Vanilla Sundae

I blind bought 8 bottles of this scent a few days ago:/ ! Believing someone’s review stating that it smells just like the old VS scent “Cake Confetti”. I went crazy and bought a bunch in fear that it will sell out before I could make it to the store to smell it, and they won’t bring it back for many years to come (and people will end up selling 1 bottle for $60! Like they are Cake confetti). I LOOOOVE “Cake Confetti” I have 2 more bottles of that left and just finished one. I have been cherishing that scent. To me, that is the cleanest vanilla cake batter scent in body mist form that I have found. All the other vanilla body mists I have from BBW, VS, and PINK fall short in one way or another...when I say clean I mean none of that cinnamon-ness or biscuit/graham cracker/waffle cone-like scent in the background or in this case, a dirty milky dry down. It is just a pure vanilla cake batter. Sweet, smooth, and clean not harsh or sour or screechy. Just a fluffy, pure, airy vanilla cake batter. Sweet, and delightful. It just creates THE MOST AMAZING scent bubble all on its own (did not even need to layer this one). It always just makes me smile. I finally tried “Vanilla Sundae” on. For 2 days I have worn this on its own after a fresh scentless shower and using my favorite scent-less lotion, spraying my skin while the lotion is still damp (exactly how I wear all my fragrances-even Cake Confetti). Unfortunately, I was left smelling a dirty milky scent in the dry down (today I had to work in close proximity to someone and I was utterly embarrassed and fearful that she could smell the dirty vanilla/milk smell). It could just be a body chemistry thing, or a weather thing (it’s hot and humid here right now where I live). When I smell this scent in the cap, it smells sweet and very realistic to a vanilla ice cream scoop. I will be trying this again using much less product (I only used 5-8 sprays with both uses) in hopes to get that light ice-cream vibe (which in the cap smells close to my beloved Cake Confetti). Right now, I think I will be returning 7 out of the 8 bottles I purchased :(. PLEASE VS, BRING BACK “CAKE CONFETTI”!!!

My first impression of this body mist was that it’s similar to Bath and Body’s Warm Vanilla Sugar, but richer and creamier. Still, it’s very fluffy and airy, even after having it marinate for 2 months it smells like alcohol when wet on my skin. I agree with other reviews saying less is more and I’ve found it lasts longer on clothing. Seems to get stronger after time and fully drying. Like every other VS Pink mist, I find the 3 notes on the bottle to be very literal and accurate. I can really detect the Sprinkles note which makes it interesting and sets it apart from Warm Vanilla Sugar. Overall this is a fun scent to wear around the house in the summer when I have no one to impress, but not my favorite by VS.

The softest, prettiest summer vanilla. It smells like dripping vanilla ice cream. There is no cone or cake smell. I like this vanilla because it isn't super musky. There is a faint candied musk base, which I think is the "sprinkles" note. A couple of my friends couldn't detect the lactonic notes and said it was just vanilla. I can get a 6 hr wear out of this, but I have to warn you it has intimate sillage from the start. Spraying more won't help it project. It's a very gentle vanilla. Very non-obtrusive. I agree with whoever compared it to the BBW layering collection Wild Vanilla. Wild Vanilla is similar but more rounded, bold, pure vanilla. Vanilla Sundae is sheerer, cool, and lactonic (to me).

After letting this marinate and coming back to it a year later I really like it. I thought it smelled like Warm Vanilla Sugar at first but not like the newer version that I own. Maybe I’m remembering the old/stronger body lotions because this scent takes me straight to my Mamaw’s bathroom in 2010. Regardless it’s very sweet and I do like it, not the best longevity but that’s every VS mist.

It smells straight up like vanilla bean ice cream & vanilla extract to me. This is yummy! Just a great scent for vanilla gourmand lovers and great for layering. I was also surprised by the longevity. Usually Vs mist lasts like 30 minutes on me, but this one is still going strong after an hour on my skin. Kinda simple but exactly what I wanted!!

so so super yummy. i can’t stop drenching myself with it because it’s LITERALLY and ice cream scent. just imagine sprinkles and your hair in two ponytails!

Super sweet creamy vanilla scent. Does smell like melted ice cream! Wish it came with a lotion though

The best, most sugary sweet vanilla. Someone please give me a perfume dupe!

Creamy, airy light vanilla with a soft spice element to it. It’s like standing near a cold freezer and getting a waft of a freshly opened tub of vanilla bean ice cream 🍦 🍨 got a backup bottle :)

it's a very sweet ice cream vanilla scent. Cute- but not my favorite pink body spray!

I imagine this body spray would be amazing if it actually had fragrance in it. It smelled entirely of alcohol. My partner even walked in the room not knowing I had just test sprayed the bottle and asked why I was cleaning with rubbing alcohol. Finally after AN HOUR I could smell a faint hint of delicious sweetness on my skin if I held it directly to my nose. Maybe I got a bad batch but I bought two and tested them both with the same result. Really really disappointing bc the actual small bit of fragrance I did get to smell smelled really lovely and delicious.

1 hr later, and I cannot even smell it on my clothes. Original spray was nice simple Vanilla. Not a standout.

If you live in the Philippines, this smells a lot like the Fresh Skinlab Cinamoroll Milk & Marshmallow mist, so I'd just stick with that. I can also smell some Sweet Tooth but not quite identical. I don't think it smells like Wild Vanilla from BBW. WV is more vanilla. Vanilla Sundae is mild vanilla + sugar.

It smells as if a chapstick brand made a “vanilla birthday cake” or in this case... a “vanilla sundae” flavor...but all you get is a basic vanilla lip balm. Nothing special and yes, it does smell like vanilla chapstick. I like it a little more than strawberry dip but that one is also giving chapstick..
