Hedonist Rose

Hedonist Rose smells sweet and innocent, maybe a tad fruity. This is not a dark, red rose with velvety petals. It is more like darling pink baby roses, which I personally prefer over the scent of red roses. At times the fruity aspect seemed more prominent; at other times the rose itself was more prominent. Sillage was pleasant and soft, and it lasted fairly long on me. Many lovers of rose, such as myself, are seeking their perfect rose, whatever that may be. I think this is a nice option for those who are seeking sweet, pink, baby roses. I smell no spice at all. [Edit 9/11/15: I own this one now, and it smells more complex when sprayed from the bottle. You can really smell the white wine and fruit. It's very sweet. The scent of rose comes and goes on my skin. Sometimes it is there, and other times it is more like wine and fruit. Very beautiful, but such a shame that it lasts only 3 hours before I feel a need to touch-up. Still worth it for me, though, as it's beautiful]

Hedonist Rose is exactly that -- it feels like an indulgent rose-- not in a gourmand or caloric way, I can't explain it. It feels like a Disney Princess rose -- medium bodied, natural, but sweet-smelling, just so pretty and warm but soft. I do get the comparisons to Montale Roses Musk, but there's something in that formula that smells absolutely plastic and synthetic on my skin that is not the case in this fragrance. Additionally, when compared to Roses Musk, the rose in this scent feels more realistic and the wine note gives it more depth and dimension. When I smell this, I smell rose, peach, ice wine, and white musk. Syrupy, musky, soft, medium-bodied - colored is warm pink. I also recently tried Rose Magnetic (which I also live, which does feel pretty similar).

Aaaah! The opening notes of this are absolutely glooooooorious... I almost cried. A choir of angels singing about rose and peach and wine... But the drydown is pure drugstore shampoo. I wanna say Fructis, maybe? It's something I've smelled before, for sure. Just as well. I need the original Hedonist and can't afford both! ***edited later to add: Well, I finished the rest of my sample and I was wrong. I actually do keep on loving this. I do think the drydown is a bit shampoo-ish... but it's a shampoo I'd want to smell like. I keep catching whiffs of it & I think it's delightful. Going to hold off on getting a bottle unless I magically find one on the cheap (I wont, I know)...

I just got my grubby paws on a bottle of this and am in love! My first purchase from Viktoria Minya was the original Hedonist because I truly LOVE honey. My head swooned. THE BEST! The rose version is delicious as well but far less sillage. Still checking on longevity, but I have a feeling that will be light as well. If something magical happens, I'll post an update! UPDATE: The initial spray is effervescent!!! But it really does go down to a skin scent rather quickly. Sad to say the first few minutes are the best :o(

This rose perfume is just unique. I have had before other rose aroma perfurmes, but with this one I think I hit the jackpot. When I applied it step by step I could feel the smells coming up. When I applied it on my shirt, the smell lasted for a long long time. Everywhere I entered, some said a compliment, some said directly that the perfume I have is just great. A few days ago I went to work with the perfume on me. My colleagues said that this aroma made the day brighter. I think it goes well in any season.

I got this as a gift for my 2nd aniversary. I am amazed. Now I am following this perfumer, she has interesting concepts. The Hedonist Rose at first sight is a rose scent, this is what you feel from the beginning to the end mostly. It is a fresh, dewy rose with some sparkle going on , later it goes to a peachy rose than to a spices and mature but not dominant rose. The drydown is amazing, last long on the skin. I am impressed.

When I saw the bottle I became curios. I love wondering around perfume shops and checking things. This was a pleasent surprise. The crystal in the bottle, the exterior, the snake like gift box with it, something amazing. I wish I could read the thoughts of this perfumer. The rose aroma with white wine scent blew my mind. Elegant, fresh, and still ok to wear it every day.

Oh God, I have it! I'm so happy about it, it's so very beautifule scent! In the first 1-2 hours it is a miracle, some ethereal beauty- peach with white wine and a little jammy rose! It last 3-4 hours, sillage is moderate. DIVINE I have to buy again:)! Edit: I bought today my 2. bottle Hedonist Rose...It is always a huge love for me :) :) :) The beautiest parfume ever!!!

I think just for the bottle it worth buying it. Besides that the fragrances that jump out when you are wearing it are just amazing. I adore that winey aroma with a dominant rose. It is indeed a mature rose aroma. I think it goes well in winter and during spring or summer. I don t know if I felt something similar. This wine arome is a unique idea.

A very beautiful rose scent. For me it s like being in a rose garden, dressed elegant, feeling perfect and sexy. The scents are in a perfect quantity, I feel I can seduce my boyfriend with this any time.

