Bonbon Spring Summer 2018

It ́s been almost impossible for me to retrieve this perfume. After searching everywhere I finally found it at Ebay and a company called The Beauty Club. I was unsure if I would take a chance and order it since it ́s quite a lot of money with a deliverer I wasn ́t certain about. But I couldn ́t resist since the original BonBon is my signature and this one seemed like its younger sister in a summer dress. Today it arrived and what a treat! Summer berries covered in caramel in the perfect summer dessert. It smells of raspberries and strawberries, caramel and a tiny hint of musk. I really loathe musk when it ́s too strong but in this it ́s just wonderful. The whole composition is wonderful and I can see myself using this all year round even if summertime is it ́s natural habitat. It still has the BonBon DNA but in a lighter, airier way and still with the gourmand stamp. I don ́t get any of the flowers wich I don ́t mind at all. For an EdT it holds up really well, especially with the fruity notes that can be a bit elusive in perfumes, but I hope this will come in an EdP version. The bottle is a real beauty and fits the scent nicely. This is already one of my favourites! LOVE it!!!

I was finally able to try this today and it's a love! To me, it feels like a light version of the original Bonbon with the peach replaced by strawberries/raspberries, which you can really smell in the opening. The caramel makes its presence known as it dries down. It is delightful, pretty, and definitely summery. The sillage is soft to moderate. I think that's a good thing for the summer. It's a perfect light summer scent for the gourmand lovers! I think if you love the original Bonbon, you will love this one. EDIT: I have now worn this a few times so I have a bit of a better feel for it. I absolutely LOVE it! I think the opening is more like a sweet sparkly grapefruit - it immediately lifts up your mood! - followed by a light strawberry/caramel. It's like a vague, distant memory of the fair, with its mix of strawberry cotton candy and caramel apple scents, but always light, never cloying. And it actually lasts all day - over 10 hrs and I can still smell it on my arms.

It ́svery similar as the 2017 edition if you don ́t smell it side by side.But this is more on the fruity side and the 2017 is on the peach & citrus. The opening has a very fresh very lovely feeling with the zesty fruits.The strawberry is the most prominent note and it ́s very refreshing and fruity-sweet.Just lovely. How it start to calm down it ́s very similar to the 2017 version(in style & mood) but you can sense the fruity twist in it.The final dry down is more floral than the 2017 edition and more soft musky-caramel. This version is just as gorgeous as the 2017 version,just more fruity but similar. The longevity is still ok for me,after time it ́s a skinscent but you can still smell it. The bottle and the whole composition is utterly lovely,and it ́s a very refreshing sweet,playful,happy,cheerful scent for the summer and spring. If you loved the 2017 version,you will love this one more. I love it,and I will love the other versions too.

Based on one-time test: I have the original Bonbon and like it but this was a love at first sniff!such a pretty,sparkly strawberry-caramel treat!it's very delightful.it's sweet but not cloying at all and it doesn't smell like just a food essence thanks to a soft whisper of musky florals The only downside was that it seems to be very faint and fleeting on my skin.I could barely smell it even in first hour of application,but I guess it's my bad.I have the experience of being semi-anosmic in case of caramel perfumes in first wearings.the other downside is that it's veryyy expensive in my country.I wish it won't become impossible to find at the time that I can afford it

This smells like fresh, tarte strawberry lemonade with some fresh baked pound cake in the background, surrounded by bushes of blooming spring florals. its actually very very nice - and one of my best blind buys. in comparison with the original - the original is baked peaches covered in warm caramel sauce.

Fruity, sweet....DELICIOUS!!! omg this fragrance is mouthwatering. I feel like a bon bon when I wear it haha. so sad is limited edition :( Moderate sillage and longevity!

I found a tester bottle of this for 42$. To me it was worth it, because of the bottle. Viktor&Rolf makes the best testers, they always have a cap and there is no writing on the bottle that says it a tester version, so why would I pay the full price 😁 But the scent, I can totally see why some people could be disappointed. It’s definitely weak (edt) and kinda basic citrusy fresh and fruity sweet perfume. It’s nice and pleasant and likeable, just not very special or stand out. It’s safe for people who aren’t that crazy about original perfumes. I personally am not mad about it, because I found it for a good price, and as I said, the bottle is just soo beautiful 🍬

I kept the bottle eve thought the contents are long gone. It's nice, if a little generic. I could never get past the strong strawberry note, which rendered it a little too acidic for the whole Bon Bon theme. They would have done better to amplify the raspberry note which had more sweetness, but enough tartness to it to keep the fragrance from moving into a sticky-sweet realm. The strawberry kept the entire fragrance from feeling well blended. That said, this feels more like a BBW spray than a perfume, though less synthetic and headache-inducing.

Magdalena81.1 I tested it in theperfumeshop store and can see they still sell it. Like the perfume, it smells with very juicy strawberry, very summery!

I don't typically like writting negative reviews, but when I do - I mean it. The original Bonbon was nice, but this one is not! Artificial plastic "berry" and generic "flowers" on the base of cheap sweet musk. No caramel. Not even properly gourmand, just meh.. smells like a body spray, and honestly, even most body sprays smell better than this. No, it does not smell disgusting or outright bad, but it is barely even pleasant. So disappointing!

This perfume smells so so cheap I cannot believe that it's Victor and rolf. It does smell pleasant but smells like raspberry shower gel with some sugar mixed in. Definitely not worth the price, ended up selling my bottle.

The best Bonbon yet. The opening is an explosion of raspberry with a delicate twist of strawberry. It's sweet, but not at all sickly. Half an hour later the caramel and flowers make their grand entrance and the fragrance flourishes into something astounding. It becomes a perfect blend of fruit/floral/gourmand in equal parts. Finally it dries down to delicious base notes of berries and caramel. It's rare to find a fragrance where the fruity notes last for even one hour let alone the 12+ hours that this lasts. I love the original Bonbon, and I liked Bonbon Couture but found the latter oddly pungent. The 2017 Spring Summer tempted me, but I found the longevity too poor so never purchased. But this version is magic. Sillage is soft to moderate. Longevity is 12+ hours. If you like the original, you will love this. Perfect for both daytime and evening. It's playful, sexy, but at the same time elegant and refined ... It's simply beautiful. Thank you V&R xxx

I personally find this fragrance to be something special. I was worried that, although Viktor&Rolf, this was going to be another typical 'Fruity Floral Gourmand' - and I was completely wrong. For starters, nothing about this smells synthetic to me. The opening is a burst of dewy, juicy strawberry and raspberry, and to my nose they smell almost perfectly balanced. The caramel, musk and florals are definitely there, acting as incredibly luscious enhancers. Every note is noticeable, but no single one is dominant - blending is key, and V&R have that one mastered. On myself, it lasts roughly 2-3 hours before becoming a skin scent, but those first few hours validate the hefty price tag of this fragrance, at least for me anyway. I give this gorgeous little thing a mouthwatering 8/10 :)
