Rapture

This fragrance as pictured in the photo for it's page here on Literotica is what I bought at a Victoria Secret store that to my happy surprise was selling it. In the heart shaped faux gold bottle with a little clear glass in the middle. Such a pretty bottle. And when I sprayed it on me I was in scent heaven! This is so beautiful. For you to enjoy this fragrance, you have to be a vintage lover and a floral fragrance fan. The opening is pure orange blossom with a citrus top note. A very formal and typical perfumy perfume kind of smell. A golden citrus and a sweet orange blossom (white in color) which is then joined by a clean freesia white floral note and jasmine. The jasmine is not a big player. But these white florals are clearly thrown in there as the orange note begins to go further back. The heliotrope to my nose is the major note here. It is a vanilla scented purple flower. The heart/middle stage is purely floral and sweet floral. If you like sweet sweet florals this is gonna be you fix. The floral mix then turns powdery but not terribly powdery. As it wears for a couple of hours (more than 5) the scent dries into a warm musk and a vanilla. To me both are strong so I can really detect both the vanilla and the musk. There is also quite a bit of amber. This perfume is feminine, mature, with a spicy and powdery vibe, with a delicious vintage air that is unlike any perfume I have come across. It's so much a unique aroma that I can't compare it to any other perfume in the vintage world of fragrance. However it does smell vintage like it was from the 1950's. It has just a bit of a cosmetic make up vibe. It is asking you to wear her with a fancy formal dress for dinner dates. It is a romantic grown up perfume and you just can't wear it with a T shirt and jeans. Best worn in fall and winter because it is spicy and warm while also being citrus-floral and powdery. It's so gorgeous. They just don't make Victoria Secret fragrances like this one anymore. This one today would smell 'old lady' to the gourmand sweet sugary candy scent lovers today. This is a classic floral with a lot of class and elegance. It's too bad it has been discontinued ? It sells on ebay and they are good but there is a body spray version I dislike. The best way to enjoy this one is the cologne spray as seen in the photos on this page.

Since this is the first perfume someone bought me in high school, it has always had a special place in my heart. I have the heart shaped bottle somewhere and would love to do a side by side comparison. When I saw it was for sale for a limited release in VS website, I decided to buy it. Just got it today. The smell is similar and very nostalgic, but it has changed. It’s still quite a heavy scent especially considering it is a cologne. I wish their EDPs were as strong. Heavenly is another favorite of mine, but the new formulation has no staying power. One to two sprays is plenty,but there’s a loud sharp note now that I don’t remember. Maybe it’s the citrus. I’m waiting to see how this scent will soften as the day progresses. Update: it’s been roughly an hour since I applied and the sharp smell has softened. It smells more as I remember. I would recommend spraying g this on at leas a half hour before going out. This lasts a long time too. It has the staying power of much more expensive fragrances. I also bought and tried the lotion. It has an aldehyde fragrance that reminds me of Chanel no 5 and ab bit like White Linen and then nothing but Wind Song. It doesn’t smell much like Rapture to my nose. Update: The more I wear this the better it smells. Buy and judge for yourself I would recommend not smelling it directly when you first put it on. Trust me. It’s really very nice once it soaks in. (Lotion) The body mist has a sweet gourmand note on initial spray and then morphs to a powdery amber floral. I think I like it best in this form. It just doesn’t have the lasting power. If you like heavier spicy amber florals with a vintage flair, you should give this a try. You can pick it up really cheap right now at the Victoria’s Secret semiannual sale online.

My review is for the version in the square bottle...I’m sorry but this is a Epic Fail from Victoria’s Secret!!! This smells nothing like the original version. I got this version from a VS Sas a while back and haven’t used it til this week and let me tell you I literally was like WTF is this?! Long story short I was using my old original heart bottle from 1992 since I was a junior in high school and have been through countless bottles but still have my very 1st bottle to this day along with a glass version and a little bit of the body lotion left...I put some on and was like oh yeah I bought that other bottle since I want to obviously want to keep my original. So I put the original away and spritz on the square bottle version and could immediately tell a huge difference!!!! Where is the Bulgarian rose,musk and amber?!?!? Because all I’m getting is a poor watered down version with mainly heliotrope and freesia with a hint of musk and a fake plastic rose smell. Longevity and sillage with the square version are a joke..I can get about 2hrs before it’s gone on me versus with the original all I needed was a spritz or two and it lasted 24hrs it was amazing! VS should’ve left the formula alone. **This version I’m giving a 2 star rating...I figure I can wear it and atleast not use up my two original bottles I have left but I’d never repurchase this square bottle version unless I knew it smelled like the original.

