Pure Seduction Intense

I splurged and blind-bought some VS fragrance mists during their online sale (Naughty Spice, Bare Vanilla Intense, Pure Seduction Intense, and Love Spell Joy Edition), so if anyone else wants to read some reviews before they also splurge, feel free to check out mine. Pure Seduction Intense first opens with an overwhelming wave that is best described as a cacophony of sugary fruit juices and a generic perfume—truly a more buffed version of the OG Pure Seduction—which, in truth, I'm not the biggest fan of, as I don't typically like fruity-florals, I find most Bath and Bodyworks-esque/juvenile. Well, after the scent had begun to settle a couple of minutes later, it bloomed into something much more palatable and redeeming. Plum and passionfruit are the rich and ripe forerunners of this fragrance, their juices dripped over a bouquet of jasmine and juicy cyclamen, the notable freesias giving a youthful and playful edge to the blend. The musk this fragrance produces in the drydown is the most promising note, balancing between clean but skin-like and alluring. Reminiscent of a pretty woman in passing, whose fragrance is that of a fruity body wash and shampoo from a shower she took a few hours prior, still the pleasant scent lingers in your senses. A little something is hiding in this scent that comes off slightly artificial to my nose, but I can't fully discern what. Decent longevity for a body mist, about a couple of hours. Thankfully, this fragrance sits a bit closer to the skin, which I think is saving this scent from being overwhelming and headache-inducing. Still, let's not repeat the mistakes of our middle school years and drown ourselves in this mist! Better for warmer weather as it comes off refreshing and a bit soapy/aquatic or juicy. I wouldn't necessarily call this scent "seductive." Fun, a little wild, a bit coquettish—sure, gives Y2K "sexy baby." Much more girlish flirtation than grown woman seduction, as the name would imply. The apple hasn't fallen far from the tree, and while I do like this, I can see this fragrance being just as polarizing as the original.
