One of the best and most luxurious evening scents; this is perfect (in moderation - it’s very strong. If you’re going to be in a confined space I recommend now more than 3 sprays) for a fancy evening event, a wedding, some gala etc. It’s where I use it the most often. It’s probably too strong for a lot of daytime activities, unless it’s the middle of winter and you apply literally one spray - it’s enough. Every time I wear it, I get tons of compliments and questions about what I’m wearing. People really seem to love this one. I would say it leans masculine, but women can totally pull it off - my wife loved it so much on me that I got her her own bottle for her birthday. It’s the perfect scent for when you want to feel confident and powerful, it really complements the entire ensemble when wearing a good suit, a nice classy watch, the whole spiel. It suits that vibe, I think wearing this in sweatpants or joggers with a puffer jacket would be really out of place, like you borrowed your dad’s perfume. It’s definitely a grown up scent, mostly would recommend to the 30+ audience. It could be “office” safe in the specific case that you are literally the CEO or board member of a big company and suited up for a big meeting, but once again, in that case just one spray or it will come across as too much. I wear this sometimes for work when I have a big important meeting, and need to feel extra confident and powerful. It really gives off a “boss” energy for sure. I first got this at a niche fragrance shop in-person years ago now, loved it so much I got it on the spot and overpaid like crazy - but it still ended up being worth it. These days you can sometimes find it on discounters for a third of the price I paid, but honestly it would even be worth double what I paid. One of the all time greats, and very unknown. People talk about Baraonda and Kutay, but never mention this, and I think this clears both in every way, especially at the discounted price.

I received a sample of this and had never heard of it. I decided to spray it on paper and was impressed at its quality, so I proceeded try it on skin. I had no idea of the price point of the juice or any of its notes. I quickly picked up on a rich and dark leather note. It seemed like a very well done niche quality animalic type of men's fragrance. Shortly after the opening notes, the rose and patchouli appeared and the fragrance began to morph into a more masculine but still gorgeous version of one of my favorites, Kayali Elixir, 11, which I believe may now be discontinued. This is fantastic! Bengal is earthy and mysterious...unisex, but unless you're a woman who is comfortable in rich, dark scents that straddle the gender divide, you may find it a bit too masculine. I personally would wear this, for me, when I'm in the mood for Kayali Elixir, which is getting difficult to find. I realize this has a higher price point, but at least it's obtainable and not discontinued. It's very smooth, rich and high quality. It seems that a little would go a long way.

Amazing leather fragrance. The davana creates a slightly herbal accord which is softened by citrus creating a profile that commands presence. I do not get the same scent profile as Baronda, Kutay or Blue Oud (have all of them) and this is distinctly a leather fragrance. Great performance and above average silage. Evening wear and masculine leaning. Shukran Habibi!

Baraonda for a more "experienced" nose. Love both, but when I feel like having something a bit more funkier I will go with this one. Not a blind buy, but one of the best kept secrets out there. Don't get it, as I don't want the price to go up.

I am shocked that you are writing about fragrance here. it's a smoky, leathery fruity fragrance, with prunes at the start. what unwashed dogs ), chemicals, peanuts))))) . sory, either you are idiots or your imagination is too perverted 🤣🤣🤣

i have both so i can say this is the missing brother of baraonda smells so similar potent stuff here, great for cold seasons, unique and beast mode frag so affordable at discounters bottle worthy for collection

