Dream Angels Heavenly

Beautiful, romantic, feminine, sensual, alluring, warm, creamy, softly sweet, powdery, musky, floral, softly woody, slightly fresh, gentle, delicate, inviting, elegant, dreamy, cozy, comforting This one is such a classic! I still have my original bottle from around ‘08 and I’m very thankful for that! I have not personally tried the new “Heavenly” formula/version, but I’ve heard that it’s not as good as the original, so I’ll have to test for myself. So, this review is for the original formula one that’s in the bottle pictured on this page. I mainly pick up on the vanilla, musk, and sandalwood the most prominently. The next ones I notice well are orchid, peony, Iris, and violet which brings a mixture of soft and powdery florals. I also get some mandarin orange, freesia, and lotus that add just a slight freshness to the overall scent. I do get just a soft whisper of cardamom which gives it just a bare hint of fresh yet warm spiciness. I also feel like there’s some amber in this because I get that scent of golden warmth that amber always brings. Overall, on me it’s a softly sweet, warm, creamy, and powdery musky vanilla scent with soft and powdery florals, and a slight freshness. It’s so very beautiful, romantic, warm, elegant, cozy, and comforting. I think this can easily be worn by any age group, and for the majority of occasions. I feel that the scent really shines during the colder months of fall and winter, but could be worn year round. It’s a very easy reach, a compliment getter, and an inoffensive scent (probably even a good choice for health care workers). I get great performance with Dream Angels Heavenly. The longevity is really good, it lasts the majority of the day on me. The projection is nice too, it radiates out about an arm’s length from me. The original Dream Angels Heavenly (the white cap version) is my favorite out of all the Angel versions. It smells very unique with its distinct cardamom note along with the soft woodland musk with a hint of an almost mossy ivy and powdery vanilla. It's one of those rare concoctions that doesn't smell like anything else I know of which is quite an accomplishment for a white musk. Another impressive quality is that it doesn't smell like cotton candy, Vanilla Fields, soap, old lady, rubbing alcohol or bug spray like too many of the other white musks I've tried and been disappointed with so I always run back to my Heavenly. When I had it I wore it a lot at first for about a year or two when it first came out but over the years the last bottle I had lasted forever because it was so popular that I can easily smell it on other people. A coworker from 10 years ago wore what I think was Halo and was very heavy handed with it so it was weird smelling her wearing a flanker of my Heavenly. That's really when I stopped wearing it every day. A a few years ago I found a little travel Heavenly and fell in love all over again. When I ran out of that one I had to have another bottle because I weirdly have to have this in my collection now or else I'm not happy. My guess is I'll probably keep doing that until I can't find it anymore. I'm committed for the long haul, till death do us part! This beauty definitely deserved its Fifi.

I was lucky enough to score a 125ml bottle of the original formulation for an absolute STEAL compared to what is being asked on the resale market right now. It is the second version of the packaging, with the clear cap. I had previously gotten a used bottle off Ebay, missing its cap but I believe it was the oldest version (white heart cap) and it had definitely begun to turn, so I hadn't bothered to write a review. (The cardamom was a complete MONSTER, wreaking havoc for a good hour or two until it got tired and retreated back into the ocean from whence it came, and then i was left with a weak but pleasant drydown). Anyway, I had kind of given up on finding the original Heavenly that I loved to death in high school. But somehow I found a wonderful woman selling her bottle that she just never wore, and now I FINALLY have that beautiful scent that I remember!! It is slightly spicy, slightly green, slightly soapy in the opening. Then the florals come through and freshen everything up before the powdery vanilla base arrives. (Oh yeah guys, I can actually smell the vanilla in this one! Woohoo!) It is a unique and lovely scent, so reminiscent of my teenage years when I would keep a travel bottle of this in my purse. (Also does anyone use Soap & Glory products? The Mist You Madly scent totally reminds me of this, and I loved that back in the day as well) So happy to finally have this in my collection for real!

