Here comes nostalgia, if you don’t wanna read the this part just go ahead and read the “review part please. So story goes like this; when I was a teenager I met with a boy at a very warm summer day when I was at the pool. To be honest even though I thought he was quite handsome I tried not to think about it much because he was a year younger than me so I thought he must be a foolish boy since he was younger :) He was a cousin of my best friend and came from a far town to visit for a few weeks, so obviously he started to hang with us. Him and I started to get closer each day and then after few days we fell in love. I can easily say that it was my first serious romantic relationship and I was head over the heels for him and he was the same. Just imagine finding out the person you like is liking you back as well, it feels unbelievably good and you feel like you hit the life jackpot. You just wonder how something so incredible is possible, Yet it happened to us. Even though I was very young I thought about spending rest of my life with him. He was very mature for his age, and very dreamy in every possible aspect. Imagine dirty blond hair with sun kissed skin, incredible smile and was also the first boy that I met who was wearing a real perfume instead of scented deodorants. So for me he was like a prince charming of my dreams! We were together all day everyday for a few weeks and I remember very vividly that he was only wearing his perfume at night. His perfume mixed with the warm summer night breeze was the best combination I have ever experienced on that time. Try to imagine warmth and shyness of first kisses of the teenage love, wrapped in intoxicating perfume and sounds of the waves and warmth of sands around your body under the summer night sky decorated with stars and milky way. Nothing to worry about, just love and hope and feeling like there is nothing else you want from this life other than having that moment forever... We spent few dreamy weeks together but when the time came for him to go back to his hometown it literally wrecked both of us. We promised each other to meet again next summer, and he left his perfume bottle to me so that I can smell and remember him. Seasons went by with crying, depression. Texts and phone calls were my life support. We went on like this for few years, meeting for a few weeks at summers and waiting each other at winters. Finally when I got old enough I went to college on his hometown, my dream came true! I was over the moon so that we can finally be together but unfortunately things didn’t go as planned for us and we decided to part ways but I still kept the bottle of his perfume for years... So almost 20 years later, as a very jaded, tired, old soul like all we are, I was trying to console my consumer soul with a bit of retail therapy and I entered the new opened VS shop close to my home and decided to try their perfumes (never tried their perfumes before) and bought the travel set of Very Sexy Line and this one was in it as well. I liked it even at the first sniff but dry down hit me like a truck. The first day I wore this I came home sitting casually on the sofa and lift my arm in no intention of smelling the perfume that I put on in the morning and then BAM!!! A super dusty, almost forgotten memory box unlocked just like that. The dry down is exact copy of his perfume and I couldn’t believe it! I time traveled in a split second! Obviously I have no feelings left for him but still love to remember this scent that meant so much to me once. VS very sexy orchid , Such simple, unexpected perfume unlocked such precious and profound memories. Incredible. That’s why I love perfumes so much! Until they invent time travel, perfumes are gonna be helping us to travel back in time for sure! So I wish every soul here reading this to experience profound love, yet don’t forget the real ones soothe your heart, not break. Hope that you all find someone that your heart can rest with. I think it is masculine yet I wear this perfume nearly everyday since I bought it because I love to smell it! It stays on me nearly all day, although since I mostly spray it to my clothes so I can easily say that it lingers greatly on the fabrics and I am 100 percent sure this perfume has vetiver note in it.

I’m honestly very shocked to see that there aren’t many reviews on this one. Out of every single run-of-the-mill scent that Victoria’s Secret has released (aside from the still relatively unique Heavenly EDP), this one was the stand out star. I sampled every single perfume they had to offer when I went into the store a few days ago, and when I first started, things were a bit boring. They have their ‘Bombshell’ line of perfumes at the front of the store. As you go further, the ‘Very Sexy’ line comes next. The original ‘Very Sexy’ was okay, but nothing to write home about. ‘Very Sexy Night’ was a bit better, but still nothing special. Then, I sampled ‘Very Sexy Sea’ and my interest started to pique. Coincidentally, the best was saved for last. ‘Very Sexy Orchid’ was mind blowing compared to everything else in the store. I could not stop smelling the card I sprayed it on while I was walking around the store. It was initially sweet and woody at the same time, the hallmark of a fragrance that hits that sweet spot of being simultaneously delicious, but also sexy and mysterious. I sprayed it on my wrist knowing that this was the one I was going to look for later on eBay. As I ran my other errands for the day and kept sniffing my wrist like a weirdo in public, I noticed the fragrance had evolved into an even more mysterious femme fatale scent. I felt like a sexy vampiress ready to go on the prowl while getting groceries at the local store. Keep in mind that I also had Thierry Mugler’s Alien Essence Absolue on my clothes to compare it to. This is the one true magnum opus of Victoria’s Secret fragrances and it’s one that I will be aiming to keep in my collection forever.

