Santal Berry Silky

I was really pleasantly surprised by this fragrance! A strong espresso and berry opening that dries down to a discernable almond and sandalwood. It's really unique and i find espresso isn't always at the forefront of frgrance, especially in a body mist. Really glad i blund bought this!

Just another wee update. Something odd has been happening recently... Yesterday, a miracle happened: THIS BODY MIST SMELLED DIVINE. Divine I say! This wasn't anything expected at all. I put it on just so I don't feel guilty about 'wasting' my money on this, and POOF. Immediate, but still quite subtle change. Unlike normally, this didn't have the uglyyyyy, tiringgggg, disgustingggg scent of.... I don't actually even know what it was I was smelling. (Smelled like rotten beans, is the best way to describe it. For sure a lactonic scent, either way.) This time it smelled.. nice! It smelled like a sweet gourmand almond and coffee. Especially after settling in a while, I was bamboozled. How could this beautiful scent come out of the dreaded? How could I fall in love with a scent I so fondly hated? Flabbergasted, gobsmacked, purely shocked. Oh the scent that embraced my nostrils. The disbelief couldn't believe itself. 'I actually LIKE this one?' The truth is, when being layered with something else, it does become tolerative, but just by itself, it is a disaster. I sprayed it again today, and while it isn't as bad as it was 2 days ago, I feel the magic is slowly dying (after being resurrected) within it. Maybe this was a one-time-only thing, but I'll remember this bottle as the mist that gave me a dream amidst of all the nightmares.

This to me smells like an expensive perfume, like nothing I’ve ever smelled before. I don’t have a whole lot of experience with almond notes but to me I get the powdery nuttyness from the almond with a slightly sweet berry and beautiful woody and coffee dry down (not a prominent coffee scent). I don’t know why people don’t talk about this enough because it’s one of the more sophisticated gourmand scents I’ve ever smelled.

This is a deep almondy scent. That’s it to me, I wish I picked up on espresso or blackberry. I’ve been doing berry coffee combos for a little while now, i thought this would be perfect. It’s just okay to me, unfortunately since I don’t live near a VS I’m going to be keeping this one and hopefully layering it / enjoying it during next fall

I tend to buy fragrance mists for the purposes of layering to give my perfumes a little twist. This one I layer with Lattafas Khamarah Qahwa and also sometimes with YSL Black Opium. It also tones down those candy sweet perfumes. I never wear it on it's own.