I could never describe this, but it's called heavenly for a reason, ladies(and gents!) this is my classic favorite, the one I've worn forever and will never ever retire! Smells sooo beautiful and unique, such an unusual and lovely smell! It's white musk, warm powdery sandalwood and cardamom w/undertones of dry vanillaa... Divine;). If you've never smelled this ,you must! you may have ideas in your head on how it may smelll, but once you actually try it, it will exceed your expectations and smell nothing like you imagined it to smell. . It's one of a kind-distinct, soft, feminine and an attention grabber always. There is a baby powder vibe to this, but There's so much more to it than that.. Really ladies, men love smelling this on us! i worked in a rehab before, and all the guys knew this one and loved it, they'd ask to spay it on their pillow lol. luckily, heavenly isnt nearly as popular as it used to be, but its a very loved and well known fragrance. The sillage and staying power aren't the greatest, so I never waste time with the body mist and go straight for the EDP. If you can find this in a fragrance oil, that's your best bet. I layer with the oil, lotion and EDP and it lingers all day. Again, the name says it all.. I think this should be a staple in everyone's wardrobe as it truly is the scent of a woman ..clean, soft, simply gorgeous. I love it!<3

This perfume made me feel like a woman for the first time. I was walking around the mall in high school and a sales lady was standing outside of Victoria's Secret and offered to spray me, so I stuck out my arm, and when I smelled it, I was instantly in love. That was the original version, way back in the early '00s, and it's gone through several reformulations. But I've never forgotten that smell. It was creamy and sweet, but with a slight sharpness, and just so, so, so feminine, sensual, beautiful. Really a perfect blend. The image I get is wearing a really soft, white angora/cashmere sweater on a winter night, the fabric brushing against your skin, and your hair is perfectly done in voluptuous waves and cascading down your neck, and you're wearing this perfume. So cozy and feminine. I bought one on ebay that was many years old and it smelled rancid, but I got luckier on the second try and only the top notes are a little off and then it settles into what I remember. Unfortunately the current formula smells like an absolute mockery in comparison (it is juvenile, simple, and loud). But that smell from long ago is burned into my memory forever. It was a masterpiece, and in my opinion is in a different league than some outrageously priced luxury perfumes I've recently smelled. What I wouldn't give to have a fresh bottle of the original formula. :')

I've had this off and on for years. It never gets old, it always stays new. Is that a song? Anyways, was surprised at the negative reviews. Perhaps it's something to do with all the new fragrances that smell the same out there. I don't know. If I ever happen upon a VS, I grab a bottle. Right now I just have the mist. I wore this one time around a certain famous person, and I think he liked it :) Anyways, it is sexy. It will draw a man in, only if......it works with your chemistry. It sure does mine. It's not sugary (which in some I like i.e. Love by Kilian). To me, it just seems to be pure sexual feminine to draw that man in. I'm already married, so I wear what I like, which happens to be many of the Guerlain fragrances. Which, I think is possibly the best house out there! Bar none. Although Chanel has a few hits and Amouage. But Heavenly is a great fragrance for the price w/o breaking the bank. They have way too many as if they are always searching searching for a hit. This is their "gold record", and they should make a deodorant, powder and lotion (probably do). One of the best fragrances out there is CC No. 1, but man, who can afford that always :/ I'd say, why do you think all those rock stars go to the VS show, the girls are wearing this along with "nothing at all" and hair extensions. Oh, to be young again!

Comparing this OG formula (same bottle design pictured but with the white heart cap), against the newest release (available now in VS stores as of 2022): OG: - cardamom takes center stage throughout, and mimics somewhat of a subtle saffron or curry edge; makes it feel like something to wear on a chilly fall night - the other notes are blended so perfectly that it's hard to tell what else is in the background other than something soapy, musky, powdery, "cashmeran", and cozy - all notes remain present during wear CURRENT: - no cardamom is present, which is the biggest difference; this takes off the "spicy" edge and leaves the fragrance feeling only clean, soapy, fresh with a subtle, sweet musk in the background - smells like a "sexy soapy" fragrance - suitable for wear anywhere, any time of year, any time of day or night - if you love "lactonic baby wipe" fragrances, you'll love this FINAL VERDICT: - while I do love the OG formula, I actually prefer the current over the OG - OG's spice feels too intimate to me for something casual, and also seems like it wouldn't work as well for spring/summer - OG's spice does give it a special, unique, and alluring feel, that would be perfect for special occasions

