Hedonist

THIS PERFUME IS ABSOLUTEY BEAUTIFUL! One of the most beautiful scents I have ever encountered. The only other perfumes that have compared so far with such a beautiful opening for me have been Calligraphy Rose and Malle's Portrait of a Lady. Not saying they smell similar (they don't, not at all) but PoaL's and CL's opening took my breath away and so did this one. It's so amazing, the way the sillage will fill up the area around you with just a drop and give off the most heady, gorgeous scent. I'm not good with detecting specific notes yet, so this is just general impressions. Opening has lots and lots of sweet honey, somewhat boozy, very rich and bombastic. Lots of peach, but not the kind of sickly fruit peach smell I get in a lot of 'peach' fragrances, where it smells synthetic and overly fruity. Here it is perfect. This perfume is extremely rich, though. In fact, probably way too rich to wear to work or for every day but perfect for a night out or a special night in ;) Sillage on this is great, longevity is not very good on my skin (but nothing is good on my dry skin for the most part, so this is more about me than the perfume). I need this perfume. NEED. I am totally asking for this for Christmas. Edit- 3 months later- well I didn't get this for Christmas, so I have decided that my *only* issue with this scent is the price. I really wish it came as 75mls instead of 45, then I could justify it as being about the same price as a SL bell jar. Lol. Edit again- Well whatever about the price, I bought it anyway. There are so few scents that I LOVE LOVE LOVE, that I think it is worth it. And besides, it's not as outrageous as the price of some of Malle's stuff and I wanna buy that too!

You can smell the quality of ingredients. More than one person commented that this fragrance smelled “very expensive”, which is a strange compliment, but attests to the quality of the oils. This lasts ages, envelops you and leaves a long lasting pleasant trail. - Golden hour on an autumn day in Scotland. An old castle overlooking the golden sparkling forest. You drink Scottish mead with peach and cinnamon as you say goodbye to the day. - Old Quebecs Christmas market. A sparkling winter night and the streets are bustling with people under the golden Christmas lights. You watch and enjoy as you take bites of the most delicious warm honey cake with apricot drizzle. -A warm spring day in Savannah. Your on your front porch overlooking the wisteria tree as butterflies hum about. You sip the loveliest fresh peach jasmine tea with honey sweetener. -Corsica on a hot summers day. Your overlooking the blue waters and the beach. You sip on your peach aperol spritzer as you smell the honey nearby Ultra femme. It’s perfection for me. Sparkling, sweet, woody, fruity. Can be worn casually or formally at a daytime or evening event, any season. Not work appropriate as it projects too strongly

"Hedonism is a school of thought that argues that pleasure is the primary or most important intrinsic good.In very simple terms, a hedonist strives to maximise net pleasure; pleasure minus pain". The luxuriant bottle, with golden bohemian crytal adorned juice, appears as if an artefact from the mine of King Solomon. Indeed, Hedonist is a befitting title for this all ensnaring perfume. I really feel that if Gold had a scent: it would smell just like this. At first sniff I am captivated, Hedonist is piercingly sweet, as in perfume personality.I am now thinking of my Peaches and Cream barbie that I received for Christmas when I was 6 years old.She was dazzling, truly a sight to behold with her gorgeous gown, the fine, flowing skirt with sparkling sequined bodice, matching sheer fabric boa and peach hued heels. Osmanthus is one of my favourite notes in perfume, it's like the bubbles in Champagne. Jasmine and Orange flower complete the floral Fantasia. Rum and Tobacco fit the persona and ideal of Hedonist superbly. The base is sophisticated vanilla. I find it hard to believe that Eve tempted Adam with an apple, it had to have been a ripe juicy peach! Now that I can believe, and believe you will too once you try Viktoria Minya's HEDONIST.

Hedonist smells like honey to me...Sweet, bright, delicious, almost sinful with a slight touch of illicit...it’s gorgeous and to me, this blend is perfectly balanced. Though the longevity is not the greatest, I love the smell so much. It is sooooo beautiful. That fruity/honeyed note is quite magical; it isn’t heavy at all, it smells airy, light, bright and a bit sexy/naughty!! I get primarily a sweet note of honey, then fruits, some florals, a very slight smidge of booze with a bit of smoke but that’s wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy in the background. The honey/fruity note is what’s most prominent on my skin. I am going to have to get a full bottle even though the longevity is an issue. Personally, I don’t think I can be without it...don’t judge me 😬😬 PS: not a safe blind buy!!!!! Get a sample first. (Luckyscent is where I got mine). Edit 6/14/22: I purchased a full bottle just a couple of weeks ago and I do not regret it one bit. It is one of my favorites for the Spring/Summer season and even beyond into the Fall. I am even considering getting Hedonist Absolute for this Winter...

