Dimanche Flemme

Wow, this one is a bit different, but it it SUCH a light, fresh, airy scent! The name 'Lazy Sunday' is pretty much spot on, it is the perfect, happy chill fragrance! I originally applied this without checking the notes. I got fresh, citrus, a little herbal, a touch of sweetness, but it was really lightly done .. I really couldn't work it out at all, but when I checked the note breakdown, everything I picked out was at the heart of the notes. Basically, the profile breakdown looks a little unconventional, but it just totally works! Totally unisex, would smell great on a guy too! I whole heartedly recommend checking this one out!! Footnote: Yes it yet another one called Lazy Sunday (albeit in French), but don't assume this is like Margiela's Lazy Sunday Morning, it is not at all

GREEN! GREEN! GREEN! GREEN! Really sharp in the opening. I honestly really like it still, but thankfully some of that sharpness does eventually go away, otherwise I think even as much as I like it, I'd get a headache. It settles into a slightly spicy green that is really great. It stays really green on the blotter. It's my second favourite of the lot. Versatile Paris is killing it.

I adore basil. This is mouth-watering and tangy. It's probably the best for spring/summer, after you've showered. Maybe you were swimming the whole day and you're getting ready for dinner, while starving, dehydrated and craving liters of water and fresh vegetables. It becomes a little bit spicy after a while.

Fresh basil, very herby, and a touch sweet! I was given a sample and I really like this one a lot. Sweet green garden vibes.

To me Dimance Flemme smells exactly like the first few seconds when you've walked into a flower shop

Sampling Versatile Paris Dimanche Flemme, a sort of milky, green, fresh, semi-sweet blend of cardamom, pea, basil, citruses, almond milk, musk, heliotrope, and vanilla, a highly unique milky nutty almost figgy blend that I find a bit difficult to specifically describe, though it’s quite interesting and fairly unique. Not something that I’d immediately reach for, myself, but something that’s an intriguing wear and adds diversity to the house. There’s also a bit of mintiness to it that, while adding a bit of sophistication, makes it a little less inviting, but more nuanced and idiosyncratic. Like the rest of the line, Dimanche Flemme is priced at $50 for 15ml, in extrait concentration with rollerball application, sold by boutiques like Ministry of Scent, from which I bought my discovery set. 7 out of 10

I can’t believe no one has mentioned the icebox smell from this! The opening notes are like u wrapping an icy popsicle with a vague fruity sweetness. I imagine the cold smell would be amazing in hotter weather. It dries down to be a fairly light fresh almonds scent a little bit similar to Burberry Brit. I really like it but unfortunately this disappears too quickly and is only ever a light scent even on initial application. Sea Sud Sun, Rital Date, and le Foncedalle are stronger and longer lasting.

now THIS is a green scent. the basil and citrus dance nicely. this is a fresh earthiness that you actually want to smell like and feels natural on the body. as the name implies, it’s great to throw on a casual sunny day or as a nice pick me up in the winter. i wish it lasted longer, but that is the case with a lot of this DNA.

First hour is lemony basil, almost a piney scent, with a tiny bitter spice that I think is the cardamom. Almost carbonated effect. Sweetens and mellows into lactonic vanilla almond that’s soft and clean with an herbaceous quality, which I prefer to the opening. Warmed by the musk. Good for warm nights and cool, rainy days.

It starts with a very strong basil scent then turns into a milky almondy scent which i find so comforting. Out of all this one has the weakest longevity unfortunately. Stays more close to the skin but very pleasant.

Fresh, green opening with a dominant note of crisp basil. It quickly settles close to the skin, where it lingers for a few hours. A joyful scent straight from a sunlit garden.

I love this one so much, but sadly it doesn’t last on my skin, after two hours it’s gone

Smells like Thai green curry takeout, and not necessarily in a bad way!

Dimanche Flemme sticks out among the rest of the Versåtile range, for the simple fact it pushes the definition of ‘gourmand’ to the boundary, questioning is it even really a gourmand? I would argue no, it’s more of an aromatic - a surprisingly nice one at that. Basil is front and centre here - a sharp greenness with a subtle fresh spicy nuance is made slightly bitter through the inclusion of lime and galbanum. The zesty citric element is complemented by a sweet, almond-like nuttiness. It doesn’t come across as edible, but that’s not a bad thing. It’s a scent I can get along with, but not one I would find myself craving, nor will I particularly miss it once my sample runs out. It’s a pleasant fragrance but I don’t find it memorable.

basically green, raw vegetables. it opens like a bowl of peas sitting by the kitchen sink, submerged in water. basil's being chopped on the side. there's something that makes this a bit stinky too, but it's tentatively masked by citrus juice in the opening. though rather harsh upon first application, this scent eventually smoothes out and becomes creamier as milkiness and vanilla appear. but the funk is still there. overall, not a favorite from this house.

I adore the juicy pea, green and gentle. Lactonic almonds and sorbet aroma is in harmony. Cardamom with a noble bitternes, makes the scent spicy. Velvety is almost touchable. If it weren't the sharp green opening, that reminds me more of nettle than basil, the scent would be truly exceptional.

Am i the only one who smells a type of incense powder? Its really off putting but works fine when you feel certain emotions/are in a rather sad but acceptable time

Well, definitely not boring and you have to give this house credit for new ideas. Mostly basil and pea, something smoky here, too.

This perfume is so unusual and beautiful. It is essentially a powdery green aromatic perfume that is very centering and calming. It is nothing like NO 19. It is green and uplifting, slightly sweet and lactonic and cosy. It is what I wanted Domain Promis would be, but that too sharp. This on tye other hand would be a perfect meditation perfume, or any other occasion for that matter. I have only one quibble- which is that it wears very close to the skin. I have a back-up bottle- delicious!
