Heavenly Eau de Parfum

Heavenly was the very first Victoria’s Secret fragrance that I ever bought, I got it when I was in high school. It’s still one of my favorite scents. I had bought it in the original bottle, but after using it up, I bought a bottle with this new design. I know some people aren’t crazy about this bottle, but personally I think it looks lovely and elegant, very appropriate for an Angel. I mean, how adorable are those little crystal wings? I saw that the bottle design has been changed yet again, and I am not a fan of the current one. At least with this second design the original fragrance is still the same, in my opinion. It’s feminine, delicate, romantic, and truly “angelic.” I can definitely smell the peony and vanilla, especially after the musk dies down. The longevity is really good, too, I don’t have to reapply it every two hours. I really hope that VS never discontinues Heavenly, even if I’m not crazy about the bottle design that’s currently in stores. This is a scent I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of.

When I first tried this perfume I really wasn't that impressed but after going about a week without any other scent I decided to try it again. Boy let me tell you what a difference it makes to not have your scent overwhelmed by any other perfume. I have now fallen in love with this perfume for ut is every bit sophisticated and feminine as Bvlgari. In fact its so close to Blv notte pour femme that I no longer grieve its been discontinued. I have worn this perfume and been complimented by men who do not like heavier or overpowering perfumes on their wives. I also wore it around a friend who swears she cannot stand perfume in general. I don't have previous versions to compare it with and I think thats a blessing since people who loved previous versions tend not to be able to separate them from the version it is now. Personally I recommend this perfume as a day wear for spring, summer and possibly fall. I also recommend it for women who's partners love to smell you but better.

It definitely has a strong clean, creamy powdery vanilla musk but to me it isn't a gourmand vanilla like, say, VLJ or Black Opium are. It has hints of soapiness and smells like a sexy vanilla ice cream cone...only not in an edible gourmand way if that even makes sense lol. Maybe like a sexy vanilla ice cream cone soap haha. Very calming, soothing, soft and gentle. Perfect night time scent to drift off into sleep on top of fluffy, heavenly clouds. Not a gourmand, not an oriental, not a floral, just a beautiful in between. Perfect VS scent. When I think of VS runway models with their beautiful gold wings and outfits I imagine them wearing this fragrance, it does match their aesthetic to me. Lol people want to be outraged over nothing. This is exactly, EXACTLY the same as dream angels heavenly. VS just realized their names were super long and stupid and shortened them (they did this for the sexy little things line too).

Heavenly EdP is a timeless masterpiece. It is essentially just amplified clean skin, clean hair. Yes it’s from VS but no it’s not basic (like so many other offerings from that brand!!) Suitable for every type of weather, season, climate. Versatile enough to compliment any attire you wear: casual, formal, work, pajamas, lingerie, sweaters, sundress, sportswear.. ..or when you are wearing nothing but your jewelry and tattoos...! This is the fragrance I most frequently reach for all throughout the year, so I reluctantly admit that it’s probably my signature. My reluctance comes from all these preconceived notions I have about VS and its “basic” shoppers lol :-P To me, Heavenly exudes classiness and fine taste. It reminds me of ballerinas in beautiful tulle and satin; soft yet strong, with otherworldly gracefulness.

I recently got my hands on this particular version and I LOVE IT. I was not around vs during the original dream angels version and from my research this one was introduced after as just heavenly then the 2019 version. I own both the 2019 and this version. Personally this one smells so much better to me. It’s a warm and clean musk, it somewhat reminds me of body by Victoria which I wish I owned in its original white bottle form (I’ve only ever smelled an empty bottle). Something about the 2019 version is just not as good, they’re very similar but also different. I wanna get another bottle of this heavenly before it becomes too hard to find.

This is a lovely, lovely scent. It's so simple and sweet, but still sophisticated. Rather than being in-your-face like so many super-sweet scents these days, this one trails delicately and beckons people closer. I can smell all the notes- sandalwood, musk, vanilla and light peony- blended perfectly. It fades to a pretty musk after a few hours. I debated buying this for months, and kept coming back to it whenever I was in the mall. I finally managed to trade a vintage purse for an almost-new bottle! If you want an easy-going scent for days in a t-shirt and jeans, a pretty sundress, or a cozy sweater, this is the one. Love it!

