Narcos'is

This is a polarising fragrance for gourmand lovers. The opening is a fan forced blast of every note available from fresh ground/brewed coffee and cardamom at the top all the way down to vetiver and peach at the bottom. It's an olfactory kaleidoscope that shoves its way up your nose in a manner that would be overwhelming if it wasn't so wonderfully built. I still can't decide if I'm disappointed or relieved that the initial blast doesn't last long. I actually get a mid note period on my skin, and that's an unusual experience for me that I enjoyed. For about an hour I get raspberry (?), true mango, ginger, true fresh peach, and coffee but more whole roasted bean than fresh ground/brewed. No citrus notes or rhubarb, but I do get an earthy, very slightly skanky (in a good way) note that is the opening of the vetiver and ambergings. On the dry down I get true peach warmed to marmalade/preserve by the ambergings and vetiver, the occasional whiff of mango, and the suggestion that coffee and cardamom was in the mix at some point, like a cup that has been rinsed but not washed. There's also a faint hint of yellow floral that isn't listed but somehow seems present on my skin. This fragrance is the olfactory equivalent of a fringed black LV Speedy drying down to an orange ostrich Birkin (without the leather). I don't know if this would be a good idea in summer, or tropical weather as I get the impression it would turn cloying and a bit sickly, but for the rest of the year you're good. You *might* get away with this at work, but only once the mid note period kicks in, and only if others don't get the "stinky b.o" note that some people smell. Silage is moderate but longevity is forever as it's still lingering on the shirt that's on my floor from yesterday, so given enough time it's going to fill the space around you. Do not recommend as a full blind buy, but you really do need to experience this at least once. This is a lot of fun to wear, and it will be joining my shelf in the not too distant future for when the controversial mood takes me

I bought this the last month and geez... the most complex and masterfully crafted scent ive ever smelled. Of the start you get a wave of rhubarb and mango (smells like weed to some) but then about 45 minutes into it you get this beautiful mango and a little bit of a dirty ginger and Cardamom making it this sexy spicy mango. This is now my new current obsession. After about 2 hours it dries down on the sweetness and has more of a dirty, not sweet, but dirty mango. Take a twist om autumn vibes from Maison margiella, instead of a dirty leaf accord switch it with mango, and keep that dirtyness... the scent just mutated and mutated throughout the whole wear, I had to sniff it every 10 minutes and it still feels like im missing phases of it. Ive smelled near 10,000 different Perfumes and colognes. This one takes the came for the most masterful. It is straight art in a bottle and im madly in love with it. This is like if oud for happyness was actually good... P.S. if you want something to throw on and not worry about, this is not it, its changes so much throughout its lifespan, and the cannabis at the beginning can be overwhelming. I personally love it however. 10/10 on smell 8.5/10 longevity 100/10 on Complexity 10/10 on uniqueness 11/10 compliment factor (several nearly every day I wore it. People stop me in my tracks for this stuff) 10/10 backup bottle worthy, if this stuff gets discontinued, my life may be over. Overall a 10/10 fragrance. Only 10/10 i have ever given... If you can't afford it buy fragrance worlds "king of diamonds" in a 20$ bottle you will find this to be your new favorite mango of ALL time. Give kt a chance and keep smelling it. I prefer this over mango skin, god of fire, mango kiss, moonlight in heaven, sunsplosion, summer hammer, and all of those other hyped mango fragrances

I'm going to keep this review real. From initial spray from the bottle this smells like weed. Not just any weed smell, but the kind that once you have gutted a mango scented swisher and placed the mary Jane in it, and smoked on it, this is the smell you get initially. If you are familiar with that smell then it is undeniable. That last for about 15 minutes and then you are left with the beauty of the scent. The rhubarb and mango lays on top of the incense background with Amber supporting it and vetiver skipping around. The notes are realistic and it's quite lovely. The smoke is present throughout but it anchors around the fruitiness of the fragrance. Amazing projection and longevity and beautiful in the dry down, but that opening is weed in all her glory. I admire the scent for it's evolution. Is it a must have? Perhaps not, but I would recommend sampling it and wearing it throughout the journey. I blind bought this after blind buying Vanilla oud and my first reaction after that first spray was I could never wear this, but after that opening blast of ganja, it is a beautiful scent. It bares similarities to other fragrances but not a copy and it's artistic in it's approach. Overall Scent: 7/10 Longevity: 10/10