This was sex in a bottle. I had the big heart-shaped bottle, which somehow only added to how intoxicating the contents were. If you're in the market for a beast-mode sex bomb, get your hands on the original. It does not disappoint. UPDATE: I finally pulled the trigger on the new Rapture, and let me just say, I am so pleasantly surprised. To me, this is even better than what the original had been, more wearable, more modern. The original was strong, beautiful, lusty, sweet, tangy, and deep. This formulation has a lighter gorgeous sweetness, almost a rosey-"fruitiness" that peaks through, and I definitely don't recall that in the past. I'm seriously impressed. I also can envision this layering beautifully with any number of other fragrances and am excited for that process. I've sprayed it twice today, not out of need (because the first spray lasted a good 6 hours at least), but out of becoming acquainted with this beauty again, and the second spray was even better than than the first. I can't wait to see how it evolves over time. If you're feeling up for something bold yet comforting, nostalgic yet new, sexyyy, I recommend at least going for a sample spritz. And don't judge by the initial spray out... let her breathe a bit. Enjoy!

Undeniably stunning! Fell in love with this fragrance as tis but a little lass after smelling the OG 90's version in the heart bottle on my granny's dresser. Mostly discontinued, but it made a reappearance during the winter semi-annual sale last year, and I snatched plenty of bottles (this happens frequently, so stay on the lookout! Even so, it rarely reaches shelves, so you'll likely have to ask an associate.) On my second bottle already! Such a beautiful, spicy, ambery mix of rose, jasmine, and a little bit of citrus, and dries down to an intimate, skin-like, musky finish. Powdery, but not sweet. Vintage, but not dated. Floral, but not fresh. Best for fall/winter, any time, any place. Exceptional longevity and sillage for a VS perfume, lasts on skin all day, clothes for several days, and can be sensed from a good few feet away. The new bottle is in a nice hefty glass, and the red lettering is quite pretty too, but compared to the striking visual of the OG, it's nothing special. Unnotable atomizer. Such a gorgeous fragrance that I desperately wish would return for good, god knows it outperforms any of the 4 trillion variations of Bombshell VS has churned out. 10/10!

I love this fragrance so much that I knew I had to hunt down a vintage heart shaped bottle. I wore this back when it was released and repurchased it many many times! It was my sexy going out/date night scent! It is incredibly alluring in my opinion! I fell in love at first sniff and this vintage bottle is still amazing and hasn’t changed one bit! It does smell 90s, at least to me, but that’s probably due to nostalgia. The 90s produced such amazing scents and is my absolute favorite era for fragrances! They just don’t make them like they used to! This is so warm and ambery yet sweet and sexy. Absolutely stunning!! The heliotrope vs an oak moss note keeps it from feeling dated in my opinion! It’s still as gorgeously wearable today as when it came out, however, I’d keep it to evenings and fall and winter now. I haven’t tried the newer version, I’m afraid it may not live up to the original and leave me disappointed. However, I’m glad there are still some in circulation! I’m saving this for special occasions so it can get me through another decade or two!

Rapture is proof that VS can do & has done some amazing fragrances. It's also proof that they can re-release long discontinued originals with great quality. Unlike their more recent re-release of Vanilla Lace from their original Garden Line which was just a watered down shadow of the once amazing fragrance of the past (so very sad & disappointing). I think their inconsistency with quality as a brand is what is the most frustrating for us OG customer base. Rapture was the their OG deeply sexy, womanly, night out scent. Rich, full-bodied, resinous (almost sticky) amber paired with deep, nearly heady florals & one of the richest rose notes I've ever met. Amazingly well blended, the layers are so smooth in their transitions. It still is quite a powerhouse with amazing longevity & sillage (have to be careful not to over spray this lovely lady). I'll keep picking this beauty up every chance I get when they bring it back around again & again. I really do hope that one day very soon they bring back the OG Victoria to similar amazing effect as Rapture!

