Angel Gold

Ah, I dedicated my first full-size EDP to Angel Gold. For the context, I am a die-hard JA'dore EDP fan ever since I got a sniff in my sister's room, that I swore to myself that I will get myself a 100ml full size someday. Now, Angel Gold won over my heart as my first ever EDP. I am still on my journey to get a full size of JA'dore, but AG really has a special place in my heart. It is a warm, sweet, young and energetic smell. I've seen reviews saying this is a classy scent, but I beg to differ. I can only imagine a young, bubbly and sweet girl wearing this. Really like the musk in the base note too, it makes the fragrance smells 'completed' and 'rounded'. My favourite part of AG is how comforting it made me felt, as if I am alone and enjoying my cup of tea and the scenery outside. I also really like wearing it to bed too! I like how it surrounds me when I fall asleep. Makes me feel in love. My love for AG is so strong that I keep wanting to get products from this line. I've got the full size EDP and the body mist, and now I really want to get the rollerball and body lotion too, LOL

No dislike here ,fellow member and reviewer Lemonzest :) I have , and had many VS scents. I could be called a VS fan, although I`ve had my share of Nays rather than Yays with VS frags. This to me, smells like a taste...a taste of citrus fruit perfumed with flowers, or maybe a white flower , in this case a gardenia, splashed with citrus. Is there honeysuckle and jasmine hidden in there? I would place honeysuckle in the notes 2nd to gardenia. I like it so much more than the other fruity , or gourmand, or "clubby" type EDPs from VS. It has a spark. Must be the bergamot note. That note reminds me just a bit of Bombshell. It`s hard for me to call it Gold. To me, Golds have more depth, this is more fresh, tart`n sweet ,creamy. It does come on strong, but the longevity is a few hours. It seems to stay the same, through and through, without any emerging of notes until it has faded. I do like this so much that I do not mind re-applying frequently. I have had to re-apply 3 -4 times in one day.

This is the essence of a lady. When i first smelled it, that is how exactly i picture this scent. Just bought it on the 28th and wearing it everyday and all i got was compliment, compliment and more compliment. This is the best perfume so far that i truly loved under VS brand. I dont really like the mist collection but this one really hit the right spot to my nose pleasure. The best thing about this scent is that it has a little hint of bombshell in the background, which is a good thing but thank you to the warmness of the musk and the gardenia sweetness. This two ingredient draw the line and separate itself from bombshell in other word its more unique. My current love.

Oh, yes! The first Victoria's Secret perfume that I have found sexy (and isn't that the point of most of them?) since Rapture from 1992! Angel Gold is a little bit fresh and very sultry and different. I love when gardenia (even though a constructed note) isn't combined with tuberose. I imagine lots of people would consider the musk in this to be too harsh- it is indeed intense- but to me it is, together with the freshness of the opening bergamott and the smooth gardenia- very attractive. The perfume is slightly old school, slightly modern and very sensous.

this scent has such a happy scent memory attached to it so whenever I smell it I get an instant mood boost. it is a clean, juicy, and musky scent that is so bright and uplifting. it has this fresh and fruity shampoo scent (very similar to Garnier hair products) but has that added clean and perfume-y touch from the musk. this perfume is my definition of a beach scent, it wears beautifully in hot weather. also, the BOTTLE (duh) is one of the prettiest in my collection, I absolutely adore older Victoria Secret bottles with the angel wings!!

Light, fresh floral that i think would work for both spring and summer thanks to the subtle bergamot. Update: With warmer weather I returned to this scent and fell back in love. The gardenia is well done and isn't "mature", the bergamot brightens it without feeling sharp, and the musk just makes it oh so sensual. This is by far my favorite scent from VS.

My juice is from 2015 ,I bought it on my holiday in Bali 8 years ago.Fresh and sweet citrusy white floral..it's nice ,easy to wear,mass pleasing scent.but I have body mist that lasts longer and projected better than this..But I still love it because it's reminded me of my holiday with my husband and daughters

the scent of angels. and sex. sexy angels. VS angels. get it if you want that "it girl" type scent.