I totally agree with you, Cherried Empress. I love original Dream Angels Heavenly and I miss cardamom note in new Heavenly. Heavenly is all about vanilla and musk. So sad that Dream Angels Heavenly is gone along with Dream Angels Divine.. EDIT: I changed my mind as I was wearing Heavenly all last week and I have to say that I love it more and more.. EDIT II: I find new Heavenly more close to Dream Angels Heavenly in white-yellow ombre package with sparkly stars (which I loved so much!) than Dream Angels Heavenly in white package which is a lot muskier (I mean last version named Dream Angels). Very nice!

Heavenly this is a relaunch of there unforgettable perfume from 1999 in an all new classic sleek sophisticated bottle! This is a very light sexy fresh scent. My only problem with this perfume is that is doesn't last very long I have to layer it with the angel body mist to get 5 hours wear which is weak for an eau de parfum but that okay cause it's not all that pricy. When I first sprayed this perfume I got a very crisp clean vanilla scent but not soapy clean it's more just like a fresh clean it's wonderful and very pretty :) and I love that karlie is the new face of the perfume :) 10/10

I tested this fragrance at Victorias Secret today & at first it was just ok. But then I waited like 10 seconds & I fell in love! This is better than PINK! It's so clean smelling like shampoo. It smells like sandalwood & a mix of a lot of other clean smells. I love the bottle too, it's classy looking & not ugly & tacky like a lot of VS bottles of their newest fragrances particularly Eau So Sexy. I'm planning on getting this for either spring or summer, idk which it would be better for. Overall this is a 10/10!! :)

Someone gifted this to me on my birthday, this is not the usual type of scent I would buy but I have been experimenting. I really adore this perfume. I wore this perfume whenever I'm having presentations. This is a mature, professional, subtle sexy scent. Just like my uncle said "it smells like office" The longevity is fine. I love the simplicity in this perfume, I love the powdery musky smell in this fragrance. It does live up to it's name, that is how I imagine a perfume named "heavenly" would smell like

Years ago I wore vs halo because it smelled so beautiful on my skin however Heavenly was just as beautiful just not on my skin. I loved smelling it on others or trekking thru the Victoria Secret store this and Body by Victoria where the main players back then. When I got into my 30s Halo was hard to find and so I switched to Body by Victoria as my signature which is another lovely fragrance that was discontinued. Loved Heavenly probably that is what Heaven.smells like.

On my skin, this fragrance is a soft, creamy sandalwood. The musk and vanilla mean it's not as strongly woody as something like Bois de Balincourt or Santal Blush. Instead, it's a cozy, peaceful fragrance that reminds me of a cashmere sweater or summer bonfire. I don't smell much of the florals, just a hint of clean sweet peony. But this is definitely not a gourmand. I would put it in the light woody orientals category.

This is.so.perfect. Oh my god, this scent is just like it's name. So HEAVENLY! I smelled this in store and the day after that I rushed to the store to spray this again. Hehe. It smells so classic, beautiful,elegant..I can say that this perfume is not for everyday use, but for special events, like parties, date, or something like that. Smells so warm and pretty, also smells expensive. (just like it's price!) haha

I have literally finished the whole bottle of this perfume. It's clean, feminine, fresh, it has a very light musky soapy vibe. It's amazing. Perfect to wear during the day, works great during any season. It's sunshine in a bottle. I got so, so many compliments over this one. I've also layered it with vanilla scents for a warmer vibe, and it works perfectly. Never discontinue it or I'll scream!!!

This is probably the most work-friendly, conservative fragrance at Victoria's Secret. I like it a lot. Somewhat nondescript woods & musk. Very soft, lightweight, clean, and calming scent. Perfect for springtime. It reminds me of my mom, which is weird because she never wore perfume, but I think the scent somehow encapsulates her kind and loving personality. I actually love it!

I had this when I was a child. I still remember how it smelled - I hope the formula hasn't changed too much over the years. I believe I had the body spray and perfume? I am looking to include this in my collection, for nostalgia sake, & to have a fresh clean scent to spray when I need a little pick me up. A bedtime perfume, perhaps.

A soft silky bubble of fragrance that is so beautiful in its simplicity. It reminds me of my early 20s, starting my career and blowing all my first paychecks on the things I couldn’t buy as a teenager.

so sad they discontinued the VS Heavenly spray so I bought this. EXTREMELY pleasantly surprised, compliment rate is nearly 100% everytime you wear this out, lol. Perfect for date nights.

Reminds me of my grandfather wooden house when it rains. Was boring but now I just feel it very calms me down.

