Bare Vanilla Untamed

I love this more than the Original Bare Vanilla. At first sniff, it reminded me of BBW Bonfire Bash with a hint of floral. After a while, it's 100% gourmand vanilla scent. When I'm in an air-conditioned room, BV Untamed dries down to a custard-filled chocolate donut. Under the sun, the amber and floral notes becomes more apparent. I don't get a lot of that smokiness. It really depends on our body chemistry. Longevity is superb but the sillage is weak. If you wear fragrances to turn heads, this won't satisfy you. In comparison, BV Untamed smells sweeter than Classic BV (the new releases smell weaker! ugh), BV Decadent (smells fresher due to the amber), and BBW Bonfire Bash (more woody and smokey).

This is a richer vanilla note than that of bare vanilla...more almost reminiscent of vanilla lace. That honestly is what drew me into purchasing multiple bottles. However, the twist is the softly laced apple blossom and the slew of unrevealed notes...definitely a combo of woods, spice & a touch of smoke. I definitely get an undercurrent of patchouli in this one and maybe even orris. Projection & longevity are fabulous for just a mist! This one becomes heady & almost cloying in warmer weather on me. So it's a perfect fall/winter easy reacher!!!

the most beautiful body mist flanker i’ve ever seen!! not only is the bottle beautiful, but the juice in there is heaven sent. it smells like the actual bare vanilla at first, but when it’s dried down, it smells like kayali’s vanilla 28 mixed with bare vanilla and bonfire bash. i recommend this for every gourmand vanilla girl, such as me. and no, u do not get any apple from the apple blossom, which is good for me, bcs u get that beautiful warm and ambery vanilla instead. definitely a safe blind-buy!! x

This does smell a lot like bare vanilla, but there’s some wood and smokiness to it. It doesn’t last too long even with layering it with the lotion but it stays on the clothes quite a bit and that’s actually where the wood and smokiness come in more than on the skin. It can give me the same vibe as MixBars vanilla bourbon, they’re not the same but I think they can smell similar to some, if not that’ll be a great perfume to layer with this scent anyways.

honestly this is one of my ultimate fav fragances, it has the strenght of a quality perfume. And the smell is so complex, delicious and sexy: vanilla, floral wood and the smokyness of it. I try to use it only in special ocasions because i have never found another bottle of this flanker. If anyone has a legit dupe (not vanilla 28 nor vanilla bourbon), tell me.

I wish they would put this into their permanent collection. It lasts pretty well for a body spray, I like layering it to bring out the vanilla notes of perfumes more. To me it smells exactly like Kayali Vanilla 28, a rich, sugary, warm vanilla that makes you smell delicious and edible in the best way possible.

I think this smells very ”mature” compared to the other vs fragrances. It’s a powdery mature kind of vanilla but not too sweet at all. It’s perfect for layering! I mostly layer this with dior addict or sometimes jpg la belle, works awesome

Wow, am I really the first review on here? Well, I got this body mist for Christmas, and I love it! This one, and the regular Bare Vanilla are superb. I don't usually buy body sprays, but I like how long these ones last on me. Beautiful!

I agree w reviewers saying this smells smoky, and to me it was giving cigarette ash w vanilla and not a good vibe. I ended up decluttering this one. Bare Vanilla is superior, though they would do well to revive Vanilla Lace.

Actually just one of the best fragrances ever. Vanilla bean with incense and woods, deep and warm. Ugh I’m so sad it’s discontinued

This reminded me of the classic VS scent Endless Love. Maybe because of the apple blossom.

Lately VS has been doing really well with the bare vanilla flankers, I don't like the original , it smells like playdough to me This is a rich vanilla scent ,reminds me of that pure rich vanilla extract u use for baking a cake or cookies or that dark caramel sauce when u make a cream caramel 🍮 The apple Blossom notes prevents it from being a bitter vanilla concentrat & keeps it fresh& fruity I don't detect any smokiness unlike many reviews here Perfect balance in my opinion

this is nice and sweet and reminds me of vanilla 28 vanilla 28 layered with this and maybe a nice vanilla oil like choco musk from al rehab is a FAB combo. 10/10! its a body mist so not much to write home about complexity or performance or anything nice enough to throw on to feel cosy comfy and edible gourmand lovers can easily keep a bottle for a go to situation very winter cosy and of course has that alcoholic smell on first spray as with many mists but yup I do enjoy it

It’s a sweet vanilla and while it says floral, it smells smokey. It layers fine with By The Fireplace By Replica. It’s not bad! 6/10

this is my favorite body spray i own. i prefer it over the original bare vanilla though they are both nice. i cant help myself and i usually layer it with whatever perfume im wearing that day. i dont think it reminds me of a cake-like vanilla so its not sickeningly sweet and im always in the mood to spray it. i find it to be very fresh and comforting. its just my fav variation of the bare vanilla line and im sad its labelled as limited edition. i picked up 2 backup bottles when they were on sale :p

I don't really like this... There's a smell I can't tolerate. It smells so sweet but mix with the woods it's weird. There is something in the smell that reminds me of cloud and I can't stand this fragrance.

Smells prominently of vanilla BUT OMG it has a floral note that just ruins it for me. Idk if it’s the apple blossom but I HATE the “weird green note” in this. Definitely not what I was expecting. Wanted something creamier. Overall 6/10

This smells kinda harsh/smokey. Something about this one is also very gross in the dry down after a while. Ended up giving it away. The very opening smells good but after that this scent turns into something awful on my skin.

This scent is TERRIBLE. I used to have this because of all the tiktok and youtube hype that was saying it smelled like marshmallows and a sweeter bare vanilla. No. This smells extremely smokey, musky, and just gross. I have NEVER gotten more COMPLAINTS on a scent than this. People were saying it smelled like BO, that it smelled musky, cologne like, and way too strong. I ended up giving it to my sister because no matter how hard I tried I couldn't like this. Never again repurchasing, would NEVER reccomend. 0/10

I almost picked this up for 5.99 at the sami annual sale, but am trying to limit how much perfume/body mists I buy. What changed my mind of this is how sickeningly sweet is was. I love, love, love sweet scents, but this was too much for me somehow. After reading the comments below mine, I agree it does resemble Bonfire Bash and some of those similarly smoky/marshmallow sprays Bath & Body Works put out in the fall.

This performs like an EDP in all honesty. I had this stored in a bag and some spilled onto the fabric and you smell this any time you get within 5 feet of the bag even now. It must be the vanilla and spice. It’s spicy, slightly boozy, and woodsy. It lasts for days on clothes, I wish this was the permanent bare vanilla.

A little Bare Vanilla dna, but also softly of Bonfire Bash. A more subtle version of the smoky vanilla. Idk why I continue to buy VS body sprays, but they’re a deal at $5.99 during the sale. I think they’re overpriced.

Great smelling! More fruity than bare vanilla. I think I probably prefer the regular bare vanilla over this but honestly haven’t worn this enough yet to say for sure. Good stuff tho.

Smokey and deep but still light and fresh. I've already planned to layer this with my fruity floral scents for the spring. It's an extra oomph to the staple Bare Vanilla.
