Sole Patchouli

A very bright green and aromatic patchouli. I've recently been on a patch spree, and this was a bit of a shock coming from earthier frags like Borneo and Patchouli Premiere... I wasn't aware patchouli could smell this fresh and bright, and if I were to sniff this blindly would have probably guessed it to be a vetiver fragrance! Having said all of that, I really like it. It opens, as mentioned, with a clean and bright quality, but is also a fairly camphorous, which gives it an herbal coughdrop vibe (but in a very pleasant way). The only point that might turn some off (not me!) is that the civet occasionally lends it a slightly fetid ripe-fruit quality, which reminds me very much of durian fruit (and in particular, the smell of a cold refrigerator that is storing durian). I also love durian, though, so take that as you will...

Between this and Jovoy’s Psychedelique, I’ve found two incredible patchouli fragrances. I have a handful more but I think this and JP are standouts. The reviewer below me is spot on. This is a bright, fresh and airy patchouli scent. Some powdery florals that are blended beautifully. I don’t get much potent civet either, but there’s a slight trace. A small amount comes through during the dry down. Not in your face like Kouros or Afrika Oliphant. More refined like Layton Exclusif, maybe Amouage Gold. Just enough to provide a bit of depth. This thing is pinging off one spray. It’s the type of scent you’ll want to keep smelling. Going to test it in the office tomorrow. Don’t think HR will be calling me in. If they do, it’ll be to ask what I’m wearing. It’s that good. My first from Vertus. On this evidence, it won’t be the last.

This is a versatile fragrance. Personally, I think you can wear it whenever and wherever you want. Scent-wise, it showcases different "types" of patchouli. It's minty and herbal/medicinal, and has a fizzy/sparkly (soda-like) opening. Then there's a touch of dirtiness in the mid. It dries down to a green, earthy, and powdery scent. There's a slight sweetness throughout its wear. If you like patchouli, this would be an amazing addition to your collection. Quite polarizing to some, try before buying, not everyone would appreciate this. Scent: 9/10 Projection: 10/10 Longevity: 9/10 I laughed when I read someone’s comment about this being a copy of Crush On Me. Sole Patchouli came out in 2017 while Crush On Me was released in 2021. So, which one’s the copy?

I was wearing this today. I had a 2ml sample & decided to try it out today. Patchouli is the main note, however, it is not like the one used in Coromandel, here it is green & fresh. Smells like the grass after a rainy day you get this feeling. It is suitable for all seasons all occasions it is fresh, deep, a bit dark & strong enough to cut through the cold. Surprised not many fragrance lovers tried this one. It is a high quality scent & you can sense the ingredients quality. Longevity is 10 hours & projection is ok as I kept getting wafs throughout the whole work day so performance is very good not nuclear but very solid. I will look for a good deal to buy a full bottle soon. Very nice scent & will be one of my favorites for sure. Easy 9/10 rating.

#1624 in my "Tour de Fragrance" Got this as a 2ml sprayette from scentswithsense.com. Hooo Boy! That's patchouli baby! WOW! Nothing I've experienced to date brings the patchouli like this stuff! The first tentative spray was room filling! This could well be a "must have" for me. But there seems to be a consensus that Lattafa "Niche Emerati Vintage Castle" is a clone of this for about $80 less, so I've blind bought a bottle of that. If when it arrives it measures up or doesn't, I'll come back here and say so. If it doesn't, I will definitely buy this stuff. This stuff is nuclear for sure, so go easy, but Gawd is this stuff yummy! Good Luck and Good Hunting!

Oh this is good! If you're a patchouli lover that is... On me, this starts off green and clean. it later morphs into an earthy, dusty, little spicy, sweet combo; I get no civet! It may be there but I'm not picking up any skank; thank goodness! This can be deceptive on the performance side. You may think you didn't spray enough, until you get wafts of it (it can be too much), if you spray too much. Develops very well on skin. Resist the urge to spray this on your clothes. You won't get the full experience if you do plus, it will stay on your clothes till you wash it off. I love it. PS; you have to love patchouli.

I think ReHan's review is the most accurate one. Some people say this fragrance doesn't smell like patchouli, but I completely disagree. It smells like patchouli from start to finish—just in different forms. As ReHan perfectly described it: "Camphorous patchouli at the opening, followed by green, herbal patchouli, then a sweeter, fresher patchouli—perhaps thanks to the marshmallow note. A true patchouli garden."

