Autumn Shore

looove this, but like others have mentioned, it's more masculine/leathery/smoke-heavy than you might expect. perfectly unisex to me, and i agree with a previous reviewer that it would layer amazingly with coffee and whiskey from bath and body works since the woody and coffee notes are very similar, but coffee and whiskey is sweeter and creamier while this is smokier and dryer. personally, i don't get a ton of distinct coffee in this, but what i do get is black coffee or dark roasted beans, nothing milky. i agree with others who said there's something here that's hard to place in the opening--vintage but also kind of fresh at the same time? i'm not entirely sure what that is, but i don't mind it, and the drydown is even better and a bit sweeter. it's a strong scent but i find that it softens pretty quickly to an average-for-a-body-spray performance and longevity. i definitely don't think this is blind buy safe and it's not what i was expecting, but i'm pleasantly surprised nonetheless.

A really lovely smoky, sandalwood, and vanilla fragrance that has a hint of coffee to it! It’s very similar to B&BW Marshmallow Fireside (hand soaps, candles, and other home fragrances!) and Replica By The Fireplace... both of which I really love! It’s warm, softly sweet, cozy, and comforting! It’s not really beachy smelling like the name kind of suggests, but it’s still a really nice fragrance! I can see why some of the other reviewers are saying that it’s more masculine, but I find it to be a more feminine leaning fragrance even with the soft smokiness. I typically get great longevity with my fragrances (including body mists!), and Autumn Shores is no exception... I can smell it all day. Although, you might want to reapply once. The projection is nice too because it radiates out from me about an arm’s length.

This is a lovely scent which opens up with strong black coffee which turns into a smokey vanillaish scent. It does have a freshness which makes these heavy compounds not too overwhelming and blends all of them together in a perfect autumn scent. It`s cozy and fresh, like you ́d sitting next to a bonfire in a forest in autumn having a cup of warm coffee with vanilla creamer. This is the most complex scent from VS I have smelled so far. It`s not like Bonfire Bash from B&BW as Bonfire Bash is lacking the softness, well balanced soft vanilla and that freshness that gives the VS FFM a bit of crisp autumn air. As for the complexity I think I really prefer the VS scent as it ́s not too harsh, it`s a well balanced, lovely and cozy scent that is not as loud as Bonfire Bash.

One of the best scents from VS. It moves away from their typical youthful and cloying perfumes, this one is dark and sexy. It opens with smoke and coffee but not like a sweet latte more like realistic coffee beans with their characteristic bitterness, but it quickly gives way to a slight sweetness of vanilla. Once it dries, you can smell equals part of coffee beans and vanilla, not so much the smoke, and the sandalwood gives it a pleasant creaminess. It is so addictive, sexy and mysterious. Perfectly unisex. The lotion smells like the dry down of the mist but I find it sweeter, not very smoky. This layers beautifully with very sweet vanillas like Vanilla 28, Eilish, Cheirosa 71. It adds depth and something darker and sexy to those scents profiles.

It’s so similar to By the Fireplace - a tad sweeter. Layering both would work perfectly. Lasts a good while for a body spray too. I don’t pick up the sandalwood much. The coffee and vanilla adds the gourmand element but it’s not cupcake sweet because of the ice and smoke notes. I’m getting over the sickly sweet perfumes but I still love woody vanillas and this one is my new favourite. Cozy, warm, smokey and that coffee note just makes it even more beautiful. Edit: The sandalwood appears after an hour of wear and makes it a little men’s cologne/slightly soapy. I believe it’s the reason why this becomes unisex as you wear it. It’s been 6 hours since I put this on. Starting to fade now.

This scent is beautiful, feminine, misterious cozy. When you first spray this it is a little alcohol smell, then it dries and you feel a smoky sensation and then sweet morning coffee, is not a sweet as most victorias secret mists , it goes like a little powdery. Im in love . Este olor es hermoso,femenino, misterioso y acogedor. Cuando lo rocías por primera vez huele un poco a alcohol, entonces se seca y sientes algo ahumado seguido por café de la mañana. No es tan dulce como la mayoría de los mists de victoria secret. Es un poco atalcado, estoy enamorada.

