Charm

So the story goes as such. When I was a kid in the early 2000, my relative wore Dior Addict 2002. Clearly as a child, I only remembered the sweetness of the smell of that perfume and had no recollection of the name of what the bottle looked like. As the years have passed, I was never able to find what perfume that was (Mind you I've sampled today's Dior Addict, and I didn't like it at all.). Till 3 days ago where on my way home, I got a waft of THAT scent while I was waiting for the metro to arrive. I had to figure out, where it was coming from, and who was wearing it. Like a hound sniffing the fox out, I started sniffing the air around me, pinpointing where that sultry, sweet mysteriously sexy aroma was coming from. I laid my eyes on the potential wearers. a group of women to the right of me around 2 meters away, or a single woman to my right around the same distance away. I closed my eyes and waited for the next draft of air to tell me where I should go. It was the woman to my left. I strategically followed her into the metro cart and waited patiently as a seat freed up next to her. Two stops later while my anxiety was getting the better of me, hoping/praying she wouldn't get off before I had the chance to ask her, a seat was vacant next to her. I grabbed my chance. While sitting right next to this woman, realizing finally this is the moment I've been longing for the past 24 years, I turned around and asked her. "Please you have to let me know, what the name of the perfume is. It's gorgeous" to which she replied "Oh why thank you so much," my eyes grew wide with anticipation she continued, "It's a spot-on reformulation of a cologne I wore in my teens named Dior Addict. The new one does not smell like the old one. This is called Charm by a perfume company named Verset. It's a bargain, you can find it at most drugstores.." She got off two stops later after I thanked her immensely. I went home and ordered it in a heartbeat. I just received my parcel and I've happily sprayed myself all over. I've already received a HECK ton compliments. Longevity I'll say is ginormous. On my skin, I can get an 8-hour wear easily. On clothes, the scent lasts well into the next day. Value for price I would say 10/10 Performance - A BEAST Just be careful as with most vanilla based fragrances (dupes or originals) DO NOT spray on white or light color clothing as it can stain red/purple/burgundy (depending on how much vanilla is in it)

I would like to add my bit of a thrill! Although I've never believed these copy-cat companies, after stumbling on Verset I was pulled here to find out if it's even listed here. And when I read all, I ordered those small versions of Charm (I had a sample of Addict long time ago and love it, but not so much to spend such money for it and also my nose was not so experienced that time) and Preziose, which should be the YSL Libre copy and that I tried and like. Right after unpacking it (the packaging and bottles are soo nice for cheapies!!!) I sprayed Charm on my arm and OH MY GOD! It is soo good! For all Dior lovers (and I am) who don't have/want to spend such money I say GO FOR IT! Regarding the Libre, it comes on me a bit sharper, louder, not so round as Libre did, but as time goes on, it actually has some progress. It's probably not going to be my cup of coffee. But I will try other Versets for sure, it's georgeous! edit: although mine juice is already turning darker, I tried on white scarf and it's not stained it.

Stupendously good. I had an original release Dior Addict I sold reluctantly as I was hardly wearing it. Then I had a craving to smell it again and so I did some research and came across Verset, which I previously noticed was sold at a local chemist. I can confirm that this smells exactly like the vintage formula. What a hidden gem. Another one to try from Verset is Rouge (hypnotic poison dupe). I managed to find a small bottle of Dana which smells like Teint de Neige (so really good), but I believe it’s been discontinued. My next on the list to try is Vivian, which is a dupe of Narciso by Narciso Rodriguez (square/cube bottle). Really enjoying Verset and I’m definitely going to get a larger bottle of Charm and Rouge.

Absolutely agree with @elledeelee and the reviews below. Hey, I got a hay note as well but it fades away thankfully. And the juice was not purely yellow when I got it, in fact, my bottle starts to get more orange/red as I realized - I think it's because of the vanilla (I have some old fragrances in my collection that are still wonderful but 'developed' a deep color over time). This is an absolutely amazing fragrance, I'm stunned because I've never smelt a fragrance so similar to Dior Addict (I'm wearing the latest version of DA edp, 2014, most days though). If you love any version of DA, you will love this fragrance and the price is thrillingly sensational.

Oooh, Dior Addict vintage. That's what this is!! I'm so thrilled with it and the price is a steal! I adore Dior addict (OG) it was on heavy rotation for me back in the day. I'm not a big fan of classic-green frags, but its green in the BEST possible way. It gives me fern, kind of pine tree green, oh I can't explain, it's just divine! Charm has delivered an excellent dupe of the original and best Dior Addict, but it isn't the powerhouse that Addict used to be, nor does it last half as long. But for the price.... Who cares! Love it!