Trying a sample of this from the 12 days of discovery sample set. I’m impressed! This is definitely way more grown up and complex than their usual fruit bombs. I’m really happy to have a patchouli scent in this collection, it’s daring and intriguing. I would also call it unisex, although it leans just a hair more feminine. It doesn’t remind me at all of the original Very Sexy, and for that I am thankful, because that one smells horrid on me. This one is legimitately...very sexy. Definitely a nighttime scent — moreso than Very Sexy Night in my opinion. The creamy orchid and powdery iris were perfect choices for the heart notes of this beauty. It plays really well with the base notes. The patchouli stands out on me all throughout. This is full bottle worthy! Underrated scent for sure, and better sillage and longevity than most others I’ve tried from VS. If these notes speak to you, grab it on sale!

This is definitely a dupe for Marc Jacobs decadence. While it’s not exactly the same, it’s definitely similar enough and has the same vibe. I’m actually very confused by the down votes in the smells like section, while a lot of those suggested smell absolutely nothing like this. This is a very spicy, dark and musky, sexy scent. Definitely more mature, but a fragrance for someone who’s really confident. I like this a lot! But I probably wouldn’t really purchase it until I run out of decadence, as I can’t re-purchase that because it’s been discontinued. Definitely a cold weather winter scent, this would be disgustingly cloying in any type of heat. I actually had to stop wearing my decadence when I moved down south, I can only wear it again now because I moved back up north. But if you like decadence, and you find it very hard to fine because it’s been discontinued, this is a great alternative.

For those who are passionate about Victoria's Secret fragrances, this one may not be your cup of tea. Unlike the typical VS scents, which tend to be fruity, youthful, energetic, and sometimes generic, I believe this fragrance breaks away from that mold. You won't find the usual burst of fruitiness here. Instead, you'll be greeted by a warm and cozy embrace of patchouli. If you've ever experienced Kayali Vanilla 28, you'll notice that the opening patchouli notes bear a striking resemblance. Furthermore, the blend of black currant and flowers is masterfully executed. While I typically steer clear of floral perfumes, this one strikes a perfect balance between floral and fruity notes atop a robust and velvety patchouli base. I don't know if this scent will be your signature, but it will definitely be a good choice for an occasion like a dinner date. Super sexy and appealing perfume.

I just so happened to test the original Tiffany & Co perfume at Macy's then I wandered into Victoria's Secret and tested the Very Sexy Orchid. I sniffed both and thought they smelled about 80-85% the same, so I decided to look up the scent notes when I got home and lo and behold, they have very similar notes! They both have citrus (mandarin/orange), black current, iris, and patchouli. I'm actually pretty proud of myself because my nose is getting really good at recognizing dupes and similar fragrances as well as some notes. It's obvious that the Tiffany & Co parfum has a greater concentration of oil so it's more intense and has better longevity and sillage than the VS Very Sexy Orchid parfum. However, if you catch a good sale at VS you can get it for half the price of the Tiffany parfum. Both are a good evening/date night/going out scent. Very grown, sexy and mysterious.

This is the first perfume with pink pepper that I've actually liked. On me this projects strong patchouli and iris, and is musky on my skin. on my mom, it smelled of an indolic sandalwood-iness. She typically smells better in lactones and gourmands, whereas i work better with musky florals and gourmands are way too saccharine on me. I'd say keep this in mind before you buy it if you're seeing the black currant note and thinking it could be fruity--in fact I think it's not very fruity at all. The fruit is subtle and the florals are loud. Anywayyyyyy I love it!!!! it smells so good and the dry down is deliciously powdery after a few hours. The first time I tested it, I literally got home and went, "oh my god I smell good." I pair this with nemats white musk sometimes, but it's really musky enough alone. for a sweeter profile, I'll pair Khamra.