One of the freshest Patchouli out there It's like been dropped in a field of wet dewy patchouli leaves , this scent does capture the fresh elements of patchouli and multiplies on it. The mimosa and Orris presence are clear also, giving a soft powdery floral background. Highly recommended for Patchouli lovers who are looking to experience Patchouli in a fresh ways. Cheers

An intriguing patchouli on the earthy, crunchy peppery side of the leaf, evoking a phantom note of cannabis supported by sweeter floral... Apparently, there is a marshmallow note pressed seamlessly into the base...Thankfully, the end result is not candied, merely pungent green and very addictive... This is one that will be on the future radar!

I've just bought my backup bottle from Indirimci as well. I'll most likely get my third bottle in September or October. This is a fragrance I'll never be able to live without. this one is very nice. strong and smooth patchoeli smoothed out by the iris with some sweetness of marshmellow and a pinch a touch of animalicness just a tiny bit making it interesting. i like smelling this one in the air it is very nice for patchoeli lovers. more for men. performance is strong

Perfect deep green patchouli with a hint of sweetness from marshmallow. Smells extremely appealing, rich. Performance is excellent with very good projection and sillage. As another guy commented here, I want to swim in it)) My score: 9/10

I adore this stuff. One of my favorite bottles in my collection. Beautiful fragrance that offers depth, richness and roundness despite its patchouli namesake. Vertus is just a great, unique fragrance house.

One of the most versatile scents ever made. I never get bored if it , which is why I think it's the most perfect daily driver. The blend is SECOND TO NONE. It's pure Art.

This stuff is dry down magic. At first, I thought it was... different. Then, about twenty minutes later I couldn’t stop smelling my arm. It’s very pleasant.

A patchouli’s soul that is pure but got cursed a bit XD I honestly feel mixed about this one. Initially it did smell so beautiful dewy earthy rich green scent. And it continues to smell green all the way to the base. May be linear and simple without having big dynamic changes in the scent profile. What makes me feel mixed about it and appreciating it less. Is how overwhelming it can be. It’s kinda something you notice the more you wear it. All that vibrant aromatic greenness, bitterness blend can be too much. But honestly I may get back to it from time to time... worth the try! Longevity (8h-9h) on skin, and can last weeks on fabrics Projection: Loud and emits far! (2h-3h) Performance: it’s one of these fragrances that you might think it’s not performing well because you can get noise blind to it easily.. spray it on someone else and see how long it really can last and perform. That’s something I didn’t notice in the beginning thinking it’s weak. Now I’m afraid to overspray. 😂 + Design and quality: Vertus bottles are indubitably gorgeous but I must admit that magnetic cap is an excellent tier quality, heavy and snaps strongly.

Something smells amazing yeah? Yes. It's the fish, No.....it's very good...it's not the fish Ahh, well.... Say who's balloon is that You know how to use it? I thought it was something else... It's pretty long.... It's also pretty thin...... *After the laughter subsides*, Yes it smells amazing in here === Ahh, it smells amazing in here Nah. I don't smell anything special? ...... It smells like something oriental it's probably my coffee, it smells amazing *after sniffing dried coffee mug* Yes that does smell nice but It's something else === Two nice moments with this fragrance. I bought this as an alternative to chase the heavenly white chocolate note in Chanel coromandel. I knew it was not identical, but I hoped it would scratch that itch. It did not... Rather I found a new unique perfume. Refined and clean patchouli. With depth of green to yellow and pastel-like depth, It's got this...fancy and mysterious thing to it. Alas, I can't describe this "thing" so...in that sense it does serve to scratch the itch for when I want this uniqueness that coromandel also has.

Dusty, aromatic patchouli. Sole Patchouli is considered by some to be Vertus's best release. I haven't tried enough Vertus's to agree nor disagree with that. Sole Patchouli is a classic patchouli scent. The same herbal, green, earthy, mildly-spicy scent of patchouli. Made powdery by the orris without any of the lipsticky smell you find in orris/iris, and floral-powdery with mimosa. There is the lightest touch of sweetness & citrus-like freshness likely from the marshmallow/green notes. There is no civet. Zero perceivable civet. There is richness to the smell that might be caused by civet but that's it. Nothing animalic, fecal, or stinky. Overall, this is well done patchouli scent. I would consider buying this if it wasn't for the price. Strong performance. Think niche performance, as opposed to average designer. One of those fragrances that make your skin feel sticky. Luxurious yet bright patchouli, Sole Patchouli is a lovely, mature cool weather wear. Sole Patchouli gets a big "Like".

