Bombshell Isle

Bombshell Isle opens with a breeze of coastal air; apart from a touch of sea salt, I can't describe the warm, fresh, airy solar accord in detail, but it is very realistic. There is also plenty of melon - at first I'd thought that it was definitely honeydew, but after several wears I decided that it watermelon & that there is a squeeze of clementine and also some kind of berry in the background that I can't quite identify. The coconut is always present, but becomes more fully developed alongside the gentle florals. I get some heliotrope and orange blossom with the peony - I personally can't separate any jasmine, but it is in the majority of Bombshell flankers so I'm guessing that there may be traces here. The gentle sea salt breeze works wonderfully with the soft florals - it gives you the sense of strolling near a coastline with the scent of nearby flowers being carried in the breeze. The lingering sea salt becomes slightly more sharp, but the coconut turns more creamy as it combines with some sandalwood, which prevents the sharpness from becoming too much. I also get something subtle that brings sand to minded, which compliments the coconut & sea salt wonderfully. The longevity is good for a lighter seasonal mass-produced release; it is between the six/seven hour longevity range, and never goes extremely close to the skin. No complaints from me. Bombshell Isle smells very similar to the summer '19 LE Tease Dreamer; I really enjoyed Tease Dreamer scent-wise, but it has poor longevity and goes close to the skin really quickly. I really enjoy bombshell Isle and highly recommend it; it is an improvement on something that I enjoyed years ago, in both scent and formula.

Successful blind buy. Coconut water in a perfume as stated below. This is the most gourmand coconut perfume I’ve come across. Victoria Secret always does coconuts perfectly (Coconut Passion, Bronzed Coconut, Coco & Pineapple, Coco Chill). This fun scent diverts from the million solar sunscreen “coconut” (there’s never any coconut) white florals available. I still love those, but I always wish I can detect a photorealistic coconut. This is that. It is sweet yet the freshness from the peony still remains. I love the sweet floral notes & the marine accords add a twist to it. There’s some saltiness from the “ocean air” note listed on the box; it singes my nose a bit whenever I first spray it - kind of like sniffing the ocean breeze and it tickles your nose a bit. This goes away and you’re left with a drizzled coconut water/ hair conditioner scent. This will be amazing for everyday summer. Now I’m thinking of getting the biggest size because I know they’ll discontinue this one eventually. It is the best Bombshell released yet. edit: Didn’t think this one projects but I wore this to the movies and the guy at the concession stand said “your perfume smells really nice.” I wore this to my trip to PR and I used up my whole bottle. It worked perfectly for that weather.

This perfume is one that I constantly get complimented on by men. It is NOT heavy coconut, in fact, I don't really get much coconut from this at all. Instead, it is a sweet floral with hints of 'salt' (might be the 'sea notes' mixed with the tonka). It is a unique fragrance, perfect for summer that lasts on clothing. However, if you are looking for 'tropical', this is NOT the perfume you'd be looking for. But if you're seeking more of the 'essence' of a luxury cruise or private island, this is for you.

I feel like a mermaid that just got out of the sea with this.. Smells very much like sea air and seaweed. And the sweetness makes it feminine and how does the sea become feminine. By producing mermaids. I am indeed a mermaid and I love the beach and the oceans so this is so mermaidy me. Tha k u Victoria's Secret and yves cassar.

This is my secret weapon. My summer soulmate. My night and day. I have a backup bottle and body spray, it’s THAT serious. If someone told me I could only use this perfume for the rest of my life, I’d be perfectly ok with that. even in the cold. in sickness and in health.

This was a blind buy and one of my luckier ones. It smells beautiful and summery, but I wish it was more coconut than floral. The coconut for me is really mild and it smells like a slightly more marine version of the OG Bombshell.

Glad i have full bottles of this because it is so good and blends well with Ellis BROOKLYNS GUAVA GRANITA . layered yum! And no it doesn't smell like an old lady...far from that. This is pure beachy aquatic yummy.

I love this. Love the original bombshell and this is a nice summer take, not so much coconut, more salty ocean air and sand and white floral. Just sweet enough but also fresh. Blind buy and happy I bought it!

Smells so good and beachy. Coconut scent isn't too overpowering but perfectly proportional to the rest of the scents, letting them shine too. Light, calm, peaceful fragrance.

wow what a absolutely beautiful fragrance! coconutty,salty & fresh! absolutley divine highlly reccommend this for a summer scent.I got the mist & longevity is quite good too.

This is a good one! I grab it right of the bat! Definitely summer beachy salty and floral. This does last longer than most VS fragrances on me. Highly recommended 10/10

Just what I have been looking for. Aquatic, some floral, lots of coconut. Amazing for summer, or whenever you want to pretend you're at the beach.

So easy so simple so fun! The coconut isn’t terribly nutty, it’s soft and compliments the sea notes. An easy grab during the summer time!