I first smelt this on my bff and had to ask her what scent it was! I personally like more gourmand scents so I didn’t consider buying this for me but instantly thought of my mom. she absolutely loves patchouli, she will wear just the oil on its own everyday and this scent reminded me of her! I gave it to her this christmas and she absolutely loved it! she pretty much only uses it now lol. it has pretty good projection and sillage, I can smell it from about 4 feet away or when she walks by me. it lasts probably about 9-11 hours after I sprayed it on my wrist, but it’s not sickeningly strong. if you like patchouli and dark berries, you’ll love this! it’s dark, warm and slightly sweet! the orchid compliments everything perfectly too! it’s definitely a night/winter perfume and feels like a warm sweet hug! I have no complaints! 9/10

The Very Sexy line from Victoria's Secret is criminally underrated. The problem with Victoria's Secret perfumes, at least the Bombshell and Tease scents, is that they come off as very teenage; bright, bold, and pretty, but not quite mature. If you're looking for a more mature, grown up scent from Victoria's Secret, this is your best option. The black currant and citrus immediately pop out, and the scent develops beautifully with the patchouli, deep floral notes of orchid and iris, and the sandalwood to tie it together into a sexy, head-turning scent. My boyfriend absolutely loves this scent on me, and I always receive compliments when I wear it out. It's a bit pricey for my tastes, however, the 1.7fl oz bottle has lasted me well over a year and there's still a ton left. Can't wait to try the others in this line!

I’ve been on a mission to find affordable dark, seductive perfumes, and this one is so good. It smells like a retired stripper who made all the right moves and owns her life outright. Raunchy, yet refined. Warm, spicy, woody, and floral. You get orchid and blackcurrant with a touch of brightness at first, then it dries down into patchouli, tonka, and woods that feel deep, creamy, and slightly smoky. One of my favorites, easily. Not a Tom Ford Black Orchid dupe at all, so don’t expect that. Discontinued, but still floating around online. And honestly, for the price, the gorgeous packaging and overall feel is really impressive. Victoria’s Secret needs a whole dark line because this one proves they can do it.

First of all, everything with patchouli in it doesn't automatically smell like Flowerbomb or La Vie Est Belle! ROTFL... Very Sexy Orchid definitely does not smell like either one of those. I would say it smells like the box it comes in: deep, sophisticated, and definitely "purple." It's sweet in a floral way, not gourmand or sugary. This would make an excellent choice for a crisp, cool night in your favorite leather jacket and a sexy pair of heels. It gives me thoughts of sipping a smooth pinot noir over a cozy dinner date. I will agree this is a deeper, longer lasting fragrance than what Victoria's Secret typically presents. A nice choice, especially for the price.

I hunt this after watching Ksenja review, and yes I fell in love in instant with the scent. I purchased the body mist version, though I love it but sadly it doesn't last long on my skin even in my clothes. It smells so watery down compare to the perfume version. Kinda regret buying the body mist one, I think it will be worth to buy the perfume one. Some people mention it is fit for night time, but I wear this to office and I think it's okay for daytime use and tropical weather as where I'm living. One of the best VS fragrance I ever tried.

To me, this is a pretty spot on dupe for La Belle. I was at the mall and I had sprayed La Belle on one hand and Very Sexy Orchid on the other and the difference was almost indistinguishable. I wouldn’t say this has your typical VS fragrance vibe. I would definitely expect it to be more of a high end perfume. It doesn’t smell cheap even though you can definitely get this for a good price using coupons or during a good sale. I think longevity is pretty standard as well. Probably one of VS’s best fragrances, if not, the best.

A fragrance that strikes the sweet spot of being equally delectable, sensual, and mysterious will have an initial sweetness and woodiness. Beautiful, dark, brooding, slightly fruity perfume at first, and I can definitely smell the pepper, which gives it a good depth, along with the citrus, which really completes the top notes. Although it occasionally seems sweet and enticing, I don't believe it has a too gourmand flavour. It has a very alluring, dark atmosphere. It has a seductive smell that is perfect for a night out.

