Mandorlo

Thanks to a wonderful fellow Fragrantican (Anamaria) I received a sample of Mandorlo and promptly fell in love with it. Of the almond based fragrances I’ve tried, Mandorlo is the least synthetic, it delivers the note with an air of pristine yet seductive beauty. This is what I thought and hoped Guerlain’s overhyped L’Heure Blanche would be, but sadly isn’t for me (and I am a huge Guerlain fan). The whole presentation brings a feeling of purity amongst sun-whitened rocks, the air redolent of citrus and almond from neighbouring orchards, the light is soft yet dazzling. Could perform better, but whilst you’ve got it on and can breathe it in, it’s divine.

Mandorlo is such a great almond skin scent. It's a softer, more natural smelling alternative to other almond fragrances on the market that smell a little too synthetic for my tastes. Mandorlo is also a great fragrance to layer with other fragrances and I think this also helps to boost its sillage and longevity. I layer this with Bo Bo by Carner - I honeslty recommend you try this combination. The fruity orange and almond combination is so. damn. good!! The only negative is that I think this fragrance is a little too expensive ($260 AUD for 100ml) considering it has average sillage and performance.

Mandorlo is lovely. If you like Hypnotic Poison by Dior, it has the same feel. It doesn't smell identical, this is more of a day time, sunny scent than HP, but the warm, inviting feel is there. It's soft enough but also complex enough to wear year round. The warmth in it is perfect for a sunny winter's day but the lightness of it also makes it wearable in the heat of summer. It's absolutely inoffensive and is an easy blind buy if you like light, warm, sunny florals. I get about 5 hours out of it with moderate sillage that drops close to skin after about 2-3 hours.

It gives me addiction. I want more and more. It makes my skin so velvety and soft. The almond note is sweet and bright, blooming. My boyfriend becomes crazy 😂 ❤️ when he smells it on my skin. In one word, wonderful !

A light, creamy-milky-floral sort of almond scent with a delightful first hour morphing later on to something quite different, but still pleasant - a much more floral-musky affair reminding me oddly of something Eris, though I can't remember which. The initial effect is really individual, natural-seeming bright, light, almond blossom - no sticky marzipan gourmandising here - like a much more organic take on ADP's Mandorlo di Sicilia - though the skim of patchouli renders it a bit less metallic and more vegetal, verging on green. Shades of Heeley's lovely L'Amandiere creep in, though the aura's more silky and less sharply bright than that. Lingers respectably on skin for 3-5 hours and close up it's still most charming. Not a wham-bam performer and there's something about its understatedness that fails to bowl me right over. But if you're exploring almond and find many treatments too sickly - I know I do! - more than worth a try.

Gifted a sample . It’s out of my preferred fragrance group and sorry to say , I can’t stand it . It’s a synthetic , patchouli cardboard smelling woody scent . It leans more masculine . No from me .

I have all three samples, you can buy them on their website all three are beautiful, long lasting mandorlo is similar to bois de farine from Lartisan Parfumeur but less sweet zagara is beautiful fresh clean lemony neroli scent gelsomino is more serious grown kind jasmin parfum very elegant

Surprisingly smells very musty to me