Upon first spray, there's an almost champagne-like bubbly and fizzy effervescent quality, reminiscent of YSL's Libre. The orange blossom and the citrus notes add a touch of sweetness and playfulness to what some would consider an otherwise "mature" and "dated" fragrance. I personally don't think that it's dated, however. Yes, it's giving strong vibes of 1980s and 1990s ambers, but I've always gravitated towards florals and ambers, even as a child. In middle school and high school, I wore Victoria's Secret Amber Romance body mist, and I feel as though the amber note in here is a much more grown and mature version of that. I miss the heart shaped bottle but will make do with the newer, more basic bottles. I have three backups of this because I just love the effervescent quality of it. The sparkling orange flower and citrus notes, coupled with the famous Victoria's Secret amber notes, are just lovely. It also does last all day on me, which I'm glad for, because a lot of Victoria's Secret perfumes need re-applying throughout the day.

Rose, amber, vanilla and soft musk, slightly powdery. It’s incredible how the rose note stays unchanged throughout, its not screechy, only pure Bulgarian rose (dewy, clean, honeyed). The Amber, and vanilla gives just enough warmth, sweet and spice, and blends with the rose in a way this is almost a bit soapy. Lovely for fall. Don’t skip on this gem especially if you love a rose perfect for 70’s or cooler weather. It’s a scent where every time you move you’ll get pleasant whiffs of it. Very well blended ...the rose is definitely noticeable , but so is the amber vanilla. It’s seemingly honeyed in composition probably from the Bulgarian rose, even with a very soft leathery quality ( no honey/leather note in ingredients) just the way it’s blended. I wore this in the 90’s and it’s a love still today, I bought the body spray, and craving it more so when the perfume was finally available again I bought it too. The perfume sells out every season, or whenever it’s in stock again. I wish they’d bring back that heart shaped bottle!!

This warm, rich, opulent and spicy oriental floral perfume will forever be the embodiment of nostalgia, youth, friendship and love for me. It was my best friend's signature scent and it will always remind me of my wonderful, albeit bittersweet memories of her. We were friends since childhood and inseparable. Even when our lives took us to different states, we never lost our unbreakable bond. Very sadly she passed away unexpectedly 2 years ago. I was absolutely shattered. When I flew out for her memorial, I stayed in her room and her mom told me that I could take anything of hers that I wanted back with me. Her vintage bottle of Rapture, in the original heart-shaped bottle, was among the things I decided to take as keepsakes. I sniff the bottle and wear it on occasion during the cooler months and I'm once again transported back in time to all the wonderful times we spent together. How lucky I was to have had such a wonderful friend. Thanks for the friendship, the perfume, the love, and the memories.

I confess I am not fond of the current iteration of Rapture EDP in the rectangular bottle. Instead, this review is for the fragrance mist that comes in a frosted antique gold cylindrical bottle. I am extremely fond of the mist version. I bought it during the 2025-2026 SAS. The mist version is a gentler, more elegant version of Rapture. It could be thought of as a flanker. Its composition is different. It smells like a mix between Dior Pure Poison and Hermès Twilly. It also reminds me of a more floral VS Basic Instinct and 24 Faubourg. Instead of powdery, retro amber of the EDP and white florals, you get a slightly spicy white floral and very little amber in the base. There is a slight cashmeran effect, a la VS Heavenly. It has a soapy feel while retaining a nonchalant sexiness. It's not powdery. The white florals have a faint waxiness and no sweetness. The mist is weaker (a mercy to some). I'd wear 3 to 4 sprays. I noticed less sprays smells better though. Too many sprays get play-doughy.