Smells very similar to Kayali's Vanilla except this is a boozy berry instead of a boozy vanilla. This makes me feel like a high end escort. So sad that it's getting discontinued as this is Victoria's Secret best perfume, but I guess it doesn't appeal to a lot of their very young customer base. This perfume actually feels fancy unlike their other fragrances that just smell like Bath and Body Works. RIP

This is so seductive and sexy. I love orchid scents and I am getting a big bottle. It lasts on the skin forever. So mysterious and stunning. One of their best that I tried. A must have for women that like seductive scents. This one is a date night scent. So ravishing. Creamy and very well executed. Nothing harsh though its still soft and feminine. A masterpiece.💜💜💜

OK this is actually pretty! I expected something like very sexy night. It was totally different. I bought it because of the woody note i am in love. I'm glad i bought 2 chunky bottle in sale recently. I gave my dad one even tho it's a feminie but he loves it. And so do I. I may keep the other one to myself. I like it better than very sexy night in someway.

It's a juicy and seductive scent. The patchouli and Orchid really shine through. It starts off on the fruitier side but then transitions to a creamier, darker scent. It's great for a date night or girls night out and too heavy for day use in my opinion. Lasted on me for about 8 hours. This is a very addictive scent and compliment getter!

My god this is beautiful! This is exactly the kind of fragrance I always search for but so rarely find. I absolutely love it. It's peppery with a tobacco feel throughout. The vanilla is woody and the patchouli is deep. Very different from other VS fragrances. Really outstanding! You must try it!

Omg this is gorgeous! Truly very sexy indeed. I’m not a patchouli lover but this is so sweet and sexy it reminds me of Burberry black with an added touch of fruit and sweetness. Wow! Very very impressed. I will be getting a full bottle before this is discontinued.

Smelled this perfume at the store for the first time today and immediately I thought of Tom Ford's Velvet Orchid! It's such a beautiful, mysterious, and sexy perfume. Not a safe blind buy so I would definitely suggest stopping by Victoria's Secret to test it out.

Very beautiful and deep sexy scent. It's nothing like the other juvenile sweet and playful Bombshell fragrances, it's more like into the night or Sofia due to the patchouli and dark berries. It's absolutely Seductive and nice for a night out alluring scent.

This is a must have if you like dark, syrupy feminine scents. It's strong and noticeable but also feminine and lovely. This is best suited for cooler weather but it can be worn at anytime. Definitely great for date nights!

I picked this up recently as a blind buy, as there were no testers. To my surprise, it smells very similar to one of my favorites - Maya by Tocca. I love the darkness and sexiness of this scent.

I enjoyed this, what came to my mind when I smelled this was a beautiful, powerful moonlight/mystical flower in a mysterious, dark enchanting forest.

Shimmer412, in my opinion, are not similar, maybe a few notes are the same, but overall they are different, I have both of these options.

I got the Maison Alhambra dupe for this called Very Velvet Orchid. There's no page for that one so I will leave a review for it here. I initially thought I was getting a dupe for Velvet Orchid from Tom Ford. I know the scent profile for the Black Orchid and Velvet Orchid range and upon smelling Very Velvet Orchid, I realized it had to be a dupe for something else. This is nothing like Velvet Orchid for me except maybe a slight similarity to Reb'l Fleur by Rihanna. However Very Velvet Orchid has a different vibe from Tom Ford's perfumes. VVO smells like a syrupy sweet and almost medicinal plum, cough syrupy in a way. It has a really nice vanilla that I've smelled before in a few different fragrances, Halloween Blossom by Jesus Del Pozo is my most recent purchase that comes to mind, when I think of this type of vanilla. I can smell some orris and patchouli too, but not much. Less than Twilight Woods from BBW so if you've ever tried that one, you'll know what I mean. This is like a syrupy plum and heavy vanilla, barely there patchouli version of Twilight Woods. Mostly it reminds me of a few different perfumes: Reb'l Fleur from Rihanna, Twilight Woods and all the dupes for it like the Bodycology/Body Fantasies dupes. This is lighter and more fruity vanilla, with way less patchouli. It also smells very similar to Halloween Blossom, however that one is very tart to the point that you can almost taste tart, fruity candy in the back of your throat. Very Velvet Orchid is not sour at all for me. This Maison Alhambra dupe is strong and lasts all day and overnight on my clothes. I wake up the next day smelling really good because the perfume just lingers so much. Of course, I have no clue about the Victoria's Secret version. If they ever make a page for Very Velvet Orchid, I'll just delete this and move my review there. However, if you like Very Sexy Orchid, then trying the Maison Alhambra version might be worth a try. Middle Eastern perfumes are usually amazing in terms of performance and quality for a cheap price.

