Orchid Santal

Surprised there aren't reviews on this one yet, it is simply fabulous!!! This scent to me took me back to early VS days of well performing very layered scents! It's deep & lush at the same time for a tropical woodsy floral scent. There are far more notes than the lonely pairing listed. However, I'm not always great at discerning specific notes (self-trained and only recently so). If I had to take a guess, I'd say maybe jasmine, iris, violet leaves, ginger, patchouli, sandalwood & possibly an amber &/or musk accord. There maybe a small chorus of fruit lurking in there as nearly every VS scent has some, but I don't detect any. I have allergy/sinus/headache triggers with some woods in fragrances so I have to be careful & always try a single light spray on in the stores first. I'm starting to believe that might be more a concentration level issue with some wood varieties in fragrances more than an outright allergy. The orchid note is delishly, deeply exotic and only further enhanced by the balance of wood notes. It's a stunner and the logevity & sillage of this mist rival actual EDT & EDP from current day...even more so layered with the body lotion. Mega bang for the buck!! Especially... if like me, you hunt it down at a SAS. Try it ladies, if you can.