A gorgeous , well designed fragrance. I feel this is a lighter rose scent, soft and fresh. Longevity is good, after applying, it gives you the pleasant rose and the other fruity notes. Amazing, unique

I didn't know it's notes when SA sprayed a generous spritz on my hand but I knew there must be rose in it considering it's name,yes there's rose in it but not very strong like some other rosey perfumes that seem to be a rose soliflore though they have a lot of other notes listed I agree with other reviews that it's a pink rose which blends very well with sparkling wine and sweet fruits to produce a pretty and girly,youthful scent When first sprayed,it was veryyy familiar for me and I liked it a lot but as time passed it got a little nauseating for me not that it's heavy or too sweet, nope,just that I have usually problem with blend of peach with rose and musk(and sometimes violet)when these notes appear in a synthetic form and both peach and rose are totally synthetic to my nose.by using the word synthetic I mean that they don't smell like real,natural fruit peach or flower rose.they don't smell bad,on the contrary it smells really beautiful but unfortunately it's headache inducing for me and after couple of hours I remembered why it seemed so familiar.it reminded me a child perfume I used to use as a kid,of course hedonist rose is much better and this comparison may seem unfair but I can't stop thinking of how much it reminds me my cheap,pink perfume which is probably the reason of my today's headaches while wearing similar synthetic peachy,rosey scents(I uses to douse myself in it) Hedonist rose has an adorable bottle which suits it's pink,sparkly,pretty scent.It's one of the most gorgeous bottles I've seen in my life but I can't pay 185 bucks just for a pretty bottle.I'll try to find it's sample and if it doesn't induce further headaches then I can consider buying it(however even if there was no headaches this price isn't fair for it's scent IMHO but I can't stop thinking about it's bottle) It was sprayed on back of my hand about 8 pm and it's completely gone 5 hours later so longevity is moderate on my skin but sillage was good in first hours.it was as strong as first minute in third hour of application which is very good in my book By the way I couldn't detect much musk.I'm a musk lover and die for a good musky rose but before seeing it's notes I wasn't thinking of musk.just pretty rose florals,sparkly fruits(I was thinking of litchi along with peach) and bubbly champagne-like wine

This smells so very reminiscent of a bath and body works spray I had as a teenager. Something rose/peach oriented...I haven’t smelled the actual spray in at least a decade so I can’t say how similar it actually is, but every time I wear my sample of Hedonist Rose I am taken back to being a teenager. It’s not a bad thing, and I’m sure this smells a bit more sophisticated than that did. I get rose most of all, a fruity fresh rose. The fruitiness is bright, like a peachy white wine - or, more accurately, a white wine-y peach. The amber and musk are present, but very light and mostly only present in the dry down. This is simpler, lighter, and less lasting than I have come to expect from Viktoria Minya, though I think my perception may be skewed as I only own full bottles of Hedonist and Eau de Hongrie, both of which have a bit more silage and lasting power. My other samples, cassis and iris, are similar to this in these regards. All in all, I like this, very tart/fresh/fruity/refreshing yet not sweet or cloying but I don’t think it’s FB-worthy for the price. 6.5/10

Creamy musk, vanilla and bright pink roses. This is closer to a Mancera scent than to the original Hedonist, maybe like a softer, lighter Roses Vanilla. Which is fine with me, I was not a fan of Hedonist anyways. The white wine note in this is very prominent to my nose, even though I often get this wine-tinged edge from rose perfumes without an officially listed wine note. It's a nice addition here, as the base of the scent is quite sweet and warm and the cool sharpness of the wine balances the scent. It smells smooth overall. Not a jammy or soapy kind of rose. Hedonist Rose is a pretty fragrance. I personally would not wear it, mainly because something about the musk in this reminds me of how a former friend of mine smelled. I also think the perfume is a little overpriced for what it is. It's a like for me, but not quite exciting enough to be a love.

I purchased the sample set of 4 Viktoria Minya fragrances (Hedonist, Hedonist Rose, Iris and Eau de Hongrie), and I have to say I'm not really getting it. This to me is a simple sweet, slightly alcoholic watery rose-its like rose liqueur. It's linear, not complex, minimal sillage and very poor longevity. I like it, but its fairly ordinary on me. I found it rather sweet and pretty, but nothing particularly unique or striking. I much prefer JoAnne Bassett Luscious Roses-I think I prefer my rose more full on.

This fragrance was so light on my skin that I turned off the light so I could focus on it better. Soft, subtle, and understated. I imagined a 1920s powder puff — a very light pink, with a pink satin top just a shade darker. Light as the fragrance was at first, it did not dissipate too quickly: it remained a soft steady presence for a while and the rose became more apparent (if a little soapy) as time went on.

