Bonbon Cola Fizz

Tested this on skin and test strip at Ulta. I absolutely LOVE the opening of this, it’s photorealistic coke with lemon and perfect for hot weather. Unfortunately both cola and citrus notes leave my skin in 15 minutes. I got around 30 minutes max on the test strip before drying down to a nondescript and one note white floral. The citrus notes stick around a bit longer on the test strip into the drydown. The scent on my skin was gone completely in 30 minutes. So bummed! Will try testing on fabric because I loved this, but honestly my Bath and Body Works body mist with a similar scent profile (I Scream Float) lasts far longer than this on my skin and remains fizzy cola in the drydown. Edit: Went back to Ulta and tested on fabric. Cola scent basically gone in 30 minutes, dry down is white musk after that. I do get small whiffs of the cola scent for a couple hours afterwards, but it’s so faint I almost wonder if I am imagining things... Edit 2: I bought this because I had an Ulta coupon and because I couldn’t get the scent out of my head, it’s become my favorite cola scent for however long it lasts. I did notice the third time I tested this in store that the fragrance smelled much stronger once it had been used a bit, so I am going to let my bottle sit after getting some air in the bottle and see what happens. 🤞

Doesn't scratch the itch of a "true" cola scent, but to its credit the longevity is the best I've tried so far, and the best smelling. This should've been more accurately named "Cola Candy", "Cola Pop" (this one would be a fun little double entendre), "Sticky Cola", something of that nature: the other reviews are right that this smells more like cola-flavoured candy rather than the drink itself. Think gummy cola bottles or cola flavoured Chupa Chups. Still great smelling, and the cola-like notes actually stick around for about ~2 hours on my skin. The base has some vague white florals thrown in there, jasmine? It's soft though, won't irritate most noses. Overall longevity is 4-5h, which isn't GREAT but none of these "cola" scents have noteworthy lasting power in my experience, and more detrimentally, they usually lean masculine. This is similar to Born To Be Unforgettable but without the nauseating base notes (that are present in most male frags) that give me a headache! Anyway, I have to say this is pretty darn good, much respect to Viktor&Rolf. Will probably pick up a travel size, and if it wears even better in colder weather I may commit to a full size!

I want to wear this during the fall season and see how it fares, because in the humidity it lingers quite well without becoming suffocating. I was worried the test strip was getting my expectations too high, but this smells just as good on my skin and clothes! I don't know if I'll buy it again full price, but for the price i got it for, I'm quite satisfied and happy with this. Don't get a cleaning product smell, mainly cola and musk. I was worried the lemon would be too sharp, but thankfully not!

It's opening with a cola citrus-y smell. After a while the citrus is more prominent. I can't stop smelling myself. You can compare it to a Haribo cola candy. It's addicting and I think I will be buying a backup bottle. Unfortunately it's not very longlasting. But that's the only negative thing. I am really happy with this release.

Love this one so much! Absolutely perfect for summer. Immediately got very strong cola notes from first spray. After around an hour faded into a peppery lemon scent. Didnt really get the cleaning product smell some mentioned, 10/10!!

Got the discovery set for my sister so I could specifically smell this one👀 I will be buying one for myself now. I love the androgynous scent! It's on the more masculine side without being too overwhelming !!

As a Cola enthusiast, I was definitely craving for a cola scent! This delicate bonbon is the perfect fragrance for me, sweet & fizzy. I don't know if it's due to the musk, but it really goes well on my skin.

Although this is not as cola forward as I could have wished, I really really enjoy this scent. It manages to catch the cold and fizzy aspect of a soda, wich I really like. I have tried a few cola scents over the years, and they always end up smelling more like warm, flat cola, not this one. Although it's more of a cold fizzy cistrus soda, with a hint of cola its really really well done. I will gladly trade in a little bit of the cola scent, for that fizzy cold aspect. It's a fun playful fragrance, nothing serious but still really well done and not to be dismissed. I don't care much for the caramel or the berry one. The caramel one smells like so many other perfumes trying to dupe bianco latte and Cheirosa 71. The Berry one has something screechy in there, that bothers me, and it's the exact same raspberry note that L'oreal has used in LNT musc diamant, LVEB L'elixir and Alien pulp, I would pick any of those three over the raspberry jelly any day.

A fragrance that definitely lives up to its name! This is a very fizzy/effervescent cold glass of Coca Cola with a chunky slice of lemon. The cola stays as it dries down but becomes less prominent, and the lemon definitely becomes the dominant note. After a while all I smell is a musky citrus. It’s fun and bubbly and definitely on the youthful, sweet side (which is what I tend to go for in a fragrance). Longevity is meh. Lasts a couple of hours max. But at this price point, I’m happy to reapply regularly and stay in my little cola/lemon scent bubble all day. My only regret is buying a travel size over the full size!

