No3 Sheer Amber

Sheer Amber is a gorgeous scent. The box says "wrap yourself in weightless warmth" and I think that is the perfect way to describe this fragrance. I also really agree with the reviewer below who said this is a sort of "melting amber" scent. There is almost a light caramel like vibe to this beauty without turning into candy, and the lotus and apple blossom combine to bring a lightness to the perfume. It is really very heavenly. Delicious!

This is a great scent. I love it. I bought it at the VS sale on a whim. I also bought the Feathered Musk and I think I like this one better. Smells sweet and floral and fresh. This is long lasting and has good sillage. It seems like the quality is better than their regular scents. I'm impressed with No. 3.

I just got this today and it is lovely. To me this is light on the amber and more of a sweet floral scent. This doesn't smell like VS Amber Romance at all, but I do get a similarity to VS Pure Seduction and a few of their others as well. I do like the scent but it is not as strong as the other scent in this line, Feathered Musk. I like a perfume with good projection and not sure this is going to project enough for me. I'll end up wearing it, but I do wish it was stronger. I'm really having trouble finding the amber in this so if you normally shy away from amber, you might still try this. On the whole it's a pretty smelling perfume, but if you want much sillage, you might want to keep looking. Update: I'm not loving this as much as I thought I would. It's too "something". Too floral I think. Which is odd because it is called Sheer Amber. I can't really even pick up the amber. I love amber scents, but I feel this is overpowered by the florals. The other one in this line named Feathered Musk is much better. In that too though I get a strong scent of tobacco, not much musk. And the third in this line is pure floral so I wasn't tempted to buy it. Wish this hadn't ended up being a "miss" for me.

It is a little juicy and that "melting" quality the others mention, definitely there. For me, the sillage is noticable but inoffense. The longevity of that sillage is exactly what I was looking for: 5 hours. I love this thick glass bottle. Thank you VS for this little candy. It's a little too sweet for summer for me, but still nice. edit: after owning this for a while, I'm finding it just too sweet to wear.

I like the warm subtle amber scent. However, it does not last long at all (typical VS Scent). Can anyone suggest a similar fragrance that has some staying power? UPDATE 2022 - Michael Kors is a good longer lasting alternative.