I am happy to have in my collection all of Dream Angels Heavenly versions, except Heavenly from 2019. I enjoy trying and comparing them to each other. My the most favourite version so far is Dream Angels Heavenly (I think it's from 2011) in yellow ombre box with the sparklies. The scent is something between original formula and formula from 2013 in white box with pink golden frame (which is also the last version carries whole name Dream Angel Heavenly). The original formula is less musky, has less sandalwood and more cardamom and is somehow green and fresh. When I'm comparing them side by side, they are different. The formula from 2013 is muskier, and as other said, has the best longevity. It makes me feel very clean. Also I can smell a little cardamom here, everything is in balance. Formula from 2014, called only "Heavenly" and has new flanker shape, has linear musk and vanilla, missing all that depth from previous versions. I cannot say that it's so bad, because it's not and it's still very wearable of course, but if you compare these flankers side by side, you will see there is something missing. I look forward to try Heavenly 2019, I hope I will have chance to come across with this version.

Timelessly lovely. This is, no doubt, one of the classic fragrances of our time, and I think its appeal will span several generations. For a good ten years it was so popular I thought of it as a sort of background scent everywhere I went. In particular, it was the "smell of Hollywood & Highland Center". I swear they used to blow it through ducts into every store and courtyard. In reality it was that so many people were wearing it, and/or spraying it in Victoria's Secret. I avoided it like the plague, and I never even tried it on my own skin. (Why bother?) For the last couple of years Heavenly has been less ubiquitous, giving me a chance to try to smell it without all the evocations. It's really, really pretty. It's womanly without being matronly. It's light, and people-friendly. And it's absolutely romantic and deeply feminine. A couple of days ago, while buying bras, I couldn't resist buying myself a little bottle of Heavenly body spray, because I realize the scent makes me feel happy. A few days later I bought a 2.5 oz edp bottle on sale for $30.00! I'm just loving this scent. These days the malls smell like Flowerbomb, so I won't get drowned out.

I was skeptical about this scent, but a friend's constant raving made me curious enough to try it out. I was undecided about it in the store, but came back to it 3 times so I decided to get it anyway. First off, this is a very pretty scent. Not girly or immature, but a more romantic, soft, feminine perfume that's perfect for day or night (preferably day). It's very soft and powdery and I can definitely smell the soft vanilla tone. The dry down keeps the vanilla on me and brings out the musky, floral and even just a touch of spice, and it stays that way beautifully. Normally this isn't the type of scent that I go for, but that slight, slight hint of spice (it may not show up on everyone, but if there's spice in anything it always shows up on me), vanilla, and no candy sweetness really got me hooked. It's nothing unusual or different, but more of a classic, well made, beautiful, romantic fragrance. My only complaint is that the staying power isn't all that great, especially in the body spray. But all in all, I love it.

I think Dream Angels Heavenly is a beautiful scent. It is very light, dreamy, and soft - really cloud like. I think the name suits the fragrance, without a doubt. While I wouldn't say this is my favorite perfume of all time, it is one that I definitely use for daily wear. I guess I missed the time period when it was worn so much that it became cliche. I can see why it would be a big seller, though, because I don't think it is such a strong floral that it would offend people, nor is it overly musky or permeated with excess amounts of vanilla. Heavenly is very feminine. The drydown is somewhat powdery, which doesn't bother me at all. Overall a good scent that, while recognizable, isn't a statement maker by any stretch of the imagination. Heavenly is just an enjoyable, daily wear perfume. I really like it very much :)

Dec. 2015: I own the white capped version, purchased when it launched. Yep, my bottle is THAT old. She's an oldie, but a goodie. I primarily use this for after shower - get into bed time. It's soft, clean, crisp and clear. White! To me it's not sexy, but it can be sensuous. I wear it all year, day or night. My bottle is still in use only because I have so many perfumes, I may get bored and have no need to come back to one for awhile. I see from previous reviews, she now might be altered. Haven't sniffed a bottle in the store in forever, so I don't know how mine compares. But I'm VERY pleased with what I have. I would think this would appeal to a woman of any age. I'm also pleased with silage and longevity. Put it on after shower and go to bed, I can smell it well into next morning.

