Bonbon Spring Summer

Sweet, warm and pretty. Overall, I really like it but it's not a complete love. And honestly? I'm a little disappointed. For a bottle of perfume that cost nearly £60, I wanted "wow!" and I didn't get that. Starts off with bright citrus fruits and not much else. Like a cocktail with added fruit syrup. Maybe some light sugar dusting around the rim of the glass. BonBon Spring Summer definitely reminds me of a fruity Escada fragrance. Likeable, light and easy to wear but nothing groundbreaking. I don't get any dreamy caramel, which is one of the main reasons why I chose this this version of BonBon. Boyfriend said I smelled "nice." and that I smelled exactly the same as the perfume I was wearing earlier... (I was wearing Beyonce's Heat Rush!) He gave it a 7/10, and I hate to admit it, but I agree with him. There's nothing to dislike with Bonbon Spring Summer, but there's nothing that made me go "oooh, I need this in my life forever and always!" which is what I wanted for such a hefty price tag. He also said I reminded him of older relatives who wore something similar. (I'm 26.) And I think he's right. I think this might be a wonderful Summer scent for someone more mature than me. Overall, I like it, but I'll be selling it with a heavy heart. The bottle and presentation are absolutely stunning, but to be honest, I have better Summer fragrances that I love and enjoy more than this cute little bottle. Sigh, my search for the perfect Victor&Rolf perfume continues...

Truly nice, light caramel scent, soft sweet, also including prominent citrus note. Despite the name 'spring summer', it's suitable for almost all seasons and weather conditions. I think it would be the best for transitional periods like fall or spring. Gentle and alluring. What is more, bottle is true beauty! Update: I really like it, but caramel and peach notes are always the tricky ones to my nose, especially if they are blended together. It is like a caramel candy melted in fruits.

A flanker of the Bonbon line I really enjoy from start to finish. It has just enough sweetness from the sugar and caramel without going overboard, just enough citrus from the orange and grapefruit without giving that typical blast and a coziness that envelopes you in a blissful cloud. A scent for all seasons. The original Bonbon dna but toned down and fresher, perfect for non super sweet lovers, like me. Longevity not the best though.

A well balanced fruity sweet scent. Staying power is exceptional, so is the silage.

I have been looking online for this fragrance since I saw news about it coming out, with no luck. If you live in Canada, I saw this at Shoppers drugmart in Calgary Chinook Mall. I was completely shocked to have found it there. Original Bonbon is one of my all time favourite fragrances, even the Couture I like. This version i find is nothing like the other bonbons, it is extremely fruity, almost like tropical fruity. Lots of grapefruit in the beginning and then some black currant. I found it was kind of sharp and it did not have much base to it, like it was missing something. Even for a summer version, this does not seem fresh to me or well blended. The other bonbons are sweet and smooth and candy like, this version I have been so excited for but I am extremely disappointed. Pass for me.

I just saw a good bargain on this perfume and couldn't resist buying it and now am happily wearing it on my birthday. To give you some clues, I should mention that such blind purchases are not typically me. I mean I'm a kind of person who tries a perfume multiple times on skin and then decide whether or not I like it, but the deal was sort of irresistible, specially since some people have compared this perfume to Escada ones. (a sweeter version of course) Indeed, I don't find much similarities with Escada fruity bomb perfumes. Maybe from the bottle, there is a vague similarity, but that's all. At the first sniff, it reminds me of Nina (original apple one) which might be the effect of citrus with sweet undertones. This impression disappears soon and then I smell exotic fruits. Just imagine papaya, dragon fruit and pineapple served in a sweet syrup, but mostly this is sheer canned pineapple. I quite enjoy this stage, as I consider it super classy! Maybe because all of the super classy females I see here and there, smell something like this. After this long stage finishes, the perfume shifts into some sweet vague aroma which is not bad and the sweetness doesn't bother me. You may not believe, that this was my first blind buy ever! I confess that I may not buy it for full price after careful assessment. Yet, I'm happy to have it now.

I can't even remember exactly where I purchased it last month LOL. Some unfamiliar store out of the country popped up when I did a search on the internet for this and I got a big bottle for under a hundred including shipping. I usually don't purchase over $50 bottles of anything without smelling first but I love Bonbon so much that I knew I would love this fragrance and I was not wrong. The beginning is very citrusy but also has a bonbon undertone. It is the most beautiful thing imaginable if you like bonbon. Dry down unfortunately all of the Citrus goes away and it becomes bonbon. So what you're paying for is the 10 minutes of citrus which in my opinion is worth it because the combination is beautiful. In fact I'd like to find that store and get another one because I've noticed they are trying to sell these and some cases for 350 on eBay. I look at this as an investment

Scored a bottle online! It could have easily been called FruityBomb! Haha! Juicy tropical fruits melt into sugary caramel. That's it. Not much development. It's an edt, so I wasn't expecting it to have the biggest personality. It's just delicious, and that's all that matters to me. You wanna drink the top notes, but they don't last very long on me at all. It turns to a much lighter version of the caramel and sugar that is the majority of the original BonBon, IMHO. I really like it, and wish I ordered 2 bottles. I'll drain this edt rather quickly if I don't spray wisely. It's rainy and cold in my neck of the woods, so I'll wait to rock it when it's warmer/sunny. Can't wait! ^_^

Jonr951---did you buy on eBay? I scored one too, it was an awesome deal. As you've already stated, it is an awesome fruity scent! Wish I bought another bottle too. I asked and he does not have anymore bottles:(

Oh I do hope this will be released in Australia!! It just sounds divine and would look lovely with all my other BonBon Bottles.

For Canada, this is going to be out in the Bay in mid June (hopefully if it arrives in time). Just a heads up.
