Chrome Peony

A really pretty fruity floral fragrance. Smells like juicy raspberries with a tiny bit of fizz. The peony blends into the background. I wear this during hot weather as it becomes even juicier that way. Quite generic, but hey, there are just days when I'm in the mood for simple scents like these. I sometimes layer this with other raspberry perfumes as well. I also love the metallic packaging.

I'm a bit mad at myself for not buying more of this. This one is almost delectable. Juicy raspberry and call me crazy, but this is almost creamy like? I have no clue why, but this gives off raspberry yogurt to me.

It’s insane that I hated this when I first bought it but when I took it out of the declutter box I liked it! Now I wish I had purchased the matching lotion, but I’m glad I have the mist.

The raspberry gives it a bit of tartness but not too much, it's mostly sweet, a bit floral. I would expect a fizzy quality from the champagne but this doesn't have it, I would not have guessed it has a champagne note, it's actually more creamy. I got the lotion and body mist during the winter sale, but I ended up selling the mist and using only the lotion. The mist is okay, but I didn't see myself using it a lot. It reminds me somewhat of Velvet Petals, but I like that one better.

Chrome Peony is pretty...and exceedingly sweet. I saw this at a thrift store today and was happy to smell it because I had read decent reviews. To me however, the sweetness is verging on corn syrup, and smells of hyper-sweet soda with a hint of berry. However, the berry isn't tart at all, it smells like a berry punch, and I personally find it cloying. There is a distinct effervescent quality about this, but I personally never did care for sparkling berry punch or the type of New Year's fruit bowl types of drinks that this evokes. I do think it lives up to the notes, but my tolerance for hype-sweet berries and wine is pretty low. I passed on the bottle, but I hope it finds a good home 🥂