This smells amazing, like a tropical vacation in a bottle. The coconut is done nicely and blends perfectly with the other notes.

A fresh, floral, semi-sweet, marine aquatic fragrance. I really pick up on the sea notes and the peony. The coconut, tonka bean, and sandalwood are all very light in this. So, overall it’s just a fresh and watery peony scent with just subtle hints of the other notes. It does get a little bit creamier on me during the dry down though. This is definitely not what I’d expected when I received mine (a blind buy fortunately during a sale). The notes sounded like something I’d love since I’m a big fan of beachy/coconut fragrances, but unfortunately there’s barely any coconut scent to this. It’s not bad, but just not what I was hoping for. I much prefer the Very Sexy Oasis that I got in the same order to Bombshell Isle. Bombshell Isle actually somewhat reminds me of the new Clean Reserve H2Eau fragrances. I only have Nectarine Petal and Brilliant Peony, but they both have a similar watery note to them. Brilliant Peony is the one that it really reminds me of, although it’s more floral than this one. I do get good longevity with Bombshell Isle, it lasts all day on me. The projection is nice too, about an arm’s length. If you’re a beachy/coconut fragrance lover like myself I highly recommend these ones instead: Tom Ford Soleil Blanc, Replica Beach Walk, Nest Sunkissed Hibiscus, Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess, JHAG Lust for Sun, and JHAG Vanilla Vibes. If you prefer body mists these are excellent ones: Sol de Janeiro Rio Radiance, Coco Cabana 39, 62, B&BW Coco Paradise and At the Beach, and Ellis Brooklyn Sand.

Victoria's Secret Bombshell and most of its flankers always read a little too sweet to my nose. But this is so far my favorite one. It's a lovely, fresh and flirty coconut fragrance, perfectly tailor made for warm weather. It'd consider it mostly appropriate for daytime, but I think it could work as a fun and lighthearted date night scent as well. It's a sweet, tropical coconut, reminiscent of a piña colada. I can smell pineapple, or at least a hint of fruit, deep in there–a hint of the very fruity OG Bombshell DNA. The marine accords read more as salt air as opposed to aquatic and fresh. However, being a light and fruity sweet fragrance, Bombshell Isle is an intimate and inoffensive fragrance, with close-sitting sillage and OK longevity, nothing extravagant. I really like this fragrance, but I do wish its longevity and performance were just a tad better. Otherwise, this would make a great starter fragrance for teens, or a really likeable and easy reach for adults. It's just so lovable! As an aside, this is the prettiest-looking of all the Bombshells. That aquamarine blue juice and nautical string at the topper are both gorgeous.

The Bombshell line is successful for a reason, these are crowd pleasers. With that though, you often get these canned, overproduced cheap copies of copies that are really made to simply sell in great quantities. This is better than their usual. Dreamer for example, uses the same cheap coconut that so many others do, which to my nose dries down to that car air freshener that hangs from the rearview mirror of my dad’s truck. Pleasant for a car, not so much for one’s skin. The coconut in this one however, and hear me out, dries down to the same accord at the end of Lalique Soleil. Of course it starts out like a mermaid balayage drenched in punch or however you describe the sweetie sweets VS churns out regularly, that’s how they draw the masses. Let this dry down though, not only does it seem to be of better quality, but also lasts for days on clothes. If you get the chance, compare its finish to Lalique Soleil, you’ll see what I mean. This is better than their usual and it’s really quite lovely.

Don't think I've ever encountered a smooth coconut mixed with marine & salt notes before. It's amazingly fresh & easy to wear. I didn't purchase (yet) as I have quite a coconut collection of options. However, nothing is anywhere near the same as this one. I honestly have been disappointed with VS coconut scents in the past. Maybe it's just me, as so many seem to love them. But I find they're usually too coconut forward with little else that really comes through. I like a lil complexity and layering to my scents. This over simplication of scents that hit in the late 1990's & early 2000's made things pretty boring in the scent world. Glad to see that VS seems to be veering back a bit in the other direction.

A perfectly easy and refreshing daytime summer scent. In the open I almost get watery cucumber but it quickly shifts more toward green floral stems and salt. The coconut and sandalwood give it a nutty dry sweetness that’s just right. I’ve sweat a lot today between the gym and yard work in 86 Fahrenheit, this was like a cool refreshing drink after. I am however not a fan of it in the winter, its airiness gets iced out and the notes go stale, but with the heat it develops quite differently. I received my bottle in February but held off on any reviews until now because I knew it had to have its time and place. It won’t ever be a signature in my world, but it’s perfect for a day exactly like today.