Great smell. Smells pretty close to bbw coffee and whiskey. It layers well with many fragrances that have coffee notes. Or vanilla scented items. It's strong too. Smells pretty close to britney spears perogative. Great together. Also a great combo: vs autumn shores with vs bare vanilla (any flanker, especially cashmere), vanilla mocha martini bbw with black opium or ch good girl supreme. Bought at least 6 bottles of each because I love it that much and will use it daily.

This one surprised me. I can smell every note that's listed and I must say I didn't expect such smokey vanilla from VS since I've known them for their fruit-vanilla scents. Autumn Shore is smoky but the smoke doesn't take over everything, it's rather subtle and enhances the woodiness. It can give depth to your general vanilla perfumes, but on its own, it doesn't last well. I also think it can lean to unisex. I absolutely love it.

My bottle from 2023 is still going strong. Still got most of it left. Its one of my favorite scents. It is strong but if you want something similar (but is 10x lighter) but with no smoke or coffee, try cozy vanilla cashmere. Its more for the girlie that doesnt like dark scents. And it has similar fall autumn vibes.

absolutely love it! right amount of sweetness, smokiness, and ambery musk. reminds me of donna karan cashmere mist and b&bw cashmere & snowflakes. only complaint about Autumn Shore is that it's gone in a flash.

This is a really interesting scent. Sadly, it is not very strong or durable at all. Very weak. Someone said it smells like hospital gloves after a while, and honestly, I agree, but I like that. Once you reach the coffee, it makes the scent so much better. It is like an iced latte. ALL the notes are detectable. If you aren't a fan of vanilla (or smoke) this isn't for you. Smoke isn't too heavy but it is obvious. I'd say the Vanilla and Smoke are the most detectable. This, in my opinion, is great for any event, and you can't overspray easily since it is so weak (especially on clothes). I think if you like Black Opium YSL, you may like this scent, as they are somewhat similar. I prefer this from Black Opium. Perfect scent for bonfire night late summer early autumn if you live in a cold climate (August-November) :) Also a nice winter gourmand! ---------------------- IMPORTANT MESSAGE HERE -------------------------------- P.S this actually smells really lovely layered with the other Victoria's Secret body mist, Santal Berry Silk, which normally smells 'different' (negative connotations). It gives it layers and it smells amazing together. If you are a victim of Santal Berry Silk but happen to own this one too, give it a try, it'll make it much more tolerable. Smells like a delicious gourmand, trust me! Don't say I didn't let you know ;)

UPDATE I gave my mum the spray today. She put it on in the car where we were in close confines, and although I don't like it on my skin, it was GORGEOUS on her. Still no coffee or smoke though. In fairness, my mum said she detected a whiff of coffee, but nothing like the freshly brewed smell that either of us hoped for. For the next four hours, she was wafting it around with every movement, and that was just from one brief spray on her scarf. It even had better longevity and sillage than the perfume she was wearing. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants a vanilla with an autumnal undertone, but it might not be the best blind-buy if you don't necessarily like woody or earthy fragrances. I bought this for my mum and decided to have a cheeky spritz! It's not how I expected; I don't smell coffee or even smoke - just sweet sandalwood, (my sense of smell isn't at all refined so it's possible that nuanced notes are lost on me), which I'm sure my mum will love even though I don't. It's just got that earthiness to it that ruins it for me. After about half an hour to an hour, the sandalwood lessens, but it's still enough to prevent the vanilla from being too feminine. The sillage is good, and I've tried to wash it off but to no avail haha.

This scent is a perfect example of why I tell people to never overlook VS body mists. I am fighting the urge not to buy backups. The opening is surprisingly complicated. A heavy/musky vanilla, some woodiness, a touch of coffee, all wrapped in smoke. The smoke smells like it just wafted off of a toasted marshmallow. There’s also something “antique” smelling that I can’t quite put my finger on. As the fragrance settles, all of the notes blend together and soften out. You are wrapped in a sweet and cozy pajama-type scent. Perfect for bedtime! This is in the same wheelhouse as B&BW’s Fireside Flurries and Bonfire Bash. It’s also a distant cousin of Ariana Grande’s R.E.M. In my opinion, this is what Skylar’s Vanilla Sky wanted to be but couldn’t achieve. The only downside is there isn’t much projection, and it doesn’t last long. But that’s to be expected with body mists. I’ll just throw it in my bag to reapply during the day.

