightly spicy, dry, but the drydown is almost unmistakably a lighter version of Initio’s Oud for Happiness.

Does it smell like 540? yes!! But but in different way Personally I like it more performs well and stays on clothes for days 9/10

This reminds me of Instant Crush and Oud for Greatness. Spicy, sweet, airy. It's very pretty but very overpriced.

I rather enjoy this one, it gives me very strong BR540/OFG/Haltane hybrid vibes.

This is not the best scent out there . It just smells like someone who tries too hard and wants to be noticed when they walk around . This is made for a man who tans a tad more than normal and workouts a bit too much shirt is unbuttoned a little to low with dark jeans on clearly with a designer belt on and some type of black shoe with a very obvious girlfriend. Needlessly I can say this isn't for me and I can barely scrub this off I'm panicked over it .... I have never felt this strong about a scent .

I wish I loved it. My bf got it for me as a gift, guess he's been seeing the reviews everywhere. He knows I enjoy Ginger and I really expected to love it however this unfortunately just seems too airy, and very ambroxan-ish with some ginger. I dont get anything else. I will keep on trying but this is currently a disappointment. I will let it sit and hope for the best

Meh, it’s just okay. But I do not smell anything similar to my longtime beloved BR540 by MFK. Like, at all. Longevity is abysmal 30 minutes on my skin. I do like the ginger at the top but that’s about it. Nothing grand like the reviews say before me... Oh well, at least, I tried it!!

What do they smoke in Versace ? This is the third perfume I smell from this collection and its another overpriced dupe, nothing special at all but still a wearable perfume if someone insists to buy it 😅

This is a drier version of Zeta by Morph with less sweetness and sillage. A citrusy, cocoa-powdery and skin scent version of Baccarat Extrait. Nothing to write home about

This is a very very nice smell but I think it's far too similar to mancera instant crush to justify being several hundred dollars more expensive

I just tried a free sample size of this and personally I'm not a fan but it's at least interesting ! Initial spray it reminds me a lot of Chinese herbal medicine shops somehow but it's not very strong. I hate to describe it so simply but it just smells ... old and not in a good way. As it develops it goes from Chinese herbal medicine shop to used bookstore in the East Village. A unique scent but not one I'd find myself reaching for again anytime soon

Blind buy fail! Can barely smell anything, so it for sure doesn’t smell like Baccarat. I returned it so quickly. I lnow someone else who bought and returned it too. Its weak!!!

too much ambroxan :(. Moreso than vanilla rouge

I made the mistake of spraying Gingembre Pétillant on to my skin as the tester strip was tricking me into thinking this was a gourmand gingerbread vanilla cake. As soon as it touched my skin it erupted into a Tobacco Vanille meets Baccarat Rouge 540 Frankenstein’s monster. Everything I despise in sickly-sweet aromachemical Hell came together in Gingembre Pétillant to ambush me in chemical burnt sugar and resinous candy floss torture. I went to find my nearest washroom to scrub this off and 5 frantic soapings later it’s still there! It’s like your friendly neighbour stalker who won’t stop coming at you until you’re utterly doomed. If you love BR540 or the ultra sweet scents that give migraines then you will love this.

Mega synthetic cloying sweetness paired with mega synthetic feeling florals. BR540 is a lot of synthetics too, but is done with at least some skill. This one isn't. In my opinion this smells cheaper than a Mancera fragrance like Instant Crush and even some of the drug store fragrances I've tried. Putting it in a fancy bottle and jacking the price doesn't suddenly make it great. I'm throwing my decant away, it might be the worst example of "high end designer" robbery I've encountered so far.