This is reformulated from the original Dream Angels Heavenly. It is ok, but the original was far superior. The original had a very creamy note that helped everything blend seamlessly and was SOOO comforting, along with a cardamom note if my scent memory is correct. It was so much smoother and better quality smelling. This is like a version that is trying to reach that beauty that it used to be but it is not quite there. There’s actually a harsh note in there that I think is supposed to be the cardamom but it’s very screechy and chemical and because of that note you don’t want to overspray this one because it can be headache inducing. With that being said. I still like the scent enough to wear it when I want to smell like the original. It’s a very simple clean/sexy in an understated way that is perfect for casual attire and events. I love to wear it whenever I’m doing something mundane or when my mood is low and I need a little pick me up. Perfect for any season other than the hotter summer months.

I blind bought this as I was looking for a cheap dupe of the discontinued Yves Rocher Ode Au Rêve, which is a lovely powdery woody ambrette with sandalwood and vanilla. A light oriental fragrance. Victoria's Secret Heavenly looks like it shares the same notes, and yet these two don't have much in common. Heavenly is one of these very clean musks, fresh with something that reminds of a nice hand cream scent. A "my skin but better" fragrance. This musk has something floral, amplified by the peony note. Cardamom is also very noticeable. Vanilla and sandalwood aren't strong to me, as they're so well blended that they stay in the background as base notes. Overall, this is a fresh, floral, high-pitched musk that could be a much lighter and Summer-appropriate version of Narciso Rodriguez For Her eau de parfum. Not really was I was looking for, as I was expecting a deeper and woodier musk, but this is still quite an enjoyable fragrance and a very nice surprise from a brand like Victoria's Secret.

Impulsively bought this while Christmas shopping with my mother, and I don't regret it that much. This is the perfume that most of the teachers at Catholic elementary/middle school wore. Honestly the church smelled like this too. It makes sense too: smells like shampoo, modest so you can only smell it up close, and named "Heavenly". The Christmas/Easter crowd always reeked of something nostril burning and expensive, but the ladies who volunteered to take us to Church every week smelled like this. It's another one of those nothing perfumes for girls who don't really care for perfume. Freshly shampooed hair and unscented body lotion. It doesn't smell like Glossier You, but it has the same vibe.

I own the body mist. The initial blast is like a spot on rendition of buttered white bread with sugar on the top. This gives it an amusing novelty quality as it is something me and my friends used to make and eat as kids. The sugar is really prominent, I can almost feel the little crystals crunching between my teeth! After a while though, it does mellow down to a fuzzy, slightly floral musk. As fun as it is, it's not exactly what I would want to smell like in public and it's definitely not something for those that don't like sweet perfumes. But I do enjoy wearing it at home and before going to bed, as it is quite comforting. I also enjoy using it for layering :)

Victoria's Secret Heavenly is an alluringly compelling fragrance, its top notes springing on skin with an unexpectedly fresh and piquant zest, making me wonder if I've perhaps lucked upon an older formulation of this curious and shape-shifting perfume. Warm, enveloping vanilla makes its debut after a few minutes, softening the edges of the tart citrus and laying a thick bed of sandalwood beneath a scattering of floral petals. Heavenly may be a fragrance with markedly few notes, but it's blended in a way that each one plays its role in a harmonious, interwoven arrangement that never feels too straightforward or linear. Ethereal and beautiful.

The newest variations of Heavenly smell almost identical to each other with a slight edge up on powdery vanilla in one and peony in the other. I think out of all of them this one is the sweetest. If you are wanting to compare them to the original version then yes, they are different. The original has a distinct cardamom note along with ivy and other florals that sets it apart from the generic cashmere vanilla type fragrances giving it complexity that's lacking in the newer formulations. That version won it the Fifa award. Unfortunately, it's been reformulated.

Ah, high school memories! I bought this hoping it would work on me as an adult but sadly no. Instead of sandalwood and vanilla, I only got white musk and peony. Very nice to give to a teenage cousin or niece, a very feminine musk/peony scent with truly impressive longevity - I could smell it on my wrist 8 (!!) hours after spraying. Sillage is nice too. Can't knock the quality on this! It's pretty, but I have to agree with my husband's opinion, "It's nice but too young." Time to return it...

I’ve worn this longer than all of my perfumes, I fell in love with this is in High School actually! This is such a clean, floral and flirty perfume! I think it’s wonderful for day time. I have a habit of falling in love with and making my “signature scents” perfumes that become discontinued so I’m very happy that I at least have been able to keep this one stocked and have worn it for a long time!

very powdery and perfume-y, but lovely and lives up to its name. easy reach, super feminine. elegant and classy. inoffensive and suits many occasions. not a super performer, not a big scent bubble, very soft and demure. bought a travel size when they had a 3 for 2 sale and i'm not displeased, but i never reach for it. i'd love a bit more vanilla and less powder from it.