Sole Patchouli was a first for me - a patchouli dominant fragrance that is actually fresh and clean. The fact that it is fresh and clean also makes it very versatile. Works anytime day or night, any day of the year, hot or cold. The main note at all stages is patchouli of course. At the opening, the green notes were obvious; didn't get any iris. As it dried down, the patchouli became even more prominent with a very slight touch of sweetness, I assume from the marshmallow. The marshmallow was subtle and I couldn't identify it at first. After looking at the pyramid, it dawned on me, yup, that's marshmallow. Didn't really get any civet, or, if it is there, it's pretty subtle. Sole Patchouli leans masculine. Performance is beast mode with very good longevity and projection. Be careful with this one because the scent is not really bold and obtrusive but it's definitely noticeable. I can highly recommend Sole Patchouli for a patchouli lover who wants it with a clean and fresh twist.

I enjoyed this a lot when I first blind bought it, and over time, I began to heavily dislike it. After enough wearings, my final verdict is that I do genuinely like this, but it’s not a love. The civet, orris root, and marshmallow is soooo addictive here, and the green notes+patchouli are so realistically bitter and herbal that it makes everything a bit challenging to me. The combination is kind of perfect though, because, at least for me, there’s enough challenge+enjoyment for me to always be interested in sole patchouli. It’s definitely not my favorite fragrance, but I enjoy wearing it every once in a while. I was going to sell it, but I think I’ll keep it now. 4/5

Powdery and decadent, but alive and vibrating. Super diffuse and alluring. I'm not a fan of patchouli but this one makes me very satisfied. Great scent which lingers and stays on for a long time without being suffocating and intrusive.

Woah... really orris heavy with a touch of sweet civet. I usually don’t like patchouli but I like this perfume, so that’s really interesting to me. The civet and marshmallow combo is so unique and a really pleasant touch

Oh, it's a copy of Crush Me perfume, but Soul Patchouli is lighter with caramel, so if you have Crush Me, don't waste your money.Naishane Hacivat never

a round patchouli with a hint of marshmallow not all too much to say has its place ~

Most patchouli scents tend to go in one of two directions: dark, chocolatey, earthy, and dirty... or green, grassy, aromatic, and slightly bohemian. Either way, patchouli usually has a very recognizable identity. This one doesn’t. Sole Patchouli is surprisingly clean, powdery, and fresh. There’s sweetness here, but not in a gourmand way. No thick chocolate, no damp earth, no incense-shop or “hippie” vibes. In fact, if someone handed this to me blindly, I probably wouldn’t immediately think “patchouli fragrance.” The composition uses different styles of patchouli throughout the scent, blended with mimosa, green notes, orris, marshmallow, and supposedly civet. But honestly, if there’s civet here, it’s incredibly well hidden — I get nothing animalic or dirty from this at all. What really stands out is how modern this smells. Most patchouli-centered fragrances feel old-school in one way or another, but this feels sleek, airy, and contemporary. I’d easily recommend this to people who normally say they dislike patchouli.

Not much patchouli. Opening has some but it only lasts a few mins. The open is decent & seems like it might be an interesting scent for some. But it doesn't last long. The mid comes off like Play-Doh. It's not a projector, nor does it have much sillage. It doesn't really push off your skin nor does it smell great. I dont get any civet or anamalics. Once you factor price. It's a 4/10.

this is not for me it is all about overbearing patchouli and cumin, I don't find this sexy or interesting I don't understand why all the hype for it, If it's more balanced I might like it.

Initial blast of papery green Iris patchouli with sparkly hints of mimosa around the edges. I was nervous this was gonna be faux niche garbage based on reviews of the brand overall but so far so good... Will update later. Ok now it’s just an isoESuper nightmare. Crap. Not sure what this “caramel” nonsense is about. Nothing sweet here- no “marshmallow” whatsoever. Skews masculine. But seriously- this is all IsoEsuper. Goddammit.