The Atelier Versace line doesn't get enough love from the community I don't think. The Fragrantica reviews from Gingembre Petillant were extremely harsh and so I decided to try this one myself to see if they were justified. The consensus on the negative side seemed to be that (and bear in mind that the head note here is ginger, the heart is white florals and a little bit of Ambroxin and the base is praline and vanilla....) that this is a cynical, lazy dupe of BR540 and thus not worth anyone's time. Why is it that anything at all with Ambroxin in these days is instantly labeled as a MFK Baccarat clone? So, at the risk of sounding contrarian, I would like to talk a little about how this actually smells. I'm not sure a lot of the Fragrantica reviewers have even smelt this on a tester strip let alone given it some meaningful skin time. As you might expect from the name, the opening is a big blast of a quite pretty ginger running carefree down the road with some white florals, hand in hand and apparently very much in love. The Ambroxin here is evident but nowhere near as strong as in BR540 and has the curious effect of just adding a warm filter over it all. This reminds me of those German films from the 70s where in happy parts with the jaunty music where the characters were delighted to be in love in the happy ending, they put a fuzzy filter over the lens and turned the colours up brighter. Bit obscure, but if you have seen what I mean, you'll know what I mean. That is the effect. The florals are interesting because they are really fragrant and vibrant but not too jasmine-heavy. Like a walk with someone special in a summer garden in Europe somewhere. It really has that vibe. The florals meld with the ginger inseparably, indivisibly. Like the protagonists of some love story film. There is a cinematic feel to this. You might be forgiven for thinking that the pralines and vanilla in the base would make this gourmand or push it too sweet and they don't. They are sweet but so is the ginger and floral love story in the middle. They do the same thing a sandalwood or leather base would do, but in a sweet and calming, anchoring, reassuring kind of way. Gingembre Petillant is a characteristically fine bit of blending from Jordi Fernández, to pretty much nobody's surprise I would think. It drops off to a skin scent for me after about four or five hours but stays on the skin for around twice that long and is an extremely enjoyable, I would say quite sexy skin taint as well. Some in this line are a little challenging but Gingembre Petillante is about as universally wearable as a non-freshie fragrance could or would ever get. It is unisex, leaning slightly feminine but is something I would absolutely wear. Some reviewers have called it decadent but I think that is a feature of the price tag and the lovely, heavy, quite indulgent bottle rather than the juice. I would describe this as sweet, carefree and niche but not a freshie. Strong enough for a night out, sexy enough for a date night but sweet enough to retain mass appeal for casual days and a very safe office wearer to boot. I think its versatility and wearability is - apart from the Ambroxin in the heart - the only thing this has common with MFK's BR540. Three Word Summary - Happily Ever After Scent - 9/10 Drydown - 7/10 Sillage - 7/10 Bottle/packaging - 8/10 Performance - 6/10 37/50

This is really delicious smelling. Yes it’s a derivative of br540 but it’s not the same by any means. I will say this may not be worth adding to your collection if you’re over that dna but I’m obsessed with variants of br540 yet I don’t care for or own the original. My fav in the category is still Trajan and I also love Arabians Tonka, Instant Crush, ect but this is right up there now that I’ve gotten my nose on it. Just wow. The ginger in it sets it apart from the rest and it really comes out in the dry down, just full on aromatic ginger goodness. I love it! Excellent performance too, lasts long and projects well. It’s still projecting from a few sprays on my shirt from the night before. This perfume from Versace is a hidden gem for sure. I’m picking up a full bottle asap.

I agree this is heavy on ambroxan (I imagine that's why people associate this with BR540). I liked the opening, though: sexy ginger that gave me a "clove" vibe. The representative who showed this to me the first time was wearing a black dress (cocktail) for the event. This suited her image so well, I could feel her sexy feminine power. However, it is super loud for me, and I can't pull this off for more than two hours without feeling overwhelmed. I've tried. It turns super sweet and that excess of ambroxan... Well, it's that: excess. If you're the center of attention at every party and enjoy the lights and cameras, this might be for you. Great sillage, it lasts forever! Overpriced.

First, I love this. I may love it more than BR540 because it’s one my husband can actually tolerate (he’s one of those that gets the medicinal/rubber glove vibe from BR540). To me, it’s like if br540 and bond no 9 tribeca had and swaddled it in some soft candied ginger. My skin gives this fragrance a slight nuttiness somewhere - and I love that about it. Performance wise, I get a solid 12 hours of it - and I can smell it on clothes for days after. At one spray, it’s an arms length. At two, you’ve got a decent scent bubble. The heat and humidity make it nuclear and almost too loud for my own personal taste. It’s definitely earned a spot in my top fragrance list!

It is just ridiculous, awful , almost all of the fragrances in the "atelier" line are just dupes/rework of famous scents. Go and test them somewhere and you'll smell only known DNAs for even crazier prices. More than 300$. This one specifically is Baccarat, the Vanille option is Montale, the Santal one is Atkinson , Tobacco is Killian... absolute bullshit of a line. They all smell good but it feels like Givaudan was paid to make a series with popular scents and zero creativity or idea behind them.

Caught my eye amongst the other atelier perfumes. First, it lasts really long. When you first spray it, you can smell a subtle apple note. It develops into a not sharp but comforting warm ginger. The ginger is very nicely balanced with the sweetness from vanilla and freshness of flowers. It is a perfume that is more suitable for cold weather. I can see myself wearing it in autumn and winter seasons.

extremely reminiscent of instant crush. i know br540, sensual instinct and instant crush and it's much more like instant crush. (btw br540 and sensual instinct are far more similar than instant crush is to either) i made the connection the very first moment i smelled it. it's that close.

Gingembre Pétillant ("Sparkling Ginger" in French) smells like saffron, BR540 and vanilla. It is definitely a rework of Baccarat Rouge 540 (Eau de Parfum), but made sweeter, with more vanilla.

Does not smell like BR540 or Trajan, Electimuss. Although there is no incense/myrrh listed, I can smell something like one of those ingredients. On my skin, I don't get any vanilla.

This is what BR540 should have been! What a gorgeous creation! Sweet, spicy, lasts 10+ hours. It’s perfection!
