Peach Hyacinth

My signature fragrance, 1996, 97, 98. My sister got me into it. Very different than other peach fragrances of the time. Peach Hyacinth was gorgeous. In my dorm room my friend Sara sniffed it and sighed, "Such a gorgeous scent". Floral, fresh, romantic. Not so peachy, like say, Bath and Body Works Peach Nectar or The Shop's Fuzzy Peach. Both I love, by the way. Mellow and soft. I sadly have one found one kind of dupe in so many years, Suave Mandarin body lotion circa 2009, also discontinued! I'd absolutely love to find something similar. Victoria's Secret really needs to completely bring back their original Garden Line!

Ah the memories. Tranquil Breezes and Peach Hyacinth were my absolute ride or die fragrances in the early 90's. I wish someone would bring them back. Peach Hyacinth was a juicy fresh floral. Bright, juicy sweet peach, with the sweet, fresh airy floral hyacinth. Incomparable. I had the whole collection. The fragrance mist, the lotion and the body wash. If Victoria's Secret ever gets out of their trashy, dead-common era and goes back to sophisticated sexy, it would be absolutely brilliant for them to bring these back! And OMG a dupe would be splendid!

My girlfriends and I in junior high went on a vs bender one time and stocked up on a bunch of little lotions. Then we sat around rating them and arguing over which suited whom the most. My fave was Honeysuckle Bloom followed by Sparkling Cassis and Tranquil Breezes (that cucumber- so crazy to us at the time!) But Peach Hyacinth is the one I truly miss. It wasn't a sweet peach, but somehow scratchy-fuzzy. Tart, but not fruity. Not having words for it is what makes me miss it. Truly unique!

I wore this all the time when my first son was born in July, 1994. I have such vivid scent memories from that time it seems like last week. How can my baby be 25? This was a beautiful, light, uplifting scent for a brand new mother during a hot Southern California summer.

This was my mom’s favorite scent and I wish I could get my hands on it. Specifically the smell of the lotion. She passed in 1999 and Mother’s Day has me all sad and nostalgic doing a search and considering an eBay buy of the perfume but I wonder if it has gone bad.

My mom wore this in the 90s! I typically DO NOT like peach in fragrances, but I remember this one smelling just beautiful and well-balanced. Super nostalgic and comforting scent for me.

This is the fragrance of my youth. I felt so grown up, and my Mamma liked it too. It was feminine and soft. I wish I could find something similar.

Wow...this seems to be the only ORIGINAL of the VS scents in the database. If you remember the late 80’s- very early 90’s VS scents then congrats, you have made it to middle age with your memory still intact to still remember the good ones that VS used to sell....before EVERYTHING changed to smelling the same...that is, sickeningly sweet...too sweet, the kind of sweet that turns your stomach and/or has the ability to induce a migraine. I’ve been on an absolute rant lately about all scent things long discontinued that I absolutely MISS from VS...along with stores that have the initials of BBW and C&E. The VS ORIGINAL’s included: (those that I had, and remember or have come across during my EBay forays). The Wild English Garden collection: Wild Strawberries Her Majesty’s Rose Romantic Bouquet Freesia (Tied for my #1 Fav) Gardenia Jasmine Lily’s Isle Camellia Lady Jane’s Heliotrope (These last 3 I don’t think were ever sold in the stores in my area back in the day because I don’t recall them, and I believe that I tried just about every damn lotion they had) The Country Meadows collection: Lily of the Valley Honeysuckle Bloom Angelica Corsage (this I don’t recall) The English Harvest collection: Apple Rapture Apricots & Cream Peach Hyacinth Sparkling Citrus Sparkling Cassis (Tied for my #1 Fav) OMG I miss IT.. The Herb collection: Wild Juniper & Herbs Tranquil Breezes Didn’t belong to a specific collection that I can see: Floral Fantasie Exotic Bouquet The Garden collection that came in the early 90’s included: Raspberry Glacé Pear Glacé Vanilla Lace Enchanted Apple Amber Romance Secret Garden collection early 90’s: waaaay too many to list, and by the mid ‘90’s I had stopped buying their fragrances/lotions after they had continuously discontinued my favorites..and I had drifted over to that OTHER store (you know the one 😉) and began buying their body products, until the very SAME thing began to happen over there ☹️ I had the Freesia, Romantic Bouquet, Her Majesty’s Rose, and the Pear Glacé Round EDT perfume bottles and had just about all of the lotions they sold in the late ‘80’s. As much as I’d love to smell all my favorites again, I shudder to think what these vintage lotions that you can find on EBay smell like NOW after marinating for 35+ years...🙄 🤢😂 So yeah...I’m quite surprised that only ONE ‘80’s OG out of the several back in the day has made it to the database as most of them were available in EDT bottles. I do see a few early 90 ́s stragglers here like Vanilla Lace (bleh..never cared for it) and Pear Glacé (but as others here have noted, it changed and the original was THE ONE to have to slather and spritz yourself with, the later version NOPE!). And apologies...this wasn’t exactly a review of what I can remember about this frag. But yes, it was lovely, but not a favorite with all the others we had to choose from back then.

Recently bought 2 vintage bottles from the 90’s. It’s my least favorite out of the Garden collection. This is a bitter peach rather than a sweet one.
