Tease Rebel

I currently have this listed as my signature scent, although to be honest, I don’t really have a signature scent since I like to wear different fragrances based on mood, season, events, etc. But if I were to have one, Tease Rebel would probably be it, or at least one of them! I just love it so much! It’s soft, clean, and powdery with a nice leather tie-in to give it some grounding. I feel a certain feminine confidence when I wear this. It’s not really a feeling of rebelliousness though. I suspect the name comes from its being a different sort of fragrance than what Victoria’s Secret typically offers; in which case, it IS a rebel. This perfume is also a safe-for-work fragrance, which is another reason I tend to gravitate to it so often. It’s definitely an easy choice for when you need something inoffensive, versatile, but also pretty. Love, love, love my Tease Rebel.

oh. my. god. THIS is the scent I've been searching for, and I can't believe I've found it at VS of all places--not because I don't like their scents (I do) but just that this is such a specific and niche scent profile I've been yearning after. To put it simply, to my nose, on my skin, this smells EXACTLY like the glossy page of a fashion magazine. If you know, you know. I literally feel like I'm burying my nose into a brand new copy of vogue that just came in the mail. There's the SLIGHTEST hint of something green (I'm guessing the volet leaf) but I only smell it if I try. Even so, this is by far the most "magazine" perfume I've found, and I couldn't be happier. Will be stopping by the outlet for a bigger backup bottle asap 😅 I can't help it!! Seriously might be a new signature scent for me.

My Mom picked this out for me when we were shopping a few year ago and I absolutely fell in love with it. The guy I was dating at the time couldn't keep his hands off me and kept smelling my hair when i wore this out on the town. Have great memories with this beautiful and delightful fragrance. It's nice to re-visit this one, will definitely be ordering a new bottle soon. Still amazed by the versatility of this fragrance

The initial spray is a lovely burst floral with violet being the main flower. The leather / suede isn't very string initially, but it does provide a neat base for the violet to expand from. It's almost powdery, but not quite, and sensual. It's a simple but great fragrance. The dry down is a bit of a downgrade, as (for me at least) it starts smelling like a few flowers were put in a new car with leather seats. I personally like the way new cars smell, so it's not jarring for me, but it definitely is a small disappointment considering the initial smell out of the bottle. To be honest, this perfume is ANYTHING but rebellious and is pretty tame. It's still overall a good feminine and pretty spring-time fragrance and I can still smell it on my skin and clothes after ~8 hours of wearing it.

I honestly think the rebel quality is the white leather note. Leather notes in general are common in mens fragrance but not womens...therefore it's "rebellious" quality. It's the note that speaks loudest when I wear it. However, this fragrance is not loud at all. This is just a touch more than a skin scent on me, though it lasts moderately well. I definitely get both the powdery fresh quality of the violet & the green note of the violet leaf and then the rose (light fresh almost pink rose water like) seems to anchor this fragrance peeking thru every now & then. There is nothing offensive about this rebel. She's almost the shy wallflower type who just is having a slightly rebellious moment cloaked in her white leather jacket over her sundress.

I'm not a lover of violets since it tends to turn fragrances far too powdery for my liking, but I was curious about this so I took the plunge and bought the small body mist. On first spray, this reminds me so much of the original Balenciaga and I was transported to the first time I smelled that one in a magazine strip. I know it's the violets in Tease Rebel causing that flashback, but something about the leather reminds me of Balenciaga's woodiness and I find both scents straddle the unisex line quite nicely. Tease Rebel feels like the perfect office fragrance for when you want to smell fresh, clean and a touch sexy, but aren't in the mood for the usual light, girly 'pink' sugary scents.

This is a nice-smelling perfume. It does not smell anything like whatever "rebellious" would smell like, so don't be deceived by the name. If anything, this is the perfume I reach for when I am going to any sort of event where I just want to smell presentable and don't care about smelling "attractive." It is a great everyday perfume, great for things like class, church, or meeting up with friends. It might take a little to grow on you, but it is a very satisfying, fresh, clean, and slightly sweet scent once your nose becomes accustomed to it. It is moderately lasting and you really only need a spray or two if you don't want it to be overpowering. It is a very youthful scent.

I am not getting these notes at all. I smell a tart fruit like rhubarb or grapefruit mainly in the opening then a bit of a soft floral and an aquatic almost watermelon note. No leather. I guess you could call it violet if you stretch your imagination. Maybe a candied violet but not like any violet scents that I own and wear. It's okay. Not a love. Not a hate. A mediocre fragrance that might be wild for mainstream frag folks but is mainstream for frag collectors. I like it for summer but am not in love. This is all tart fruit. Fruity fruity fruit.

A friend at work introduced me to this one. Back then it was still Summer, she told me she loved it and wanted to go back to the store to buy the perfume since she had purchased the roll-on. I liked that it was fresh, a clean kind of sweet, to me perfectly balanced with some citrusy note and the leather. I just love leather on perfumes, I feel like it gives it character so I purchased a roll-on. I don't love it nor am I blown away, but its good. Not to commit with a full bottle. But to have in your purse.