Bengal gave me what I was expecting from at least one of the Tom Ford Ombre Leathers, none of which delivered. Bengal opens with a strong, green and herby scent which is the davana up front. As the leather begins to slowly appear, mixing with the davana, the scent has subtle whiffs of hot tar or asphalt. Doesn't sound too good, but a little patience goes a long way. The davana gradually recedes as a beautiful rose note appears. The rose brightens the mix up a bit and adds some flowery sweetness. The balance shifts again in favor of the leather which starts to take on a smoother and creamier aspect. I'm guessing that's the contribution of the amber, sandalwood and vanilla along with a shift or addition of suede to the leather. The blend is excellent as I cannot pick out amber, sandalwood or vanilla. The sweetness has also diminished after the rose phase. What I was left with was a beautiful smooth, creamy - almost buttery leather scent without any fruity or floral notes. It's this scent that remained for the rest of Bengal's life. At no point did Bengal have an animalic aspect. Totally clean. The evolution as Bengal dried down was a very interesting experience. I compared this directly to Kutay sprayed on my wrist. They are quite different. Very good longevity. The next morning, about 22 hours after application, Bengal was still going strong as a strong skin scent and provided a compact projection bubble around me. Initial projection after application was very good being quite the beast mode fragrance. For such a great leather scent, I find it kinda amazing at how under the radar Bengal is. I really want to pick up a bottle of this baby.

In its initial moments I am overwhelmed with heavy visions of hair salons (toning/bleaching chemicals, hairspray, powders, cleaning solution) and warehouses (cardboard, packing peanuts, tape gun accords). I will say to its benefit it is so well blended that the ingredients fuse together to make such vivid recollections of the aforementioned spaces. If you have had any experience in either warehousing or hair salon-ing you will feel right at home, so much so that if you close your eyes you can almost feel the sensation of being there! This should be a maison margelia replica fragrance called beauty supply fulfillment center.. I can’t say I dislike the fragrance despite industrial chemical accords, it’s almost nostalgic. I could see this be a cult following for a manufacturing and distribution saavy crowd (???). Dry down gives visions of leather and pool toys... I cannot elaborate further...

Animalic, spicy, leathery. Damp smoke surrounded by the exoticism of a dense forest. I find similarity with African leather from Memo. Rather intense and intrusive, not a blind buy. More masculine to my taste.

WOW. Just wow. I have been into fragrances legitimately for the past year and have tried a little over 500 at this point, which I realize is not that much, but definitely more than I have tried this time last year with my favorite frag then being Aventus. I will say this scent profile does not seem to be super unique or revolutionary but it does do whatever it does very well. This scent, along with erba leather, has shown me an animalic side of leather I didn't know I needed. I have Baronda as well, and I love most of that guy's perfumes. This however does what Baronda is trying to do but effortlessly, and at a fraction of the cost. Vertus is venturing into favorite house territory with affordability at discounters, quality of blends, very niche scent profiles, and strength of juice. Bengal is incredible put simply. Its a smooth leather with the most delicious creamy animalic undertones. This is easily the most addictive scent in my collection and my collection is at about a 100 but its my favorite 100 for sure. 6 of them being from Vertus. This is not a safe blind buy but if you do blind buy and you dont like it, sit with it for a few months. You will grow to love it. The dry down has the most sexy alluring male scent profiles around. I have gotten compliments from people with eyes that say they are after a lot more than my approval of their compliment. Very good stuff, and if you are on a hunt for something that borders challenging but definitely isn't, this is at the top of the list. Bortnikoff's musk cologne, and Sospiro's Erba Leather are close behind.

I’ve worn this a few times and in the air it reminds me of Baraonda. It smells like a hangover lol. Stuffing my nose into it results in a more pleasant spicy animalic experience. I have found that most fragrances reveal their true identity after settling/macerating for several weeks so I’ll keep trying it out and report back!

surprised no one has mentioned the gasoline aspect of the leather. it's similar to gucci guilty absolute, gasoleather, or even fragrance one black tie in that deeply woody, almost industrial, leather with the pleasantly noxious gasoline accord

The opening is kind of similar to Tiziana Terrenzi Ursa/Pardon mentholic, sweet, sexy dry down reminds me of guilty absolute, I don't have nasamotto baroanda or kutay for comparison. Doesn't seem redundant, has a nice sillage.

Requires experienced, top, High level noses, if your are new to prefumes avoid this legend.

Smells like kutay but substitute the tobacco note with oud . (Oriental kutay)
