First Snow

Upon application there is this this concoction of musk/white tea notes I think? The eucalyptus isn't very present, but even then the smell is a bit fresh, if that makes sense? And of course it smells like vanilla. On the dry-down, I get yoghurt vibes for some reason. The vanilla becomes much stronger and the mint has more presence now, while the white tea note stays the same. Think a vanilla flavored yoghurt/pudding/cream. The musk kind of disappears into the background and just seems to operate behind the scenes (aka it wouldn't be the same smell without it, but it's much less prominent than before). Can smell something reminiscent of flowery notes sometimes, but not overly so. Not much projection unless you overspray, but I like it that way. :)) I bought it because I was on the hunt to finding a true "snow" smelling fragrance and it got recommended. It doesn't smell like snow at all, but in hindsight, I should have expected that! I still love it a lot and it's become my fav fragrance out of the ones I own so far. I'd solidly put it into the gourmand category though.

This is beautiful. For under $15, this is absolutely beautiful and wears well. Some people probably enjoy being contrary just to feel relevant and I'd never want to take that away from them. But if you need an easy reach, anytime, grab and go, inoffensive scent... This is it! It rides the line of middle ground in every way. It's got sweetness without being a gourmand, it's got freshness without being a freshie, it's vanillic without being a standard "vanilla", it's aromatic without being green. It's a great job done by this perfumer. I'm about to look up what else they've created. I can't even imagine how much better they could do at a higher price point.

This is a hidden gem. A lovely, easy reach fragrance for cooler/cold weather that is both fresh and cozy at the same time. The opening really does remind me of a snow...it's crisp and aromatic with the eucalyptus and tea notes, but these notes are in no way harsh or overwhelming - they actually smell "cooling". The eucalyptus and tea are sitting on a bed of vanilla, tonka and musk which turn this fragrance into a clean yet cozy fragrance as it dries down. To me, this fragrance perfectly captures the cold freshness of a first snow as well as the coziness that a blanket of snow inspires.

Bracing, biting opening with the tea and eucalyptus, the latter of which I sense prominently; it even cools my skin. Beautifully dries down into a fluffy, cozy, and warm vanilla-tonka-musk. A hint of orange blossom in the mid provides balance. This really does smell icy and warm at the same time. I'm so impressed. Why is no one talking about this? I purchased my bottle for under 30 USD. Wonderful value and will look into more Victorinox perfumes.

Bought this on the gray market after hearing it recommended by Veronica Says on YouTube. It's lovely and easy. It's winter here in the Midwest (currently -7), and this is a fresh, soft, enveloping scent. It's refreshing without being sharp or biting. Longevity is 3-4 hours, but it's very office safe and an easy bedtime scent.

This is has become one of my favourite bedtime and office friendly scents. Grabbed it from the drug store for $19.99 CAD not knowing what to expect. It’s actually quite lovely; warm and cool at the same time, and somewhat comforting. For a blind buy, I’m very pleased and will definitely repurchase.

This is very very similar to Bois by Commodity’s archival line. This is good and fresh and woody!

This is surprisingly good! Soft cozy & fresh.

Opens with a hit of champhor and cooling eucalyptus. Mmmm! Very bright and chilling, so clever choice of name. I will say though, that this is brilliant for warmer weather because of how light and fresh it is. It reminds me more of Le Parfum than Satine, because of the aromatic thouch + vanilla. Le Parfum turns a bit heavy and dense for my liking, but I could bathe in First Snow. It wears similar to Satine in the sense that it's soft and envelops you in a nice cloud of fluffy, light scent. I am easily overwhelmed by heavy and dense perfumes, so I love perfumes like this. Update: Smells like there is a tiny drop of heliotrope in FS and it's not as heavy on the vanilla as I expected. Unfortunately, this is LOADED with musk. The type of musk that nauseates me so much I can't wear it. I hate that the drydown bothers me because the opening is fantastic.

I love this scent on the test strip, on skin it smells different, and much fainter.. I’m not sure about getting this because of that. I am anosmic, it keeps disappearing and reappearing to my nose 🥲 I can barely smell it at times. It has something in it that I can describe as smoky? I don’t know better so I’m assuming it’s the eucalyptus and white tea - even though I’ve smelled eucalyptus before in Australia and it doesn’t have that pungent smell. It also has some sugariness from the orange blossom. This is beautifully done, unlike anything else I’ve ever smelled - it’s not easy to find an aromatic, or a non gourmand / less sweet vanilla that I enjoy. This feels like something different to me!