Stunning, this perfume is fresh creamy and I feel sexy when I wear it , best by far from V.S ❤️

Had the body mist version of this and I really liked it! The scent is elegant and fresh but not to the point where it would be unsuitable for younger girls, I myself wore it when I was in my late teens and my boyfriend loved it. Can’t comment on the longevity and sillage of the EDP as I got the body mist version, but what I can say is that the longevity and sillage of the body mist of Angel Gold was ironically, better than the EDP version of Bombshell. VS Angel Gold is particularly special to me as it was with me during various different phases in my life, and I think it will always hold a special place in my heart.

hot day, sampling a few things. gold angel feels like a producty peachy scent but shampooey and clean not syruppy. the florals are a bit wet and clean, this sits light and airy, i tried Rapture today as well, and they are such different examples of their time. clean, rounded, a smidge dusky not its hitting the heart notes, totally pleasant, simple, easy

Peachy rounded shampooey fresh sort of scent. I wouldn't say it deserves the high prices I have seen it at. Pale fleshed fruit, a clean thread through it, a touch dry, it's not syrupy, leans clean. Innofensive.. Um.. very delicate woods if any, it sits airy..

I have the body mist of this and it's about 3 years old. It's very strong though. I often use it as a bathroom deodorizer but recently used it as a body mist and it was so warm. A very nice floral scent. Somewhat strong. It lasted about 3 hrs on my skin.

I was really expecting something great from this perfume and when I got it I loved it. But the more I wear it I don't feel the love for it. It smells good for maybe a few minutes than the scent disappears in a matter of two hours... 3/10 ~luciana

It reminds me of my childhood that I never expected to reminisce again. Oh my! IDK! It's very nostalgic and kind of angelic for me. It smells so good and even better after some time. I will definitely have a EDP of this.

Fresh. Crispy. Light. It smells like summer, in the best way possible. Feels like taking a fresh shower. It smells like a nice really shampoo, like apples dropped in champagne. A great everyday fragrance.

I got two of these as souvenirs. They liked it. This is exactly the same as the old gold angel of VS's collection. 👼

Feels very fresh and dainty. Works great as an everyday perfume.

Got the fine fragrance mist and it has great intensity and longevity but it smells a bit boring, like shampoo.

I sampled this fragrance beside Angels Only as freebies from Victoria's Secret. I like all the listed notes but not the execution here. The overarching impression Angel Gold gives me is aged apple juice. There's pear and dried plum in the opening that is quickly enveloped in heavy musk. This is the first musk I dislike. The featured gardenia is not green or white, rather cream. The dry down reveals sweet woods and a cigarette-like quality. This perfume definitely makes me think of the color gold, but more of gold as dressed-up yellow rather than the precious metal. It tries to be both fresh yet mature and lands on musty. There's something about these Victoria's Secret fragrances that gives me a headache. Compared to Angels Only, Angels Gold has greater sillage in the beginning and shorter longevity, and is heavier, older, and the more refined of the two.

The bergamot is overwhelming within the first few seconds, then it turns into a musky alcohol bomb on drydown. Absolutely not.

First, let me say that I’m not good at describing fragrance, but I’ve been silently adoring so many of the reviews on Fragrantica, and for a long time. I know what I like and have loved the world of fragrance all my life and knew how to differentiate scents and their genres as a kid, and loved being able to identify what people of any sex were wearing. I first bought my Mom Shalimar as a very young girl of ten or so. I’m partial to Guerlain but have only own a few. I feel I’m among friends here so I’m just going to jump in and share my thoughts. Scents become part of our history, memories and dreams too. My mother was in the hospital and all the nurses on her floor were constantly giving me compliments on this fragrance. They finally asked me to write down the name. I would only wear this in the winter, imho and it’s probably more suitable for a more mature woman as my daughter’s friend gave me this because she thought it smelled too old lady-ish. (Of course, wear what you like when you like;) It has a very powerful longevity and silage for sure. The nurses said they knew when I had arrived, but in a good way. This is the type of perfume I prefer especially in the cold winter months in Ohio. It’s so warm and comforting, yet very sexy and alluring at the same time.