I really like this; it's a nice vanilla scent. I let my hubby smell this and he agreed with the vanilla being the most predominant note. I think it's soft and subtly sexy; a fragrance doesn't have be loud to be sexy. But this scent also has an innocent appeal too, making it versatile to wear day or night. Also, it's light enough to wear in the summer too. This and Dream Angels Forever are the only ones I like out of the line. I wear them to work (in a hospital), and they don't seem to hurt noses. Most people just catch a small whiff and tell me I smell nice. So, I would suggest this if you're looking for something that doesn't announce itself before you walk into a room, i.e., perfect for work. :D

I just got a large gift set of this off ebay after being without this scent for several years. It is still as wonderful as I remember. It is funny that all the notes listed don't really stand out a lot for me in this scent. I guess it is a floral but on me it is a soft powdery type floral that I love. This really has a freshness too that I love and I'm not usually a fresh smell lover. I usually love fruity florals that are on the sweet side. I'm so glad I decided to get this perfume again. Lasting power could be better but with layering shower gel and lotion then perfume it isn't bad. Next time I get low I'm going to replace it right away. This one is a keeper.

Truly Heavenly. When you first spray it, it is similar to when you open a cardamom pod and it’s freshly spicy, slightly minty aroma greets your nose. You are then welcomed by pillowy powdery florals that are so soft and creamy and a clean, cozy and cuddly musk. There is a delicate sweetness to it from the vanilla and gentle sensuousness from the sandalwood. I find VS-H very inviting and enveloping. It can clear and calm your mind for a morning meditation or ease you into tranquil bedtime with a warm smile and hug from your loved one. Timeless. (Disclaimer : I have the mist, purchased from VS store 8 years ago-2015, not sure which fromulation it is).

I went into Victoria secret looking to buy the body spray of this scent and they had the perfume 75 ml on sale for 75% off! Score. I got it for $17. I'm pleased with it, it's very clean and powdery. I don't get much vanilla in it, but that's ok. Originally I bought the hair and body spray, in can form, and it smelled kind of like body odour. I thought I didn't like it. Then a year later,a sales associate gave me a sample vial of the actual perfume of this, and I was skeptical, but tried it anyways. It smells very nice indeed. You can easily layer this with a soft vanilla scent.

It was my favorite about 10 years ago. The name says it all, Heavenly and Dreamy, very feminine and men loves it on me. Effortless and light, sweet but not overwhelmingly, very sexy indeed. I have never replaced it until now, but I have not used my new bottle yet. I am afraid to break it in as I have realized I stopped liking the perfumes I used to like 10-15 years ago...I will give it a try one of these days:)I hope it will not be a dissapointment! Update: Still lovely!!!:)) Actually, I like it even more now if that is possible. You can not go wrong with this beauty!

I am unsure which version I own, but I love it anyways! This perfume really does give the impression of a clean, fresh woman (sort of the way Brut does for men). It's soapy, slightly powdery, a little fruity/sweet, with just a touch of musk and spice to add interest. My partner thinks it's sexy, and it is, but not the heavy sensuality of other "woman-smelling" perfumes like Womanity, Boudoir or Tabu. This is more a wholesome, daytime sexiness. Sillage and longevity are good, appropriate for work with a light application, and excellent in hot, humid weather.

I have this in the original formula and think it’s absolutely beautiful! Softly sweet vanilla, with warm and cozy musk, creamy Sandalwood, and cardamom, with a soft and delicate floral scent, and a gentle powdery scent! It’s warm and comforting! A very beautiful, romantic, and classic fragrance! I’m also ridiculously obsessed with 2 of its flankers... Dream Angels Heavenly Stardust and Dream Angels Forever! If anyone has any amount of either of these 2 that they’d be willing to part with, please contact me because I’ll be heartbroken if I run out!