If there could be a dessert that was made of a thin layer of rum-soaked spice cake, topped with baked peaches drizzled in honey, that's what I get from Hedonist at the first spray. Hedonist is gourmand, not chypre. I don't get anything chypre here, maybe just a little bit of woods, but I don't think that makes it a chypre. I smelled spices like cinnamon and clove. I finally realized there is a note of tobacco, which tends to smell like ashy cinnamon on my skin, which I love. I don't really smell flowers, maybe osmanthus. The scent of it is really golden, reminding me of honey and ambrosia with a glass of Alsacian gewurstraminer; or like peach cobbler and vanilla ice cream. I bought without sampling first. The bottle and presentation are indeed beautiful. More perfumers should care about those things. UPDATE 7/29/15: My chemistry has changed since pregnancy. I now get just more complexity than I used to. I now smell jasmine on my skin when I never did before. I enjoy it much more than I did 2 years ago, and it is now a huge LOVE instead of like!

I was interested in testing a few of Viktoria Minya’s scents because my partners Hungarian and wanted his view, specifically on the Tokaji wine fragrance, but ended up falling in love with this one. Maybe the formula has changed in the last 10 years, because I genuinely don’t get the bad reviews. Hedonist is a gorgeous, sophisticated, feminine scent. It opens with the boozy rum and peach notes, then transitions into quite a realistic warm honey, followed by the jasmine. For me the Jasmine fades off after the first few minutes and you’re left with a beautiful, light, sweet, honeyed peach and apricot scent. I don’t get any tobacco or other notes. There’s nothing rancid, soapy or cloying about this. It smells very happy and comforting to me, like warm sunshine in a bottle. This is light and easy to wear. It could be worn all year round, in any occasion. I got my bottle discounted, but at today’s prices for perfumes, the cost was very reasonable for a niche scent. This is also unique to my collection and to anything I’ve ever sampled. Stunning!

I'm jealous of those that get smokiness in this, as I think a little more depth and I would have had my new signature scent... but I feel it lacks the edge i'm looking for. Seems too good-girlish to be called Hedonist, to me. I was expecting something a little more raunchy and sinful. It is however, absolutely beautiful. seriously. Straight from the bottle is smells strongly of rum, but that disappears within seconds. Then It's sweet, rich, and luscious peach. Not that overly sweet peach nectar emulating scent that i'm used to finding in peach body sprays and such bath products... This is like diving into a fresh juicy peach. Or a jasmine peach sweet tea. Providing background support are the white florals and a little woodiness. It's clean and classy. Very wearable. Could see this on a sophisticated teen all the way up to 50+ This just smells pretty... and looks pretty... I mean, look at that bottle. It's gorgeous! I can't say anything really bad about it, except that I want to feel more than just "pretty" when I wear a scent.

Very punchy, floral opening with that tangy quality that makes you want to sniff again. Boozy, slutty peach. I loved Hedonist Absolute (HA) and this is like its younger sister. The tobacco, rum and vanilla are there but much more subdued. The peach and floral notes are center stage early on. As it dries down it becomes more sweet and the vanilla shines through, the rum and tobacco stand out slightly more later in the day but it's overall a sweeter and more feminine drydown than HA. Feminine from start to finish, whereas HA starts feminine and becomes more earthy and leathery. I'm not a huge floral fan but these floral notes are quite palatable for me, probably because they mix with the peach and rum. If this is anything like HA, the lifespan will be impressive. I really think Hedonist and Hedonist Absolute are gems and absolutely worth sampling, both are very interesting scents.

I usually only read around here, but now I HAD to register here just to be able to comment on this perfume! It's the best creation I smelled since a few years!!! It's full of emotions, as another commenter said, it completely mesmerizes its wearer. Starts with quite strong bergamot notes, I directly smell the peach along with the osmanthus that makes it more natural and quite earthy - woody - dry. Then the perfume softens within a few minutes, it turns creamy and slightly sweet, but in a very mature and elegant way. Classy and luxurious, the attitude reminds me of another favorite of mine: Narciso Rodriguez for Her. It doesn't smell alike at all, but it's effortless sophistication is pretty similar. As time passes, there is more and more personality to the fragrance, and finally, for quite a few hours I can smell a wonderful base of musks, vetiver and patchouli. Perfection.