I like it. I bought a bottle of the oil body spray a year or so ago, I think in an SAS sale. Didn't open it for quite a while (I have other fragrances I like to wear a lot!), but once I did, I found it was very pleasant. Not a knockout by any means, but comfortable to wear. I don't get the leather note, but then, today I have a head cold. I don't know whether the other forms of this fragrance may be very different as it seems from reading through other reviews. Now I'm curious to try some of them and see.

This to me smells strikingly similar to chance eau tendre from Chanel. I find it very fresh and wore it mostly in gym class in high school. I would get asked by my classmates a lot of I could let them spray it on themselves so I think this would be a very good dupe. I don’t have mine anymore I used it up but when I smelled Chance eau tendre this was my first thought.

This scent is dress with converse vibes in a good way. It's very feminine, cool, and with texture. It smells exactly how the bottle looks. It reminds me of VS in its second wave of prime. I reach for this when I want a confidence boost. If I could put another word to "rebel" it would be "romance." The notes I pick up the most are violet, aquatic, and leather.

Soft violet, almost no leather. It has a bit of that leaf in the beginning, but keeps mostly as a very soft, clean version of violet without a strong sweetness that can be found in other violet scents. Wish there was more leather or violet leaf. Barely a like. Edit: Tried Violet Ends by Boy Smells. These layered or as couple perfumes would be super awesome.

for me, violet leaf is the strongest note, followed by violet. there is some rose and suede but they're backing notes. it's a dewy green violet, very springlike. i like it better than i thought i would, and it reminds me of something i can't place. it's very linear, does not change much but it is a nice light dewy floral.

this thing actually lasts a long time on me. i get more floral and violet notes from this. the leather note isn't as strong, but it's still noticeable and makes this scent a bit more "mature". i like it.

Simply put, this fragrance is for the violet lover. Very simple, very violet forward. Lovely. And still available to purchase on the grey market for anyone who's looking for it.

At a first sniff I thought "oh yes! the freshness, the sparkliness! I love it!" But with a longer wear it began to feel sharp, linear and annoying. Decided to return it.

it starts off a bit different and feels warmer, but as it dries down, it gets better and more calming. I think the mist smells better, by the way. It's really pretty!

I had the shower scrub and now have the perfume. The scrub was very leathery and the perfume is very floral, like the smell of brand new clothes. Total difference

To me this is ozonic, very Marc Jacobs Daisy-like but with a hint of Bottega Venetia clean leather. Better than a lot of VS fragrances for sure.

This is my go to while at work! it smells so light and sweet floral wise. smells wonderful on my very warm skin :-)

This fragrance is surprisingly long-lasting for Victoria's Secret! It's super lightweight and has a small sillage, but it still lasts for about 8 hours on my skin, which is crazy. It smells like powdery flowers. It also smells kinda green, I really smell the violet leaf note in this. I also get a hint of leather and a little bit of fruitiness, even though there aren't any fuity notes in this, apparently. I like to use this when I'm running late and don't really have time to think about perfume, and I just want to spray something on real quick that I know is going to make me smell nice. In that sense the marketing of this fragrance is spot on, I think the slogan in the commercial was "just toss it on and go" or something like that. But yeah, at the end of day this is just a nice, easy-to-wear fragrance. Nothing unique or memorable and definitely not a head-turner. I'll happily use my bottle up, but I won't repurchase.

Picked this up today from the semi annual sale, 100ml for $19.50 (didn’t have the 50ml size) also they didn’t have testers put for this so I blind bought it. First off, I get no leather, thank god, I can’t stand that note. This is a violet, hint powdery, aquatic scent. Very soft, close to the skin scent. It smells very clean. I purchased 3 perfumes today, this, heartbreaker tease & eau so party, I’m returning them all tomorrow. Not worth keeping. Nothing special or unique.

This fragrance is a no go. It smells like heady violets and tea. If you don’t like violets then it’s not for you. Smells terrible and plastic

I couldn't understand how this was remotely wearable.... 80% leather jacket to my nose.

