Angel Stories New York smells just like BBW Viva Vanilla, but not as peppery as Viva Vanilla. It is equally dark, but more wearable, no pungent smoky amber, just enough spice to make it seductive. It is not masculine imo. It smells perfectly feminine. VS Night is a masculine woody perfume, but New York smells feminine on me. It also has a lactonic tone to its woody vibe kinda waxy which I love, it smells so smooth and delicious. I consider it same league as Twilight Shimmer by Michael Kors, a very dark woody oud perfume similar to BBW Viva Vanilla, but even heavier and slightly juicy like wine from the berries. Here we don't have any berries or sour tone which I appreciate. The jasmine gives some freshness and makes it youthful, but also sophisticated. If you like more Vanilla then go for BBW Vanilla Romance. I like this more than Viva Vanilla.

Love this one. Smells like a softer, more mellow version of Black Tie. If you are looking for super sweet, fruit/floral bombs this ain’t your girl. But if you like Black Tie, Ebene Fume, a little Guerlain Vanille Planifolia extract 21, and any of the darker vanillas and woods, you would love this. Plus it’s soft enough to wear daytime yet still give you that mystery woman “who IS she?” type energy. Surprising longevity for a VS. wore it outside in Florida and still had scent bubble four hours later. Discontinued and on sale now at VS. shame it’s a keeper for me.

This is my absolute favorite perfume of all time, and of course it is now discontinued. I have searched for YEARS to find a comparable scent, and have come up with nothing even remotely close. Every time I've worn this out in public I get comments from people asking what I'm wearing as it smells so incredible. It is sexy, addictive, something you can picture VS model Adriana Lima wearing in a dark leather jacket, smokey eye makeup... God it is gorgeous. If anyone can help me find something similar, I would be so grateful!

Very light musky scent, what they call "you're skin but better" kind of scent. It's pretty, yet mild. A whisper of a scent. I feel like this has a slight sweetness that Eillish 2 does not. It's almost a baby powderish vibe on my skin but not quite.

I'm so sad to hear this many people say they don't like this fragrance. It's absolutely my favorite. The scent is so mature and deep, but sweet. It's not bitter like male fragrances.

I bought the mist of this on a whim in the SAS and it's sooooo gorgeous? Smoky, woody, a little sweet, sexy. The VS reviews are highly mixed with a lot of buyers unhappy about the masculine flair of this, but that's what I like about it. I happen to love unisex leaning frags and this is beautiful to me. It's not like it's straight-up cologne; if you like VS's "Love" frag then you would probably enjoy this as well (in terms of the spectrum of unisex notes). I'm hard to please. I don't like florals or juicy-fruity scents, but on the other hand a lot of masc-ish scents are too aquatic for me. I enjoy sweet frags and gourmands, as they feel feminine and delicious, but too much gives me a headache. This hits that balance of sweet, clean, and sexy. It smells expensive to me. I can't wait to wear this on a crisp fall night. I'm seriously considering going back into the SAS and picking up the EDP! Especially since this, tragically, is a discontinued offering.

I just got my bottle from the VS 2024 Semi Annual Sale. To my nose, it's a sheer woody floral scent. It smells clean and slightly sweet, almost vanilla-like. I can only smell it with my nose up to my arm. But the moment I got home, my fiance exclaimed I smelled just like a barbershop! He said it was mighty strong smelling when I walk by him. I was only wearing one spray. I'm inclined to agree with the previous reviewers that Angel Stories: NY is both "light" and "strong." It just depends on how your brain perceives it. I say it's feminine, and my fiance says it's very masculine.

I ordered this online during the semi-annual sale without smelling it first. This perfume should be advertised as a men’s cologne. It was very smoky/musky and I can’t picture a woman wearing this fragrance. This fragrance is very mature, quite strong, with high longevity and sillage. The most prominent notes are musk and ebony wood, while the sweetness of jasmine is just barely there. The scent is reminiscent of what a woman smells like after hugging a man with cologne and the two scents mix into a masculine musk with a hint of sweetness. Unfortunately this fragrance is a little too strong and masculine for my taste. Great for someone who likes strong/unisex cologne!

I absolutely do not like it!! It smells like a man’s cologne and it’s strong. Just one spray did it for me. I bought it in hopes of liking it and oh no!!!

I had high hopes for this one. Went to the store to sample it and it was shockingly light. I could barely smell it.

I ordered this perfume a couple of weeks ago during the Black Friday sales, and it arrived today. Unfortunately, it smells like nothing. I had to check the recent reviews to see if I was going insane or if I had been scammed. It turns out the most recent reviews say the same thing, while the older reviews are positive. It appears there must have been a batch without any fragrance. Additionally, I received a spray bottle with an atomizer that was stuck in the cap of the bottle. Very disappointing experience.

Listed notes are different here than on the VS retail website, so what is the truth? Anyway, this was an impulse purchase and I was shocked by how much I liked it. Smells like the mall before the internet. I sometimes feel hesitant to wear a certain type of perfume if I feel like it doesn't "match" the clothes I'm wearing, but I think Angel Stories NY will be an easy reach for me on these days.

This fragrance doesn't smell like much to me. It smells light and mostly like alcohol. It also did not help that this came defective in the mail.

This is so beautiful, a little darker from what vs usually offers, but in a good way. A great perfume for evenings.
