Iris d'Élite

The fragrance is amazing. Gives off Le Male Le Parfum vibes but higher quality with less projection. The longevity is moderate but the scent itself is good. A sweet, yet mildly spicy fragrance with the iris and amber as the stars of the show. I wouldn't buy this at fill retail but if you can get it for less than $120 in 2024 it's probably worth it. The bottle is beautiful too and the magnetic cap is a nice little cherry on top.

Actual notes: Top: Mandarin yellow, pink pepper CO2, coriander seeds, orris accord, orris butter Heart: Cedarwood, sandalwood, ambergris Base: Orris Germanica Resinoid, benzoin resinoid, tonka bean absolute, vanilla, musk This fragrance goes straight to the base notes, creamy orris/iris tonka scent. Definitely a warm gourmand and not your typical cold blue iris. Lasting power is crazy, this goes for Gingembre Petillant also!

Amazing scent, got on an amazing deal on jomashop. For 119$ I got this iris tonka vanilla scent, over 20 hours longevity and 8+ hours of strong projection. Vanilla is definitely in here idk why its not on the list. 9.6/10

So the reason I'm not hugely excited by this line, It's not only a lack of new ideas (forgivably rare enough these days especially in the mainstream) and the seeming tendency to name something, not with an intent to include a material or accord in the perfume's title and then deliberately subvert expectations, (perhaps in the way Frederic Malle might?) but I believe it's just out of laziness, or a disconnect between the perfumer and the marketers or whatever?. I was surprised initially by how muted the iris was in this perfume, thinking it might be like other high end iris dominant tropes instead it's a nondescript sort of modern, amberish thing. I wasn't that taken with it.

Sweet and really woody. The iris in this is not Lipstick-like. It is rather linear. You can detect all the notes right when you spray it. More masculine-leaning to my nose. Strong sillage and quite long lasting. I feel like I’ve smell this perfume many times before. Reminds me of less complex Mancera Aoud Vanille. Definitely not worth the price tag. Tested from boxed sample

It's ok. I like iris in general which led me to getting a sample spray of this. Nothing spectacular, but nothing bad about it either. it's a nice enough scent but I feel like anything from the gentleman line is way better. This does have simplicity going for it. If I can find the right price I wouldn't mind grabbing a bottle

A rather unidimensional iris, lacking the silkiness and nuance of blending which the likes of Dior and Prada have done so well with their main lines. Overdose of cashmeran gives it a scratchiness that seems to be a signature of Fernandez's style, similar roughness can be found in the likes of Montblanc Explorer and Ex Nihilo The Hedonist. This would be right at home in a Zara collection without anyone batting an eye, hence the asking prices are absolutely unacceptable.

Iris d'Elite ("Iris Of The Elite), by Versace, from the Atelier Versace line, smells like vanilla, amber (that is supposed to smell like benzoin and vanilla) and a cold iris flower. It is a contrasting fragrance regarding it's temperature. Amber and vanilla smell very warm, but iris adds a cold touch. The name of the fragrance is misleading. The iris note is not the star of the perfume, instead, the star is the balsamic resin. The vibe Iris d'Elite gives me, is that of a light Arabic perfume. The warmth and balsamic resins are there, but it is not a heavy scent. It smells intimate and decadent. I really like the scent story of this perfume. I see myself wearing it on a warm evening in a big city. Even though the scent is pleasant, is it worth it 370€? Objectively and definitely no! The scent is nice and likeable, but nothing groundbreaking, unique, or artistic. The price is insane, you would obviously pay mostly for the brand's name. Now, subjectively, if you think this is your signature scent and you want this exact scent, it is your choice to buy it or not. Still, Versace is mocking it's buyers with this kind of price, they know the perfume is not worth so much, and we know it too.

I dont’ know how this is marketed as an Iris fragrance. This is basically 95% amberwoods and other molecules. The opening is very sharp and headache inducing. I only get a bit of cheap quality iris in the background. I found it discounted in Duty Free for 120$ (which is an overkill for what it is). This smells like a 20$ clone of Prada Infusions d’ Iris.

This goes Ambery on my skin . The Amber almost chocking the iris to death. If you are thinking this is Dior Homme intense or Parfum iris, then don’t buy this. It is a nice fragrance for the cold weather, but nothing groundbreaking. It is good I bought a tester for only 99 dollars .

Smells kind of like JPG Le Parfum's opening. The iris and other notes seem to be a bit more intense and stronger the JPG, but I probably won't be spending the high price tag for it when I already have JPG.

Probably my favorite from this line, but too similar to Armani Cuir Zarzura. Still might add it to my collection at some point. Price is very good at around $110

Honestly to me it smells like a niche version of Dylan blue, an older brother if I can say. For a more person, doesn’t justify that price tag though

Just a sweet ambery iris. Nothing earth shattering or original in the least. It's very nice. But I don't see the point of it. Spare your coins!

Goes very ambery on my skin. It’s blended nice with the Iris. My first impressions on skin is that it’s nice, but i wasn’t blown away.

To my nose, this has a very strong & overpowering pepper note! It takes this fragrance in a very masculine direction!

Tonka iris... I think it could be violets not iris but gives an iris vibe. This is beautiful, smooth & amberic.

Today its in 50% discount in bloomiingdale.. still thinking should i get it.