Oh I wish this one came back. It was one of my top faves back in late 2008 early 2009-ish? When I was in high school. this one was gifted to my friend group by one of my best friends’ mother. Also this is so random but It’s insane how I just today discovered the perfumer behind this is named Ilias....I nicknamed my high school crush Ilias as a code name lol!! And he was all I could talk about! I can still imagine the scent a little but I know if I were to smell it again I would get flashbacks of good high school memories. <3

I love this fragrance & I don't particularly like any of the others in this line. This beautiful fragrance that has drawn a lot of compliments from men, just vanishes after about 3 hours. I was so disappointed about that! This is another one of those lovely floral blends that I love, doesn't bother my allergies, yet just dissappears far too soon on me! I hate that! I go through a lot of those type fragrances because of having to reapply often. Funny thing...when I tested others in this line they vanish quickly as well.

Smells clean, floral, fresh, violet, and a bit musky. Not a “typical Victoria’s Secret” perfume that you would smell at their counter in the mall. Dream Angels Heavenly is far from overly sweet, it is not a dark sexy or seductive type of fragrance either. Heavenly is an obsession of clean-fresh floral scents. One of those fragrances that you would wear in a relaxing weekend or in one fine afternoon. Don’t expect power silage or projection, it’s a skin scent! You might need to overspray it a bit.

I used to wear this perfume before I went to sleep during my freshman and sophomore years. It came off as very musky, orchidy, and sandlewoody ro me. I wore it, since it made me feel sexy and confident. I haven't really touched the stuff for two years, but that's only because I forgot that I still have a tiny bit left. This is more of a night perfume. It'll be great for girls nights out, dates, and even formal events. I plan on finishing the bottle soon so I can rebuy a new bottle.

This is a clasic one that always gives me a romantic warm vibe. For me this one smells like powdery cardamom and flowers. It smells very charming and soft and it makes me feel "pretty". I think this is one of the best they have at VS. It brings back memories from long time ago when it was first released and my wealthy aunt used to wear it. I love feeling like revisiting old friends, and to complete the pictue my husband thinks is sexy :P

i love this perfume! this is perfect for the transition from adolescence to adult hood. id say this is perfect for girls in their early 20s (as i am). it's actually my mom's perfume, but lately ive been sniffing and sniffing and im loving it. its so cozy. its full of personality - if you don't wanna smell like every other typical blonde college girl, you should try this out. i absolutely love it, i cant wait to wear it out

I adore this scent. It's been such a hot summer, but today it rained and cooled off, and I knew it was a "heavenly" day. It reminds me of fresh cotton T-shirts and freshly baked sugar cookies. Today I'm just doing housework but it makes me feel great to be wearing this. If I were VS I would bring back all versions of this and promote the heck out of it. People love it, and the older versions are expensive and hard to get.

I used to wear this about 7-8 years ago. I went thru a whole bottle. I LOVED this scent. I don't know why I didn't replace it. I guess I need to do that. To me it is a dreamy, powdery, very feminine scent. Not the usual for me as I tend to be drawn to bolder, more floral/fruity scents. I really loved this though but hate paying full price at Victoria's Secret so I'm probably off to Ebay to find this one again.

I love this scent! I had emptied two bottles of this baby already! The first one was given to me on my 18th birthday by a family friend and I used it then. It was an edt. The 2nd bottle was even better. It was an edp and had more pronounced notes that I can't get enough of. Unfortunately, the scent does not last long on me (both). This should've been my signature scent but because of the longevity, I'll pass.

This stuff is amazing, I have a vintage bottle, and drug it out. OMG....it lasts forever and a day, and is so feminine. I love it, I have a newer bottle, probably first reform, which isn't too bad, and also have a mist. I guess I'm just going to have to use this only on special occasions.....which are basically waking up daily, anymore. If you can, find yourself a vintage, and enjoyyyyyyy

This was my go to everyday perfume back in high school when I wasn't into perfumes. That was almost 11 years ago. I owned less than 5 perfumes at the time and this one I wore the most. I really liked it back then. It was soft & not too over powering for daily use. I no longer own it as I like different kinds of perfumes today, but whenever I smell it again I'm hit with sweet nostalgia.

