Coconut Passion

Beachy, tropical, sweet, warm, creamy, fresh, lush, floral, smooth, feminine, sensual, seductive, flirty, chic, charming, addictive, delectable, tempting, alluring, radiant, cozy, comforting, gourmand, unique On me this is a sweet and creamy tropical coconut and warm and sensual vanilla scent with touches of delicate white floral scents of sweet Lily-of-the-valley and comforting chamomile. There’s also a subtle scent of aloe vera which adds a bit of freshness to the overall scent that keeps it from becoming heavy, or cloying, but still letting the warmth and creaminess shine nicely throughout. Overall, this is well blended, and very well balanced I know that this is a fairly well known fragrance that’s been around for many years, and isn’t usually associated with having a unique quality to it. What I think makes this a unique coconut vanilla scent is that it does have a somewhat beachy vibe to it, but not anything super tropical, fruity, or with a sun tan lotion like scent. It’s a lovely sweet gourmand scent, but without being overly edible, or extremely sweet. I really enjoy the Lily-of-the-valley, chamomile, and aloe vera notes, they’re a big part of why I find this to be unique. The florals aren’t the typical tropical/exotic/solar kinds that are usually found in coconut scents (Tiare flower, frangipani, ylang ylang, jasmine, ect), so they bring a sweet, delicate, and comforting feel to the fragrance. The aloe vera brings a pretty freshness to it, but not the typical sea notes/marine/aquatic sorts of notes that you usually see for adding a fresh scent. The lack of any fruit or citrus notes also adds to the uniqueness. It’s also not an overly complex scent, but not completely basic either, so I think that actually adds to its beauty and uniqueness too. This definitely feels feminine to me, and like it’s pretty suitable for women of all ages. I prefer wearing this the most during the warm weather of spring, summer, and early fall, but I do think it can work year round. I even think it’s suitable for the majority of occasions besides maybe the fancy ones. It’s such a pretty, pleasant, and non-offensive scent that seems to be a pretty big crowd pleaser. I bought this from the VS catalog when it very first came out (2010?) along with more of their Vanilla Lace. I still wear both of them pretty regularly to this day, they’re 2 of my all time favorite VS mists. The performance is excellent, especially for a body mist (as with all fragrances it’s even better when I pair the lotion with it). The longevity is great, it lasts throughout the entire day on me. The projection is very good too, it radiates out at least 2-3 feet from me. I’m sure the perfume is so great because I still have the original formula, but I swear it performs just as well as a lot of my perfumes. It’s also super affordable, so I definitely consider it to be an excellent deal. I’m a huge fan of beachy/coconut scents in general. Sweet, vanilla, coconut, lactonic, tropical, powdery, luminous, feminine, sensual, flirty, charming, whimsical, dreamy, delightful, alluring, tempting, addictive, inviting, cozy, comforting I bought this whenever it first launched back around 2010 or so, and I still have my OG bot! I remember getting this in the mist and body btter alo itoth formulas in Vanilla Lace (which I also still own and absolutely love!). The coconut here gives off more of a creamy gourmand vibe rather than anything really tropical. Intertwined with the vanilla it’s really beautiful! The lily-of-the-valley and aloe vera keep this lighter instead of going into any kind of super sweet fully gourmand. This is THE coconut vanilla scent! Especially if you’re looking for one without a sun tan lotion- like vibe! I actually get really good performance with my formula of Coconut Passion, especially considering that it’s a mist. The longevity is great, it lasts 8+ hours on my skin. The projection is moderate to strong as it radiates out at least an arm’s length from me. That made this version of the mist a really excellent value. To me, Victoria's Secret body mists and EDTs are what I wear when a "perfume" would be too much. They're what I reach for if I'm doing laundry, running errands, exercising, or when I know I'll be around people with asthma, allergies, or perfume sensitivities. Not everyone loves patchouli or jasmine like I do and I try not to assault my more delicate family members with scents they find offensive. I've never met someone that VS mists offended but I also don't douse myself. They are light and they will not knock your socks off with lasting power or silage. They will, though, wrap you up in a nice, cozy, uncomplicated (generally only having 2 or 3 notes) scent that will last like an average body mist. Although I don't like many of their perfumes (which I find to be usually overpriced without the quality to match the price tag), I love their mists and EDTs. They're simple and inexpensive, especially if you can find them on sale. Although Love Spell and Coconut Passion, which are my favorites, are in no way complex or ground breaking, no one expects them to be. They're just pleasant and pretty. They're ageless and casual to me, and I think they can appeal to a 13 year old as much as a 60 year old.

a more addictive smell than most other frags. i tried it during freshman year of college because my roommate and i shared our fragrances, then proceeded to think about it for literally over a year before i finally bought it myself, since i know i'm normally not a fan of coconut fragrances since they all smell either like shampoo or sunscreen to me. but the coconut here is more of a toasted coconut and coconut milk, rather than coconut water. it's sweet and creamy and delicious, perfect for everyday since it's gourmand enough to hold its own in cooler weather, but still has that coconut note and some aquatic touches in the background that make it suitable for summer. if you're looking for a true coconut scent tho, this is mostly dominated by vanilla and gives more bakery vibes than tropical. because of its gourmand qualities, it lasts longer than other coconut fragrances, but ultimately it's still a mist. it is pretty loud when you first spray it though!

A really lovely, sweet, and warm coconut vanilla! I bought this when it very first came out, maybe 2010 or 2011, and I still love and wear it to this day! I’m a huge fan of beachy/coconut fragrances and vanilla gourmands and this is kind of a mix of both! I don’t find it overly beachy smelling like fragrances like Replica Beach Walk, Estée Lauder Bronze Goddess, or JHAG Lust For Sun, but more of a sweet, creamy and comforting gourmand coconut vanilla! I typically get great longevity with fragrances (even body mists!) and Coconut Passion is no exception, it lasts all day! The projection is good too, it radiates out a couple/few feet from me! Coconut Passion actually reminds me of Sol de Janeiro Coco Cabana 39. It’s definitely not a dupe, but there’s a bit of a similarity. I’m thinking it’s the sweet, warm, creamy, and gourmand scent of this because 39 was a very sweet, yummy, gourmand coconut fragrance.
