V/S Versus

I come here often to check the comments, to see if anyone has found THE ONE to replace this fabulous perfume. I never thought I'd be the one to be the bearer of the best news ever... I found it!!! The same old, glorious and one of a kind V/S in oil form! I found a company that sells Dunhill Desire for Woman inspired perfume oil and since it's been suggested that it smelled pretty similar to V/S, contemplated ordering a sample. Anticipating that I'd get zero search results from the website's search bar I typed V/S and to my surprise got a hit! "V/S Pure Perfume". My thoughts: too good to be true but what the heck! Let's order samples for Desire and V/S! Today I received both samples. I opened the little V/S vial, sniffed at it - it kind of smelled like it, so I applied to the inside of my elbow. As soon as the oil glided over my skin there it was, V/S in its former glory (I've got a couple of bottles of the original perfume and it has started to go off a bit) with the citrus, the flowers and the spicy wood! I immediately ran to grab my phone and ordered a FB of the oil. Trust me, it's V/S found again. I have never smelled Desire for a Woman before so can't say if it smells the same as the original but from the sample I can understand why people find it similar to V/S although, to me, not exactly the same. It is very good though! Please know beforehand that the oils are not cheap, 140 usd for a 1 oz bottle but I did not blink once before completing this purchase. I've spent so much money trying to find a replacement for this and now I can put my wallet to rest and start saving some money! I hope this recommendation brings your search to an end. I was stopped in my tracks today - after @pixie_and_the_notes posted that Gucci Rush reminded her of a "plasticy" somehow synthetic, modern version of mitsouko (which I love), I had to try it (didn't know Rush until today) - and then it happened: it felt like coming home. I found V/S again! At least for my nose... I still have an old bottle of V/S Versace and sprayed it on my other arm. Gucci Rush is less citrusy, yes. And after wearing it for 3 hours now I get this "milky thing" many mention. But still: there is a huge resemblance. Enough to make me buy a small bottle of Rush now...

I have been constantly looking for something similar for many years. I don't give up 😎 I have tried many scents from the "similar" section and many thumbs down are mine 😂 I have had one scent for a few days that surprised me with its similarity, because the notes are very different. And it is Sex-Sea Lorenzo Pazzaglia. The first spray and that's it! Later the scent has aquatic notes, which are not in V/S and then comes the drydown and it is a return to the past and this is V/S in all its glory 🩷🩷🩷

There used to be a deo spray for men named HIZ in the early nineties - black with colourful (mainly pink and yellow graffitti letters on it) which was similar to v/s, but I don't think it exists anymore and I don't remember the producer. I once gave it to my dad and I really loved the smell, so I was really happy to get to know V/S some years later! And now they're both gone:'(

This is one of THE GREATEST perfume I've ever had! I wore it to a party and went to bed soon as i got home without taking a shower, and i could still smell this perfume on my pillow and blanket for the next 2 days! It's so original, smells like no other. I get a lot of compliments when I wear this. Too bad I can't find it anywhere in my country since it already discontinued.

After so many years I still love this perfume. I am not the person that likes to change fragrance often and this fragrance was like my signature. And I got so many compliments from men and women. I still hope that some day I will find again. I don't understand why they discontinued such an amazing fragrance. Bring it back to market!!!

I recently found similar fragrance that I enjoy more than Hermes Elixir des Merveilles. Agent Provocateur Blue silk has similar fizzy cola accord to my nose and with my chemistry. They also share jasmine, orange, cinnamon and musk in common. And you can get AP bottle for about $25!

This is the female version of Egoiste Chanel! The tops are just intoxicating. Cinnamon, mandarin, vanilla, floral, almost fruity. So yummy you want to stroke your arm against your nose and both eyes closed. One of the best from Versace ever! Rate: 9.1/10.0 Mr. Almond

My absolut favourite one! So different and amazing, i do love sooo much this fragrance, for me it's impossible to find a good substitute...i need to find it one more time!! Endless love!

Wow! Love it! It's like a lighter Coca Cola version of Dolce Vita- but leans more towards Sprite.

It's wonderfull...so spicy and irreverent! Unfortnatelly, disapeared.

I loved this V/S! but unfortunately, i couldn't find it anymore.. :(

For those who are looking for a replacement: Elixir des Merveilles by Hermes I just bought this and knew I have had a similar perfume like this before, took me a day before it crossed my mind: V/S versus for women by Versace. I had this years ago and it was a unique scent, not sold anymore. Try Elixir des merveilles and you won't be searching anymore ;)

never a replacement for this! Luckily I have two bottles of this truly magnificent, discontinued perfume. I love the seesaw motion between citrus and woods - musk and floral. it's an ultra feminine and sexy, one of a kind scent that I refuse to replace. I will always and forever keep this one

I really liked it! Its a really fresh perfume, definitely citrus-y but not too sour...I used it years ago, I love how perfumes have the power to remind you of a specific time in your life, too bad I can never find it again :(

Just got my mini today which included the men's Versus. I really like this!! It smells fresh and feminine and I love the cedar. My skin is really picking up the cedar and orange. Love it and glad I got my hands on some!