I received my bottle of Hedonist this morning. I am in love already. The bottle and the presentation box are beautiful. The scent is honeyed peach, warm and sumptuous. It's creamy and intoxicating. I get sparkling peach and rum to start, then orange, jasmine and vanilla. It's decadent and delicious. Very feminine and unlike a number of other niche perfumes I own, instantly wearable. It's a classic beauty. I also think women of all ages will appreciate this. I think the previous post restricting this amazing scent to the over forties is not the case. I don't think it's for teenagers but it's certainly edgy enough for confident twenty somethings! I am in my thirties and it's my new crush. Absolutely worth the money. I was also lucky enough to have Viktoria call me to check that my order had arrived. Such a thrill!

HEDONIST.... a peach teetering between ripeness and spoilage is combined with a chord of rum thick as molasses that creates a honey accord. The initial blast of fragrance has absolutely no restraint, displaying the epitome of sweetness. Who knew a peach fragrance could smell so luxe? But this fragrance is dangerous in its indulgence, there is a dirty (verging on sickly) tobacco note sitting on a bed of vetiver.... if you are one who is faint of nose you may feel queasy from this potent parfum... which is why I think this fragrance is a challenging one and not a safe blind buy. I absolutely adore the fragrance for the brief life it has on my skin. It’s entrance is clamorous but then, just as suddenly as the whirlwind appeared, it then passed. Only to leave me dazed and delighted by the experience 😊

Picture a meadow with trees full of ripe, boozy peaches. Now imagine a beehive slowly oozing rich, succulent honey down onto the peaches from the branches above. A breeze stirs the air, bringing the scent of flowers basking in the golden rays of the sun from the meadow and the hint of shadowed woods nearby. The slightest trace of tobacco lingers in the air from a mysterious stranger who passed through sometime before. That, my friends, is Hedonist. I treasure every second this perfume lingers on my skin. It lasts around 8 hours before fading to a whisper of scent that clings for a few hours longer. Sillage is moderate, dependent of course on how much restraint you are capable of having when it comes time to douse yourself in this glorious concoction.

I wish I had never smelled the absolute version. When I first tried Hedonist (the original) I loved it instantly, I wanted to buy it instantly. And I absolutely adore the bottle design, real crystals! How clever. However, upon comparing it with the absolute version I am so disheartened to realize I do in fact prefer it over this. Hedonist is a boozy, intoxicating fragrance that makes you feel brilliantly wealthy. It's sensual and gluttonous, very sweet. Compared to the absolute, Hedonist can be worn all year in my opinion and is a much more suitable daily wear fragrance. It's lighter and more agreeable to a larger palate. I really adore it, and I can't get it off my mind in the least. I may just have to save up to buy both. 8.5/10

What a delicious parfum... it is an experience. I ordered a sample online and it arrived yesterday. I tried it on my wrist after I finished cooking and the smell was intoxicating. It is pure honey and peach nectar, but it evolves with the rum and tobacco. It's a grounded scent, almost classic and yet something you've never smelled before. This is where I coincide with other reviewers and bloggers that it is old fashioned and contemporary at the same time. It is not a ripe sweet linear fruity fragrance for the common wearer. If that is what you are looking for, you won't find it in this perfume. The scent is sophisticated and mature, slightly floral with a lot of honey. The rum gives it a sort of darkness.

Fell madly for it as a decant a couple of aeons ago, and splurged on the fb with the sparkling crystals in it. It’s quite remarkable in the way it treads a fine line between a sort of classicism referencing that overblown Sophia Grosjman style of synthetic fruit and aldehydes, something like the old original Jadore, and a modernity. The quality is awesome, it hums its bee pollen gathering golden nectar sweetness for about 24 hours on me. Perfect for an Autumn day here, with its sweet honey and warm sunshine. It is probably a super luxurious evening gown perfume, but hedonism can happen at any time and goes on and on 💛🐝💛🌻💛🍑💛🍯💛🥂💛🐝💛

This is one delectably adult fragrance. Heady and sweet, yet so far from cloying - the sweetness is lush rather than sugary. Peach dominates in the beginning, but melds beautifully with the orange blossom and vanilla giving one that smooth-as-silk sillage. Rum, cedar, and tobacco accords add a slight dash of spice and intrigue to the mix, ultimately creating a lovely, long-lasting fragrance that is as elegant as it is so very voluptuous. And need I mention the ridiculously charming bottle? The price, however, is no joke; this would make a gorgeous gift for someone special.

