Suede Wonder

Opens sour with pomegranate. It's the tart, deep kind, not the sheer refreshing kind. The pomegranate fades a bit after 20 minutes, and the perfume's projection quickly dies down into a more intimate bubble. The berry comes out. I'd say the mixed berries are the heart. I can smell a combo of blueberry, blackberry, and watery raspberry. As the base notes come in, around the 40 min mark, the composition turns buttery smooth. I guess that is the "suede." It doesn't come across as leather or suede from VS's previous perfumes. It's a very very feminine and abstract suede. If you're looking for a leather note, you'll be sorely disappointed. The drydown smells like a soft and understated berry fragrance. It doesn't project or last long on skin, maybe 2 hrs. If I overspray, something in the base makes me go noseblind. On clothing, it lasts over a day and smells far more interesting! The base notes are amped up on clothing, and I get a sexy but soft elegant musk with twangy pomegranate. I'll spray this on clothes and sheets. If you have many berry or pomegranate mists, you can skip this one. The style reminds me of Twilight Amber Berry (much more interesting). They could be cousins. If you liked that one, you might still like this.