Had this body splash in high school and I loooooved it. Recently ordered a mini perfume on poshmark for a good price, so I had to order to see if it lives up to my nostalgia. This scent is crisper and much more powdery upfront than I remember, but the drydown still has such a magical, pretty softness that I love. It's a very approachable, feminine, girl-next-door fragrance.

ETA: I think a majority of these reviews are about the new formulation, the original isn't sold at the store anymore from what I'm aware of and never smells like alcohol on first spritz. They shouldn't have put the same name on THREE different versions. And if you can't find the original white cap version on Ebay anymore it's probably my fault. My full review is below:

This has been my most favorite perfume. I have worn it for years. A regular customer I had at this store I worked at years ago complimented me on the perfume one day and asked what it was so I told him. He surprised me at Christmas and had bought me the big bottle of it so he could smell it whenever he came in the store. I guess that means it's pretty good stuff! :)

This is my second review of this one. I tried it again today, remembering that I had liked it when I had tried it before. And now like has turned to love. The delicate cardamom opening, with whisps of vanilla slipping in with sandalwood and soft feminine flowers - mostly peony, violet and lotus - make this so gentle and inviting. Really truly heavenly.

The 2000 version of Heavenly was really unique and beautiful. I have not really smelt anything like it since. I sometimes wish brands would not change formulation for things that are good no matter what year it is. Also, the price "was" excellent. Definitely was attention grabbing and had a sex appeal to it. Sadly, I ended up just giving it away. 😏

I love this perfume, I love the bottle I love everything about this perfume, I agree with people who say it smells "clean" , I think it smells the way a woman should smell like, it smells really feminine and delicate and I love it!This is not overpowering this is just so clean and soft and it kind of reminds me of baby powder in a good way

I Purchased The Original Version at a little over $200 USD via eBay. My mom used to use this when she and my father got married and it was her absolute favorite, so we bought it for her for Christmas. I used it 3 times and my oh My 😍 The OG version is Just so feminine and beautiful. It’s perfect as a Night fragrance.

Yes, this is quite heavenly as the name suggests. Very pretty and soft. There is vanilla here but also subtle florals and fruits. I only have the body spray so the lasting power is weak, but still lovely. I think the name, the color, the bottle, all fit the fragrance well. This is like a cuddle.

This perfume lives up to its name. It is light, and perfectly heavenly... and distinctive. Any age could wear this, and be tasteful and inviting. It is like vanilla lace, wearing a golden halo. A very clean scent for those who like that clean smell. One of my all-time favourites.

The newer formulations do not hold a candle to this one. I still have my first bottle from 2004 and it has a freshness the newer ones are lacking. All of the top notes have been stripped. Why they would reformulate an award winning fragrance, I have no idea.

this is a good one! i bought a little bottle of it from vicki's but ran out. i loved it b/c it seems appropriate any time of year for any event. it's very soft and feminine. unique, even though lots of women wear this, i have never smelled anything like it.

My cousin use to wear this fragrance, so i ask her "what are you wearing" and she gave me a tiny little sample, very cute by the way, looks like the big bottle with the spray and everything but in a 7.5ml sample. this is sweet and calm! nothing scandalous!

This smells EXACTLY like a body lotion, shower gel and some bath pearls H&M sold in a gift set for christmas a few years back! I'm serious, smells exactly like it. I'm 100% sure H&M stole the scent. As for the scent.. I like it. Very feminine and soft.

So beautiful! Lots of white flowers, musk, powder and vanilla. I love to spray it on my pillow! It’s pretty light. I remember it being stronger when it first came out compared to the 2019 bottle I have. Its a Heavenly scent!

this use to be my signature scent i love it ..chloe love story reminds me of this scent but Chloe last alot longer. this is a great pretty fragrance that is not over powering its just pretty , clean and very nice.

Used it when I was in high school, I was 15 years old, now I ́m 24 and still love it, specially for the memories I have with it... I certainly will give it to my little sister one day :)

Light vanilla, musk, and green cardamom. Defintely a recipe for baby wipes. Maybe I'd wear it around the house.

"Heavenly" just works so well with my body chemistry. Always gets compliments when I wear this one.
