Versace Pour Femme Dylan Purple

This perfume is a perfect soapy fresh out of the shower after using a yummy fruity shampoo smell, more than any other scent ever. I really like it and I'm usually a vanilla gourmand kind of girl. I'm picky about my fresh scents I usually only like very straight forward citrusy ones and really struggle with about 98% of floral scents. Even when I like a floral perfume it can make me nauseous or give me a headache but the floral notes in this are soft, fresh, airy and delightfully sweet, like a light perfect clean linen vibe. This is probably my favourite out of all the fruity/clean scents I have ever smelt. A lot of perfumes have a pear note that you can barely smell but this one really delivers on it right out of the gate. I definitely get a citrus and bergamot note but not so much bitter orange, it's more of a juicy mandarin orange to me. The fruity top notes notes fade but they are still there the whole time. Then you get some orange blossom and a very light actually somehow likeable freesia. As it dries down you get more of all the soapy notes which are so good, you get soapy all the way through but it especially comes out after about 20-30 minutes. The combination of clean soapy notes are honestly genius and it makes you want to keep smelling it. I don't really get any woody notes at any point and I'm okay with that. Often a perfume like this would have patchouli and/or sandalwood added for longevity and fewer soapy notes and even though they would make it last longer. I appreciate that they didn't go in that direction because imo it's a very hard combination to balance and pull off right and it is so incredibly overdone. I also like that it's not really powdery because that can be very overpowering. The longevity and sillage are on the lower side, it probably lasts about 2 hours on skin and 4-5 on hair and clothes before it becomes a barely there scent but it is so good I don't mind and it isn't so pricey that you can't reapply if needed. It's definitely not a walking around in an inescapable bubble kind of perfume, it's pretty intimate but you do get wonderful whiffs of it here and there. I haven't had a chance to wear it around others much so not sure what they would be smelling but I know the scent is extremely likeable, definitely a crowd pleaser. I would say it's a very a safe blind buy and perfect for an office setting. It is really an anytime kind of scent because it just smells like freshly cleaned hair but I would say it would preform better in warmer weather and is more of a daytime vibe.

Ah, Dylan Purple, the beauty that you are... Whenever I wear this scent, I’m immediately transported to the southern coast of Italy. I’m freshly showered and wearing a white t-shirt drinking a lemonade on a balcony overlooking the Adriatic sea. I’m surrounded by lemon trees and flowers. Dylan Purple is everything D&G Light Blue wishes it was. The marketing of this scent doesn’t quite make sense to me because if I were to put a color to it, I’d call it Dylan Green Apple. The opening smells exactly like biting into a fresh, tart granny smith apple. It’s an extremely realistic apple and not artificial. From there, I get sweet Amalfi lemon, which keeps the fragrance just sweet enough to not smell sour or sharp (one of Light Blue’s major flaws). The dry down is a beautiful, light citrus musk. I have no idea where the purple comes in because none of the notes are purple. I would equate the performance of this scent to your average EDT, which is unfortunate because it’s marketed as an EDP. I spray about 6 times to get my desired performance. I find Dylan Purple exudes youth while remaining incredibly grounded. I could see a teenager and my grandma wearing this scent, and it wouldn’t feel inappropriate for either age group. It’s just such a well rounded fragrance. All in all, I just finished up my 1.7 Oz bottle and I’m immediately purchasing my next one. I can’t imagine a summer without this scent in my collection.

Mmmmmm this is the juiciest, cleanest skin scent you could ever dream of! It’s SO fresh and a little fruity, depending on the weather, and so it’s just a wonderful office, gym or food service scent as a result. When I first smelled this at the counter my brain lit up with intrigue and joy, as I had never smelled anything like this before and it was an immediate “YES!” for me. It’s almost pheromonal, and in my opinion, definitely Unisex. It is a tad shampooey, just a tad, in an exquisite way. The pear and bergamot together just work magic on my skin. Those are 2 notes I absolutely love but find that many perfumers struggle to formulate them well. Versace really outdid themselves with this juicy, clean, freshly-showered scent. A year later my bottle just keeps getting better and better and whenever I spray this perfume I still get such a dopamine hit, which no other fragrance has ever given me before. Versace fragrances tend to agree with me and this one is just happiness in a bottle. I do wish it lasted a little longer but the good news is you can’t overdue the spraying. So go heavy and enjoy the fruity mist. Best in warm weather for sure.