I purchased the whole Very Sexy line in the large size (Original, Sea, Night, Orchid, and double rollerball with Wild Palm/Beach). The Very Sexy line of perfumes are my favorite "cheap" perfumes. I wear them depending on my mood, the occasion etc. They smell more expensive than they are. You can really wear this day or night, but I'd classify it more a night/winter scent. I would 100% recommend any of the Very Sexy line, especially for the price. For this particular scent, I can say out of their Very Sexy line, this one is more unique (not quite as unique as the original Very Sexy). This one is also the heaviest, sweetest one. It's floral, woody, with a little punch of fruit. The fruity notes make this not too sweet, not too over the top. I think it would be universal likeable in my opinion. A safe night time perfume. Not too wild lol. It's deep, pretty, slightly sexy. Not too mature, not too youthful just like the rest of the line. Which is why I love them.

One of my favorite Victoria’s Secret perfumes and the best of those that I’ve tried from the Very Sexy line. On my skin and to my nose, Very Sexy Orchid is some sort of cousin to both La Vie Est Belle and Mon Paris. Remove the super sweet praline from LVEB and the synthetic, juvenile strawberry from MP, add in some rich fruity notes and (a little too much, IMO) orris ... and you’ve got something similar to Very Sexy Orchid. Side note .. the brand describes this as having an “orris woods” note, yet Fragrantica has plugged in the iris flower. I get that many consider iris and orris interchangeable, but let’s be real .. there’s a difference. So, just a heads up .. there’s plenty of both the powdery, floral iris AND the dusty, somewhat metallic-earthy orris root in this.

This is what the original Very Sexy should have smelled like IMO. Love the bottle color & the name! I need to sample this again in store in the mist & lotion. I have the rollerball & honestly love that form. I'm almost afraid the spray EDP will be too overpowering as my chemistry seems to expand this particular creation to near beast level projection (very similar effect with Basic Instint as well). Longevity has been very good on me 6-8 hrs easily, maybe more. This to me is Very Sexy, sensual date night type scent.

So I got a full bottle of this and this time I am getting La Nuit Tresor a la Folie vibes. There are overlapping notes for sure and I really feel like I wouldn’t need both. VSO feels the same but maybe lacks some of the depth of LNTALF. I can’t say for sure until I do a side by side comparison. I do get some spice and depth in Very Sexy Orchid on first test. I will test more though.

I love scents like this. Deep and luscious. Can only be worn at night. Don’t recommend wearing it when you’re already a bit nauseous though. It can be a bit intense. It says it’s a woody fragrance but in the beginning it’s just crushed berries. After that it’s mostly patchouli but then it doesnt project as well. I wish it would last longer.

creamy, sexy, deep, nighttime. more creamy as time goes on. airier, and cleaner. very clean at first. patchouli borders on masculine but thats my own skin chemistry. my skin tends to make scents more spicy/sweet than normal. after 20 minutes, is sweet and peppery but mostly sweet. daytrip, but not dinner.

It's a woody sweet scent.. mildly floral. but I cant agree with its name.. SEXY. I don't find it that appealing. Good option for clubbing or sporting, but won't wear it on a date. Still like it because it is different and bold. Can be worn on day or night if suits one's personality. Overall its nice.

I'd say this is a patchouli, juice berry fragrance. I think it could be considered unisex (slightly more feminine). It's one of the few VS fragrances that is on par with a designer scent. Ordinarily, I don't like patchouli. But this, with its notes of black currant and pink pepper, I'm a fan!

I got this during a recent sale! I really like this one :) the patcholi in this, is smooth & not too green. I think it's mixed very well with orchid & black currant. This layered with Bare Vanilla honestly creates that Bare Vanilla Cashmere scent that was released last year!

I immediately thought of Flowerbomb when I smelled this. It’s not an exact dupe but it gives the same vibes but with something that makes it sexier. The woody notes give this and edge and it hasn’t turned dusty on me like Flowerbomb does. I think I want the full bottle.

I enjoy this one! This is slightly more complex to me than the other Very Sexy perfumes. I get a lot of plummy-ness and sensual florals. This is an easy grab for a night out.