It's phenomenal. I never had smelt anything like before. It's a very beautiful and interesting combination of a sweet mango and a very green rhubarb with a dark bitter coffee and a fresh bright cardomom comes and goes, making it of a multiple-faces scent. It has a great reaction with the sun, that the notes are swinging up and down with sun and shade. It's definitely a complex summer scent, since it is too weak and linear in cold weather. Outstanding! Got a full bottle as present from my wife and to be honest I've never had better scent on my skin! Opening seemed quite different for me as the fruit hits you hard with weed/glue perspective, but after an hour it fades in vanilla-coffee-vetiver atmosphere. 2-3 sprays are enough to cause a headache to sensitive noses. Easy 12+ hours on the skin. This is a very high-quality crafted fragrance. Very unique combination and complex formula. I would love to check more scents of this house. This may not be yours. Definitely try it before buying. I just had luck with this one. Scent - 9.5/10 as it is unique and strange Longevity - 10/10 as 2-3 sprays gives you enough for the day with great sillage, perfect for cool weather.

I got this in and was shocked that there wasn't a strong oud note listed in the notes. I love this. It has an assertive dank oud, cannabis, and mango scent that smells amazing. It's like if Mango Oud and Oud for Happiness had a slightly introverted child, it would be this. It's less dank then Mango Oud (which I adore) and just a little bit less spicy than Oud for Greatness (another scent I adore). It would be the most wearable for people tip toeing into niche of the three scents. Definitely wear when you want energy and to be noticed.

The description of notes above is correct. This scent is both repulsive and attractive. Sweet and juicy with a spiral of exotic tobacco smoke right in the middle of a ripe fruit. The smoke is kind of sweet and dense marijuana aroma, called "rhubarb" for some reason. The smoke develops into the echo of Baccarat Rouge, just softer and creamier. An intriguing fresh-sweet-heady combo lingers and gives this scent a kind of unique vibe. Addictive fragrance, pushes you to reapply again and again, weird, but highly likeable.

I usually test fragrances before I read notes to ensure proper perception. For me, it was super dark chocolate. After that, I read one of you compared it with marijuana. And yes, it is the chocolate with weed :-). Fantastic! I'm not sure who made a low rating of this brand; it's great. EDIT: after almost 2 years of maceration, it smells straight weed on the slightly baccaroid base. No chocolate anymore. I sprayed on the T-shirt and am now scared to go to public places :-)

Well, this is sour! At least on me it is! l get freshly cut grass, sugary citrus, spicy berries, but at the same time it is smoky and bitter. A very interesting scent and l believe it would smell different on different people. lt is like Tom Ford Tuscan Leather without the saffron, and with citrus added, or Memo ltalian leather, but sharper and sweeter. Can be a great summer scent. Longevity and sillage, really good.

This smells so gooood! Omg! However, it gives reminisce to tales from Zanzibar by Memoirs of a perfumer. Surprisingly, I couldn't find it on fragrantica. But this ( narcos'is) has more depth with the coffee, cardamom and Vetiver notes. I have a feeling TFZ performs better. Nevertheless they smell similar, never in a clone kind of way, more like in a flanker kind of way.

this one i have in my collection and it is very good. i think its unisex but easly worn by both sexes opening hits you with rhubarb and cofee the coffe doesnt stay long dies down pretty quik making way for the mango rhubarb mix with some like baccarat rouge like sweetnes it smells very good. and its a good performer.

This is UNIQUE and amazing. On my skin it is rhubarb, mandarin and mango. I layer with Richards Dirty Mango (to enhance the fruitiness) or Atelier Cologne Pacific Lime (to boost the citrus note) and it turns into a refreshing, exotic concoction that lasts all day. Great for spring and summer. In love!