I generally like rose as the flower but not really in perfumes. That ́s why Hedonist Rose was a nice surprise for me. Now that I see the main notes, I understand that the strong and characteristic smell of rose is well balanced with white wine and peach. Probably that is why this scent is slightly sweet and rather moderate. I have tested a sample and now I plan to order a whole bottle.

This is pure rose-petal femininity. It is of course the rose version of Hedonist, but this is just a bit more delicate and becomes a close skin scent. Great if you wanted a demure bridal scent. I wish it lasted longer. Don’t be fooled into thinking that the Absolute version of this is a stronger alternative, as it’s completely different altogether.

Light, champagne fizzy rose, with some synthetic aspects, but overall pleasant. The peach adds a bubbly wine-cooler effect, kinda Bartles & Jaymes. No cloves appear at this part though. HR would work great in Summer, late spring, or at the office. Low silage and low-moderate longevity and mostly a skin scent unless applied heavily and to clothes.

this one starts with a fresh, light pink rose with hints of peach, lemon and white wine. after about 10 minutes the peach and wine become more pronounced. it's a peachy rose with hints of white wine. i like this one, think maybe it would work well in fall (?) it works better on me than the original hedonist, which i had such high hopes for.

A lovely, soft and delicate pink rose scent. Very feminine and pretty. Unfortunately I will have to add to the chorus of those saying that the sillage/longevity are disappointing. I actually have a hard time smelling this & her Iris one after an hour or two (the original Hedonist had perfect sillage imo).

Great longevity, beautiful rose aroma, complex aromas, elegant bottle. Ideal for spring and summer.

It's terrible! Sorry, girls, but it's smells like cheap perfume from mall. I bought samples, because read good reviews. I have Hedonist, Rose, Cassis and Iris. Already tried Hedonist Rose and Iris and both on me smells like cheap, terrible nothing... I'm glad, that I have only samples... Please try before you buy.

I think that the white wine note ruins it for me. I dislike this one.

This is actually a scent that is quite difficult to desribe for me! First of all, it is gorgeous. Wait, I mean its GORGEOUS!!!!!!! If you are a fan of musky roses, then this is a must smell. Just forget about the description for a minute and let yourself go with the winey juicy scent! This could be just a rose scent, as this is what you will get from the beginning to end mostly. but at first, it is a fresh, dewy rose with some sparkle going on (cider maybe?!), later it goes to a peachy rose opening up slowly to the spices and mature (but not heavy) rose. the drydown is amazing, last forever on my skin, but I have to add, most of the perfumes do, in general. All I can think when I wear it is "wow I smell amazing!" to me that's the sign of a great perfume. I own Montale's Roses and Musk, and I understand why the other reviewer compared to it, although for me this creation is much much more satisfying. They are in no way identical, rather both of them are beautiful musky roses. VM's rose has more depth, it has been visibly more studied then Montale's. This perfume can be worn at all times of the year, but goes really well during current wintery-snowy time, have to test still in spring, which probably still be fantastic! Sure it is expensive, but a bottle is the most unique in my collection and it makes me feel so good every time I use it, that for me it is totally worth it, compared to other bottles I bought for around 200USD!

OK, first thing I would like to say that this is a gorgeous perfume. When I first applied it, I was WOW this smells so familiar. I couldn't quite point my finger on it, but I knew I've smelled this before. Then it hit me, I have smelled this before in Montale's Roses Musk! The more I applied Hedonist Rose the more I smell Roses Musk, but it's a much lighter version of it, but it'a almost identical. So you already own RM then you can just skipparu on this one. EDIT: I've been wearing this for a few days now, and I'm just a tiny bit disappointed that the silage is very mild. Where the first perfume Hedonist, was more lush with huge silage and longevity, this one is just OK with very little silage and longevity. First Hedonist was more for mature older women who are in their 40's, 50s, this one is more for a younger crowd late 20's, early 30's. I will definitely not buy a full bottle of this, but I was really hoping to, because those bottles are amazing, you just want to own them and hold them in your hands. It's a nice fragrance, but for now I will pass.

Another masterpiece has been created by Victoria Minya! This is my second VM scent and its the most beautiful in my humble opinion. This fragrance is a delicate, airy and fruity flowery which smells like the taste of rose syrup that my grandmother used to do in my childhood! The weirdest coincidence is that grandma used to put a bit of peach aroma into her rose concoctions as well, and all a tiny bit fermented with sugar just smells about 90% the same as VM's HR! The composition is very fresh and very beautiful, like a sweet peachy rose on a cold spring dawn! I am in love!! This is just heavenly in every way possible. To me, VM frags are eccentric and very very intelligent! Only she could put together these relatively simple ingredients and get such art out of them! The silage probably the only thing I am less enthousiastic about, but longevity is very good, especially that I only sprayed a small amount on my neck, but it surroundes me gently after a few hours still. This is a must have for die hard rose lovers, just beautiful!