The lotion and mist work really well as a base for layering with Black Opium (and I’m sure it’ll work beautifully with By the Fireplace, too. I’ll have to try that this fall.) Really sexy smokey coffee/vanilla fragrance. It definitely isn’t for everyone and it’s totally not blind-buy safe, but, as a witchy woman who wears a lot of dark clothes, this is my vibe. I think some are calling this masculine just because of how smokey it is, but the sweetness from the vanilla totally makes it most wearable for a woman imo. Glad I snatched this while I could.

Reminds me a lot of Jimmy Choo Fever fragrance, but less sweet and much smokier. I would definitely pair these two together since I love Fever on paper but it gets too sweet on my skin/hair. Autumn Shore is good on its own, but I’m going to pair it with sweet vanilla-ish perfumes to add some smokiness and spicy twist to them. The coffee note is very distinctive to my nose, and not some sweet latte but dark-roasted coffee beans.

A nice, light, cozy scent. I love to wear this to bed paired with the lotion. I get vanilla and coffee and a slight bit of smokiness but it's nothing at all like BTF. Occasionally I'll notice a weird scent of ash on my skin, not smoke, but literal cold ash. It seems to come and go. It's not enough to ruin it.

Honestly, all I get with this is an extremely smoky scent. I don't get too much sweetness but I layer it with sdj 71 and it adds a sweetness to it that I wanted. It sucks bc the notes in this made me think it would be a nice rich coffee/vanilla scent, but still smells delicious layered with anything sweet.

don’t get me wrong, i love this, but it mostly just reads as smoke, sandal wood, and then i get a kind of hospital gloves scent from it? just wondering if anyone else had the same experience because as far as i can see, nobody else has 😭

Smells really nice in the bottle, but whenever I spray it on my skin I can only smell smoke and barely any of the other notes. The lotion makes the other notes a little more obvious though. I wear the mist in combination with the lotion so it’s a little less smoky.

I don't like it at all. Smells very masculine, very smoky. Imo there's barely any vanilla. This smells like a bbw candle called marshmallow fireside. The scent is not bad but I hate it on me. Btw it smells NOTHING like bonfire bash like some people are saying

Smells very sweet but the smoke is so intense, if you aren’t a smoker people will just assume you are bc of the smell... Serves its name right though, it reminds me of lattes and dead autumn leaves 🍁

Hmmm... it seems I’m the only one that only picked up on vanilla. To me, it smelled similar to bare vanilla and longevity was terrible. Was underwhelmed by this one.

This reminds me SO much of Sweet Whiskey from B&BW, which I also didn't like. I don't get any coffee notes. The sweetness in this (I guess it's from the vanilla) is the sharp kind that stings my nose. The smoke note is very prominent though, so I can see this being a good choice for anyone looking for that! It's just not what I was hoping for.

This smells exactly like the inside of a leather jacket. Iced coffee note is very much barely there. This smells very masculine therefore I’d never guess this were a fragrance from Victoria’s Secret. I returned mine. Aside from that, if you like leathery masculine scents it is well done.

I hated this. Majority of the scent was smoke and leather. There is a leather note in this, that is very strong and masculine. The vanilla is here, but not the star. It is a long lasting fragrance though. It remained on me for 12 hrs and the sillage was arm's length too.

I bought it based on Victoria Secret website description and it was too smoky for me. I did not adapt to it

when I saw this online I was quite surprised. victoria’s secret is known for doing sweet-floral very feminine scents - so this one sounded appealing. I got it today and I can confirm that this is amazing. smells exactly like an iced coffee, but more smokey! persistence is unsurprisingly low but fuck it, for the price this is a little gem. it will be a delight to wear in the colder months.

My teacher bought it for me for my birthday, knowing that u was a vanilla type of girl and im really greatfull for the gift. However i think the smoke scent lowkey ruins the perfume. İt has a really nice cofee and vanilla scent but the SMOKE ruins everything for me. Without the smoke note it would be a better scent but still i give it a 7/10

Smells good the first few seconds but then turns overly smoky on me. It’s to the point that it’s all I can smell. Returned it but I’m jealous of all the people loving it because I wanted to love it so much!