Hedonist is extremely wonderful! It's a very pretty scent, very unique, with beautiful packaging! I had a hard time finding recently a niche gem that is UNIQUE and easily WEARABLE in the same time! I smell mysteriously dry vetyver with sophisticated osmanthus, and a lovely woody-musky-vanilla base that stays on and on and on for hours, the perfume really has great longevity. I have to admit at first sniff, I didn't find it sexy, for me it's not dirty or provoking but it definitely has an effect on my BF, who finds this very sensual on me!!! That's all what matters!!! ;-D

It is a hot perfume in a figurative and common sens of the word. Common sens meaning that this perfume makes the cold days warmer. Also it is a perfume that gives you that hedonist and also horny feeling. The notes are quite hard for me to mention. It opens with sweet, than it moves to something less sweet when a different aroma comes up, it is a kind of rum aroma. It gives the feeling of tasting and observing this perfume. From this initial stage, the perfume takes you to another level of beautiful hot scents: orange, tobacco. Love it, adore it, unique.

I absolutely love this fragrance. I originally bought it shortly after being released for a birthday present for a close friend however after smelling it, I found it so sexy and enticing that I couldn't give it to her and instead sits on my shelf waiting to give to "the one" that deserves to wear this as I want to appreciate during intimate moments and not on a friend. All the women I have let smell this quite enjoy it but I think their husbands are likely to love it even more....if it has the same effect on them that it has on me. ;)

Hedonist, a ripe peach with rum. Sweet yet not sticky, enticing and exquisitely provocative. The name perhaps is leading me to get all kind of naughty images, sun kissed skin, bare shoulders, summer, beach, music, cocktails and no inhibitions. It's a sweet perfume but it doesn't project as heavy as Opium for example. And I guess that's what it makes it inviting, like a bedroom door ajar, alluring and insinuating. I'm a guy but at the moment I'm going crazy about this perfume. I find it exquisite, irresistible and oh so sexy.

A velvet-gloved hand holding the biggest, most voluptuous peach dipped in honeyed rum. I'm discovering a love for boozy rum fragrances this year, and this one is NOT a disappointment. This one longs to be worn with an opulent gown but can make you feel like a million bucks in cutoff jeans. Blooms in the heat - but also warm and sensual in cold weather. I can see how it's not for everyone but if it works on you, it REALLY works. I think the bottle design is a bit silly but if the juice inside is so good, I don't care!

I love this scent so much. The longer it wears the more the elegant honey peach comes out. It's sophisticated while still being sweet. VM is such a sweetie to deal with, not to mention super talented and with great aesthetic taste to boot. Everyone loves this scent, me, the boy, my sister, random strangers... I just can't seem to find another scent I'd want a bottle of more than this one! I only wish that she sold bigger bottles so I could spray with more abandon!

I saw the bottle in the suggested perfumes on the left bar of fragrantica and I couldnt not click on it! It is so rare these days to have a bottle so beautiful that I would even put it in my saloon instead of a artwork. These days, the bottles are the cheapest most simple one... I like when the perfume is not only a scented liquid but a piece of art by itself. or else, let them put it in a plastic bag! I would definitely buy the bottle and show off with it :)

To die for. I see the similarity to the One (as someone else mentioned). But Hedonist is the superior fragrance. Hedonist creates a mood. A single spray and everything kind of slows down. It is intoxicating, decadent, indulgent. Think Timothee Chalamet wielding a peach in "Call My Be Your Name". Warm honey, boozy rum, lush peaches. Smoky tobacco is fleeting on my skin but very present on a test strip. Absolutely gorgeous scent and the bottle is exquisite too.

Imagine biting into a peach at its peak ripeness, where it's so plump that just a small graze will unleash its juices. The flavor is so sweet that it tastes like honey. This is how Hedonist smells. It captures the pleasures of life. Like a bright sunny day or a cozy winter night, this perfume somehow is able to envelop you in warm memories. There's nothing dark or dirty about it. My all time favorite perfume that embodies happiness.