This review will no doubt go down like a lead balloon, but I tested "Hedonist Rose" today and had to conclude that it smelled pretty much like a slightly less shrieky version of "Liaisons Dangerouses" by Kilian, which is funny, because that's also how I would describe the original Hedonist, once the honey and rum notes dissipate. Victoria Minya seems to be rather fond of peaches :/ Sillage wise, "Hedonist Rose" is restrained in comparison to the wall of sweetness that was the original. It's quite transparent and linear. To me it doesn't develop beyond a girly, fruity shampoo with a breath of desert wine. It's wearable, pretty and very feminine, but far from the masterpiece some are claiming it to be. There's just not enough depth, and for something that reminds me of shampoo, the price seems rather inflated.

This starts of with bright juicy fresh pink Roses, it is a natural Rose note for sure, and the citrus makes it sparkle. The composition has a slightly spicyness but a definite musky note in the base too. Its a familiar scent, I feel I have smelt this kind of Rose perfume before. I like it but not "in love" though I love the bottle. I feel it has that sour musky note I cannot tolerate, however lovers of Stella etc.. Would love this!! Got the sample pack of all four, which was a great way to test them!

I got this scent as a part of the 5 scent tester set from Viktoria Minya. Along with the original Hedonist, it is one of my favorites. IT is a beautiful fragrance. I smell jammy rose. However, upon first applying it, my mind compared it to Rose Pompon by Annick Goutal. I see no one else has mentioned a comparison, so maybe i am remiss in stating this. But it could also be that no one else has smelled the two and written a review. If you love this and cant afford it, try a sample of Rose Pompon.

Nothing I can say that hasn’t already been said, but does anyone else find that this doesn’t really smell like... anything? I mean, I can smell it. But compared to the original Hedonist it’s practically nonexistent. Thought maybe I had COVID so I asked other people if they could smell it on me and they said they couldn’t. Even if I put my wrist right up to their face they said they could barely smell anything! I love the way it smells, I just wish it performed like the original Hedonist does.

I had the chance to try it out. A friend just purchased a bottle of this. When I applied it, it gave me surprises. It s just beautiful. I'm not sure if I smelled something similar. This is a unique rose aroma. My husband really likes it. It really gives you the hedonist feeling. It's very feminine, it s delicate and dominant the same time, it gives happiness, it's very long lasting. It goes with any type of dress and for all seasons.

From the kit I have, this is the most promising scent in my opinion, lovely creamy and fruity rose which for me is a perfect mix of being long-lasting and not overwhelming. Scent is slightly weird on a paper, but on my wife's skin it does wonderfully! ( I am a lucky man :) I find the white wine note very amusing, it adds a fun zing to the scent while it develops elegantly.

The scents in this version are unconventional for me. Unconventional in a positive way. The white wine aroma in this makes it even more romantic. I can even feel the vintage aroma in it. It just lured me, I am he facinated and in the skies when I apply it. It s soft and powefull at the same time, it makes me delight, it gives you joy and lafter.

It took me forever to figure out what this smelled like, but I finally figured it out! When I was little my sister and I both had these dolls (I think they may have been Cabbage Patch Dolls) and they each had a different scent. Mine was rose scented. This perfume smells exactly like my rose scented cabbage patch doll from 1999.

Minya Viktoria, a hungarian perfumer founded her house and creates the most mesmerizing perfumes; all with a little touch of her home, and also mine, Hungary ❤️ I have in my hand Hedonist Rose, a gorgeous rose fragrance which is accompanied by peach and white wine - a beautiful frizzy floral that sparkles on the skin.

I’m so happy I was able to order a sample from this .. because I really don’t like it.. all I can smell is artificial peach and lots of wine... it smell like a peach snap drink and wine mixture.... I definitely don’t want to smell like a bottle of booze... can’t smell the rose at all .. :(

Too much rough peach(lactonic) nuance with Eugenol mixture, and rose ketone is hideous for me. It smells like what-I-think-failure on my samples of perfume compounds by myself. lucky me, most of people like this. so I get confidence for my works.

I just finished a sample of this perfume. I really like it, this smell of rosy champagne, sweet just in light way, really nice. But as well sophisticated. Sillage is close to skin,but quite long lasting.

I love this perfume and I am offering it to myself at chritsmas but my friend is telling me :why not offering the samples to friends as they are sold by 4 for the 4 hedonists perfumes. So yes why not .

Got the sample. Love it. First impressions are positive. I applied it, it lasts, I adore the rose scent. It s not dominant, it s there in a perfect proportion.