So, I remember smelling this when I was younger (the heart bottle). When I realized that I could purchase it again I was so happy! Fast forward to opening it and spraying it again— y’all, I cannot. It is bad. The reformulation is screechy, rancid and just doesn’t work for me at all. I can smell some really beautiful notes in there (freesia, slight vanilla), but the rose takes over everything for me, and doesn’t fade down. It is so overwhelming to me, and headache inducing. It’s really frustrating too, because I do think it smells really good on other people. Like, beautiful even. Just not me. A friend of mine smells heavenly in it— soapy, fresh, and warm. Not me. Screechy and awful on my skin. Edit: So, after a few days wearing it... I love it! Why, and how this happened, I do not know. It’s so pretty, but a little goes a super long way so be careful. The initial spray is very granny on me— then it dries down.... It’s soapy, floral, amber comfort.

Reviewing the latest version in the square bottle. I have never had the pleasure of testing the original, so this opinion is not affected by any nostalgic feelings or memory about the old formulation. The opening i strong, sweet, deep and very retro feeling. It can scare you if not prepared. But then it starts to settle, and calm down a bit. And then.... Spellbound! I totally see the resemblance, although they aren't dupes of each other by any means. Rapture stands bold and strong, even though it borrows a few signature-notes from several other classics too. For example, if sprayed on clothes, I can actually smell Samsara after a while, whitch is very interesting. I really love the development, and the big, bold, 80's/90's feelings. Rapture is really well blended, and totally worth the price. A love for me.

Rapture is a heavy, syrupy, floral amber scent. It’s spicy and warm, but it doesn’t feel welcoming; more like challenging. Sometimes sharp scents can feel thin, but not this one. Rapture is sharp, but also hugely bold, in the way of many classic vintage perfumes from the ‘75–’95 era. It's unquestionably womanly and unapologetically dominant; a hot-blooded, cool-headed woman. She used to model and she made some good money at it, then got out before she aged out. She wears emerald earrings she bought herself when she turned twenty-five, and she has a better stock portfolio than most of the men who try to give her beginners' tips when they find out she’s in the market. In short: I love this. It is unquestionably dated, far too loud for the modern world.. and it’s wonderful.

I'm pretty sure this is Bijan in a heart shaped bottle. I found this stuff going through some old crap in a closet. Evidently it was something my mother had packed away because it was too strong for her. Yet she has bijan and loves it. Does that make sense? Nope, not at all. When sniffed it comes off very sultry and a tall, expensively dressed woman with red lipstick, red nails, gold jewelry come to mind. Very classy. Also found the original Victoria secret one in the squatty, wide bottle with the vertical ridges along the sides, faux brass top, and cobalt blue cap. I guess she wasn't crazy about that one either but it was half used so maybe she liked it a little bit. I also found encounter which to me smelled like dirty, sweaty sex and pears (I kinda liked it teehee).

With this fragrance,I have a very tiny bottle of the original formula,and I also have the reformulated version. (JackieM) on here,posted their thoughts as well. And honestly,they hit the nail on the head with everything they said! The new version is nothing compared to the originals. The new formula is sharper,more floral,less sweet and has less amber. It's completely lost that deep,sweet,coziness that the old one had. JackieM seriously explained it the absolute best! Take their word for it! Also, the old formulation of this was absolutely NUCLEAR!! I sprayed myself eight times and actually made myself cough and gag. It literally filled up 99% of the apartment. I smelled it strong on my clothes for weeeeeks! It's insane how watered down this is now

I loveee it!!! Got this as a birthday present. First sniff...whew!! This cologne is strong, with considerable silage and great staying power (on my skin, it stays all day long). Amber is really prominent since opening (until the very end), followed by a huge bouquet of white floral. Thankfully the citrus give the heavy opening a bit lightness (a teeny tiny bit). As heavy as this is, I wear it all year long. In the summer it always makes me feel a little bit naughty. In the winter, it feels warm and still a bit naughty. Nope. This is not your everyday VS fragrance. It is mature, loud, spicy, sweet, sexy, bold; unapologetic of its existence. This is (VS) angel with attitude.

