Nela

Nela is an absolute delight. It literally cost £5 from a pharmacy. I am not usually a rose lover and the Initial spray was a little floral heavy but within 10 minutes it dried down to the most creamy, well blended rose I’ve ever tried. It projects beautifully and I could still smell it on my skin the next day. I’ve had so many compliments while wearing it. Toss all your other Delina dupes, you won’t find one as good as this 🙂

Rich rose, sweetened by litchi, bright rhubarb; a sheer version of Dahaab Saafi Bait Al Bakhoor which would be the intense night time sister. Log lasting, smooth. Does not smell as sharp and challenging as either La Rive Poetique or Morabito Extra Rose, which are also supposed to be Delina dupes. I like this one best.

I got 50ml for £20 at my local pharmacy. I am really enjoying this purfume! It is a delightful clean and light floral scent, I reguarly get compliments on it - I cant imagine anyone hating it! It is my go to for regular mundane days like work or going shopping, where I just want to smell nice without needing to match a specific vibe or occasion. Its more of a day time fragrance, but also works nicely for a casual night. The projection and intensity is very reasonable, and in a way that makes it inoffensive and mindful of peope around you while still being there. It lasts for a good amount of time given the price, and it is almost impossible to overspray it so I often top it up once or twice during the day. While I love some other specific purfume scents more than this one, given how pleasant and enjoyable this scent is, and with the nature of the projection and intensity for casual events, it has become my go to purfume for most days! I really recommend trying it out.

It’s been a while since I smelled Delina but its DNA is very common now - people love a good thing! Delina, for me, has a strong lychee note which I find can be headachy. However, I don’t get this with Nela - it’s like a blast of bergamot, then rose, then lychee in third place. In fact, when I first sprayed it, I had to look up what it was a dupe for because I didn’t recognise the profile. It does settle to become more Delina-like. This isn’t an issue for me - this is a lovely perfume for a great price. I plan to take it on my next holiday and spray it with abandon in the sunshine!