This was one of my first perfumes ever. It reminds me of going to NYC on a high school trip and visiting VS, before it entered the Canadian market. I was so entranced by the store and all the fragrances. I fell in love with Heavenly and wore it all year. I only vaguely remember what it smells like now; clean, musky, effortless, and slightly sexy.

This is an easy and pleasant fragrance. To me, this gives a springs day vibe - it is sweet with a hint of playfulness to it but is not a 'sexy' scent by any means. A safe blind buy in my opinion. Whilst it says one of the notes is vanilla I personally don't pick that up at all in the scent, it is more white musk and sandalwood.

this is my bedtime perfume!! i got it a while ago from my moms friend but i never used it until recently. when i first apply can smell the peony but it dries down to a simple powdery musk. i don’t get any vanilla! still, it’s a light, soft, enjoyable fragrance. very weak sillage though, which is why i use it for bedtime.

Not the biggest fan of peony in perfumes, however, this isn't overwhelming. I often wear this perfume to school. It has a pretty weak projection so you won't get many compliments on it, but its a decent personal perfume. You can smell this perfume much better on clothes than skin.

same scent, new bottle. this is a sample i got for free with an order. it smells like a blend Sea Island Cotton and Cherry Blossom from Bath & Body Works .... so, not too sweet and not too fruity, a good, everyday sort of fragrance.

It's very fresh soapy-powdery. Don't get me wrong, it smells good but it also smells a little like cleaning supplies (but not as harsh)

Smells very similar to Cashmere Mist. Its a clean and pleasant scent, I like it a lot.

My taste has changed, but I still appreciate this beauty. It's very powdery and feminine. At one time I was in love with this scent. It is sexy and attractive. I don't wear anymore that much, but I still appreciate its beauty and nostalgia and would forever keep a bottle in my collection.

A blast of clean shampoo so fresh it stings the nose at first. Dries into a soapy baby powder and shampoo scent. Nice and clean. Light musk. The sandalwood base note has a cinnamon touch.

Rest in peace Victoria's Secret Dream Angels Heavenly. This version is an over-priced ghost of its former self—a body spray without any depth at best. It's pleasant enough but I miss the cardamom and ivy notes. This version would be good for headache-prone wearers or those who need something completely inoffensive and light. I will not repurchase once I get through the current bottle. Looks like Emporio Armani Lei are going to ride this one out.

Sooooo powdery. If you want to smell like a stick of lipstick or kinda like a grandma then I’d recommend. I do know a lot of people enjoy scents like that so if you do then definitely check this out! Just wasn’t for me unfortunately.

Pretty much musk and vanilla. Really bad wear time on me and no complexity. Disappointed.

I have the lotion. It smells just like Donna Karan Cashmere Mist.

