Sunset Gelato

The perfect summer gourmand. I purchased 6 mists & 2 lotions. The lotions almost smell better than the mists, but the mists are obviously still absolutely amazing. I love how the pistachio is not off putting, like some pistachios can be to me. It is so perfectly blended with the caramel, with a beautiful beachy quality. You can still wear this all year round as it’s not something as summery as pineapple or mango per se, but I can’t wait for this scent to blossom in the heat. 🍨 ☀️ 🏝️ edit: I sprayed pink suede around the room the other day, and when I walked back into the room it smelled like sunset gelato. They have a similarity, but by no means a dupe at all. I’m not sure what is making them smell similar, as they share no notes. 😫 but pink suede has been compared to sunset glow, and sunset glow has been compared to Cheriosa 62, & this is a dupe for cheriosa 62 so I guess it makes sense but I wanted to add that in there. You can also love one & hate the other because they are still different (pink suede vs sunset gelato) because I want to smell like sunset gelato for the rest of my life but pink suede is probably my least favorite mist in my collection

This is vanilla ice cream with a nutty cookie on the side. It is a cozy and relaxing scent that I can wear to bed. And at the same time it is playfully sexy but appropriate for daytime. I usually do not wear body sprays outside of the house but this one I will. I get about 4 hours of wear when layered with the matching body cream. The projection is about an arm's length and the silage in a warm summer breeze is beautiful. I understand the Sol De Janeiro 62 comparisons, they are in the same family. But Sunset Gelato is airy and cooler. While SDJ 62 is very dense and creamy. Victoria Secret came out with another spray, Pistachio Creme. It has similar notes to Sunset Gelato but the execution is very different. Pistachio Creme is a nutty custard or flam with candied almonds on top. (Still good just different). I know that this is probably the most obviously layering combo to ever exist, but I paired this with Kayali Yum Pistachio Gelato to make a mouthwatering summer gourmand. I was addicted to it this last summer. This was my favorite release from Victoria Secret this year. If this comes back for the sale I will have to get a backup. 8/10.

this is a good fragrance and it is definitely similar to cheirosa 62, but i think i just don't love those kinds of scents as much as i want to think i do lmao. i wish the pistachio note was a little toastier and the caramel more present, but i do think this makes a wonderful summer fragrance when u want something gourmand-ish but not cloying in the heat! longevity and sillage are both pretty average for victoria's secret's mists lately, maybe slightly on the lighter side. edit: i think my nose has changed recently because a lot of fragrances that i used to just like are now loves for me, including this. if you're looking for a true bakery gourmand, you'll be disappointed, but this is beautiful if you can appreciate it for what it is. it's a creamy, nutty fragrance with a soft powdery quality that keeps it smelling clean and a saltiness that gives it a bit of beachiness.

It took me FOREVER to get my hands on this that also wasn't from an overpriced reseller.. So glad I finally got it!! This does smell pretty close to the EOS pistachio / Sol de Janeiro 62 mists to me, like other people mentioned, which are scents that I adore, so of course I also love this one. It might be a bit boring to some, but if you love pistachio scents, I'd say it's a really safe blind buy, perfect for summer. I personally get a lottt of the salty, summery pistachio (no caramel) with creamy gelato. And it's a nice balance of notes, not super sweet. Although it's not listed in the notes, I swear I also get a bit of a woody smell almost because it has like a warmth to it in the background? Super yummy, though, and decent projection/longevity for a Vs mist

A clear Sol de Janeiro 62 dupe. The DNA is immediately recognizable: warm, creamy, caramelized sweetness with that familiar gourmand-summer vibe. If you enjoy SDJ 62, this is exactly like it, the only difference is a very subtle floral twist, but it’s barely noticeable and doesn’t change the overall character. For the most part, it wears almost exactly like the original. At a much more affordable price point for those outside of the US, it delivers the same cozy, addictive sweetness without feeling like a downgrade. Overall, a great alternative if you love SDJ 62 and want the same experience for less.
