Very Sexy Now 2015

Unsweetened cucumber and coconut sunscreen. Simple and amazing- that's it.

This one’s a total guilty pleasure for me. It’s basic AF, but what can I say, I’m a sucker for summery, beachy fragrances. Very Sexy Now 2015 mixes the warm, tropical smoothness of coconut with creamy white florals and a sweet, watery aquatic note. To my understanding, the cucumber note in VSN’15 is actually cucumber flower, while the coconut note is actually coconut water—which may explain why the aquatic accord here isn’t nearly as cool, pure, and refreshing as you’d expect from cucumber, and instead is mainly sweet and vaguely lactonic. There is a little bit of green, cucumber-y freshness as well, but not a ton. It’s mostly a scent like sunblock, and white floral notes carried up the beach on a light breeze. I also get a little barb of sweet-tartness from VSN’15, like a little squeeze of creamy citrus, or a sharp yellow floral in the mix. I’m not sure where that’s coming from—perhaps the cucumber flower?

This was a stop on my search for a fresh coconut scent to replace my beloved Harajuku Lover's G perfume for this summer. I wanted something with coconut, but something 'different' from G. I get a fresh burst of sweet coconut water on the first sniff, then a bit of cucumber mixed with white florals. The lasting notes on me were white floral with a hint of fresh green coconut/cucumber (I can't decide which). This reminds me of my memory of So de la Renta - I'm positive So doesn't smell like VS Now 2015 does, but my memory of So is green floral, and this comes close enough for my bad-memory sniffer. If you like green floral scents that skew 'clean', this may be the scent for you. Though the coconut is 'water' and very fleeting to my nose, this is in the running for a summer scent for me.

I blind bought a travel sized spray of this at the semi annual sale, and it's actually fairly pleasant. It's not really my style, but for that reason I found that it kinda grew on me. I don't own another perfume similar to this, so if I want something different, I'll spray it on my clothes. I usually loathe soapy smelling perfumes, but for some reason this one doesn't bother me. It's very linear and smells exactly how you'd think by looking at the notes: a soapy fresh floral with cucumber and a bit of coconut. You really have to like cucumber to enjoy this though.

coconut/citrus/cucumber.. the coconut is barely there I do get the cucumber flower the most fragrantica doesn't have cucumber flower in the note data base when you go to the vs website the scent has cucumber flower and not cucumber in it that's why it's a little more floral for those wondering where the floral note is coming from lol but anyways.. the scent seems soo familiar to me I knew it reminded me of something and then I just remembered what it was! This really smells exactly like coppertone sport spray sunscreen! Which actually is a pretty nice scent.

I usually don't like cucumber, but I tried this at the VS store today and fell in love! It is fresh and, indeed, very sexy. I can smell the coconut easily, and it's delicious. That being said, I still wouldn't pay full price for it; I hope the disappointment here means there's a chance I might be able to score this at a discount at the next semi-annual sale. Edited -- I just re-sampled a perfume I have that isn't in the database (Fragrance Republic No. 9, Florida), and there's a definite similarity! I know what scent I'm wearing tomorrow.

If coconut bubblegum existed, I imagine this is what it would smell like. There is this almost minty sweetness intertwined with the coconut and anaimalic tuberose that is nearly impossible to describe but lovely! The tuberose is there, in the background adding an earthy yet ethereal note. To me this is not a generic coconut scent at all, I love it and cannot wait to own it!

Very soft and nice. Good fragrance for spring and summer. Its like a flowery melon...but in a pretty way. :)

Very Fresh, aquatic, beachy, refreshing, cool, clean, subtly sweet, green, and floral. This is a more refreshing watery floral scent with a soft beachy feel as opposed to a more coconut prominent beachy scent. The coconut water gives it that soft beachy feel, while the cucumber flower adds to the cool freshness and watery feel. The tuberose gives a bit of a creamy floral smell. However, it’s more of a dewy/wet tuberose scent that’s almost a green scent, especially as it’s paired with the cucumber flower. I don’t get any sunscreen vibes with this one. It’s very refreshing and pleasant, especially on hot summer days. I also have VSN14 and VSN16 (my favorite). This VSN15 is the least sweet and least coconut scented of these 3. It is my least favorite of them, but it’s also not bad fragrance. I do still like it! I get nice performance with VSN15. The longevity is good, it lasts throughout most of the day on me. The projection is moderate, it radiates out about an arm’s length from me.

I bought this at a semi annual sale a couple years ago, and just now sprayed this on my wrist. I don't like it at all. I liked the two other versions of this, one in an all white bottle, and the other was in a royal blue bottle, 2014 and 2016, respectively. Both of those versions were quite similar, and were divine. They were stronger on the coconut, and very summery scents. This 2015 version is just not nice. To me, it smells like soap, or laundry detergent. I can appreciate a fresh scent, but this is too over the top. Just not a nice smell.

I was very exited to try Very Sexy Now and finally made it today to a Victoria's Secret store to check it out. The opening of the perfume is very nice but the dry down is not to my liking. It smells to me like a Mariah Carey perfume that I disliked greatly and gave it away because it was more than I could handle. However, I must say that the longevity is very good. I can still smell it and I have been wearing it for about 6 hours. In conclusion, I would not purchase this perfume. I do agree it smells like sunscreen mixed in with cucumber.

I bought last year's very sexy now edition, but I'm not a fan of this year's edition. To me it smells mostly of cucumber and a strong aquatic smell, and no noticeable coconut. It's not a very pleasant scent. I don't even think I'd buy this one at the end of season sale. Last years Very Sexy Now for summer(white bottle, 2014 edition)was so, so much nicer. That version has detectable coconut, and is a much more pleasant perfume.

All I can smell is the cucumber which I'm very turned off by. To be honest it's probably one of the worst fragrances I've ever smelled from VS. It smells like the cheap cucumber melon spray Avon sells. It's called "very sexy now "but trust me there is nothing sexy about this fragrance. It's just wrong in so many ways :(

My least favorite very sexy now out of the three that I have tried this year (2014, 2015 and 2016). I can barely smell any coconut in it but I smell a lot of cucumber which is not a note that I like in my perfumes at all.

Another sickly sweet fragrance. Over the top sunscreen mixed with jolly rancher candy. Boring.

I was so excited for this Very Sexy Now release. The bottle is gorgeous, the notes sounded fabulous, it seemed right up my alley. When I got to test it I was instantly disappointed. It does smell almost exactly like the Italian Mandarin release from a few years back. I don't smell tuberose or cucumber. It's not very aquatic in my opinion - far sweeter than I would have expected. It's nice, but it's not what I was hoping for. I will pass :(

I purchased the perfume online and received it this morning. The coconut note is none existent, as I expected as the note is coconut water and not coconut. I can smell the tuberose, which gives it the white floral smell to it. It's a nice scent, but not one that I would consider to an extremely beachy type of scent. Also anyone looking for a bottle of it, you can buy it right on the Victoria's Secret website (that's were I got mine).

Victoria Secret’s Very Sexy Now 2015 is cool, crisp, and sweet! Lush green tuberose, sweet coconut, and a very refreshing aquatic cucumber undertone. Victoria Secret released a scent called Very Sexy Italian Mandarin back in 2013 and it is extremely similar to Very Sexy Now 2015, BUT Italian Mandarin opens with mandarin oranges and Very Sexy Now 2015 opens with tuberose. I love both scents and I think they are excellent for summer!