Opens like a straight up cola flavoured sweet/candy with a hint of lemon, the name suits the fragrance perfectly in the opening, it even has a fizziness about it. Have to say both myself and my partner loved the opening. Dries down to basically smell like a slightly more feminine version of Dior Homme Cologne - it's actually so similar, my partner also agreed and said she wouldn't buy it due to it smelling like one of my fragrances 😂. Very summery, and as good performance as you'd expect from this type of fragrance (slightly under average).

I smelled this today and this is going to sound totally bizarre, but if there was a Chardonnay version of cola, this would be it. It had an almost dry scent note to it that kept it from being cloyingly sweet. I would however prefer a sweeter cola note, but I found this to be crisp and refreshing. My husband prefers this over Snif Soda Snob. If you want something sweeter, go for Soda Snob but this is not bad at all.

This is definitely a fun one! It's mainly a citrus perfume in a very refreshing drink, sorta way. The dry-down still holds onto the light cola note in the background. It's exactly what it promises to be, and I am glad I bought it. It will not work for every situation, but who would think a soda perfume would be for every-day use?

My favourite of the new 3 cola, caramel and berry. It smells like a cola candy before softening into a citrusy,plush musk. Unlike Caramel, this one feels like you could wear it to work and still be taken seriously. Maybe I might buy it...

This smells like a photorealistic Coca Cola at the opening. My son said Mountain Dew. I only tried it on a test strip, so I don’t know how the dry down is. But definitely an impressive opening.

Refreshing cold sweet scent! I love it. When you first spray it you can almost feel bubbles lol. After that it gets pleasantly sweet and clean

I picked up a sample of this partly out of curiosity, and partly because my husband-to-be is obsessed, and I mean OBSESSED, with full-fat Coke. Our dentist probably trembles whenever he walks through the door. 😂 Honestly, this is just okay. It smells like a fizzy glass of cola with a big fat wedge of lemon floating on top. And much like my fiancé would happily guzzle the real thing down in a matter of minutes, this disappeared from my skin almost just as quickly. I do like it. It's fun, a little gimmicky, and definitely has that fresh, fizzy quality that works nicely for summer. But we both came away feeling a bit... meh. The dry down also brings out a peppery note that made me sneeze, which wasn't exactly the grand finale I was hoping for. It's cute, it's fun, and I can absolutely see the appeal, especially if you're a cola lover. But would I hunt down a full bottle? Probably not. This one can stay as a fun little sample in my collection.

Smells like Coca Cola with some citrus it’s fresh and effervescent perfect for summer but it doesn’t last on my skin maybe 30 mins max so I was bummed BTW this doesn’t smell like bath and body works I scream float this is more Citrusy and effervescent. It’s similar but this is nicer. It just doesn’t last long

Yeah this is the least fav of mine from the collection... But damn, it really does smell like coca cola at first, hah! Sadly, it doesn't sit well on my skin. It has this unisex-masculine feel to it, I would call it "laundry freshness" - a lot of masculine scents have it and so does this! I think it's the lemon that makes it also smell the cheapest out of the bunch. I wanted to like this, but I've always been more of a Pepsi Max girl :P

Surprised to see so many positive reviews here, so take my view with a pinch of salt, but I really disliked this. I didn't find the cola accord very realistic, and instead got huge 'cleaning product' vibes. I usually don't like cleaning product comparisons in perfume reviews, cause of course a lemon or pine scented perfume is gonna remind you of your lemon or pine scented cleaning product, but there's something different here. It smells so much like cleaning chemicals (like literally get bleach vibes on opening & drydown) that it reminds me of the very specific smell of my Duck toilet cleaner in the opening. I used to work as a cleaner & it was giving me flashbacks!

An unexpected freshie- like a cleaning product. Unisex. This was a free mini when I bought Caramel Crunch. Too fresh/clean for my tastes, but I'm glad I tried it. I would wear this to work on a hot day. Very very little cola. More like lemon wood Pledge. Went from AC indoors to hot outdoors- it sweetens up in the heat. Becomes creamier.

This one is probably my favourite of the three new flankers. The cola opening is very realistic, and though it does dry down to a laundry-like lemon-y smell (personally, it reminds me of a spa), I think it smells soooo good and refreshing, though I do wish the cola opening lasted longer. Need to get my hands on this ASAP.

Bonbon Cola Fizz opens with an amazing fizzy cola-lemon freshness that smells like a chilled Pepsi Twist on skin. It’s fun, uplifting, and super refreshing, but the performance is disappointing because it fades within about 30 minutes. Gorgeous opening, weak longevity.

Love the opening, it's so fun - but sadly fades away rather quickly. 1 hour in you're left with a faint memory of ...a generic fruity-floral. Doesn't have the staying power I was expecting; to really enjoy the fizzy cola scent you need to reapply often.

It indeed starts with a very strong cola note then it is mostly a fizzy sour citrus with some musk, which is nice but it is the cola that gives it any interesting feature and it is gone after a while
