Peony Amber

I hate BBW's Luminous, to me this smells nothing like it. This is my absolute favorite Victoria's Secret body mist, and I doubt we'll ever see it again as it wasn't part of the line they keep year round. I love this at first spray, and I love, love, love the dry down. There is something so pretty in the deep dry down. I'll get a little whiff hours after spraying that almost reads vanilla, but not quite, it's just lovely. I've gone through half the mist bottle, which is unheard of for me. I probably have 100 bottles of body spray mists (we won't talk about how many perfumes I have, ugh), and yet this is probably my favorite or top two. The peony here is lovely and the amber doesn't really read as "amber" to me, but whatever it is, I love it. Also, if you don't love florals, you still might like this one. That's sort of the camp I'm in. I grew up on florals, but when gourmands came into vogue they were a definite preference for me. This is a definite foray back into floral territory, and I'm wearing this floral beauty proudly. Go find this on mercari, just leave some for me.

Sticky-sweet amber with a very powdery and thick black currant. It's dense. While it smells like the listed notes, they are blended together seamlessly. It smells like scented bath products and cosmetic powders, maybe 2000s Avon. It lacks freshness for balance. If the peony were stronger, it would smell more complex. It is so linear that I get bored of it. It reminds me a little of Luminous, except this is fruitier.