This is insanity. I have never seen mango blend so well with marijuana. There is this incense smoky note that comes and goes not too often. Very versatile imo. Try layering this with killian’s angels share and thank me later. Sillage is mid and longevity is good. 9/10

This is an awesome fragrance,very versatile. It's tropic just right not to be too much femm as tropic fragrances usually are. I would say it's dirty tropic. Great longevity and projection. I don't understand low rating. If Narcosis had a dupe it'll be scored 4.5.

This is what niche perfumery should be. All PDM’s, creeds, MFK, Phagan, Argos, Roja, etc... are all mass appealing designer fragrances with a twist. Vertus is real niche perfumery. It rivals things I own from the Indie world. This frag is one of the best.

Hands down this the best Vertuse perfume in my opinion it's my most complemented perfume i wear! the companion of mango coffee, Cardamon, Peaches are amazing .. it worth the price for sure

When this smell is first squeezed, it resembles a smell reminiscent of the heat emitted by the plastic console of a car that has been waiting for hours under the sun. This fragrance is definitely due to "Rhubarb". It smells like the seeds of a large red pepper. Both bitter and sour. At this point, the tone, which is both bitter and sour, takes on a tone close to the scent of thorny and wild plants. Yes, it really does smell like marijuana. After the first 10 minutes, the sharpness of the smell fades and it starts to smell like strawberries or mango fruits that are about to rot. I'd like to point out that it's about to rot because the smell isn't exactly sugary. After a little more time, the pungent smell gets lighter. Only the fruity and bitter chocolate-like sweetness smell is evident. It smells like mashing rotting strawberries and mango fruit blended with thorny wild herbs (marijuana) and pouring it over a stale chocolate and letting it wait. Projection: It can be felt from 3-4 meters. 8/10 Longevity: stays on the fabric for up to 5 days. 9/10 Sillage: when you leave a room, some of the smell stays in the room. 8/10

Well, it's an interesting one: First it's like smth between BR540 and Torino22: herbal yet sweet Like green mandarin + roasted coffee (as if it's from Sensual Instinct by Montale) Later it becomes more spicy (seems the cardamom is joining the scene) And it's finally developing into smth similar to Straight to Heaven by Killian Sillage is great! I could smell it from myself for an hour I guess Then it becomes more silent, but yet distinguishable from the skin I love the fact that it is not a monotonous scent, and that's cool! Would recommend to wear it during cold season, it's a bit strong Nice :)

Smells like sweet cannabis or like a green version of BR540. Also identical to Green by perfume.sucks. It’s nice I like it, but I feel like it was very popular scent profile 3-4 years ago. My ig: scent.guide

Complex, fruity coffee. Fruit dominant. Devolves into something like a mango bomb. Vaguely reminds me of Hindu Kush. Delicious nuance. Wearable. If the opening persisted, I’d give this a 😍.

This is predominantly a sweet mango and marijuana on opening with a distinct zestiness from the mandarin. The dry down is mango, peach with something half way between incense and that marijuana smokiness. There is occasional moments of rhubarb but it is fleeting. I think I would love this on a man, but it doesn't quite work for me. The performance is great, nice longevity and a decent sillage without being too provocative.

I don't think this has anything to do with Oud for Happiness. At all. This is a slightly feminine-leaning dirty mango, almost obnoxious. Lasting power is decent. if not for the high price tag, I would actually layer this with a spring/summer freshie to give it more edge.

Obnoxiously sweet mango dominant scent that leans feminine. Anything else is hard to detect aside from coffee in the opening, giving the mango a bitter "dirty" edge. As with most fragrances the drydown is significantly better. Edit: It also performs obnoxiously well

Vertus Narcos'is is not a bad scent and is really blended well. The rhubarb make this smell like marijuana. Unless your going to a smoking convention where do you even where this???

This smells good-weirdly good - weirdly. Perhaps it will grow on me. Make sure to TRY BEFORE YOU BUY.

Sprayed a sample of this perfume at work. Got weird looks from my colleagues. Tried to wash it off and it is very strong, omg. Mango what? Come on. It’s marijuana. I was hoping police wouldn’t stop me that day.

the amber base is pretty nice here but it’s not worth waiting to dry down because the top and middle notes are absolutely nauseating. don’t want to smell like a bad fruit salad

It starts fruity and finishes woody. I wore it in summer but really I did not like it. You can find better summer scents with lower prices than narcosis

If I ever go to a Halloween party dressed as a giant mango, I might consider this perfume. Until then... definitely no.