I have been loving this perfume since it came out in 1992!!!!! (its my signature scent) I was a junior in highschool back then and this was my signature scent! I always got compliments on it and still do to this day when I wear it. This is a heavier scent that is perfect for winter and the colder months. The scent is IMO is a mix of spicy,floral,powdery,musky amber...I really love it!! It's so unique and intoxicating....and has incredible staying power! One or 2 quick sprays is all I need to last me all day and night (I can even wake up the next day and still smell it lol) The bottle looks classy & cute too!!!!!! As long as they keep making it I'll always repurchase!

Rapture brings back such good memories. I first smelled this back when I was 20, and I bought a gift set for myself with lotion, shower gel, etc. Loved it. It was so ambery, powdery, a little floral, slightly spicy. It is a bit reminiscent of the original Bijan, but perhaps not as complex. And that is ok. I like it better than Bijan on me. Actually, I LOVE Rapture. But not the newer stuff they are selling now. I have a few vintage bottles and I never want to be without this. The amber in this fragrance is so sexy. I love to layer this with Persian Amber by Attar Bazaar, or with Amber Paste by Kuumba Made, which is basically the same perfume!

One of my most complimented perfumes and one of my all time favorites. It’s an amber fragrance where the amber is clearly detectable, and not just hinted at or suggested. It projects well and lasts a long time, at least on me. It’s powdery, but it also has a spicy sweetness to it that reminds me of a root beer float. You definitely have to be an amber note lover for this to be a successful buy for you. It’s a shame they discontinued it and you can’t buy it from VS anymore. It’s available elsewhere, but I do feel like it should still be a staple in their fragrance collection.

It is a tamer version of Tiffany & Co.'s original perfume! My stepmom used to wear that and so this brings a nostalgia with it, reminds me of going out for nice dinners, to theaters, on vacations. It definitely smells "dated" as it isn't on trend with the fragrances of now. This is a bold, heady, in your face, sweet floral-amber fragrance. Smells like a bouquet after having been left out to bake in the sun all day. I love the fact that it doesn't fit in with the other perfumes out today, so when I wear it I feel like I stand out a bit amongst my other 20-something peers.

Why do they always discontinue the best ones???? Needless to say, when Victoria’s Secret recently brought it back, I bought 2 bottles immediately!!!! Now, please, please, please bring back the Original Victoria!!!! At least, long enough for me to buy multiple bottles that I promise I’ll savor and save for only special occasions. Gosh, how I miss the Victoria Secret fragrances from the pre-PINK era. That’s when Victoria’s Secret was ONLY for adult women looking for true sexiness. Not at all like the now candy drenched, giggling teen-filled Victoria’s Secret......

Rapture is everything Victoria Secret intended it to be. It is such a naughty and trampy fragrance that will indeed rapture people who smell it. Since its supposed to perform the same duties that poison and tabu do, this one I'd say is strictly an occasional fragrance to a special event or if you're planning on riding the bologna pony later. If you wear this everyday you will have guys breathing all over you trying to take you home. Very similar to bijan and samsara though bijan is more on the honey and balsamic side and samsara depends more on woods.

A common theme throughout my reviews - I am a snob. I would never have tried Rapture if a dear Fragrantican had not sent me a mini splash in a care package. I thought I was too good for VS - VS is for teenagers playing at being adults. But this is one of the best orange blossom perfumes, which is saying quite a lot, because it is one of my favorite notes. And the background is all smooth sweetness. This is ultra-feminine without being cloying. It's not bombastic or soapy. It's just lovely. However, like so many good things, it is discontinued.

Rapture is such a guilty pleasure for me. This is some intense stuff right here. I love & adore her. For today's standards, she's not for the faint of heart. Such a rich & decadent floral/amber juice. Part of me wishes fragrances like this would come back in style. This is elegant but fun at the same time. I imagine this is what a more sophisticated woman would wear to a high-end night club in the early 90s, rocking the sleekest black dress, velvet, long sleeves, and with shoulder pads. This fragrance makes me wish time travel was possible.