TEASE REBEL is absolutely beautiful and subdued... The 3 prominent notes I get are green grass, violet, and white leather / vinyl / latex. The scent sits very close to the skin and whispers quietly subtly in the wind... giving off gentle wafts of greenery, violet petals, and a white plasticky vinyl note. This is by no means a loud scent but rather an intoxicating sheer veil that’s floral and synthetic at the same time with a hint of sweet from the soft violet. As a side note, to my nose, TEASE REBEL is similar to the base notes in YSL PARISIENNE - but without the rose note. There is no detectable rose in Tease Rebel. TEASE REBEL however has the same violet and plastic vinyl accord that YSL PARISIENNE has in its dry down. So in essence TEASE REBEL is kind of like a simpler deconstructed YSL Parisienne dry down with no rose and no musk. Overall, TEASE REBEL is a very light, watered down violet, plastic vinyl, and white leather skin scent that wears like a veil. I absolutely adore the plastic vinyl accord - I just wish this scent projected more but I love it... it’s special in its cool understated simplicity. It’s almost unisex in the way a stiff starchy cotton white dress shirt is... but it leans feminine because of the soft violet leaf which is gentle sweet and floral - but not too sweet as it’s balanced by the green grass note and of course the vinyl. UPDATE: I wore REBEL TEASE again today, and just wanted to share that one thing that really stood out to me is that the violet note is truly a tart, sour, green violet leaf accord - almost the exact same violet leaf accord that you get in Marc Jacobs DAISY. So I just wanted to highlight that the violet is actually not a sweet candied parma violet scent, on the contrary, it's a true sharp, tart, green violet leaf scent like you would find out in nature. If you enjoy the violet note in the Marc Jacobs DAISY line, then I believe you will enjoy TEASE REBEL, although it's not as strong nor long lasting as DAISY.

Tease Rebel surprised me. It is a very ozonic scent overall, with very dominant violet, noticeable powder, and a touch of rose. No leather here. The reviewer below me pointed out that it smells like brand new clothes... hey, it really does! It smells a little artificial. But, to me, that's part of Tease Rebel's appeal (like Bombshell's appeal). It is not supposed to smell natural. It is unapologetically, artificially fresh and floral — and that formula works here. I am a fan of the individual notes by themselves, especially powder and violet. There is nothing rebellious about this scent. It is quite mainstream. For a faceless someone who wears Viva La Juicy [literally] every single day of their life, it might be rebellious. To anyone else, it's a crowd-pleaser or, at the very least, a familiar smell. I purchased a 1.7 oz bottle in the store as it was on sale for $25. Most of the VS eau de parfums currently being sold in store now are more like eau de toilettes or even body mists. The longevity on them ranges from super poor to barely moderate (except for Love and the original Bombshell... those have some power). Most of them don't last very long unless you drench yourself with more than 5 sprays. Tease Rebel has soft sillage and weak-to-moderate longevity, but that works for this type of scent. If it were a stronger fragrance, it would probably cause headaches and nausea.

SO strange to see so many reviews say they fail to pick up any leather - I worked at VS in the beauty department selling perfume and... I loved the marketing so I bought a mini body mist but I never wear it because I get STRONG, cloying leather and the tiniest bit of powdery violet. Every day I'd come into work and test this on my skin, on a coworker, on the blotter card - always, ALWAYS, just pure, strong, alcoholic leather and not much else. Some days my nose picks up the violet note a little bit more which is obviously more appealing, but that leather note never, ever calms down or fades for me.

Ok.. I’m a VS perfume fan. I’ve established that in past reviews. This perfume is wearable, it’s nice, it smells good, but there’s nothing rebellious about it. It’s mainly clean, powdery violet. It smells very much like any other past VS perfume that used Violet as a note. If you’re looking for daring, don’t look for that here.. if you want just plain nice, you’ve found it. I’m not blown away... the Love perfume is my favorite of their most recent offerings. I highly recommend that one!

Not sure what is so "rebel" about this scent. I kind of liked it actually, its very fresh and green, with some rather hesitant florals. I smell no and I mean ZERO leather here. I really wish I did but alas, it its just green fresh floral. Nice enough but not to die for. VS, please, produce something more than endless forgettable flankers

I learned of this scent during the SAS. I immediately swooped up the edp, mist, body wash and lotion. All three have extremely different scents. The body wash and lotion almost turn me off - they are so different and not in a good way. The EDP and mist are phenomenal. I found the edp does have better than expected longevity on my skin.

The vinyl note in this is super unique, but it’s not enough to make me want to own it. The rest of the perfume just smells like ultra light rose water. Either the leather or something unlisted smells a bit smoky. It smells like a girl that smokes newports and uses rose water glycerin. It’s not bad but not for me either.

This one took me by surprise! I love the way the Violet perfectly balances with the leather. Leather isn't even a note I really enjoy, but I like how it's done in this. I can't say I really detect any rose. Tease Rebel is in no way "rebellious", but I think it is a wonderful fresh scent - perfect for every day.

This is one of the VS perfumes that I really like and can actually stomach, but rebellious it is NOT. It’s a feminine and girly violet/rose/leather fragrance. The leather is not a hard leather it’s more of a white sueded leather. Smells great on me!! They don’t sell it in stores. You must purchase it online.

This one definitely needs to be tested on the skin. It smelled lovely on the tester card but on my skin it was straight up WINDEX. Not a safe blind buy.

What is white leather? Is it changed from brown leather by a procedure? Or is it just a type of suede ?

Too light for my liking. Also doesn't last long enough
