Velvet Petals Candied

I love Velvet Petals Candied. It's a sexy, sensual scent. I pick up caramel, florals and a cherry note. It reminds me of cherry juicy juice, which is very nostalgic for me. I assumed I'd like Bare Vanilla Candied better but this takes the cake.

this was my first time collecting velvet petals flankers. I was expecting something like a candied almond with caramel sweetness, a more gourmand version of the original. But... that's not really it. Instead, this leans much more floral, musky, and even a little fruity. I honestly don't get the caramel note at all, and the almond that the original Velvet Petals has isn't there. To me, it doesn't even feel like it should be called "Candied." The name makes you expect something sugary, cozy, and gourmand, but I don't really get that vibe. If anything, it smells more like a musky fruity-floral than a candied fragrance. I was hoping for a gourmand twist on Velvet Petals with caramelized almonds and extra sweetness. Instead, it feels like it loses a lot of the original Velvet Petals DNA, and I don't really recognize that signature creamy almond character that made me fall in love with the original in the first place.

This is something that I’ve gotten last Christmas as a gift. I wanted to know the notes in this because it didn’t smell like velvet petals at all. All I smell is cherry cola with caramel at the initial spray and sugary as it dries down. Never would I have guessed it has a musky note! I have been using it for sometime now but it definitely isn’t worth the money because the longevity is very poor along with no silage at all.

I was so pleasantly surprised! I definitely want backups of this!! So the notes are florals and caramel, I can’t really detect a caramel note but it does have the dna of VLJ and tease both of which are florals+caramel/vanilla. A lot of reviews here mention a cherry cola scent and yes! I definitely get a delicious juicy cherry in the opening. This is probably the best velvet petals flanker ever and my favourite from the candied line.

I wish this lived up to the “candied” line! It’s sweet and nice, but it doesn’t smell candied. I’m not sure what note keeps it to just being a floral, but it kind of fits better with their cashmere line. Aside from the name, it’s an absolute beauty of a scent.

Ha! Cherry-Cola references. And now I will have to look for that when I wear this again. I kept smelling sweet-tarts and a general "perfume" note. I don't notice caramel, but I like this one as it is.

It very much is a cherry cola kind of scent. Not what I expected but easily wearable. I imagine this going really nice on a summer night