I love this! Old Hollywood sexy!. When people say "it smells old", what they're saying is they're thinking "people of a more mature age". But I think the real interpritation of this scent is, it's not suppost to be of a mature age, but of a mature time. it's the interpritation of sexy from a retro era. Obviously VS didn;'t put others out there like this, perhaps becuase the perfume was just so misunderstood. It's not a perfume for an old lady, it's a perfume for someone who can capture the retro sexy vibe of the 50s and 60s.

I've always wanted to be the type of ultra elegant woman that could pull off Ch 5 but it's never been good w my chemistry. So I found Bijan n it is much better on me but then I got this as a sample n i must say this meshes perfectly w my skin! It exudes that old world elegance that I've always wanted in a mix that works for me! This stopped me in my tracks! Blew me away! Love! Also is very close or related to Revlon's Ciara which is also great on me (but only in the winter)! Both definitely fall/winter scents.

Yay! I'm so glad Victoria's Secret brought this back. Rapture is an old love of mine. I wish they had brought back the old bottle too, but what's inside is more important. I haven't owned or smelled this in a long time so I can't say if it's been reformulated, but it still smells great to me. I love the sweet orange blossom in the opening and then the vanilla-ish heliotrope develops along with a little rose. The amber is very prominent and is so warm and sensual. A fantastic offering from Victoria's Secret!

This was my very first perfume that I chose when I was a little girl. ( Luvs baby soft was my first at 5yrs old.) I chose this while out with my mom and she bought me the set. I loved it so much! I still love it, it's hard to find a fragrance like this these days. I now use a knockoff oil hair perfume of this. They always discontinue the best. My first perfume I ever bought for myself when I was a teenager was spellbound, and of course that beauty is gone now too. Bring back the classic beauties!

I have an original heart bottle still since I've worn this perfume since 1993 as a signature scent and I've gone through a few bottles too, but I kept the very first one since my husband bought it for me while we were dating. I think the new bottle smells the same as the old one does, I wore some from the OG bottle the other day. I always get compliments when I wear this perfume whether from the OG bottle or the new rectangle bottle. (but they should bring back the heart bottle!)

I like this a lot! I tried it on today not knowing what it was, and that was probably a blessing, because I am kind of prejudiced against Victoria's Secret fragrances. At first, I thought "Is this Estee Lauder Beautiful in a very weird bottle?" (It was the mini bottle and not labeled.) Like another reviewer said, rose is not mentioned as a note but I definitely get strong rose. Very long lasting and comforting floral. Great from start to finish.

Absolutely love this perfume! Rich, sensual, long-lasting. Was my signature for 20+ years. Literally, the only perfume I owned during that time. When it was discontinued, I was fortunate to hear about it and bought extra bottles so I won't run out. But the discontinuance also prompted me to venture out and start trying other fragrances, which is how I found this website. I very much appreciate the overviews and all the feedback from users.

This was a love/hate due to the amber however I FREAKING LOVE IT! It’s definitely strong; long lasting and plus I got it for $20 and the body mist which was like $7 at the SAS. This is something I can wear all year round; I try not to smell it too much upclose lol then I’ll hate it. But I smell pretty rich lol. Definitely would wear this on a date. If you do not own this... GRAB IT WHILE YOU STILL CAN FOR THE LOW!

I smelled this in the store the other day and liked it very much! I agree that it is mature, but very warm and inviting. I think the perfume would be too strong for me, but I will certainly be getting the body splash!! Update: I'm in love!!! I have worn this almost every day since I bought it! How could anyone hate this? It is so comforting and divine! I think it is classy too, when used in moderation. Beautiful!

My mom used to wear this when I was younger, and I remember stealing it from her to wear it...so maybe I'm biased toward it, but I think it smells so warm and nice..."mature", of course, but people always tell me that I'm very mature for my age, so maybe I just have "mature" tastes. If you're all about a "sexy" or "hot" image, I wouldn't wear this, but if you're going for a more classic vibe, this is perfect.

a very unusual amber scent. i can detect some medical hints which one i love, it's from the freesia i guess. this has a nice creamy powdery wearing sensation. it's indeed a very sexy, tempting scent. warm amber and cool fresia... mysterious thing! no sweets in this than the lovely orangeblossom. a great mixture. very classy and mordern at the same time. lasts forever. nice sillage. great bottle. thumbs up!