It’s nice - but it doesn’t stand out, or last on me. Flowers ✅ Very sexy orchid flowers ❓ I have a travel bottle and I’ll enjoy it, but it’ll not be a full bottle purchase.

This is very 2010s. Smells just like B&BWs Dark kiss. It has that purple smell lol. Grape-ish juiciness. Its nice, takes me back.

I tested this today on skin. The initial smell is complex, sharp and dark - after that it is very similar to Agent Provocateur's Fatale. Fatale is fruitier and lighter due to the mango, gardenia, chocolate and musk notes it has, but both perfumes share pink pepper, orchid, patchouli, iris and blackberry. If you have one, you don't need the other. Out of the VS range I think Very Sexy Orchid is definitely a good one.

This is a really nice, deeper floral, fruity scent. I like that it isn't as sweet and sugary as other VS perfumes, and this one feels a bit more sophisticated and mature. It's a great option for a nighttime perfume, for those who prefer fruity, floral, and fresh scents (like me - I personally hate how spicy perfumes smell on me!).

After using this a few times this positively smells like a mixture between Sofia by Sofia Vergara and berries like the ones in Falling in Love by Philosophy. While this is nice, it’s not full bottle worthy. I will use my roll on and not repurchase.

For me, this perfume drove home an important lesson about the nonsense of impulse / blind buys based on enticing reviews. First, I have to say that Victoria’s Secret fragrances began to lose their appeal for me sometime around my early 20s (and it’s been a while since), but every time I’m out of town where I can find a physical VS shop, I always pick up goodies for the women in my family, who love all things VS. So last time, I decided I’d also gift myself a little something, for patiently queuing for the sake of my personal angels at a terribly crowded shop: I got a rollerball of Very Sexy Orchid, which, based on the reviews I’d looked up beforehand, seemed like it would be the one I’d like best of what was available. I’ll say this for it: while I usually find perfumes in rollerball format fall a bit short in projection and tend to cling close to the skin, this was not the case with this scent: a couple of tiny dabs of this are plenty, because this stuff PROJECTS, and lasts what feels like a lifetime, so I can only imagine the havoc this could wreak in spray form. Unfortunately for me, this is *not* what I want to project or have on my skin for very long: it’s too cloying, too loud/screechy, and so, so synthetic it actually smells cheap to my nose (and the price for 7 ml was certainly not cheap). I love many cheapies, don’t get me wrong, and I also *love* many heavy-hitting, unabashedly synthetic, oversexed party/date night type of perfumes, but Very Sexy Orchid to me smells like everything I dislike in this type of scent profile: it tries way too hard to be dark, alluring, and sensual, and ends up coming across as both basic and overdone, giving me the impression of a generic sheep in wolf’s clothing. In short, this is absolutely a “try before you buy” scent.

From VS website: "Lush blackcurrant shimmers with the freshness of citrus and pink pepper. Rich orris woods and orchid grow wild in the heart. Deep santal is softened by sheer patchouli." The description of VS Very Sexy Orchid seemed promising. However, the patchouli note is similar to the one in B&BW Into the Night, leaning heavily towards a cold, camphoraceous experience that's medicinal. The result is a harsh and pungent scent that overwhelms the other promised notes. To my nose, it's abrasive, acrid, and stings the senses. I was hoping more for a similar patchouli that is used in YSL Mon Paris, which is stunning. I can see how others might enjoy this bold and earthy use of patchouli. Unfortunately, the overwhelming patchouli overshadows any potential enjoyment of the other notes, making it a miss for me. If you do enjoy Into the Night by B&BW, you might enjoy this one!

This starts off smelling like licorice (maybe the black currant?) and it's different and pleasant. I thought, from the first few sniffs, that I would love it. But then it devolves into darker, heady florals and patchouli and becomes a lot less youthful. I ended up having to wash it off my wrists because I couldn't stand it. One of the other flankers in this collection, Very Sexy Sea, has a similar progression--candy sweetness at the beginning that morphs into a much more mature scent.

Ok first of all this is not la vie est belle, trust me. i get men perfume vibes from very sexy orchid. Yes it is sexy and feminine but at the same time masculine. And nothing new, i said i’ve certainly smelled this before when my firts trial. Some florals and patchouli i can all smell. Disappointment for me :(