Firstly the design is absolutely magnificent! A sturdy curved shaped glass bottle with really beautiful golden wings , cleverly attached. The scent is really gorgeous , very nostalgic and sweet and floral combined!! It's really lovely, I enjoy wearing this .. I imagine myself with gold, strappy stiletto sandals gladiator style and strutting my stuff down an imaginary catwalk with my bikini on and my flabby tummy bouncing up and down as I strut, and receiving rapturous applause! Like a Victoria's Secret model , drenched in gold, it's fun, it's very pretty absolutely superb for the summertime!

white floral, fruity,sweet. I like the innocence impression I get from white flowers.There is something here that reminds me of lady million, but this one is ,much younger and less complicated. Talking about complication, I expected more than three simple notes. I thought I smelt jasmine, honey, peach and some citrus. It has the characteristics of VS perfumes and doesn't go further than VS comfort zone. It doesn't smell bad. The dry down is almost like a shampoo or body mist. Don't expect high longevity and huge sillage, but I guess it's not bad for its price.

This scent strikes me as very simplistic and makes me think of champagne and apples. I agree with the "aged apple juice" impression another reviewer had. Yes, I think it's sort of bubbly with sparkle and elegance, but I don't get creamy. To me it's more crisp and light. Not too sweet. It does have hints of Signorina by Salvatore Ferragamo, but instead of being light pink, it's definitely gold. I prefer the drydown, but by that time it's pretty faint and I have to search for it. For me personally, this is just ok. Nice, but not exciting or mysterious.

Very specific... but smells like a watery shampoo STILL IN WET HAIR. There’s a wateriness like a cucumber or something but mixed with the fruity and soapy notes. It’s not traditionally aquatic like Curious by Britney Spears for example, it’s more realistic water than that. But it does absolutely smell like shampoo that’s still being lathered into your hair, not just smelling it in the lid. My sister isn’t normally into trying other perfumes except her signature scent and she loved this so I gave it to her.

Bergamot...then light gardenia..then musky. Simple,easy everday type scent that smells decent and good. The gardenia is not a green or sweet peppery one...it comes off fruity gardenia...??...the musk holds up everything...and gives it smoothness. Nothing remarkable, but I like it. The bottle/box are very over done...maybe the scent vs bottle don't match-up. Whatever. I find this scent calming and comforting too. Longevity/sillage are low to medium on me.

I carry a roller ball of this in my purse for on-the-go scent fixes. It is simple but beautiful. I always receive compliments on it from males and females of all ages! My personal image of this is: a hot cup of earl grey (bergamot) tea with a side of clean, juicy lemon. While you sip and turn the crisp pages of your favorite book, you are surrounded by fresh air and a breeze of white gardenia flowers. Perfectly pure and chic.

Unusual, sensual, a little bit fresh This, together with the freshness of the opening bergamot and the silky gardenia, is quite appealing to me. The scent is somewhat retro, little current, and quite sensual. It has a glimmer about it. Golds have greater depth in my opinion; this is more fresh, tangy, sweet, and creamy. It does hit hard, but it only lasts a few hours.

I like the honeysuckle note but there is a bit of a problem with this fragrance and that is that it goes really bitter as you wear it. It also has poor staying power so you get 15 mins of the nice smell then this messier sour note comes through. With a bit more thought into its creation it could have been really fantastic.

I love Heavenly but this one just stinks to me. It's heavy and smells sweaty to my nose- not sure why. It smells like the oldest woman in an un-airconditioned church pew in the middle of a heat wave. Too much heft and not enough delicacy of ingredients IMO. Pass.

I love this! I get many compliments. But I am no longer using this perfume because I am wearing boss now. This perfume does not last long on my skin. Very nice fragrance but very bad longevity. I will purchase one soon. I miss the smell on my body already.

Clean, beautiful gardenia. One of my favorites scents, I don’t want to finish it because it was really difficult to get in Spain. I don’t know why this is a scent that cheers me up whenever I smell it. (Blind buy though I don’t regret it AT ALL)

This smells like a "bitter" scent, it's most likely the gardenia. Very strong, smells a bit masculine, not at all sweet or fruity. It's a unique scent though but if you don't like the smell of gardenias I would not recommend

@aprilsandoval0704 Yikes. There's plenty of old-lady bashing on this site, thought I saw it all, but that takes the cake. Such a strange phenomenon that this is deemed "okay" to put in a fragrance review.

this perfume is pretty straight foward. Bergamot, gardenia and musk. it smells clean and just a little bit sweet. my boyfriend said i smell like an angel and i told him its called Angel gold!

After the initial alcoholic hit; this turns into a beautiful angelic scent with the warm musk and sweet Gardenia, gorgeously pleasant fragrance! Lovely 😍

who love bergamot will be love this perfume.. the scent will disappears in 4 hours..
