Eau de Cyan

I blind bought this fragrance a couple of months ago, I know that there's no such thing as "excessive" in the perfume world but this one definitely is an exception! the notes listed here will not prepare you for the strength of this fragrance, this is THE most powerful marine fragrance in my collection to date! the seaweed note with all its salty, sharp, and bitter aspects is truly what defines this scent, it is VERY REALISTIC! every time I wear this and close my eyes I feel like I'm submerged a thousand feet under the Marianas trench whereas in comparison Roja Oceana only feels like your just looking at a photo of the ocean but you ain't there! others in the same category will pale to this fragrance its definitely a big LOVE and highly recommended!!!

Upon the first uses and cautious 1-3 sprays all I got was musk. Leaning feminine. After spraying on clothes and multiple times I got to appreciate the other notes listed. Ideal for Summer. As a man I will be wearing this and not bother I will suffocate others around me with a perfume too strong for a hot summer day or night. Presentation is also very nice.

What is said to be a "unique fougere aquatic explosion," Eau de Cyan from the house of Vertus immediately caught my attention. I love fougere fragrances and I love aquatic fragrances, so how could I pass that up, especially after finding it at a great price? The question is whether this is a hidden gem or if it should simply stay hidden. The opening is a blast of soapy sea notes supported by sage and galbanum. It feels fresh, aromatic, and very clean. The sage brings a calm soapy texture while the galbanum adds that sharp snap of freshly cut green stems. Underneath it all, there is a subtle aquatic presence with a touch of seaweed quietly lingering in the background. It feels breezy and oceanic but not overly salty. After about twenty to thirty minutes, things start to get a little strange. The cleaner and brighter tones begin to soften, and the seaweed becomes more noticeable. White florals come forward and I get something that feels close to lilac, with jasmine adding a gently sweet and slightly luxurious floral touch. It reminds me somewhat of Seahorse, though the florals here feel less lotion-like and luminous, and more soapy and relaxed. Giving it about an hour and a half, musk and oakmoss begin to settle in and keep that grassy green theme going. By the three-hour point, it becomes much lighter. The musk moves forward, and I pick up a soft airy woodiness that feels similar to cedarwood, which rounds everything out nicely. What is left is a light, clean, slightly floral, woody aquatic scent with an airy quality. To me, Eau de Cyan leans into a watery, soapy aquatic style and feels more "Frutiger Aero" than Seahorse. If that is your thing and you enjoy that fresh breezy atmosphere, then this will probably be right up your street. It really feels like a mix of three fragrances: Sailing Day from Maison Margiela, Seahorse from Zoologist, and Gulf Breeze from Solstice Scents. You get the clean airy dry down from Sailing Day, the slightly floral marine character from Seahorse, and the subtle seaside vegetation vibe from Gulf Breeze all blended together. I would definitely recommend sampling before buying because I can see this shifting quite a bit depending on skin chemistry. If the idea of a soapy oceanic fragrance with green touches and a musky airy dry down sounds appealing, I’d say go for it.

This smells exactly like what the color turquoise would smell like. Its very bright, very watery and very green - with depth. True high level niche fresh aquatic. The white florals are beautiful. No, its not acqua di gio or cool water. It's far far better and more interesting. A new warm weather favorite. rating: 9.0

Astringently watery and green. Not overly bitter aquatic scent. Semi herbaceous. Wet wood and moss. Every note seems to develop on top of another as the scent dries down. Artisan and ethereal. Reminds me of 40 Knots, but better. Personally, not for me. But objectively good. I kinda want a decant.

Would have been a like if not a love had the aquatic vibe not been so strong. Feels like Zoologist’s Seahorse on steroids. Not so much that it’s off putting but still too much of the in your face slam. And that was only two sprays! And sure it lasted... eternal perhaps cuz it was still strongly projecting off my wrist after twelve hours. Great for sea lovers.

Kind of blase' in comparison to the other 11 Vertus fragrances I've checked out. Starts very blue and oceanic, moves to something that reminds me of Dove bar soap. Something like spring flowers, maybe lilac but without the funk. I was shocked by how much I loved many of these, so it's only fair I find this one just okay.

i have the sample set and this one. i am a little undecided by it was not bad but very aquatic green salty not really my style and for me get's overshadowed by other freshies from the house. not that they are the same or anything.

Well that sure was unique. Opening is rough. My first thought was, if this is what the ocean smells like, I'm glad I live near a Great Lake (fresh water). Opens with a strange sea/green scent. Gets worse as the seaweed and florals appear. Smell reminded me of the stale water in a vase of cut flowers. As the florals retreat, gets significantly better as far as an OK smell, but I really don't want to smell like this. Not a fresh smelling scent and didn't make me feel fresh on a warm day. Was expecting a fresh ocean breeze but was more like a stagnant inlet. What was really weird is as it became a skin scent and most of the notes became subtle, it reminded me of the wind down skin scent of Azzaro pour Homme. Just no.

Pretty disgusting to be honest. Lawn clippings left to rot in a barrel with seaweed and galbanum for 2 years.

این عطر مخصوص افرادیست که دوست دارن عطر خنک و اقیانوسی داشته باشند با پخش بو و دوام خیلی بالا. یه شروع قدرتمند با مارین و کاج. در ادامه یکم به گل میرسه اما در کل خیلی تغییر نت نمیده. برخلاف عطرهای خنک که بیشتر سبکن ، این یک عطر خنک سنگینه. شاید ۳۰ میل یا ۵۰ میل کافی باشه.قدرت، پخش بو و دوامش قابل رقابت با هر عطر سنگین و گرمیه. اگه از رایحش خوشتون بیاد از هر نظر راضیتون میکنه