This is the perfume that made me realize I actually do like fresh and fruity scents, and expanded my tastes significantly as a result. Before this I really only reached for sweet vanilla, strawberry, pistachio, almond, or gourmand scents, and this is so so different from anything else I wore before it, but I love it so much. It smells exactly like shampoo. That’s the clearest comparison I can make, and it’s a compliment. It smells so fresh and clean, but also cozy, like taking a shower after a long day and settling into clean sheets. I definitely understand it being used as a daytime scent because it’s so fresh and clean, but honestly I feel like I personally associate it more with the nighttime, if only because I shower and wash my hair in the evenings. Longevity is also kind of insane for being such a fresh, lightweight scent. I sprayed this last night just above my wrists, and in the afternoon of the next day I’m still catching wafts of it when I move my arms, which is especially impressive because I wash my hands a lot, so fragrance doesn’t typically last super long on my wrists.

If I had to pick a signature scent for myself it would be Dylan Purple. The scent is a near-exact match for L’Oreal Elvive hair products, which is what I use in the shower and I love the scent of that line so much. I can understand why people think this perfume isn’t noteworthy, as it’s nothing groundbreaking, but I personally love a shampooey/clean fragrance. It makes me feel uplifted and put together. There’s something about this one that gives me such a confidence boost! The projection and longevity are modest, but it works so well as an everyday scent. I’m gonna need to invest in a larger bottle! EDIT: I bought the Dylan Purple perfume oil from FragrantBodyOilz and it’s an exact match, and on top of that, the longevity and projection are 10/10! For $14, the roll-on oil from FBO is an absolute steal, and the original Versace is suuuuper weak in comparison. Save your money and get the dupe, you’ll thank me later!

It’s not heavy or deep it's not complicated either, but its airy charm makes it memorable in a delicate, elegant way.

I really debated between Dylan Purple and Dylan Turquoise but upon purchase time, Purple won me over. It's fresh, it's light, airy, and fantastic. First 10 minutes is very aldehydic or ozonic (I'll be honest, it's also a little alcoholic as well but that goes away pretty quickly ~30 seconds) which stays throughout the experience. This then evokes a richer pear with a slight undertone of orange zest. As it dries, the freesia comes out and is the strongest of the notes, but it still remains lighthearted and fun, giving it a super feminine elegance. And it's not cloying as the rest of the notes balances the freesia out. The base is a really pretty musky, skin scent. It smells like I just took a shower whenever I get a whiff. It's one of my absolute favorites in my collection. I will eventually purchase Dylan Turquoise as well but yeah, Purple won me over!

This is soooo good. I've been searching for a juicy, shampoo/conditioner scent and this is it. I kept coming across shampoo scents that were more on the fresh side and craved something more fruity like a Garnier Fructis scent, now I'm so glad I've now found it! Yes it doesn't last as long as I would've hoped, but I spray my clothes and find that it lasts much much longer. Sometimes I even wear it to bed it's so beautiful. I think no matter what season it is, you can never go wrong with smelling fresh, fruity and clean like you just hopped out of the shower and used the best smelling products. I love pear in absolutely any perfume so if you do too, this is a safe blind buy. If you genuinely like a sweet and fruity shampoo scent in general, you will also love this one.

This fragrance is sheer perfection. Smells bright, fresh and interesting the second it goes on, and develops beautifully on the skin. Light, subtle, gorgeous at every stage of wear- had me sniffing my wrist for another fragrance hit hours after first trying it on. Couldn't stop mooning over it and had to rush out and buy a bottle the next day. The fragrance notes ring true, with the bitter orange and cedar coming to the fore most strongly on my skin. The fragrance stays close to the body but if someone leans in for a hug I get 'what are you wearing- you smell amazing!!'. So it's nice to know I'm not whacking everyone around me in the face with a cloying aroma cloud. Hands down, my favourite new release perfume in a long time and now my new signature scent. Divine!

It’s the perfect blend of juicy pear, crisp bitter orange, and soft freesia resting on a silky, skin-scented woody base. To me, it smells like how a pretty woman should smell at the peak of summer: light, fresh, feminine, subtly floral, delicious, and effortlessly airy. This scent has that irresistible fresh-out-of-the-shower—but BETTER feeling that is so intoxicating during hot weather. Even with an extensive fragrance collection, this is one of my automatic, no-thought-needed reaches on sunny spring and summer days. It just feels effortlessly right. I’m also one of those lucky people whose skin chemistry really agrees with Versace’s fragrance DNA. I get consistent longevity and a beautiful scent trail without it ever feeling heavy, cloying, or overly sweet.