Your skin but better in a cashmere sweater. This equally fresh and cozy. Imagine you take a shower with green tea and eucalyptus body wash and your skin holds on to that scent , then you put on a warm out of the dryer sweater that has a hint of the musky vanillic fragrance left from the last time you wore it. That overall fresh and cozy feel is what I get from First Snow. This makes for a great "clean girl" fall and winter scent.

A very likeable scent that strikes the perfect balance of vanillic sweetness and 'aromatic' greens that also lean sweet. It definitely has similarity to Lalique's Satine, but that one's a lot creamier and powdery. This is much lighter and floral, but definitely first cousins. Perfect all year round, this would make a great nighttime scent right before bed, can spray it on your person, linens, etc. Super affordable.

This was a great blind buy! Opened with the white tea and cooler eucalyptus notes, and the orange blossom floral intermingled with a warm vanilla and musk. Very versatile. The initial notes were great for daytime....and the vanilla and musk are keeping me warm into the evening. The eucalyptus doesn't last long to me..and this fragrance changes to vanilla and musk quickly. Bottle is simple. Sprayer is average.

Love this as a bedtime scent! It's a bit sweet and subtly refreshing. Truly a lovely and underrated fragrance. Great value for the price - got it for around $25.

I should like this, and I do love the top notes. The eucalyptus and white tea combo is so refreshing. I wish it stayed like that. When I spray it, it feels like melted snow, and the water is still cold. It smells clean and therapeutic. The dry down also smells light and clean, but the musk starts to emerge and make the texture feel hazy as opposed to crystal clear. There should be nothing wrong with the blending of the notes except something does feel off. Could it be a drop too much of tonka? Is it the orange blossom? Is it a chemical note I can’t put my finger on? I’ve tested this three times and there’s always a lingering trail of boiled eggs, and it’s giving me a headache in the dry down along with the leftover eucalyptus. For the price, it should be a steal, and I’m hesitant to declutter it too early; perhaps, it will get better in the fall/winter months, but because it makes me feel nauseous, I’ll need to accept that not every fragrance is meant for me, and I can’t force it. I do like wearing it to bed if it weren’t for its negative side effects.

This was a nice find! I was looking for a winter perfume that wasn't overly spicy or smoky while still being distinctly wintery.. I'm excited to test this out in the coming months. There is definitely a cooling aspect to this perfume- You get that sort of cold sensation in your nose like you typically would from something with eucalyptus. It's not medicinal, and I don't think it smells like eucalyptus itself, but the effect is there. I think the tea note is rather un-prominent, and what shines through on me is the orange blossom and vanilla. Overall I find this perfume rather sweet and powdery. The initial cooling followed by the sweet vanilla and orange blossom does seem rather cozy. Going to try layering it and see if I like it more that way, since right now I’m not sure how much I like it as a stand alone. Either way was worth the $30 I paid for it.

Something about this perfume reminds me of freshly poured scented cat litter. I can’t shake it. It’s a little powdery from the dust and then you smell the fragrant litter. It’s an unused box. No nasty ammonia or anything offensive, but yeah...I get litter. Pass!

This is very unique and interesting. I'm on the fence though, because although I like the soft creamy aspect of it, the aromatics give it weird finish. I'm hoping as the vanilla ages, that it will become more prominent.

This was a blind buy online because it's not available anywhere in my country. I had really high hopes after reading the reviews, but I was so disappointed. This is a powdery, very vintage, cheap smelling white musk. It smells a bit cold too, so I guess I get a hint of the eucalyptus as well, but this is 99 % old school, cheap white musk. You could find a lot of scents like this in the drugstore in the 80s and early 90s, at least where I live, and I didn't like it back then either. If you didn't grow up around scents like this and you don't have the same negative scent memories attached to it you might like it, but for me this is a no. 2/10.

i swear I got this one for the mint but, I was disappointed to how “bland” it smelled. kinda like a typical musk...no notes just straight musk :( 4/10

My sister said it smelled like an airport. Incredible, unexpected opening, really feels 'cold'. Artificial vanilla dry down. Lasts max. 1 hour on me.

I think this is meant to be a dupe for Kenzo Peace Vintage. The bottles are very similar. It's done a pretty good job. A little more powdery and a touch less woody. Still unisex although the sweetness is amped up. No weird rubber smell. If you miss Kenzo Peace or Gap OM, this might be a good band aid. I am going to layer it with a little spiced citrus to try to do better than the OM remake that was most recently done as that was not a win to me. At the price, worth a try!

Touted by a You Tube influencer as a cheap hidden gem, I think a lot of followers bought it (including me),causing the price to inflate. I like the scent, cool toned and different, but the longevity is terrible on me. Doesn't last a half hour, so a disappointing blind buy.

This is a “polite” scent for the office, and also a nice bedtime scent. Great to wear around people who are sensitive to perfume.