Bombshell isle mist: Starts with coconuty-fruity +sharp floral aquatic notes. At first I was a bit disappointed that the coconut disappeared so quickly and all I could smell was the peony but I'm surprised that this really changed after a couple of hours and turned into a soft blend of watery coconut+peony on my skin! I can still smell a hint of this aquatic coconut which is adding a fragile sweetness to the fresh peonies! Love the dry down. Longevity is good but don't expect much projection. 7.5/10

I get a lot of compliments on this one :) this perfume is my beloved one! I feel so feminine when I wear it! It smells clean, fresh and very sweet at the same time. I don't pick up any coconut and neither do people around me. They just say I smell 'sweet' :) it is tickling the nose when u smell it, the effect of it is similar to when you smell champagne and feel the bubbles.

I haven't loved every Bombshell seasonal release, but I do like this one. Isle is a great name for it. To me, it doesn't have that sharpness (or, sourness) that classic bombshell does. I'm waiting for this to go on sale before going for a full size, though.

Perfect for Summer! It smells like a lovely day at the beach. Soft florals, creamy coconut, and fresh ocean air! Definitely a compliment grabber!

I'm so dissatisfied. If your wanting this for the coconut like I did - don't waste your money! It's an aquatic Peony. That's it. Smells like any other watery, pink floral. Opening is better than dry down. Nothing lactonic, no coconut. I wanted this so badly based on reviews here, youtube and tik tok. I'm in Australia and I had to order it from the States... Not worth it.

I was excited to try this new release. It is a more unique take on coconut - it has a marine, ocean-like accord mixed with light floral accord. It's not bad, but there's something about this blend that is overwhelming to my nose. There are other VS scents I enjoy more. I love the packaging and the iridescent string attached to the bottle.

Ughhh this scent would have been perfect if it had more coconut and not so much of that sea note. I ended up returning it :( too aquatic for my liking plus the peony was sharp and screechy to top it all off. Total disappointment.

i got this expecting more sea & coconut and i get a fresh floral. i'm still deciding if i like this or not.... :(

This is a toned down version/repackage of Victoria's Secret Vanilla Tropic with bright lotus... They thought no one would notice...but fine I was hoping for a new scent...

Smelled like an old OLD lady at church in the early 2000s 🤢 but dried down to smell like baby powder kind of.

Absolutely not an Aquatica scent. Hardly any coconut and it is heavy on the peony and more floral gourmand, I'm returning it unless someone messages me and wants to swap in Canada

A sweeter version of Bath and bodyworks salt water Breeze

Smells great layered with bare vanilla splash mist and lotion. I like this combo. This perfume is awesome for summer. I feel the vanilla in bare vanilla splash evens out the coconut and vanilla so i dont smell one more than the other....and it smells great. one of my favorite bombshells that works in the summer or start of fall when weather is still hot. its beautiful. bought me a 1.7 oz bottle and a 3.4 oz bottle. i used to love bombshell original but i dont anymore. this one and bombshell magic have replaced it for me. also i do love bombshell in bloom. Also smells amazing with very sexy sea. Gives off a great aquatic smell. This is my fave bombshell for summer and fall. Bombshell magic and in bloom are my fave for spring.

One of the most beautiful coconut fragrances I’ve ever experienced. Bombshell Isle is my idea of a perfect sunlit coconut: juicy, bright, crystal-clean, yet wrapped in a gentle, feminine warmth. It projects incredibly well, creating a luminous, nose-catching aura, and its longevity is impressive for something that feels so easy, breezy, and summery. In the heat, it becomes wonderfully refreshing and uplifting, like a cool breath of air on sun-kissed skin. This scent also takes me straight back to summer vacations walking along the beach and the seaside town pier, passing little alleys filled with cotton-candy stands, and catching the salty breeze after an evening swim. Simply beautiful, easy-going.

This is what Aquamarine would smell like from the movie "Aquamarine". It smells like a vacation in Bali with no care in the world. This is aquatic without smelling like sunscreen, and the coconut is more of a coconut water or milk. This is joined by some beautiful, beachy florals and a touch of a vanillac sandalwood. Thr longevity has gotten much better as I've had my bottle a few months. When I put it on before bed, I can still smell it quite well the next day!

Refreshing. Sweet. Clean. Bombshell Isle is the smell of drinking cold coconut water by the beach as the shade of the nearby palm trees shield you from the scorching sun. The sweetness from the peony gives Bombshell Isle a bit of a twist compared to other beach themed coconut perfumes. An excellent perfume for the summer, or for everyday wear if you live in a tropical island like me.

I got this as a rollerball at the time, but I’ll have to get a bigger bottle on ebay now that it’s discontinued because it smells SO GOOD. I was happily surprised by the lack of coconut. In colder months, this is more sea notes with a hint of floral. In summer, this is mainly a sweet floral with a hint of fresh, but perfect for summer because it’s not overwhelming.

I love the coconut note in this. But the sea note ruins everything. Makes it smell like a mens cologne

On my skin this scent is Escada Santorini Sunrise with almost no difference. Maybe a bit more throw?