Narcos’is is a wild ride! It’s the kind of scent that makes you do a double take the first time you smell it. The opening hits with a sharp, almost agressive burst of rhubarb and cardamom, mixed with something dark and slightly bitter, like strong coffee. It’s loud, it’s weird, and it doesn’t care if you like it or not. After a while, things start to shift. There’s this unexpected wave of mango, juicy but not too sweet, blended with ginger giving it this spicy tropical vibe. But right when you think it’s going in a fruity direction, it pulls you back down with a deep, almost smokey warmth. Amber, vetiver and something that smells slightly dirty (in the best way) settle in, giving it this almost addictive quality. Its not for everyone. I read on here that some people get a straight up weed note from it especially in the opening and honestly I get it too.. but for me? That’s exactly what makes it interesting. It’s a little dangerous, a little strange and completely unique. I appreciate perfumes that push boundaries and Narcos’is does that perfectly. It’s bold, unpredictable and somehow manages to be both luxurious and rebellious at the same time. If you’re into safe clean fragrances stay far away from this. But if you like something with attitude, something that makes people stop and ask what the hell are you wearing? then this might just be your next addiction.. Uniqueness: 10/10. Nothing I've tried smells quite like this Projection: 8.5/10. Strong Longevity: 9/10. easily lasts 8+ hours Wearability: 6/10. Definitely not for every occasion or every person. It takes some time to get used to this scent and begin to appreciate it Bottle Design: 7/10 Sleek and minimal but nothing groundbreking Price: 7/10. Not cheap, but considering the performance and uniqueness, it’s justified Overall: 8.7/10

Yes, it smells like marijuana lol On initial spray, I get a fruity gourmand at arm’s length, but when I put my nose close to my skin, I get a smoky note that quickly turns into weed. Immediately came here to see if anyone else had this experience, and was happy to see I’m not crazy. If you don’t mind smelling like pot when you go out, or just enjoy trying interesting fragrances, this is a good one.

it's something special on my skin and it definetely works for me. this became the smell of my summer 2020! I feel lots of rhubarb with coffee and ginger, in like two hours becomes more calm and even some sweetness appears, I guess this is mango. also closer to the base it stays on skin as a duo of vetiver and ambergris! I also find some resemblance with molecule 01 but only first seconds when you spray it. no weed for me)

I agree with Feruza...upon first spray, I definitely get the coffee and a bit of 'weed,' but the dry down and lingering scent is BR540 all day long. I'd say they are 90% same on my skin. Longevity is okay but silage is very intimate. I'm not a huge fan of BR540, but if you are, I believe you would like this!

This has nothing to do with br540 or anything else in that "family". Seems a little muddled to me. It doesn't know who it is or where its supposed to go next. It just hangs there without changing much over its lifespan. You sit there waiting for a development that doesn't seem to materialize.

We sprayed this on the paper strip while walking with my wife and we both smelled literally marijuana for the next 1-2 hours then we threw it out. Where is coffee, mango & peach? There's a hint of orange mandarin hiding somewhere which makes this marijuana scent sour.

Long lasting , I can’t lie . I get the note of cannabis , cardamom, vetiver and mango . The cannabis is very overpowering. It lingers from start to end . In a sexy way, let me not lie . Not a head ache inducing. 8/10 overall rating

This a sweet fragrance. I wore it today and I loved it. I personally don't smell the coffee, it doesn't smell like marijuana on me. Mandarin and mango come through.

Wow(!) 😮 Unreal(!) on me it pulls straight away to the rhubarb and ends like Delina ? Yes it did open weird but within 10 minutes it was gone. I’m baffled 🤯

People sleep on this fragrances so hard so unique so addictive and everyone ask me when i wear this monster🔥🔥

When you spray it first you gonna smell like weed then it’ll turn to baccarat rouge 540 extrait at the end.