I have five different bottle types of Heavenly. I have every type of packaging, besides the limited edition round bottle. The evolution of Heavenly reminds me of that telephone game that some of us played in grade school. One person whispers a sentence into the next person's ear, which the next person has to repeat to the next. It goes round everyone in the circle. By the time the circle is finished and the last person has been whispered to, what the first person said is completely different from what the last person said. *Version 1 (Original Formula): white box with a golden curve up the side; lowercase, italic lettering; bottle is hourglass-shaped with an opalescent white heart-shaped cap (my personal guess is that it was supposed to be in the shape of an angel's wing). *Version 2 (Original Formula): buttercup yellow and white box with a single star; text is vertical/sideways running up the box; bottle is the same, except the white heart cap has been replaced with a clear cap. The original formula is very different than what is being sold today. The first two versions of Heavenly have green top and heart notes, a bit of citrus and ivy are noticeable. They are MUCH more astringent, more soapy, and effervescent. They have so much less vanilla and sweetness. More cardamom. The beauty of the original 2 bottles lies in the drydown. It's very hard to describe in words. The drydown is very featherlike, extremely delicate, and beautiful. The original stickers on the bottom of the bottles used to read, "An ethereal gossamer of fragrance", and that's exactly what it is. It's very obvious that this is a fine fragrance with complex, melodious notes crafted by a gifted perfumer. This great drydown unfortunately does not occur with any of the newer Heavenly versions. *Version 3: yellow ombre/gradient box with the sparkly, iridescent filigree with stars and the uppercase HEAVENLY lettering; bottle now has uppercase lettering. The third Dream Angels Heavenly in the flamboyant, sparkly box is a lovely hybrid of the original formula and the sweeter, muskier fourth version. It DOES retain the green ivy and mandarin notes. They are apparent, but they are scaled back. There is a satisfying amount of cardamom. I think everything is in very good proportion. #4 version was my favorite, but I think this one took over. *Version 4: white box with gold trim and a pleated pattern; "heavenly" is lowercase again, but larger text; bottle has matching text. The fourth version is much sweeter and a little heavier than the original, and has just the right amount of cardamom, vanilla, sandalwood, and musky freshness. The green and citrus notes are basically gone, but if you wear this awhile, you do smell them from time to time. It is the strongest and muskiest of all Heavenly formulations. It's my favorite along with #3, although the drydown in the original is something of a masterpiece. *Version 5: VS drops the "Dream Angels" prefix. All other Dream Angels have been discontinued, so the name is now Heavenly; bottle is showcased above. It's a reformulation again. It's more of a flat, vanilla/sandalwood combo with a STRONG alcohol smell for about 15 seconds. That makes me think that it is less concentrated. A lot less white musk, which is sad. Very sweet. No green notes at all. No citrus. This is the most boring version of Heavenly. Just so flat. The sprayer doesn't emit as much liquid so you have to spray about twice as much. Because it has less musk, it seems a little weaker. When I wear the older Heavenly types, I get whiffs of myself at the end of the day; this one seemed to evaporate on me within a couple of hours. It's still a likeable scent, but I think they should have not tampered with their best-selling fragrance. A bad move. What comsumers are smelling now is not the fragrance that won a FiFi. It lacks complexity, depth, quality, and longevity of previous versions of Heavenly. If you're going on memory and trying it ten or fifteen years down the road, OR you are smelling it for the first time, you might love this new type. But... personally... it's very disappointing and pretty much ruins the entire reputation of Dream Angels Heavenly. VS is my favorite brand, and what they are doing regarding the quality of their products is abhorrent to me. It's very obvious to me and others that they are on a steep downhill slope. I sold the newest version. It was just disappointing. I didn't even want to wear it after a few times. The alcohol smell was just a reminder that Heavenly EDP is only a shell of its former self. I guess everything changes at some point, but don't think for one second that this is the same fragrance that won an award in 1999, because it is absolutely not.

This is the signature Heavenly fragrance from Victoria's Secret. You can't miss it. It's in every one of their stores. Not my favorite but definitely a winner. The soft delicate angelic perfume reminds me of angel wings, scented angel wings. It's totally a good match for the angel wings costume worn by the Victoria's Secret models. I modeled with them in my early 20's. I was gifted with a lot of their fragrances and became addicted. This is a mature scent, for sure, but that doesn't make it any less beautiful. It starts off with a soft note of peony, one of the easiest to wear florals. It's such a delicate flower that one feels it's like those little dandelions that you see growing everywhere on grassy areas, you hold them and they practically fall apart in your hands or you blow on them and they scatter away. The peony smells very nice and a bit powdery. The vanilla is not a big cream, just as powdery as the peony. The sandalwood and musk at the dry down provides this scent with longevity and warmth. It also begins to smell a tad on the spicy side. It's a good musk, one of the finest in the VS lines. It's a bit like the musk in Angels Heavenly but this is much less intense and more on the floral-vanilla powder side. Absolutely beautiful!

The original VS Dream Angels Heavenly (in the curvy bottle with the white heart shaped top) is one of my all time favorite perfumes and the first perfume that I ever fell in love with as a teenager. Since it has been discontinued for about 20 years, I have tried 6 times to track down an unspoiled bottle and so far my best "wins" are 2 slightly spoiled bottles that have a weird opening smell but smell good in the dry down. I got this new version after initially hating it because it recently started to smell pretty good to me on a sample card. So I got it in an attempt to fall in love with it. While it's reminiscent of the original, it smells sharper, heavier in slapping your nostrils and yet poorer in performance, more cloying and somehow spoiled. The original was crisp and a little spicy from the cardamom, but it had an undeniable softness that made it gorgeous, so womanly, truly like a heavenly cloud, and an absolute masterpiece. This one just doesn't have that magic. I'll try spraying it on clothes, maybe a nice chunky sweater in the fall or winter. Maybe it will get better, or maybe I'm just coping.
