Velvet Petals La Crème

It smells like an expensive shampoo right from the bottle. the sandalwood note is quite prominent. The spritz is awesome and projects well. On the skin it turns into this subtle sweet candy like smell. Very pretty, very girly. When people described it as something similar to a cotton candy or bubblegum i thought the sweetness would be nauseating but the scent is nothing like that. There is nothing creamy about this scent either, so many youtubers tempted me to buy this mist saying it's creamy like yogurt and stuff... No! If i had to sum it up it smells like a floral candy haha. Like if queen of the night flower could be turned into a candy with some added sugar in it. It's an inoffensive fragrance. A perfect scent when you wanna smell girly but not in a childish way.

I just KNOW I would have loved this in middle school/high school but as an adult now I have a different taste but it’s still very pleasant I just would rather reach for other fragrances over this one. It’s very fresh (not citrusy) clean and has some fruity sweetness but it’s still mild. This is the scent I imagine when I think of “sleep over” and “skin care” so if you have a teenager that is into skin care and the clean girl aesthetics I think she’d like this.

I just got it's lotion and it feels like the most creamy , girly scent ever

yesterday it kept bugging me what this reminds me of and this morning i figured it out , it smells like those love hearts candy !!!! with some florals . i definitely smell custard in a way? but to me this is just those heart sweets . its really cute <3 <3

At first I hated this, and I thought it smelled like gross shampoo, but I grew to like it as time went on. Since this one sits on my vanity, I always go and smell it because something about it is just so interesting that makes me want to "go back for more". As someone who HATES anything floral, this one is okay to me, as the floral note is not extremely overpowering. This scent has a creamy aspect to it that is very interesting to smell, and almost has a berry note to it too. People have described it on youtube as a "candy like", "spun sugar", "cotton candy" type of scent, which can be deceiving. It doesn't smell anything like the original velvet petals (I prefer that one more), but layers very well with it. It also layers well with Warm & Cozy from PINK and Hibiscus Guava Fresca from Bath and Bodyworks. A negative on this though, is that it literally only lasts like 10 seconds. The lasting power, sillage and projection is terrible on this (even with my layering routine), and I could never wear this on it's own. As I like the smell of it, I prefer smelling it from the bottle than actually wearing it on the skin.

As powdery and floral as it gets. I don’t get a gourmand, custard or creamy scent from this at all. It smells like the hand soap my grandma had in her bathroom as I was growing up. I wouldn’t wear this on it’s own but I could see myself layering it with something more fruity & sweet to even out the strong sandalwood note.

My favourite of the VS la creme line. It smells like a sweeter more fruitier version of the original velvet petals but that might be the sandalwood mixed with the florals. I love layering it with the original velvet petals. This dries down to a sophisticated candy-like scent. Lovely. It also blooms so well in high temperatures. I'm in love with this!!

A fruity floral fragrance. Upon first spray it reminded me of laundry detergent, but after a few minutes it smelled like a pretty sweet fruity scent. It also sorta reminds me of Daisy Eau So Fresh by Marc Jacobs? It’s not exactly the same but I could definitely smell some similarities.

I get a melon accord, it is my favorite Velvet Petals flanker. It has a very satiny feel, creamy almost. I get a touch of sweetness, it layers really well with other perfumes.

There is a new-ish scent VS called Bright Mariposa Apricot that smells nearly identical but is 10 times stronger

Very Sweet floral fresh scent and I could swear that theres a Berry-like somthing in here but its so nice

So fruity, a kind of what...mango? Grape? I strongly prefer the creamy white sweetness of the original.