This is my first dance with Rapture and it really seems to me that this is what a grown woman is supposed to smell like. I just got my bottle in the mail and I'm absolutely amazed at how beautiful this is. Rose and amber are the two main notes I get, I see the similarities to EA Red Door which I also love. Rapture is deep, romantic, classic, sexy. I'm so glad I finally own a bottle of it :)

My aunt said this perfume gave her headaches so she gifted me her heart shaped bottle with very little left. This smells exactly like my mothers makeup case from when I was a kid! It is warm and powdery but it is so nostalgic to me. I don't spray it often because I don't want it to run out so I purchased a new rectangle bottle. While it is pleasant and has the original's DNA it is lacking.

I have a vintage 1993 bottle fron my HS days. I kept it in a drawer for decades, so it retained it's smell, albeit it looks a bit darker from what I can recall. I wore it the other day and it made me smile. Yes, it was fairly heavy and cloying, but most fragrance from then were. It is Ambery, sexy goodness. I will wear it for special occasions as there is less than half left.

Ah, I remember this one well. I haven't smelled it in years. Girls in high school wore this. My other favorite one at that time was Victoria by Victoria's Secret. It was so classy, and I hear it's long since been discontinued. What a shame! Their women's frags were definitely 10x better over their guys' stuff, perhaps b/c they specialize in women's bras & knickers. ;o)

A quick follow up to my review, if you like this scent get the matching body wash and pure silk lotion! The "pure silk" lotion is probably the best fragranced body product my wife or I have ever tried, it goes on smooth and almost instantly turns your skin silky soft! Go to the bay, find it pretty cheap, and if you like this scent, you will not regret it!

Review from a man: I have been exposed to hundreds, maybe thousands, of fragrances over the years, and I must say that this is the ONLY one that actually makes me weak in the knees. I am in my 40's now, and ever since this was released in the early 90's (when I was in my twenties), I am completely powerless against this perfume ...

The trick with this one is to let it calm down. Then it's beautiful. I'm referring to the vintage however. I have the newer version mist, but it's not as rich and the transition is non-existent. It smells the same all the way through. The vintage has a way of moving through time and mellowing out and becoming absolutely stunning.

This takes me back to the 90's, when I last had this perfume. I have been buying scents I used to love and I am glad this is still available, albeit, that gorgeous heart shaped bottle is gone :( This smells amazing, and it layers with other fragrances very well. I have it layered with Black Opium right now and I smell wonderful!

I love how this smells vintage. Warm honey dripped florals, with a clean soapy vibe as well. The performance on this is amazing. Good sillage and lasting power. I can smell it on myself all day. I wish fragrantica would update the photo to the new rectangle bottle. I personally think it looks better than the tacky heart bottle.

This is one of my top favorite scents of all time. I used to wear it in high school... It's a sweet, woody, ambery, very feminine perfume. I always feel more put together when I'm wearing it. I really wish it wasn't discontinued. I have a body spray and an EDP bottle that I'm cherishing every last drop of.

1990s Time Capsule "Rapture" is a warm, nostalgic blast of the 1990s that instantly transports me back to my 20s. I hope they never stop making it; it’s been my favorite like forever. I don't care about what season it is or anything. I wear what I'm in the mood for and this one I go to the most.

Love love love. One of my favorite scents. My husbands favorite scent on me. Warm sweet amber, so sexy and intoxicating. I honestly couldn’t love this more. Just delicious. I need a dupe so I don’t run out of my bottle. I have an original heart shaped bottle, and the bottle fits the scent.

There is no rose mentioned among the notes, but for me Rapture is a sweet smell of rose. Warm and soft, yet quite strong and prominent with good staying power. Very elegant and feminine, to be applied with light hand. I like it and it reminds me very much of SpellBound.

I remember the heart bottle of this, and how it smelled so good. They recently had it on sale, and I bought it in the new rectangular bottle. It smells just as beautiful to me. Do miss the heart bottle, and would've paid more to have it again.