This fragrance is NOT GOOD! I really don't understand why some people think it is nice. There are many great fragrances out there. Also, the longevity is just satisfactory. I wore it a few times, someone said I smelt like an outdated furniture LOL It is a NO for me. I ended up giving a full bottle to a friend who says he struggles to wear it. scent 3 out of 10 longevity 5 out of 10 sillage 7 out of 10

As a devoted patchouli lover, I can say it truly grows on you with each wear, refined, green, and quietly powerful, like a fresh breath of nature captured in glass.

حصلت علي العطر وبالنسبه لكل ما قيل عنه من الثبات والفوحان الاسطوري اصبح من الماضي اعتقد ان كل الاصدارات الحديثه منه بدايتا من ٢٠٢٢ كلها أصبحت ضعيقه جدا هذا انطباعي الاول بعد فتح العبوه واستخدامها لاول مره ورش ما لا يقل عن ١٠ رشات من العطر لما يكن له اي حضور !!!!!!!! حتي ولو قليل سأقوم بتحديث التعليق في حال تغير الانطباع الاولي مع الإستخدام تحديث...... تم ارجاع العطر للبائع بعد استخدام العطر بشكل كامل ما لا يقل عن ٢٠ رشه من العطر وثبات وفوحان ل ٢٠ الي ٣٠ دقيقه والتأكد انه غير اصلي 😡 ارجو الحظر لان تقليد العطور اصبح بشكل غير طبيعي من كل شيى ابتداء بالتغليف الي الزجاجه نفسها احصلوا علي العطور من مصادر موثوقه.ولا يغركم السعر انا واخد العطر من تطبيق عربي شهير ب٨٥٠ ريال ارجو اني افدتكم واسف علي الاطاله.

Late 80s Carol Amy. We're playing Dungeons and Catapults (or whatever it's called) in the hallway and it's early winter on a Saturday arvo. I was bloody destined to become obsessed with scent. I have a sample of this and every time I put it on in takes me RIGHT back. Not necessarily a 'good' memory, or even a memory I fondly recall, but a memory all the same. And that is what I love about perfume. It's neuroolfactory warfare that could (and does) make me daydream almost every time it hits. So, for anyone who is not me (or Adam), it's a floral patchouli I have a small after-market sample of which I don't necessarily like or love, but it's a reference scent I want to keep...

The opening reminds me of an alcoholic herbal tincture — sharp, medicinal and somewhat apothecary-like. It feels quite harsh and not particularly pleasant at first. With time the sharpness slowly fades, but the mysterious transformation one hopes for in a fragrance never really happens. The heart of the composition remains rather simple and does not reveal anything new or intriguing. The longevity is actually quite decent — around 8/10. However, despite that, I cannot really recommend this fragrance. Unless, of course, you enjoy smelling as if you have just stepped out of an elderly lady’s room filled with old bottles of herbal remedies.

Give it time, it will grow on you. And you'll start loving it like your beloved. Camphorous patchouli in the start,followed by green herbal patchouli,followed by sweet fresh patchouli maybe due the marshmallow. A patchouli garden. Just 4 spritz on my neck and its still there after 10 hours,doesn't cause olfactory fatigue for a second, a very stable performer. When my friend first applied it he said it smells like mosquito repellent,but now he loves it,and consider it as masterpiece.

Took me a while to realise why this smelled so familiar, it has a resemblance to Prada Luna Rossa Carbon despite completely different notes and they were released the same year surprise surprise. Sole Patchouli is a bit more piercing and darker yet fresh with a grassy vetiver/aniseed vibe, that hint of marshmallow is blended beautifully, civet is almost undetectable beneath the grassy green notes. Longevity is good, I didn’t find it to project much after the first half hour.

Sole patchouli : Just truly a masterpiece. A holy grail for patchouli lovers. Fell in love right after first sniff. Fresh green earthy patchouli with hints of marshmallows. No civet or skankyness whatsoever. I also found some minty cold sweetness. Projection is very high in first 2 hours. Don't over spray it, again, warning you, just don't. Only 2 to 4 sprays are more than enough for a whole damn day. 10/10 from me.

Hmmm this one is hard to put my finger on. I am not getting much patchouli. Nose to skin I am unable to articulate. Projected, a strange black pepper and citrus accord with freshie elements. Put it in an Orto Parisi bottle... 9 hours later I am still trying to decide if I like it or not but I will give it this, longevity and projection are outstanding.