I have bought a second bottle and I will be purchasing one more once this one's up. This perfume is giving: - A freshly showered person using their luxury shower cream - I'm beautiful, rich and happy with my life - I'm ready for an event but also down for a party - I have money and I'm not shy about spending it TONIGHT - I'm open to everything - I know people will have a crush on me - Flirty yet not trying too hard - "I'm cute but not easy to get" vibes - Young but not immature. It's the youth in the soul. :) It's both feminine and unisex depending on your vibes and how you dress to create that over look and feel. It's versatile, not offensive but still unique. It's literally for the free spirits out there who still wanna smell rich and sexy.

Got this today and wore it to class, I agree with most comments about the bad longevity, and it was quite strong for about an hour, then light projection for another hour or two. Such a beautiful scent, super fruity and summery, really smooth sweet pear opening, I feel some citrus and freesia in there, definitely gives the fresh out of the shower feel. Ultimately it smells fantastic and the bottle is beautiful, so I consider it a win. I’m undoubtedly gonna run through this over the summer. Also I know they aren’t supposed to be dupes or anything but this is what I so badly wanted Kirke or Erba Pura to smell like from reading the notes.

I fell in love with this fragrance over a year ago after receiving a sample in a magazine. I promptly tore all the samples out of the magazines I had and savoured them since the price of a bottle was rather high for a fragrance people said did not last very long. Eventually, I got my hands on the gift set (thanks mum and dad) and I can honestly say that this is my favourite fragrance. It is very clean and fresh but still unique and just gives off freshly-showered it girl. I found that it has a moderate sillage for about 3 hours, then it becomes a more intimate scent which lasts, for me, about 9-12 ish hours. 10/10 for me.

So delicious and perfect, one of the fruity gourmands that I wish I could literally drink. The pear and bitter orange make for such an addicting citrusy note and the freesia keeps it light and elegant. The Iso E Super gives it a cozy and warm dry down. The cedarwood gives it “designer cleaning product” vibes. Fresh, sweet, salty, bold, purple. Very purple. This is how I would imagine a magic purple gummy worm to taste like. This is one of those fragrances that is impossible to forget and disturbingly accurate to its name. Not a safe blind buy but if you’re a bergamot and woods lover this is perfect for you.

There is some uncanny but addictive otherworldly component in this that I cannot exactly pinpoint, might be the combo of a familiar shampoo smell and various synthetics, I don't know but I love it. 100% smells like Suave Kids double dutch apple detangler spray, you know the one with the purple octopus on it. Also reminds me of an elementary school friend's mom that one time you go over their house and play in their newly finished basement. Hyper fruity femme purple Juicy Juice, foam puzzle piece mats, & the trail of some baddie with fried straightened hair lol.

I LOVE this scent! Such a perfect mix of fruity and savoury. On clothing it's very shampoo-y (in a good way) but it seems to work really well with my skin, drying down into a sweet and fruity mix with just the right amount of depth. Like a sugared pear! The only downside is it's quite weak. After about 4 hours I can't smell it on my skin at all, even right up to my nose. It has almost no sillage, it's quite intimate (which has its place). The longevity is what I'd love to see improved because the scent is incredible.

I definitely get the pear, but it's not overpowering like other pear fragrances I've tried. Reminds me of getting out of the shower-- clean, fresh, fruity and citrusy. A wonderful scent, blind-buy safe if you love the notes. The longevity shocked me, as I put it on in the afternoon, slept 14 hours (don't judge me), and could still smell it upon waking. Silage is good too. I highly recommend giving this one a try. It's not too expensive compared to other Versace perfumes, but I am on the hunt for a cheaper clone.

This is SUCH a good juicy shampoo scent. Light, airy & fruity sweet with clean woods. The only thing that’s keeps me from buying a bottle of this is that I must go nose blind to this really fast. I can’t smell it at all after an hour. I ask those around me if they can smell it & they’ve told me yes but it’s very faint & light. If this were stronger it would be in my top ten for sure. If you like wearing perfume to the gym, this would be perfect for that.

Happiness and joy in a bottle. Somehow it smells youthful and mature all at once. It's rare for me to find a perfume that smells good through all the stages and that actually smells good on my skin. It's one of those, "What is that good smell, oh, it's me" fragrances. I am not good at describing notes in perfume, but it starts out tart and fruity and in the end is sweet(vanilla?)and possibly woody. It's beautiful.