Oh my gosh! That's perfect perfume for me! Everything is perfect. Every detail! The box. The name. Funny and lovely playing bunch of the crystals in the bottle. Bottle itself is a piece of art. And the fragrance.... so rich, so uplifting and feminine! Deliciously elegant blend of rum, peach and osmanthus. Lasts forever! At least 7 hours. Base is also very interesting and unique. I'm in love with Hedonist. I'm the Hedonist :)

To me, this is delicious boozy peach. Emphasis on the booze, with maybe a hint of vanilla and osmanthus. I love sweet scents, and I love this perfume. Major compliment-getter as well! Update: The tobacco note really comes through when you sweat!!! I get nearly no tobacco note if I spray it in my hair or on cool dry skin... but sweat a little bit, and the tobacco note will punch you in the nose!

very unique fragrance! although the name would suggest something loud and overwhelming, it is an elegant perfume at first and only when develops, it becomes very sexy. Hedonist starts surprisingly dry, even though there is a decent amount of osmanthus and its peachy effect detectable, the vetyver and noble woods add a special luxurious feeling to the compostion.

This is what I always wanted D&G The One and Chanel Allure EDP to be. Rich, boozy vanilla custard and peach liqueur. Excellent projection and longevity and gorgeous bottle as well. Worth the price and very elegant and sexy. It does smell a bit like Slumberhouse Kiste but it's lighter, better, and more refined. Hedonistic indeed, a full bottle will be mine!

The box and the bottle are absolutely among the prettier ones. The scent is sweet and alluring, like rays of honeydripping Sun... It`s optimistic and bright, but can yet be worn in the colder time of year as well, due to the softness and comforting notes in it. Most of all I like the drydown, when the woody vanilla play so well on my skin. A real delight.

Peachy honey vanilla rum, in that order. Then more honey in the drydown. Warm and yummy. Gourmand scent lovers should definitely give this a sniff. Though I'll wear it out and about sometimes, I mostly like to spritz this on before bed, or at home when I'm in my pajamas curled up with cocoa and an ebook. Delicious and comforting, very fun to wear.

I love it, its amazing and am getting it for my wife, unless I did drink it!! alright after its been over 16 hours, i can still smell it on my skin, but its lost its sillage, i cant describe its smell and notes like most people BUT, i can say am smelling an art combined with quality, me as man i find it the best thing that my wife can wear for me.

This is an amazing grown up gourmand. Bright, juicy, boozy, sweet yet still refined. Excellent sillage and longevity. Mainly peach/apricot and rum, but on a wonderful bed of vanilla and woody notes. There is a marked absence of freshness, so one should consider whether the occasion for wearing it is appropriate.

I really like this one. The bottle is lush, the scent is beautiful - flowers, booze, tobacco, peach, mmm....There is a soapy top note that saves it from being too sweet. It's very sophisticated and grown up. The performance is also quite good, no issues there. One of my favourites.

This has to be in your wardrobe. The feeling what this gives is peerless. I agree it is unashamed hedonist. It pushes you to enjoy and live the moment to the fullness. The fruity and sweet aromas are sparkling out. Have the sample, it will last long, after that bottle purchase.

I just want to know how do you make a fragrance that is this beautiful!!! I love the peach and the tobacco is not too prominent, its blended just right so you don't smell like a dusty pipe. I just love this fragrance and I hope it is never discontinued

This perfume makes me think of lazy summers when I first use it. Warm lush evenings, with bees buzzing. It also gives me images of elegant ladies in white dresses in rowing boats, like the ladies in some of Monets paintings.

Although I'm more into vintage perfumes, this recent discovery gives me hopes that traditional french perfumery is still alive. Hedonist reminds me of the big classics while it has a pleasant modern vibe to it.

a rich, boozy peach covered in honey. if you like the sound of that, consider a sample. the depth and sophistication might surprise you for such sweet ingredients. i love it and dont have anything like it.

Viktoria's perfumes are gorgeous; the Hedonist is so much not a streamline perfume. You wouldnt smell something like that in big names perfumes. I hope the brand will have more great perfumes in the future

Fruity, floral, feminine in a grown-up way. I wish the rum note lasted longer, it comes on strong at first but dries down quickly. If you're looking for a darker, more mature fruity-floral, this is it.

Beautiful fragrance, it is absolut magic, a real love affair! I cant stop smiling when wearing it! First it comes off as harsh and overwhelming, but it calms quickly down to a luxurious caress.

Amazing fragrance, sexy and sensous all at the same time. I definitely get some Peach in this, but its deep and luscious, nothing child like or fruity here....all grown up sexy woman scent.

Whatever is inside, i love the bottle for my collection :) if what is inside is nice like everyone says, it will be "the cherry on the cake" like we say in french!

If you want a party, naughty but still elegant fragrance, than this is a perfect choice. It makes ma think of hot summer parties and elegant evenings. Great
